Dr. Bickel is fantastic. We have gone to her for our eye care for years. She gives a great and thorough exam. Her assistant Tori is friendly. Recently my 81 year Mom needed a second opinion and I took her to see Dr. Bickel who found several problems missed by my Moms previous doctor. Dr. Bickel talked to my Mom and listened to her concerns. Mom and I left feeling great about the appointment. Office staff has always been helpful, friendly and courteous.

Amazing Optometrist office! Dr. Hannah Cater was phenomenal, exceptionally personable, and cared to listen. Process from beginning to end was smooth and easy. It seems to me they carry top quality products, so I feel comfortable in purchasing there. Met manager Brandon, very friendly and helpful. Even offered suggestions on eyewear. Pretty great place! Go there! Wont be disappointed

I went to Ossip for an eye exam. Itd been awhile since my last exam and I had reading glasses with a very mild prescription. I figured Id get them updated since I spend most of my day in front of a computer. The exam was fine. A typical eye exam. They do ask to do some retina test that isnt covered by insurance which is annoying, but whatever. The problem came when I went to buy glasses. The glasses ended up costing a little over $300 after insurance, which felt pricey for reading glasses. My wife doesnt pay much more than that for a complicated prescription, so something felt off.I thought about it and went back to cancel the glasses order. The manager and saleslady were both very polite. Though the manager did immediately start throwing discounts at me to see if they could save the sale. If they could throw discounts at me when the sale was in danger then why couldnt they do that from the get go?I held firm and asked for my prescription and to cancel the glasses, and they did that. The problem came when I got a look at my prescription. Something they hadnt actually showed me after my exam. I was 20/20. The optometrist had only recommended some reading glasses with a slight magnification and blue light blockers that added $150 to the price of the glasses.Let that sink in for a moment. My vision was coming up perfect, a change from my last exam, and the change to my prescription they went for was giving me some overpriced reading glasses I could go across the street and get for ten bucks from Kroger. At no point did they mention this improvement in my vision. It was kept intentionally vague until I asked for the prescription and cancelled the glasses order. Shame on me for not asking them at some point and assuming they wouldnt try to bilk me out of $300 I didnt need to spend, but lets heap way more shame on them for trying to bilk me out of that $300 I didnt need to spend.I will not be returning to this location because apparently I dont need glasses anymore, something they werent going to tell me, but Id advise anyone else thinking of going here to avoid it because they werent going to tell me I didnt really need glasses anymore and their stuff is overpriced anyway.

I read the other reviews after visiting this office and laughed. They really are terrible to everyone! I went in to simply get a pair of sunglasses on my insurance before my benefit expired. The woman at the front desk was argumentative and insisted that insurance doesn’t cover non-prescription sunglasses. When I assured her mine did, and pressed her politely to check my insurance, she rolled her eyes and passed me to another desk assistant. The other woman confirmed I was right but struggled with communication (she was trying to neutralize the situation with the rude first pass but wasn’t assertive enough to get the job done). Meanwhile the first woman was huffing around (never apologized that she turned me away and she was wrong). I was persistent enough to eventually score my benefit sunglasses, but was made to feel like a con artist while doing it and trying my hardest to be kind and patient with extremely poor customer service. Do not go to this Ossip. I usually go to the one on 196th and see Dr. Fiddler. They are the absolute best.

I have an autistic child with extremely sensitive eyes. Sun in his eyes can ruin the whole day. The light on every screen he uses has to be turned down and he can see fine wearing sunglasses in the house - hes that sensitive. Other Optometrists have made eye exams very difficult not taking into considering his special needs and trying to run tests and use equipment that is make life easier for them and make them more money but made it very difficult for my children. The last experience pretty much ruined my sons whole opinion of eye doctors forever and it was apparent today when they just suggested they were going to shine a light in his eye and he started to cry remembering the last time. I went to see Dr. Bickel for my eye exam yesterday just to see who was in the office and how they interacted. I asked her assistant about bringing my son in and if it was OK to work around some of the tests. She assured me it was no problem. Before his exam today I explained his autism and simply asked them to explain everything they were going to do to him first so there were no surprises. Both the doctor and her assistant went out of their way to connect with my son, clearly explained what they were going to do and had manual options ready in case machines didnt work. The exam went great and Dr. Bickel went out of her way to make sure everything ran smoothly as we fit his new glasses. I truly appreciate all the love and care that went into our visit today and would recommend Dr. Bickel as your childs eye doctor too.

I really dont understand the negative reviews. The front office ladies have always been nice. They are upfront about costs and honest. The technician is talkative, fast but thorough. Dr. Woodke is very pleasant, sociable, and genuine. Not sure what else people want from an optometry experience but Ive always enjoyed my appointments here.

