I absolutely love this salon. Its beautiful and clean on the inside. The ambiance of the salon is also great. I love Kim Cs work. Shes very attentive to detail and she really cares about the health of your hair and the quality of the services she provides. She has done my hair several times!! Every time she does my hair it always come out pretty. As a client, I can always trust that my hair is in great hands! I will continue to support this woman owned business! I went to this ONLY because of their one lash tech, Rae. Other than Rae being kind, professional, & doing my lashes to perfection… there’s no other reason to go. The staff, especially the owner Smiley, is extremely rude. She does not greet customers & acts as if she is better than everyone I guess because she owns the salon?Today, Rae was fired because she was not being paid properly. When asking the owner, Smiley, to be paid she was instead fired. Absolutely ridiculous. This is no way to treat a loyal & hardworking employee.DO NOT SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS THEY DO NOT TREAT THEIR EMPLOYEES OR CUSTOMERS WITH BASIC RESPECT. TRULY DISGUSTED. This salon always exceeds my expectations they are all so professional and they make you feel at home! I never leave the salon disappointed these women are hard working and you know they take their business serious because of how they treat there clients! I have been going to Smileys galm studio for about 5 months now, I have only been seen my the nail tech Jacqueline ever since then, unfortunately she is no longer doing nails at the moment due to health reasonings. I was rescheduled with the owner Smiley for the same service that I have been doing for 5 months straight. I did have to wait a few minutes for her to finish with her other client but that is no problem with me. When I sat down in her chair she was very occupied with her phone, after she finished her text messages she asked what I wanted. The design was fairly easy. While she was doing my nails I asked for my nails to be shortened quite a bit and I felt like she wasnt listen, fast forward to doing my design it was done as I wanted it to be done. When I left and finally checked my nails I noticed so many mistakes 1) All my nails were crooked and slanted 2) There are lint from her shirt all in my nails under the top coat 3) there are air bubbles in the refill. At that point I just wanted my nails off so I called back I asked if I can 1) either get a refund or 2) get her to remove my nails because it was not to my satisfaction. I was told that I would get a call back regarding what I asked and I still not have heard anything. I had to rush to my old nail salon to for them to fix the awful shape which was all they can do.

This is the best salon in NJ! A one stop shop for all of your glamorous needs. I’ve been going to Smiley to get my nails done for over 10 years there is no one better then Smiley ! From a simple color to the most complex art Smiley does it all ! I go to Kim for my lace closure sew ins and every time I leave her chair I feel like Beyonce ! Kim pays attention to every single detail and makes sure your hair is laid! Both women are extremely encouraging to their staff and they l make every client feel like family . If you don’t book an appointment here you are missing out !

Really nice salon for Natural Hair. The Service I received from Alexia was A1. She also gave great advice on how to manage my hair. I only gave it 4 stars because it was quite pricey. Then again this was my first time in a Salon in 3 yrs so things mustve changed. I got a Silk press with treatment and a much needed trim. I was happy with the results. I will certainly be back when I feel like splurging on myself again.

I booked a nail appointment with this nail salon for the first time and it was not a great experience. I booked an appointment with the owner Smiley and the day of the appointment I didnt get there until 15 minutes (exact) after my appointments because the address thats on their website and on Google took me to a whole different location with a empty lot. I called to let them know what was going on and to confirm the correct address and how to get there, 2nd time I called I was telling her I still couldnt locate the place and came to find out the girl who picked up the phone gave me the wrong direction and I had turn around and go the opposite way from where she originally told me to go, 3rd time I called to let them know I was in the parking lot and I was on my way in. She then told me Smiley couldnt see me anymore because I was 15 minute late and I was going to be charged FULL PRICE BECAUSE I WAS A NO SHOW(when I was outside). I understand people have a business to run but I called not one but multiple times to let her know the situation, she could if told me then lets just reschedule for some other time or a one time courtesy because of the misunderstanding... It Really left a bad taste and I will never do business with them or recommend to anyone!

