I’ve spent years trying to find a stylist and place for my thick, long, wavy/curly hair and Judith b can manage it like no other place I’ve been to! My color is awesome, exactly what I asked for! My cut is the best I’ve had for my curls and thickness; the attention to detail is greatly appreciated. I also want to add how thankful I was for all the safety measures that are in place, made me feel comfortable and safe. I definitely recommend Judith B!

If I could give the salon more than 5 stars, I would. Judith and her amazing team are going above and beyond their industry standards in sterilization and disinfection. As a dentist, I was surprised to see that the salon is using same medical grade disinfectants for their instruments as are used in the medical setting. The space is well ventilated and HEPA filters are strategically placed in the salon for excellent and clean air quality. I felt absolutely safe at Judith B salon. And the cut..... It was the bomb diggity bomb!!! I loved the fact that she knows how to work with curls! If you havent been to the salon in some time and are due for any service at their salon, do not delay. Definitely going back for my next visit!

Her eye for style is amazing and she is up-to-date with current color and style trends in the industry including the products she uses. She styles hair and customizes highlights just like the celebrity hairdressers! I air-dry my hair and Judith cuts it in a way that looks like I styled it with a blow dryer! I trust her completely with any recommendation because I know Im going to look and feel great!The dry spa services are incredible. The facials are relaxing and customized to your skins needs. Eyebrow grooming at the Self-ish Bar is amazing. Mani/pedis are exceptional. They use Jessica products which are non-toxic and the top coat provides an amazing shine. Ive never had a regular manicure last a full week! The massage service is tailored to your aches & pains and is out of this world!! I ended my afternoom of pampering with a spray tan which was easy, fast and left me looking sun-kissed.All services provided at Judith B Salon are top notch!

I have been going to Judith B every three weeks for quite some time. I followed my longtime stylist Rita after she moved to this salon and I could not be happier. Rita is a gem. She really listens to you and gets to know your hair. She is the least judgemental person I have maybe ever met and I have always been at ease to tell her whatever I need regarding changes in my hair and lifestyle. I have always been absolutely thrilled, every single time Ive left her chair. Judith always prided herself on a bright and clean environment before, but since COVID, her efforts have been nothing but top notch. Temps taken at the door, all coats left in the vestibule, intake questions every time, after purifying systems in every room lots of space created with scheduling, sanitization of stations in between and plexiglass dividers. The level of care taken is beyond any that I have experienced, during this time.

I’m extremely particular on who works on my hair and because of it I don’t go as often as I should- when I came here I wanted to try something new and fun. I have dark hair that had some previous highlights and color and she was able to work with my hair and also change the color to red- Red like Jessica rabbit red and I love it! Just went back again for a re-touch up! The salon has a fun, laid back atmosphere which definitely put me to ease when I decided to try something new!

I love this place! Out of all the salons Ive been to over the years, this one listens! And, they always seem to have new techniques or products that address my hair needs.I have curly/frizzy hair and they now can do cuts following the Ouidad currly hair method, which I never even knew about before! Its amazing and does make a difference.

Diem was absolutely amazing and so kind and funny to talk to. She made it a great experience and was very informative and helpful. She explained the process step by step and did a great job! She is a hair genius.

The shop is really cute, the staff is extremely helpful and immediately offered me something to drink or read. Once I was in the chair my stylist was sensitive to my needs. I have been here multiple times now and some days I have a good day and others...not so much. The staff seems to be able to pick up on it and on the bad days, when I dont feel like talking, they respect that. Doesnt seem like a big deal but it really is. And my stylist, Angie Gonzalez, does an amazing job! I wanted my long hair to grow longer, she works with it so that it isnt just flat on my head, teaching me how to do it at home. She has such a good hand that my hair is now down to my waist. I love it!! You owe it to yourself to at least try this place out once. You wont regret it.

I had my eyebrows waxed here, everyone was wonderful & they have a very relaxing spa-lounge upstairs, with tea or coffee, for before the appointment. Great experience!

