This clinical practice needs to reevaluate their workflows and greatly improve customer service. There is lack of responsiveness from the MA. I have left 8 messages with no response and when I visited the office, within 20 minutes, two other patients physically drove to the practice because they too, did not receive a call back. I could overhear the conversations and there is a great potential for safety issues if patients are not receiving prescriptions in a timely manner. This included the response time in my family’s situation. There are gaps in care here, and unless you are in a managed care insurance product, I would not recommend. They do not serve the vulnerable populations well, and that is a health equity issue for those with low health literacy. Without my intervention, these visits had potential to result in poor health outcomes due to poor communication. I hope this review can greatly help improve quality, because it is important to serve this community and population.

My father was on medication that he needed to balance his hormones after his pituitary gland had been removed due to brain surgery. He did fine as long as he was taking prescribed prescriptions. My Mom called Dr. Hammoud’s office to have a prescription refilled and after several days of calling finally was able to reach the office and speak to someone regarding refilling a prescription. She was told that my Dad needed to come in to see Dr. Hammoud before they would refill the prescription. My Mom explained that he was out of medication and literally needed this prescription to live! They refused to refill the prescription and just told her they would schedule an appointment but then they weren’t able to get my Dad in to see the Dr for several weeks, and they still refused to refill the prescription. Well, needless to say my Dad’s health deteriorated. My Mom was desperate and called another Dr (a family physician) who then filled the prescription with no problem. But by then, my Dad was in such dire straits he couldn’t swallow. He ended up going to the hospital and later died. I place the blame directly on Dr. Hammoud for my father’s death. I would give him negative stars but it doesn’t allow me to.

I wish so badly I could give a lower rating. Dr hammoud has NO bedside manner, his staff are rude, no one does their jobs properly. I have called 3 times in ONE week to get a refill of my husbands prescription. Only to be told oh Ill resend it. But it was definitely sent a few days ago. ONLY TO STILL NOT GET IT REFILLED. Plus, the last my husband told me, they arent following much of any kind of covid protocol. Definitely talking to the PCP about switching. This place is awful.

Im looking at these reviews and they all speak about his bedside manner and the wait time. I worked for Hammoud and he is the best in his practice. No his bedside manner isnt great, he doesnt talk a whole bunch and the wait may be long. But I bet your A1C is down to 7...thats all that matters...hes the best

First off, if I could give this place zero stars, I would. Dr. Hammouds care of my mothers diabetes was fine, I more have a beef against the prior authorization person, Misty. My mom called her eight times within three weeks and our pharmacy also called trying to get her medicine. My mom finally switched back to our regular doctor and less than an hour later, my mom was able to get her medicine. Needless to say, do not go here unless you dont want your medicine! And Misty if youre reading this, DO YOUR JOB!!!

In one way or another Doctor Hammoud has caused me grief. If its not because of my weight, then it is lack of count and understanding my prescriptions. Im on long-acting and short-acting insulin, but hes only giving me enough pin needles for my short-acting what am I supposed to do with my long-acting so that put it on my skin and hope it soaks in??

I do not recommend this doctor. I’ve been diabetic for 16 years and never been treated this poorly. The office staff is extremely rude. Dr. Hammoud is definitely just here for the money, not to help/treat his patients. I do not recommend this office.

Was sent by my regular Dr. to see Dr. Hammound for my thyroid. 1st visit I explained why my Dr. sent me there, he scheduled a scan of my thyroid. Go for the scan of my thyroid, was put in a room, after 45 minutes the Dr. comes in and wanted to know why I was there, told him and then waited another 30 minutes to get a scan, was sent back to my room, Dr. come in said there was nodules on my thyroid but nothing to worry about, see you in 3 years. Seen the Dr. all together maybe 10 minutes at most for both appointments. Wont go back there for a check up.

RUN AWAY!!!!!! This office is a NIGHTMARE. The billers dont answer the phone and you can leave voice mails every single day without a call back. They will sooner send your account to collections and ruin your credit score. Simply walking in to make a payment face-to-face isnt feasible when you work the same business hours they do and why should you have to miss time from work simply because they dont want to answer the phone or return your calls? They dont value your time, either...you will wait forever past your appointment time before you are called back into a room for a quick 5-10 minute visit with the doctor. RUN AWAY!!!! You would be better off finding any other doctors office to deal with than this hole.

From the age of 18 to 35 I saw Dr. Hammoud. I was fed up with the wait times getting longer and longer and the actual time with the doctor getting shorter. The problems wasnt getting addressed and he didnt listen to what I had to say. In the beginning it wasnt that bad he had good people working for him that made things easy and convenient those people have seemed to retired and or left for greener pasters. Starting over at a new endocrine. Not a lot to choose from in Genesee county. I wouldnt recommend anyone to go here. Unless you like waiting for hours in a lobby and being overlooked by the doctor that is supposed to help you.

