Has anyone ACTUALLY received quality help here? I have NEVER heard anyone tell me any good stories about their experience with this place. They definitely don’t take teenagers seriously, and WILL refuse you service if you are unable to get to your appointment. If you need mental health help, do not come here.

Just not my new therapist, today. A perfect fit, just like my last one. Hopefully she doesnt leave, quickly. A great fit!!

I was very impressed with the staff here at Family Services. The counselor I spoke to... had knowledge on a lot of different resources that will help me get on my feet since I recently moved here. The waiting area is very neat and clean. It is also very large and it is not difficult to keep your distance from other others. Thank you to all the staff for being so kind & helpful!

I missed a meeting due to my depression, got a letter with a new date telling me that if I missed that date they would discontinue my services, fair enough; then I receive another letter before the new date telling me that they were discontinuing my services. When I told them I didnt want to go onto pills, and would like to do behavioral therapy it seemed like they didnt know what to do with me. They offered me a bunch of help and followed through on absolutely none of it. All in all, because of this experience my depression got worse.

Very professional staff is always nice

Its very good for people here (especially for lgbt youth as they seem very proud of doing).Most of the staff are very friendly and open-minded, which makes this place better than the majority of counseling offices around. While they arent the best at helping with things like lgbt issues, I would say they are the best in the area for that anyway.

I am speaking on behalf of my son. The only complaint he and I have is the hobbibly high turnover. It takes time to develop a counselor/client relationship and every time he does, he has to change to someone else because of the poor retention rate.

Very nice people. Get to know them and speak openly and honestly, unless its illegal, and you will feel a lot better. I dont do anything illegal. Just thought I would put that out there.

They try to get in with whom ever you need to see in a timely manner. The Psychiatrist and therapist are very good and thorough. The billing and other charges are severe and rigid. In order to see the psychiatrist or therapist you have to pay copay when you see them or you cant get the services you need. No pay no see.

Helpful, honest. Sometimes the wait to be seen can be longer than expected. Im new here going on my 4th visit but so far the experience has been very good . Everyone seems very friendly and try to make you feel comfortable. I will add to this review as more time passes. I personally dont have much patience, and I dont tolerate rude or judgemental people. With that said I would recommend this place to others.

They helped me with my depression. They have a ton of good programs. Miranda and Barbara are great counselors there.

They need to get their billing department right or theyll rip you off for hundreds of dollars. Really not right to steal from families .Who only want proper care for their loved ones!

For individuals in Chemung County in need of home assistance, Counseling Services, Transportation Services, Crisis intervention services, Respite programs, and Certified concierge service to help with navigating the various other services you or your family could use but were unaware of contact info for programs outside of this facility within the local community.

Cause it helps get things off ur chest and it makes u feel good till someone gets u back where u at or likes to start things with u

There are alot of people that need someone to do just the littles thing that nobody seem to have time for. Listening help everyone. Just listen and find away to solve any problem.

The staff is great. A little far from city center, but nice waiting room.

Okay mental health facility but they are way overwhelmed with many patients and not many councelers , the councelers try but they cant give the one on one help that psych patients need
