I love Dr Shah. He is such a nice person and doctor - out of all the doctors I’ve seen over 30 years of pain he is the only one who diagnosed my problem through MRIs. I had my spine fused and he was amazing. I highly recommend this physician !

After I got injured, I went to Insight. I worked with the pain specialist, chiropractor care and then Dr. Shah. It was decided I needed surgery and he was the first to hear me out and listen to what I was going through at the time. October 30th I was scheduled for surgery. My 1 hour procedure turned into 3. I had more damage done then what was expected. I’ve been recovering for 3 months and I am now not only pain free but my symptoms are gone. I get to go back to work on Monday. Thank you to everyone at insight for helping me especially Dr. Shah! I couldn’t have asked for a better care team!

I see in the reviews that someone was turned away from surgery because the person had medicaid which pays minimal. I went in for a broken finger which I had already put in a splint. I took the spint off and they applied tape. I was billed for surgery and not told ahead of time. So I am currently paying a $100 copay because the doctor put tape on my fingers. Yes, just tape. I should have been notified that I was having a surgical procedure so I could have refused. Yes, they were nice. But I would prefer a doctor who is in it for care... not just money.

I first met Dr. Shah when he moved to the area & started doing surgery at the hospital I worked at. After seeing him perform surgery, his skill & the way he cared for & treated his patients I would never see any other local neurosurgeon. He always listens & never tries to rush me out of the office. I have complete confidence in him.** Im updating to add Dr. Shah does surgery as a last resort. What surgeon does that? A good & ethical one. I have referred many friends & any family member in need of a neuro surgeon. Over a decade & I still think he is great.

Dr. Shah did everything right. He confidently looked at me and told the truth. He was the first person in my medical chaos to show a true compassion above just treating me like just another face. Listened, looked, followed through with his word on what he said he would do. Then, Lexi an awesome person working in his office, she took the ball and without hesitation ran with it. They listened and truly helped my situation by just slowing down and I feel they put the patient, me first above just a production line feel that is creeping into our healthcare system. His follow up to my surgery has been excellent ~ he cares.And my KIDS so appreciated his care to me and THEM during a very difficult time ~ my unexpected BRAIN surgery! He answered their many questions, even when asked repeatedly. AND ... he’s so very humble. Ya ~ I had brain surgery. He said I was a lucky girl to recover so well (little to no I’ll effects). Words can’t explain how compassionate and professional Dr. Shah and his staff are. I went to 3 different surgeons prior to selecting Dr. Shah for my back surgery. There was no comparison! I went to multiple neurosurgeons prior to coming to see Dr. Shah and due to my young age and not “looking” like I should be in pain other offices and doctors didn’t respond to my concerns and the pain I was in. Dr. Shah took the time to listen his office has passion and I am so happy with their team ! I recommend his office to anyone who can relate to my situation or just anyone who is looking for an amazing office for your needs. I ended up finally getting the surgery I needed and they don’t stop there , they continue to be there throughout the journey. Amazing people and care that’s and understatement.

Dr Shaw explains everything, so you fully understand your diagnosis and treatment plan. If something comes up or he’s going to be out of town when you have an appointment he will come in on Saturday to take care of you. The staff are extremely friendly, professional and willing to do the extra to make your visit as best as it can be.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Shah. My husband has been under his care for years and Dr. Shah has always delivered compassionate exceptional care. He is an honest and hardworking surgeon and it is evident that he truly cares about his patients. Very recently, my daughter had to be evaluated by neurosurgery and the first person I thought of was Dr. Shah, because I trust him. And because of his advice, my daughter is feeling better, and was able to avoid surgery. I highly recommend him!

