I saw him for severe acne. I tried many creams, and a couple oral antibiotics without much improvement. I became very concerned when my face started to scar. It affected my self-esteem. He discussed the options, and recommended a treatment that cured my face after 5 months. Mo more acne, and the scars have become less noticeable once the redness improved.

Although I really liked Dr Tawfik and his staff I am upset at the fact when I wanted to change doctors due to distance they suddenly became very upset. With one call he informed me he would no longer see me (fine) and then my records were not ever forwarded. I inquired and so did my new doctor. No response. I paid (dearly I might add) for his services in a very timely manner and those records I feel should be mine and forwarded as needed. Now I had to redo my bi-poesy due to them being unprofessional in my opinion.

They charge $30 for school athletic skin forms, which I had never had to pay before. Since, my son is a wrestler I probably wont be returning. The doctor and staff were helpful and doc was knowledgeable.

Horrible staff as in I was apparently an hour late (theyre an hour behind us and some how miscommunication happened) but the entire staff informed me and was very very rude about it. They had cancelled my appointment without a call or notification and proceeded to degrade myself and children in front of other patients when arrived. The staff was SO unfriendly without a smile or a kind attitude towards us the entire time. Suckers were given to my twins while waiting, the same staff that gave them suckers told them they were not allowed to have them in the patient back room while they waited for the doctor?? My Kindergarten aged twins were very very confused. And I was frustrated. I will be going else where and I do NOT recommend the entire office, doctor included to anyone. Late, miscommunication or not, everyone should be treated with some sort of respect as a person.

I saw Dr. Tawfik few weeks ago for a mole check. I became very concerned about my skin after a friend of mine was diagnosed with melanoma. I did abuse the sun in the past and did the tanning beds for a couple of years. He was very pleasant and extremely thourough with the examination. He found a mole on my back, which I had no idea about, and removed it. I was very fortunate as it came back severely atypical and on the verge of melanoma. I am so thankful that I saw him. My family doctor has looked at my back before and never mentioned anything wrong there!!My husband will be seeing him too in the near future and I recommended him to a couple of my friends too. I might also add that he, and no uncertain terms, asked me to stop all types of tanning. He doesn’t beat around the bush and I like that. Thank you Dr. Tawfik for your great care.

I had the most terrible experience with Dr. Tawfiks office today. Yes I have had to reschedule my follow up appointment twice because I am very busy with college, but I do not think that means its okay for Dr. Tawfik and his assistant to treat me with extreme disrespect. First example: As I was waiting for the doctor to come in for my exam I could hear him and his assistant talking bad about me in the hallway. Second example: Dr. Tawfik scolded me for having to reschedule appointments and never once let me explain to him why I had too. Third and most important example: Dr. Tawfik and his assistant were very short with me and DID NOT EXPLAIN ANYTHING TO ME. He prescribed me a topical today and told me nothing about it (uses, name, side effects, etc.). He rudely greeted me, spent about 3 minutes talking (scolding) to me then was out! I had to ask his assistant about the topical he prescribed me and she rudely said just apply it where needed then slammed the door in my face. Overall, I highly recommend anyone who wants a Dermatologist who truly cares about you and your health, AVOID Dr. Tawfik.

Took a 2 second glance at my face and prescribed products at random. Left me with irreversible damage and I’m out thousands of dollars. My skin gets worse by the day even after stopping all medication. The staff was also unbelievably rude. Never let this man anywhere near your skin or you will regret it until the day you die.
