Dr Hecker and staff have been awesome! They really take time to talk with me at each appointment to solve the problems that Im experiencing. All off the staff that have been doing my treatments have been equally good and attentive to my personal case. The front desk ladies are super friendly and welcoming as well!!

I went to Dr. Hecker after a failed surgery to repair a torn peroneal tendon. I was in constant pain,and unable to walk without a limp. New X-rays and an MRI were ordered. Dr. Hecker advised me my foot was a complete mess. I had two choices : A complete foot reconstruction with a 50% successrate, or alternative treatment from him with a 70% success rate. I chose Dr Hecker. I was treated withprolotherapy, laser therapy, and physical therapy. My foot is now 95% back to normal. With a little moretime, I expect to be completely pain free. Everyone was nice, but most important to me, was how Dr. Hecker was determined to get me back on my feet, without surgery.

First appointment I waited 2 hours to see Dr. Hecker, good thing they asked me to show up 10 minutes early! He then sent me to Certified Rehab Services to have a custom shield made to protect my ankle. They told me the shield would take 2-3 business days to make, now they say it will take over 2 weeks. My ankle is getting worse, no way to know if his advice will actually accomplish anything because there has been no actual service provided to me. 2 stars instead on 1 because the staff is friendly.

Dr. Hecker is great and shows a lot of attention to his patients. He never rushes you out the door and takes his time to explain whats going on. Im been working with him for a better part of this year and have seen a lot of progress. His staff and treatment is really great too. 5 stars for sure!

Super knowledgeable and friendly staff! Dr. Hecker was able to diagnose me quickly after having some ankle pain and recommend some inserts/compression without over-complicating everything. I definitely trusted his judgement and while i dont hope to get another injury...I would for sure come back if i did!

I had a stress fracture in my left foot which was incorrectly diagnosed as cellulitis by my primary physician. So I walked around with a fractured foot before I saw Dr. Hecker. A good X-ray correctly revealed the problem and my foot was stabilized. I found Dr. Hecker to be personable, knowledgeable and efficient. My foot has healed nicely and his follow up care has been very good. His office staff are also pleasant and well informed. I would recommend him without reservation.

Where do I even start!? Dr. Hecker and his team are absolutely amazing! I have been dealing with foot and ankle problems for about 8 years. Have seen multiple doctors in multiple states and no one could do anything for me or they just wanted to do surgery. I went to Dr. Hecker in April 2019. Right away he saw something no one else did and guaranteed me he could fix my ankle in a matter of months. I laughed and said if you do that, Im treating you to dinner. I highly recommend Dr. Hecker and his office! I had shin pain for two years that wasnt responding to PT, constant icing, rest or other therapies. Dr. Hecker recommended a genetic test, which revealed a mutation in a gene. After a year on a supplement, my almost constant shin pain is nearly completely gone. I am back to running normally and Im so relieved! We also tested one of my sons, who has the same mutation. He is recovering much better from his runs, and has even seen significant cognitive benefits, which Dr. Hecker said might happen. Amazing knowledge of such a unique field of study. Also, he is kind, listens well, and gives plenty of opportunity for questions. Im so thankful to him!!

Great experience! The whole team is very professional and easy to work with. Appointments start on time, diagnosis is thorough and not rushed at all, and Dr. Heckers guidance and recommendations were spot on. My daughter is back to her dance team and pain-free.

We have been seeing Dr. Hecker for over 15 years. He has helped us with sore arches, developmental orthopedics for our son, etc. He takes as much time as needed with each patient as needed. He has prescribed needed and appropriate physical therapy. He has recommended as well as created effective orthotics and braces. We highly recommend him for any orthopedic need involving the lower leg.

I was treated by Doc Hecker for the last few months for some hip issues that will help me with movement in the years ahead. I’m not giving a bad review because of a bad experience, everyone is really awesome and nice, but awesome and nice doesn’t get rid of foot pain. I had two visits by my second I let them know the pain wasn’t better but he( the Podiatrist) Insisted that the original course of action was still the best one. Long story short my feet still hurt just as much as they ever did but now I’ve wasted almost $500 with nothing to show for it so I’m not pleased and won’t be returning.