Dr. Shah performed back surgery on my husband recently and we were both extremely nervous about the procedure. Dr. Shah is wonderful and took time to answer any questions that we had and explained what he was going to do to repair the damage. Nina has been a Godsend throughout this entire process. She kept in constant contact with us after his surgery & subsequent discharge home, made sure any questions or concerns we had were relayed to Dr. Shah (who went on vacation and still made sure to answer quickly every single time!), and just put our minds at ease. She is awesome! Dr. Shah and his staff are very cognizant of the fact that I am working while also taking care for my husband and offered to take him home after appointments in order for me not to miss too much work. Although I stayed for his appointments, this thoughtfulness is appreciated more than they know! Dr. Shah and his staff truly go above and beyond, not only for their patients, but for their caregivers too.

I was diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2016. I had met with two surgeons in Chicago, IL and neither would perform surgery. They claimed, it would be too much of a risk because, the tumor was located on my optic nerve. A family member, who worked in the community of Flint, Mi was aware of Dr. Shah and recommended me to get a third opinion. I met with Dr. Shah, he was kind, he listened, he answered many questions and concerns I had. I insistently felt confident, I found the right surgeon. Surgery was a success, I recovered quickly and was out of the hospital in less than a week. Most of the tumor was removed and I only had minimal radiation and chemotherapy. Its been two years, I am still following up with Dr. Shah every 6 months and my MRIs are CLEAR! If you are unsure about what your next step for treatment, surgery or questions you need to be answered in an honest and respectable way, you can count on Dr. Shahs advice and feel confident you are getting the right care from an excellent doctor and surgeon!

Dr Shah is the most wonderful man with the ability that is undiscribable to help people. I looked like a little old lady that couldnt even dress my self,drive, needed help to do everything. I had been living in pain that I couldnt describe and some doctors said it was in my head. But not doctor Shah he found my problem with in a few weeks a was in the operating room that was in 2010 and now I can do things by my self. Drive, cook, dress, this man have me my life back and cant thank him enough. Thank you for everything Dr Shah I will appreciate for ever. Dr. Shah its by far one of the most talented neurosurgeons I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with he is top-shelf hes helped my brothers wife my brother as well as myself I couldnt be happier 100% professional from the moment I met him I feel like I found a true friend his Insight pain management clinic on Hemphill Road and 475 in Flint is second to none kind courteous staff willing to help sometimes life throws you unfair curves but after surgery I knew I had the right man for the job I strongly recommend you talking to him I had back surgery everything is healing nicely hes very concerned and well take the time with you which is almost unheard of nowadays do yourself a favor if you need Precision work done on your body talk talk

Id been through three neurosurgeons before I was recommended Dr shah. He took one look at me and actually listened to me. He did my surgery is been trying to get done. Hes there even after surgery. He really cares for his patients. Best neurosurgeon there is, hands down

He this extremely thorough! Ive been to other doctors and he found what they didnt. He has my personal health and well being in mind and not just a hurry and get them out of here attitude. Plus he and his staff are very respectful which is extremely important to me personally. I wont go anywhere else. 5 Stars!***UPDATE*** 1 Yr & 4 months later... I wish I would have gone somewhere else! I had my back surgery 4 months ago and the incision STILL has not healed. The aftercare from Dr. Shah and his office leave EVERYTHING to be desired. Very incompetent!!! I was told at 2 1/2wk check-up that I didnt need the tape stitches anymore. Nor did I need Neosporin or bandages of any kind. Just antibacterial soap & water. 3 wks later incision started to drain. I wasnt asked to come in. Just send photos and antibiotics were prescribed only as precaution (not really needed he said). 1 1/2wk later it drained a lot! Again no appt just photos and another 2wk antibiotics but still no infection. But prescribed Polysporin as needed. I saw my family Dr 1 week later and she said it was infected and said to keep on with the bandages & Polysporin. At 3 month check-up (yes I wasnt seen since 2wk appt) Dr. Shah said it wasnt healing as fast enough (inside & out) but no antibiotics were prescribed and still insisted no infection but now to keep it covered and wanted a home nurse to now show us how to change bandages. Went to my family Dr. who said it still was infected & gave me antibiotics plus a shot of antibiotics. 1 month later the incision is almost healed. Hmm, go figure.