Like another client stated a few months back, “please listen and beware of the negative reviews!”. One of the current managers at the salon, Smiley, is EXTREMELY unprofessional and I will not ever be returning to this salon. Hearing how she treats her poor employees/past employees is absolutely cruel. Not to mention she only does a good job on clients nails that she chooses to! Her work is very lazy and so are her managing skills.

I booked a nail appointment at 5:45pm with Jacqueline for a nail fix originally but I was called that Jacqueline was having child care issues and wouldnt be able to take care of my nail unless I came at an earlier time. I explained unfortunately I wasnt able to come earlier but that I was open to have my nail fixed by any other nail tech. So I was booked with Rosa for 5:45pm. I later received a call that my appointment would be moved to 6 - 6:15pm because Rosa had a pedicure and it would give me more time to arrive since I was coming from Newark, NJ. So I agreed to that appointment time. I recieve a text telling me that my appt is at 6:15pm . I arrive at 5:55pm and was greeted by the receptionist who was nice and attentive. She took me to the back of the salon to a table to soak off the rest of my broken nail.I spotted Rosa who was doing a pedicure for a lady who appeared to know Rosa well, because they were talking about going somewhere together in spanish ( yea I speak and understand Spanish)Rosa finished the pedicure and started to clean up her pedicure tools in the sink. At this point it was 6:30pm so I waited a bit and Rosa started to clean around the back where the towels are. I got up and left.I was looking forward to this appt as I am a new customer and this nail salon is literally 10 mins from my house , I was looking for a new nail salon to call home but nope not after this horrible customer service. My appointment got rescheduled 3 times and then Im kept waiting while my nail tech cleans up the back of the salon...Ive been more than patient and understanding....nope not coming back here.

So to start off I see Tim for my nails. He is absolutely amazing. Worth every penny. A joy to be around and makes the time I am there enjoyable and full of conversation. I highly recommend him in every way.Nikki for teeth whitening is also and absolute doll. She is super personable and makes you feel very relaxed. I haven’t gone to her for lashes but I’ve seen pictures and she does an amazing job.the only complaint i really have is that I hate the chairs that the nail techs have for customers. They are they most uncomfortable, unrealistic chairs I’ve ever set in and with my bad back sitting in the chair for hours is completely uncomfortable. Please get more comfortable chairs for clients.

Everyone is always so welcoming and warm. When scheduling appoints most times I call I speak to Kelsey and she always makes it appoint to be extremely kind and respectful to the client.. If there are open spots she asks if you could come at a earlier time which is always a plus. I get my hair done by Kim and there simply are no words to express how wonderful she is. She is extremely warm and inviting. Once you sit down in her chair she provides hair care tips for when you are at home. I’ve have full sew-ins, pony tails, and partials sew ins and she never disappoints. She’s extremely hard working and when you walk out of the chair your beauty has been enhanced by her amazing skill set. I moved to NYC and travel back because she is amazing at what she does and there is no one else I’d go to ❤️

Everything about my experience at this salon was amazing. From the beautiful ambiance of the salon to the exceptional customer service. Kim is so warm and welcoming. She’s also a perfectionist she always makes sure she does her best with any and every hairstyle and in a timely manner. I know many friends and family that get serviced at the nail bar and they always do an amazing job! I would definitely recommend this salon for all services.