Dr Hecker and his staff are amazing!! I was shot in the foot in the Las Vegas massacre on Oct 1st and Dr Hecker saw me the day after I returned from Vegas. Dr Hecker is so incredibly compassionate and knowledgeable! I would not be where I am in my healing process without him and his staff!!I would highly recommend Dr Hecker for any foot/ankle care needs. He has not only helped me in my traumatic experience, he has also helped my daughter throughout her competitive gymnastics career! Thank you, Dr. Hecker! I broke my foot in November, and after consultations with several docs, something just felt off about what they were telling me. I was being told that the next step after being in a walking boot for 8 weeks was surgery, and I wasnt ready for that yet. As a runner, I knew that surgery would probably make it difficult for me to return to the sport I loved. A friend of mine recommended Dr. Hecker to me, and I made an appointment for a fourth opinion. Im SO glad I did. Instead of recommending surgery, he told me that I actually had several other options to rehab it before even considering surgery. That was at the end of February. After following his recommendations and working with the PT clinic he sent me to, I am happy to report that Im back to run/walking 3 times a week and will participate in my first half-marathon post-injury in 6 weeks. I also genuinely felt like I was being listened to and not brushed off as just one more person he has to see. All around, working with him and his staff has been a tremendous experience. So happy that I went to him and took his advice, Im better off because of it!

If I could give this man and his staff 10 stars I would. I broke my foot, 12 weeks in a boot and 0 healing, I was looking at surgery when a client told me about Dr Hecker. I had a tear in the bottom of my foot and was prescribed the Hecker special brace.(as I so lovingly called it) I had tried several other ways to heal and none worked. I had a lot of pain by the time I went to see Dr. HECKER. He showed me so much patience and was very confident that this brace could heal me. He was absolutely correct. I totally doubted it, as it didnt make sense how it could work. 10 weeks later I am pain free. Ive been treated by Dr. Hecker twice for substantial issues in my plantar fasciitis and Achilles. Both times I tried everything I could find online or through a physical therapist to heal the issue to no avail. Both times, Dr. Hecker has gotten me feeling better and back to running. Its a process and doesnt happen overnight, but I was getting no progress before I went, and successful rehabilitation after. Last year after the plantar issue, I was able to run my fastest Horsetooth Half marathon out of 5 times running it, and I also went on to PR in my 9th marathon later in the year. Now I am coming back after treatment for the Achilles and expecting good races this year, whether personal records or not.The other thing I really like about Dr. Hecker is that he is always willing to answer your questions and is not pushing you out the door so he can get to his next patient. I have had ankle problems for about 5 years. Dr. Hecker was able to identify the cause and prescribed physical therapy that restored them almost completely. I am a true believer now. This is one of the best health care decisions I have ever made.

I injured my achilles running and Dr. Hecker and his staff got me back up and running again a lot faster than I thought was possible. I will admit that the treatment was occasionally a bit uncomfortable (that PiezoWave2 machine is... intense) but I was largely pain-free within a week of starting treatment and the injury healed in weeks instead of months. I went into for my first appointment in early August and last appointment was today in mid-Sept. and I healed faster than anyone else that I run with believed was possible. I was impressed with everything from start to finish and would highly recommend Dr. Hecker for people with similar injuries.

I had a foot injury this summer that required a boot. I tried to get in to see an orthopedic doctor but the wait was over a month long. I found Dr Hecker online and they made a special appointment to get me in right away.Dr Hecker’s staff are very friendly, professional, and courteous. Dr. Hecker is either a magician or the best doctor I’ve ever been to. I can’t remember the last time a doctor has been willing to spend so much time in one patient room. This does have a downside, as he tends to run behind later in the day (book a morning appointment if you can). I’ll take this trade off any day of the week though. I’m so used to a doctor only spending 1-2 minutes in the same room (hey, it’s the cost-laden insurance driven world we live in).

The receptionist and medical assistants were all friendly, efficient yet professional. They knew what they were doing. The office was clean and welcoming. Dr. Hecker clearly explained everything to me. He was also kind to my husband. He ordered different splints and boots for my foot. The company who made them employed knowledgeable staff. Dr. Hecker ordered P.T. for me. The Rebound staff were all great-smart and kind. Dr Hecker and P.T communicated with each other about my progress. I am so glad I went to Dr. Hecker. I am now able to bike, garden and go for walks painfree without the possible complications of surgery.