Unprofessional, staff is rude, wait time is unacceptable.. He over books, their phone systems are non existant. I have nothing nice to say... So glad I switched! There are more professional endocrinologists near by. Save yourself the hassle and take your business to someone who has the time to listen to your concerns.

Rose,Your review/comment is somewhat incorrect. I am the biller for Dr. Hammoud and your insurance sets an allowable amount for all charges including injections, as to what is paid. Also, your policy has a copay and a deductible. The $150 you speak of was for your deductible and not our office over charging you. The $30 you are talking about, that your primary doctor charges is a copay. These two amounts are for totally different fees. I am sorry about your wait but sometimes this cannot be helped. We are a very busy specialist office and with only a few endocrinologist in the surrounding area we try to accommodate all patients with visits in a timely manner. Other offices have a 3-6 month wait. It is not uncommon to wait in any specialist office. I my self waited for 5 hours to U of M to see a specialist, but it was well worth the wait. I hope this clarifies some of your concerns.

My doctors office scheduled my appointment with Dr. Hammoud. I was scheduled for a Friday. I called on Monday to cancel because I made the decision to go through the University of Michigan. I ended up xall inj ng after they had closed for the day. Didnt get to it on Tuesday and on Wednesday I received a robo call asking to press 1 to confirm and 2 to cancel. I pressed 2 to cancel. On Friday I had a call from their office. The woman who called was rude. Saying, I wasnt there and had an appointment. I explained, that I did not have an appointment because I cancelled it w/ the robo call. Then she hangs up on me.... haha, whatever. Now, I get a $20.00 statement in the mail for a no show fee. Thats hilarious! Ive never been here and its already been a hassle.

Horrible horrible place that I hope to never have to go back to. Every time Ive gone, the wait has been over an hour and lobby and back area packed wall to wall. One of the times they called me back and I ended sitting back there waiting even longer but this time in a packed crammed hallway there wasnt even enough seats for everyone. Then I kept having to drag my newborn from room to room cause i had to have him with me and they make you switch rooms alot sometimes (for unnecessary reasons) All staff is unpleasant and the doctor has no bedside manor .Clearly he is in it for the money and doesnt care about patients. Didnt explain my medication, had to ask a nurse about after he rushed away. They insisted I HAD to be there at 12pm because they dont see people any later than that .Yet during my wait they were getting food delivered and all that . Why schedule people to wait around for You to eat lunch? I couldve came later and not rushed my kids in the car and stressed myself out trying to get there on time. Other people in the lobby complain of a long wait and one guy even had to get his money back and leave it took so long. Dr H told me the results of my biopsy, said come this way shoved my papers off and kept his back to me, walked away without even looking back at me, saying sorry or even so much as bye were done here, after having given me the worst news of my life. Over hour wait for 3 measly minutes with the dr. I hope the doctors and receptionist/staff read this .you can be in denial all you want but the reviews say otherwise. The only good reveiws they have are obviously staff family and friends fake reviews. Its time to shape up and get a better attitude ALL of you or get out of the medical field if ya clearly dont even care. STOP overbooking. Seriously, since the wait is gonna be hours long patients might as well find another endocrinologist even if they are out of county cause maybe they will care better and treat you better, I highly recommend it. Nice to know everybody was only concerned about their Christmas vacation and my tumor has to keep waiting...

Patients are over booked and you will sit for an hour or more before being called to a room then you wait some more for the doctor to show up for less than 3 minutes. He was giving me prolia injections for bone loss and he damaged the nerve in my arm so badly it was almost a year for it to heal. I now have the medicine delivered to my primary care doctor and her nurse gives me the shots and I have not had any problems with pain after the injections. He charged $150 to give me a shot that I get at my doctors office for $30. He also charged a lot more for the medicine than what it actually costs from the compounding pharmacy that delivers the medicine to my doctor.

I went to see Dr. Hammoud twice and both times his staff had someone elses file in with mine. Dr Hammoud told me what I have, gave me a simple pamphlet and said see you in two months...no explanation of what is wrong with my thyroid, just a script and out the door. I have worked in the medical field for 25 years and I have never mixed up patient files, not once much less twice and to have a doctor not explain to me what or how to take care of my thyroid problem is unacceptable....

Dr Jamal was awful, he spent more time on his phone that he did addressing my husbands issue. I want a Dr that is actually in the room with taking care of his PATIENT (my husband). Yet it was obvious his attention was on his phone conversation with what seemed to be a personal phone call. I wont be back.