The service is amazingly friendly, CLEAN and the employees are attentive to your individual needs. Nic from Judith B salon has brought my hair back to LIFE!!! My hair was in horrible shape before finding this gem on the Ouidad salon locator search. The three previous bad cuts left my once gorgeous ethnic curls looking like some birds built a nest dead smack center of my head..back of my head more like it!! It was so bad I could not wear my hair down for almost a year. I will be honest, I thought about going back to my old stylist who lives near the wicker park area of Chicago who is more familiar with my hair texture due to our similar ethnicity, I was afraid to burden anyone else with my hair (@ times that’s what it feels like when someone doesn’t understand my hair) but the thought of that drive was dreadful. So I made an appointment here at Judith B. I was nervous upon walking in. I was nervous that the stylist Nic would not know what to do with the “Birds Nest” or that the it may forever traumatize her... better yet harm her ;) j/k lol! The owner can tell I was nervous so she reassured me I was in good hands, the receptionist was sweet, and Nic went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable before she began our journey to what had turned into 3 haircuts later and a total hair transformation! One, she passed my three haircut test.. what I mean by that, is some stylist become comfy and somehow tend to screw up my hair after my third visit, leaving me to seek a new stylist. Nic, didn’t do that!! Two, I am sad my hair is in great shape that I don’t have to go as often. However, I’ll take great shape less visits!! Which means less awesome hair washes on a chair that reclines with your legs up.. just like a recliner! Yep ladies & gents! I said it!! RECLINER!! & I don’t get a nice cup of coffee in a cute cup.. real cup.. not styrofoam!! Products aren’t up sold or forced upon which is cool. Thanks Nic! Congrats on Promotion!! you deserve it!! I have known Judith for over 10 years. I go to the salon with my daughters. Their service is exceptional, I have no issues with my daughters when Im there, all the staff, every single person is so friendly and always willing to help with my girls when Im there getting a service. The ambiance of this salon should sell you the moment we walk in the door. Its professional through and through, as I am quite the handful, but always treated well as I walk in the door to begin the ruckus. When its game time to rip the hair off my brows, Im led to the back so I can mourn the pain like a boss, with most of my cries being sheltered from the rest of the clientele, which I appreciate, because I dont care who you are, brows hurt. This salon has my business through and through, and Id be happy to send everyone I know there, which I do. This review is LONG overdue!!! I have worn my hair very short for a very long time but recently have started to grow it out. I forgot what a pain my curly hair can be.......enter Stephanie!!! Stephanie is fantastic. She took the time to understand my current struggles and what my goal is for growing out my hair. She was able to walk me through the Ouidad process and give a ton of options that help manage my CRAZY hair. I think that thanks to her I just might make it through this growing out stage!!!

Judith is simply incredible! Ok, I am a guy. I didnt have extentions or crazy things done to my hair. I went to see her and she took the time to ask me what I really wanted. I never considered it before. So after discussing and showing her some looks using my cell phone, she set to work. Let me just tell you I am 38 and very gray on both sides and the back of my head. The Gray is GONE. The cut is EXACTLY what I wanted. I literally feel like I have lost 10 years. Its amazing. I never thought that a simply cut and color would make this big of a difference to me. Judith B Salon is like going to a hip-salon in the city. I LOVE getting my hair done there...Judith is one of the best stylists Ive been to...she (and everyone there) keeps themselves up on whats in style...so even though you might be living in a Midwestern suburb, your hair wont look like it.

This is the best salon in Elmhurst, dare I say the entire Chicago region. Ive been following Judith since she was in the city. No one knows how to give highlights like she does. I had the hardest time finding someone that knew how to highlight my ash blonde hair. I highly suggest this salon. I drive all the way from Lincoln Park 6 times a year to see Judith, it is THAT worth it.

I cant say enough about Judith B. I love everything about this place! The atmosphere. The level of creativity and commitment to excellence. And of course, the stylists. Both of my sons get their hair cut and occasionally colored by Nic. She is AMAZING with kids, and in particular boys. They dont miss Sport Clips and they get a really amazing hair cut. I havent had a haircut in a long time and did some research before getting one. Ive decided to go to Judith B salon because they offer classes, so they must be really great at what they they do. I set up an appointment with Nic and I dont think Ill let anyone else but her handle my hair. She is really cool and fun to be around. She gave me the best haircut Ive ever had that I had to change my review on the last salon I went to lol (just the best haircut part, they still got 5 stars from me.) Im super happy and feel more confident about myself. I wish I got some before and after pictures to show how much better my hair is now. For people going through reviews to see if this is the salon they want to go to, just do it. Set that appointment. I highly recommend Nic if you have wavy asian hair like me since, well, she did a awesome job on mine lol but Im sure everyone else there is just as good.TLDR: Do it. Set the appointment. No regrets. AWESOME PLACE TO GET YOUR HAIR DONE!!!!!! Very clean and never mistreated. LOVE THE ONLINE BOOKING so easy to use and when you have no time to talk you could do online booking. The space OMG WONDERFUL you dont feel so tight and close to everything. AND OMG the location is AWESOME very close to the Elmhurst little outlet and could get ur hair looking AWESOME and still have everything near by. I left my old joint and made this my new barbershop! because people would say very fine hair you have and all that other good stuff because they but us 1st so we look good.