Dr. Hecker is incredible!! He listens and works extensively to make sure he helps you heal. I had several other people tell me that I probably just shouldnt run anymore and that its just the way I walk that is causing pain. However, Hecker worked with me and told me there is no reason I shouldnt be able to do everything I love! Im in the PT process now and things look good so far, but I know if pain comes back he wont give up on helping me heal!

I went to another doctor twice to get my ingrown toenails fixed and I felt everything. The ingrown toenails came back as well and when they did, they were worse than before. When I went to go see doctor Hecker he was able to take care of my toes without me feeling anything and so far they havent come back. Doctor Hecker was very respectful and very pleasant to talk to. After unsuccessful treatments elsewhere for Achilles tendinopathy (complicated by a bone spur), I came to Dr. Hecker. His comprehensive treatment plan allowed me to become active again immediately, wearing a very effective foot and ankle brace. Three months ago, I had the Amniotic tissue injection and course of electromagnetic impulse and low light laser treatments. On a recent trip I was able to hike 10 miles with no pain and I am back doing aerobics classes in regular running shoes despite the bone spur. It all feels little short of a miracle, especially since I am in my 70ties. I highly recommend Dr. Hecker and his staff for their effective treatments and can do attitudes.

I have been to several foot doctors trying to relieve severe pain in my left foot. Dr. Hecker is by far the best foot doctor I have seen. He is everything I want in a doctor. I am what is kindly called a Masters Runner. Unfortunately, I caused an acute injury on my left Achilles tendon during the Winter. I then ignored the pain for about four months. By the time I went to see Dr. Hecker, I had difficulties running more than two miles and was in pain most of the time. Dr. Hecker treated me with prolotherapy, which was also painful. I wont kid about that.Its now been about 8 weeks since I finished the therapy and Im running again. It was a bit of a hard road, but the treatment was not a band-aid. The tendon is healed. Completely healed. There is no pain; there is nothing that makes me remember that I injured it.Not only is my tendon as good as it was before I injured it, the subsequent physical therapy turned up why I injured it in the first place. Im actually better than I was before I injured the tendon. I cannot recommend prolotherapy and Dr. Hecker any more highly than that.

I came to Dr. Hecker for a very chronic ankle injury. Ive sprained it 3 times in the last 20 years! Over the course a few months, he healed my ankle through various techniques, including an active brace as well as light therapy treatments and physical therapy. It was a lot of work on my part, but am so glad I went through it and that Dr. Hecker was there to explain and answer all my questions.

Dealt with plantar fasciitis for over 2 1/2 years and severe pain for 6 months. Im very active playing tennis, pickleball and golf and did not want to stop to allow for healing. Dr Hecker discovered I had a great deal of scar tissue and with 8 weeks of being in a boot, (I was told I could still play, the more I played the better my recovery) and 8 weeks of Physical Therapy, I am in NO pain. I am so thankful!!!

Dr. Hecker does not rush appointments. Listens well, gives good feedback. Understood my preference for long-term foot health in addition to the more acute situation. I also have an unusual insurance situation and the office personnel worked with me on that, in a professional manner.

Dr. Hecker takes the time he needs to really figure the problem and make treatment recommendations that work. My road to recovery felt like a long process, but he began with a very conservative approach and only when I did not respond did he suggest something more involved. Ive availed myself of their services for broken foot bones to torn ligaments and came away impressed with the modalities used and the results achieved. This is one of those rare places where the staff takes as much time a you need to go over the problems and treatment options.

Dr. Hecker fixed my long-term plantar fascia tear (I was unaware it was actually torn) with a few months of shots and a combination of functional and physical therapy. I came in with an injured foot and Dr. Hecker diagnosed the problem quickly, aggressively treated the injury, and listened to my concerns about my upcoming running events. He got me back running as quickly as possible and allowed me to be active during my recovery.

I really have nothing but positives to say about Dr Hecker and his ENTIRE staff. My only negative would be that I wish I didn’t wait so long to decide to come in for an office visit.