Only giving 1 star because you cannot leave 0 stars. Horrible experience twice and my son never even saw the optometrist!Over Christmas break my son mentioned that he was having a hard seeing the board at school so I went online and scheduled an appointment for January 2 at 11:30 AM. I received a confirmation email from Ossip Olio. On January 2, I arrive at the office with my son at 11:15 and it was closed. Several days later, I received a voicemail from the office explaining that they were experiencing issues with the online scheduling system. At that time, I did not have the time to reschedule and take my son back in.I understand that sometimes companies have issues with technology so figured I would give them another chance.I finally had a break in my schedule and asked my husband to schedule an appointment at Ossip Olio for after school or over spring break. Again, I received a confirmation email from Ossip Olio confirming my appointment for April 7 at 4 PM. I left work early and had to arrange to have my son at home by a certain time so that I could take him to his rescheduled appointment. We arrived at 3:55 PM. The women at the front desk told me that they had no record of my son in their system and that I must have scheduled at the wrong optometrist. I told them that I knew it had been scheduled for this location because the other location they were referring to does not take my insurance. She told me that clearly my husband didnt schedule the appointment or I had the date wrong because they dont even do 4 PM appointments on Fridays. I explained that this was the 2nd time Ive had an issue with their scheduling and that they should look at getting a new system or putting a notice on the website to not schedule using the online scheduling tool.I walked out to my car and remembered that I had received a confirmation email for both appointments. I walked back in and showed her the confirmation emails. First, she told me that their online scheduling tool doesnt work. And then, she had the nerve to question whether the email was valid or real since they dont have a record of the appointment in their system. The doctor may be awesome - I dont know as Ive never gotten far enough in the appointment to see her - but her staff sucks - rude, condescending, and incompetent.

Just as the others had commented, I experienced the worst customer service. They are also VERY expensive. Even though I have premium vision insurance, I still walked away with a $600 out of pocket bill. I have three kids just to put that into perspective but this is not our first rodeo with an optometry office however, it was the first time it cost me so much money. I will never go back!

Ordered and paid for contacts and they ordered the wrong prescription... which caused me to go back to get new ones. When new one arrived they miss labeled my eyes on the box. Very frustrated. Not returning.

To describe my experience with this store as simply as possible? Awful. The staff was disorganized, rude, and incompetent.I registered for my appointment at the Olio location through the Ossip website. When I arrived and gave my name, the receptionist had no record of my registration despite my having an email confirming the date, time, and location of the appointment. After 5 minutes of searching, the Optometrist Assistant finally came to the front desk and casually mentioned that the way that online appointments are handled by the central office doesnt always result in an appointment being made with the branch in question. No apology, no indication that she cared that they would not be able to honor the appointment time. I was told I could wait 30 minutes or come back the next day.In light of my urgent need for contact lenses, I decided to wait. During the check-in process, the Optometrists Assistant was very rude and clearly had somewhere else to be. Interrupting me multiple times and condescending when answering my questions. The final straw came when she asked if I wore existing contacts and I stated that I did currently use extended wear lenses which I liked. She then said that the doctor would want me to try dailies instead. I responded that I had tried dailies in the past and that they were not comfortable for me. She insisted that I try them and that the doctor would say the same. I then said I would discuss that with the doctor, ending the conversation. The optometrist at this location (Hannah Woodke) was very nice and did an excellent job with my contact lens exam, but the other staff was incompetent, unreasonable, and downright rude. I would not refer anyone looking for glasses or contacts to this store.

I was in last week to get my glasses adjusted and was very happy with the service and kindness I received from the office staff. The ladies were all smiling and friendly and knowledgeable. However, the only reason the office doesnt get 5 stars is due to the fact there was one woman in there blabbing on her cell phone. She clearly worked there because she was behind the desk and in the back office. But she was very loud and obnoxious. I also noticed her tone towards the other employees there was rude but that is none of my business. You could tell the other employees were uncomfortable by her actions. Great office and staff, and will return to this office in the future, despite having to hear that ladies personal call all throughout the office.

Disappointing customer service. I called To inquire about purchasing a specific pair of expensive rx sunglasses and was told I would receive a call back, but never did. I went there in person, chose my sunglasses and a pair of glasses which they agreed to price out and call me. But they never did. I followed up twice by phone and never talked to anyone who could help me. I give up. This is too much work to spend my money.

I went to the branch at Olio Road. The first issue I had with them was that they wanted to do a test that they told me was not covered by any insurance, based on them, and asked me to pay for it on the exam day. When I asked if this test was necessary, I was told no, but our doctors like to it because it makes their job easier.2nd issue is that they can not make me a reading glass, even after I have returned it the 2nd time. They asked me to wear the “wrong” glasses for a week or two so my eyes get adjusted to the wrong glasses. It has been over couple months since my exam and I still do not have my “reading” glasses. I would not return to them and would not recommend them to anyone.