Dr. Shah is an amazing man with a wonderful bedside manner. He obviously cares about his patients and what happens with them. He did surgery on my lower back and shaved off parts of my herniated discs. Within 3 weeks I was back to feeling like myself again after nine months of pure agony. His staff and everyone else at Insight Pain Management are the best!

Dr Shah is awesome. Always explains in a way that you understand what he is saying without using terms you dont understand. Love love love. Did husbands back surgery. Would use him if i needed a back surgery.

Dr. Ebenezer has been very attentive with my mother in law’s surgery. He’s been around for appointments and make sure to answer questions when we were feeling anxious.

DO NOT go here if you have any kind of state aid and NEED surgery, they wont schedule you bc your insurance doesnt pay enough even if you really need surgery.. after waiting 2months for a surgical date they said theyd give me (they do take the ins, so does the facility), they said no bc they cant make enough money off of me and I need this surgery to live my life and help take my pain away, and take malfunctioning hardware out of my body at 30yo, but these heartless people could careless. Ive had nothing but problems since I stepped foot in their facility and it hasnt stopped yet.... None of their staff listen to anything you have to say when it pertains to your case and how you need to proceed; not the dr, not the scheduler, and god forbid any of the staff actually know they have a manager on staff or know how to contact them or even forward any problems to that person so that unhappy patients can potentially be helped before its too late..

Yes, having to visit a neurosurgeon is scary, but Dr. Shah was so comforting and caring, it really put my mind at ease! The staff and facilities were excellent as well. I highly recommend Dr. Shah and his group to all of my friends and family! Thank you!

Dr Shah and his staff are amazing, I first meet him when he offered to do a nessacry brain surgery on my 26 year old uninsured nice. He pull the strings and uses connections to get all of the hospital staff and surgical staff to donate their services. without his intervention she very well may have died, or at very least had a very poor quality of life, thanks to him and his initiative to do what is right by her she is an active healthy mother 2 at the age of 34. I have since seeing dr. Shah personally for lower back problems. He was able to get me back to work and healthy, and so unfortunately I had another injury requiring a spinal fusion. His knowledge and understanding of the inner workings of the injuries have been amazing, and his personal relationship with me has been what I have appreciated the most. He knows me by name and knows my case without having to look at a computer or a chart. He takes the time to get to know you and considers you his patient, not just a patient.

The place was beautiful. Was treated poorly. Pain was out of control despite medical intervention. Was told by Dr Shah tojust go try medical marijania . Was not even given an exam. If you are having serious back pain and have tried everything please do not mess around with anyone in flint. WENT TO HENRY FORD AND HAD SURGERY. My pain is now improving with therapy.

Received a microdisectomy late past year at the recommendation of Dr. Shah. It was the best decision that could have been made and I have had a 95% reduction in pain! He and his staff are friendly, knowledgeable and caring.

Dtr. Shah is an amazing person, I have no worries or concerns when Im in his care. He eplains the situations in details and puts your mind to ease. He is truely awesome ive been under his care for 3+ years and i have never been disappointed, always takes very good care of me.

I personally would recommend that any one who possibly needs Neuro surgery to contact Dr. Shaw. I had a C-5 disc replacement with no fusion needed. I also have bad arthritis in lower back and he rerecommend no surgery because it will only agrivate it making it more painful in the future. He is an extremely caring of his patience as he also performed successful surgery on my wifes back a few years ago. 3 weeks after surgery and I am free of headaches and some other pain caused from the bad disc in my neck. Also at the INN they have MRI imaging, 3 different pain management Dr.s and 3 different neuro surgeons. For my lower back they blazed my nerve endings, this has helped at least 80% since the injections. This has worked great for me and my pain.This place is outstanding and thats all I got to say about that.

The best place in Michigan for any back our neck issues. I will never trust anybody else with my spinal issues.

Wife was there for a back injury from a slip and fall on ice. The only help they would give her was to use marijuina. Did not even examine her or ask her about her pain or what was going on. Would NOT recomond!!!!!