Dr. Hecker is an outstanding physician and truly cares about his patients! I have seen him as a patient myself for a foot/ankle injury and I am a physical therapist that sees many of his patients. He takes the time to listen to his patients and really tries to get the whole picture. His whole approach is to fix the problem instead of covering up symptoms. His experience treating athletes is un-matched by any DPM in Northern Colorado and is very up-to-date on current evidence and research in treating various sports injuries. I would recommend Dr. Hecker to anyone!

Went to a general sports dr for my daughter’s broken ankle. They took the cast off too early and she ended up having problems. We should have gone straight to Hecker in the first place. He got her all fixed properly and it wouldn’t have gone so much better if we had come here in the first place.

Best ingrown toe nail removal experience I have ever had. The first time I got it done it hurt so bad and grew back right away. Dr. Hecker is so good at removing them it was nothing compared to the previous time I got it removed. If youre hesitant on getting your ingrown toe nail removed dont be he makes the process painless!

Actually this is from Sue Schuchter. I have had a swollen ankle for four years and had about given up on getting any relief. Among other simple things Dr. Hecker fitted me with a compression stocking. After wearing it for a few hours the swelling was gone. I now can manage the swelling with the compression stocking when needed. Needless to say I am grateful for the relief but also for Dr. Heckers kindness, concern and great ability to listen and being creative in his treatment.

I have been a patient of Dr. Hecker for several years and didnt mind moving locations with him! The office is lovely and the staff is very pleasant!! As always, Dr. Hecker addressed my concerns and cured my pain in no time!

After spending over $400 for orthotics prescribed by a different office for a bunion problem, Dr Hecker prescribed an anti inflammatory gel and $40 orthotics; thats all it took. All is GREAT now thanks to Dr. Hecker who took the time to examine my issue and explain in detail what was going on with my foot. Even though my issue was small compared to more serious issues he deals with, he took the time and for that I am greatly thankful.

Got nowhere with no results. Charged me plenty for compression socks, MRI etc. Told me insurance would cover things, but no, then bill me 8 months later. Hecker was nice, but his billing needs help.

I saw Mr Hecker 3 times. First was diagnosis to put me in a brace for my foot for my pain in the ball of my foot.saw him 2 weeks after that----. 40 min sitting in Dr. room- 5 min face to face with Dr. ($150 charge) _ I said no changes are taking affect--HE said just trust him.saw him 4 weeks later, same exact routine- 45 min in Drs wating room, 10 min face to face- (another $150 charge)... I said no change is happening, He said JUST trust him. and see him in 2 weeks and go to PT....I went to PT, nothing is helping... didnt see him again...I DONT TRUST HIM ANYMORE...

I was born with a birth defect of a clubfoot and wore a cast for the first 5 years of my life and then braces from age 5-10 years old. After 65 years my foot finally fell apart literally and had to have reconstructive surgery on the foot and ankle. The orthopedic surgeon after 5 months of healing wanted to go back in and rebuild it again as he felt the foot was not healing.I saw Dr. Tom Hecker before the surgery and after news of the surgeon wanting to start all over again. After consulting with Dr. Hecker I chose a more conservative route. With patience and some other modalities of treatment I avoided a 2nd surgery and my foot is finally healed to where I can resume a normal lifestyle.I would absolutely recommend Tom Hecker with anyone with foot or ankle problems. He care and treatments were right on the money and his genuine concern for your health and well being is his top priority. The time he gives you is way different than most physicians. He takes his time and cares. Not like most that walk in spend 5 minutes and are gone.If you want world class treatment from a world class podiatrist I would say to you without a doubt..........Dr. Tom Hecker is your Doctor. Dr. Hecker and his staff are wonderful, friendly, and make going to the doctor fun. Dr. Heckers plan for treatment worked so well and got me out of pain. I am so grateful for his knowledge, kindnes and expertise.

I have been to foot doctors in the past who only view surgery as the means to provide a cure for past ailments. I appreciate Dr. Heckers approach of the non-invasive. The pain in my feet has diminished 80 % since my first visit three weeks ago after he took X-rays added some pads to my boot inserts. He also offered future therapy if my discomfort is not gone completely in a few more weeks. I highly recommend Dr. Heckers preactice.
