This a good place for people in need.I wish that they put out more, updated & reliable information, on their programs. Especially for those who are disabled, mobility impaired, or elderly. There have been many times Ive personally needed services they provide with no way to get there and back from where I live. Also even if I could get there and back, like me, most people that come to this place & places like these have no resources to get some of the things they need home.Having information and volunteers that would be able to assist disabled people, and elderly people that could help them with a few items and processes to make sure they can get the food as well as the things they need,...be it food to furnature items. Also along with updated paperwork on Heath Aides as well as hours & days that specific events take place would greatly help the community of Disabled and elderly. Also the additional kid of other places for furnature, houseware even appliances, or clothes. All things they may or may not have at this location. A daily or weekly publication that can be updated online would help a lot. Id that were done and there were other places would follow suit it might help with making a real change, avoid congestion that would make the work area more efficient for employees as well as volunteers freeing up a lot of time that could be used to set up and save money to be out into more avenues as well as help more people who actually need it. Staff sometimes knows other locations across the twin tiers that may have, or do have these items for people who dont have the means to drive or travel often and would still bring in business that would corrugate with the services rendered on the right days rather than having someone go through the process & find they came the wrong day.Thank you on behalf of the community for all that you do and for your consideration. Keep up the great work!

Very helpful people to those in need. Clothing selection better for women then men, footwear almost nonexistent. If u need food they always have a good selection, and unlike most donations it isnt bruised, rotten or spoiled. IF U NEED HELP AND LIVE IN CHEMUNG COUNTY GO SEE THEM.

Very welcoming from the moment you walk in. Staff seem to really care. The oantry was a little sparce today which was disappointing but I am not sure what attributes to that. I wasnthere for my monthly which I get a few times a year when needed and it would of been nice to know ahead of time that maybe I should have come back another day and waited till there were more options for me so I feel like I wasted my one monthly visit. The clothing closet was not open today but I have been there before when it was open and it is a very nice clothing closet. Things are neatlymhung according to size, male or female, kids or adult, and they also have a little housewares section too.

It took over a week to get a call returned, after leaving multiple messages on variety of voicemails that I was directed to by incredibly rude and out most disrespectful and condescending employees. Finally got a call back. I was refused help with one time rent payment assistance, due to the fact I could not provide employment information for the last 30 days (i lost employment 60 days ago) nor I was able to prove the employment after that (still in a process of interviews, sitting with a 3 day notice to vacate premises of my current appartment). What is the point then? I actually applied for a job with Catholic Charities for Homeless Shelter Worker, never heard back. Yet, when I needed help before I ended up on the street with my son whilst looking for employment I was flat out denied any form of help, not even brainstorming of what I could do in my situation...

Im not going to get into the details of my experience here. Suffice it to say it was an exercise in frustration. I wasted my time filling out several long questionnaires only to be turned away because I couldnt guarantee future employment in writing.
