The pavilion for women and children is superior and focused on one mission. The campus is spread over many acres with lots of parking options. The Emergency Room has been moved to the other Providence hospital, so it is quieter. I bet the rooms have great views of Everetts harbor. (P.S.They just helped me become an uncle again!)

I have had 3 surgeries. The doctors and nurses were great! Most would go out of their way to help. I cannot thank them enough.

Firstly, EVERYTIME we called they were on a break, never free to talk. Secondly, my family found out through my grandmother’s nursing home (she has Dementia) that she had a BRAIN TUMOR. we found out for the first time through the nursing home my grandmother had a brain tumor, and the hospital my grandmother has been staying at for months never mentioned it to us.

Went by ambulance to ER having COPD exacerbation crisis. Stayed 3 and a half days on the 10th floor. Without exception my experience was ; very knowledgeable and competent staff. And very courteous at all times! The food? Well, come on; its a hospital. But... the food was still pretty good, especially for hospital fare. Seriously... not bad, just bland because its a hospital. I had to have contact with at least a half dozen departments personnel, and all in all, I have to rate the overall experience a solid four stars plus some close to five. Good job to all ! Thanks to all.

My wife and daughter brought our grandson to the Colby campus for a minor head laceration. They could see the injury would need a few stitches. They arrived at 8:30 pm and left at 1:40 AM. Ridiculous that the hospital had very little staff for a Memorial weekend. I have been a big supporter of Providence in the past, however, we will head to Children’s.

Great medical center with specialists, general practitioners and emergency facilities. Emergency service is typically fast with minimal wait times and triage system. Nurses and doctors are caring and friendly. All around great medical services!

Family member went in with extreme pain and fever. Waited 2 and a half hours just to see triage nurse then another 3 hrs spent in room awaiting blood work. Uncomfortable waiting area. No staff checked on my son in wait area. Theres got to be a better way to serve people sick and in pain. The wait times are absurd! Must say RNs were knowledgeable and caring, once we got in exam room. Dr was ok just always in a rush to go to next person it seems.

Everything is out of control...especially timing and informing. Very tight space for patients preparation. Overcrowded waiting area for family members. Not providing an accurate information. Using volunteers as messengers.

I cant put zero stars? What a shame. What little staff they have at this building are pathetic. They also are NOT single mother/parent friendly. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE.For those seeking reviews on OB care, the Pavillion next door is no better. Save yourself the money and go somewhere else.

Worst ED ever. Waited for 4 hours. My wife was sent there from the Everett Clinic Mill Creek due to a second syncopal episode in two months. They had her wait... and wait... and wait despite the physician at the clinic being concerned there might be a brain bleed or clot. When they finally got to us they ha her do an EKG even though one had been done 3 hours prior and I had the results in my hands. What a WASTE! After the fourth hour my wife was not feeling well from not eating all day and we decided if they didnt think it was an emergency maybe she wont die of a massive hemorrhage despite all of her symptoms during the day. I will never go to this hospital again. I dont recommend it to anyone.

My night from hell!We arrived at Providence ER at 8:15 by car. The excruciating pain in my back caused by a kidney stone had started 45 minutes earlier. By the time I was called back to triage, my blood pressure was up to 203/88. The triage nurse had to take it twice with different cuffs because she didnt believe it. I informed her I had a history of high blood pressure and heart arrhythmias. And with all that, we sat in the ER waiting room for 4 hours, with no pain medication. Those of you whove had a kidney stone, and have experienced the acute phase where the stone blocks the ureter causing the kidney to swell up like a balloon, know what Im talking about. The worst pain imaginable. But the ER was full, all 70 beds, or so they say. So we sat for four long, horrific hours with no relief from the unimaginable, unrelenting pain, constant vomiting and palpitations. Finally, my boyfriend went to complain vehemently to the staff and was told, we know kidney stones are painful, but theyre not life-threatening. We dont know when we can get her back. Not once in that four hours did anyone come and check on me to see how I was doing, or if there was anything they could do to help, or at least give us some kind of update as to how much longer it might be, so we could make an informed decision as to whether to stay or go elsewhere. No, the nurses and staff at the station were on their cellphones and chatting it up with one another, while the 50+ people in the waiting room were suffering in various degrees. Is this what our healthcare system has come to? Ive seen better, more compassionate triage in third world countries! So we left and went to another ER 30 minutes away. I was taken to a room almost immediately. One thing I know for sure, I will NEVER return to Providence Everett again for any reason, and I will be contacting an attorney to see if there is any recourse for their negligent, thoughtless and sloppy hospital and ER administration. WORST HOSPITAL EVER!!!

Our daughter was born at Providence 5 weeks early. Though everything was quite stressful at the time and didnt go perfectly, the end result was positive: She was as healthy as can be, I was able to deliver naturally with a midwife, while in the NICU W had her very own room (soooo nice!) and we were able to be as active in her care as possible. Now that shes home and we are dealing with the bills... they are still going above and beyond! I called about paying a bill and maybe getting a discount, and they said that we had gone past the time limit for discounts because it was the second bill sent. But for some reason we didnt get the first one. Well, they honored the discount anyways, even though they didnt have to. The gal I talked to over the phone was so sweet and went out of her way to get us that discount (which really adds up when they are such large bills!)I hope that our next child isnt as early as W, but if s/he is, were heading to Providence!

I went in last night because my 2 year old daughter cut her toe really bad. We waited 3 hours. I finally got sick of waiting and asked how long would we have to wait the nurse said she doesnt know how long it would take. All they needed to do was put some glue on her wound and we would be done. But since it wasnt life threatening they didnt care. So i left. It ridiculous that they make people wait for so long. Wosrt emergency room ever. If i could put zero stars i would.

Mental health emergencies are treated horribly. I took my sister in for help and they treated us like criminals. They tricked us into a lock down room even though she was not dangerous or disruptive. No evaluation was done 7 hours later. There was no one at the hospital to do a psch. consult, they called in county services. I was then told we could be locked up for several days as the county was too backed up. No food or water for 9 hours. I finally called my husband and he called the hospital and demanded we be give water and food. When we finally were told there was a bed at FairFax they refused to let me go with her or drive her. Several days later I talked to a head nurse wanting to lodge a complaint. She took my name and phone number and said she would call me. She never did.

Brought my oldest son (18) in for a possible overdose and clearly out of it. He could barely walk or breath.his lips blue. His heart was racing.I tell the frunt desk this.he could not talk as hes right in frunt of them. I said ill answer all what you need but can we get him in back now because I fear waiting any longer he will hit the floor. Yeah well the rood lady said thats no possible! With an attitude. she took no consideration I am a concerted parent but clearing by the look of my son was NOT ovreacting! She made him sit down and wait! also if she was not so involved with her convesation with the other hospital staff witch happen to be a male She could do her job properly! Unbelievably F up hospital!