Absolutely love the atmosphere here every time I come in! I see Tim for my nails, and I’ve honestly never had someone more experienced and talented tend to my nails. I’m a hairstylist, so my hands are constantly in and out of water and color, and Tim makes sure that my nails hold up through it all. He’s also the only person to ever provide me with a stain proof top coat, it saves me in the moments when I do color and forget to put gloves on! 10/10 would recommend ☺️

Let me start off by saying I really wanted to love this place! It was my first time here and I came based on three friends recommendations. They all love it here. Unfortunately my experience was not that great. I booked my appointment with the owner because everyone I know that goes there is obsessed with her. So upon arriving I immediately felt uncomfortable. I greeted her super excited and received a dry good morning. Throughout the service I felt like a bother and did feel some sort of attitude. I had never met her before and for it being the owner I did not expect this to be my first experience. For the nails themselves it kinda just seemed like she just wanted to slap on whatever on my nails and send me on my way. The shape is okay, some fingers are different than others. But thankfully the nail is smooth. It regards to design, I came with a Halloween design since it is promoted on their Instagram that they do complex nail art. One of the designs came out so bad I had to ask her to remove it where I also felt an attitude and like I was bothering her. The designs that are remaining are bad but I didn’t want to ask her to take it off. I have a Halloween party coming up so I really wanted my nails to look bomb. Now I’m contemplating soaking them off and wasting my 60 dollars that I spent there. Super disappointed and even called my friends who go there asking if this is normal and they all said no so now I am thinking maybe I did something wrong or if my money just isn’t good enough for her. Also the client right after me was greeted way better and they chatted the whole way through and made her nails look amazing.Oh also she worked out of her kit? The desk and her tools were dirty and I didn’t see her sanitize for the next clientTo be positive though, Rosa who did my pedicure WAS BOMB. I raved about her all day and would definitely come back just for her.

Let me start off by saying I’ve been going to La Vogue House of Beauty for almost 5 years, and I really did not want to switch since i’ve always had a positive experience there but unfortunately I moved and wanted to try somewhere closer, so I found Smileys.My first impression was good, it was clean and organized and they had appointments available on short notice, so it worked bc i have a very busy and sporadic schedule. I called and asked how much a regular acrylic fill would be and they told me 30. I just moved into my own apartment and saving money was a big thing for me, but I’m a Mac Artist so i need my nails looking good.My first appointment was with Ana Puerto. I understand there may have been a language barrier, but I wouldn’t really know because she barely said more than a few words to me other than gripping my hand aggressively and telling me to relax at least 4 times which i’ve never experienced and i’ve been getting acrylics done for 7 years straight. She looked annoyed the entire time she was doing my nails, and seemed to be rushing me out as fast as possible. Not only was her demeanor towards me extremely rude, but i ended up paying $42 (without tip plus tax) after they told me it would be $30. They explained that $5 was for a covid charge, which in my opinion is a lot to up charge a customer for in a trying time where we are all low on money. They had no explanation of the other $5 and neither did Ana and ultimately blamed it on “reshaping” even though my nails were not reshaped. If my experience with her was not so negative, maybe I wouldn’t have minded the mysterious $5 extra charge.Even after this I sent my mother to Smileys to get her opinion since my nails did come out somewhat what good. She unfortunately had the same rude experience and $5 overcharge with no explanation.I wanted to give them one more chance, so I went to Rosa Jacques my second time. I had to specify I wanted just a $30 refill. I asked her to just use a sparkly polish on my ring finger, which she tried charging me extra for, before Smiley came and told her it was not extra. While Rosa was a lot nicer, my nails were bumpy and not filed correctly, with a weak apex which ultimately made one of my nails break within a week, which I then decided I would never go back.Overall, I do not recommend this place if you’re looking for good nails on a budget, there’s other places in central jersey with better service that will provide nicely done nails.

I truly found this place to be wonderful. I scheduled my appointment online and I wasnt sure what to expect but was really blown away. When you walk in it is so clean, spacious, and so well put together overall. I had my makeup done by Kelssy and not only was it an amazing conversation but she made me look and feel absolutely beautiful. Kim who is one of the owners did my hair and same thing so nice, genuine, and knowledgeable so did my hair and I was so happy. I had a wonderful night thanks to them and recommend them to others. Seeing everyone work together and how the interacted with each other had nothing but positive vibes. This is a place you should definitely go to.

I had my hair done by Andrea, I was extremely nervous, I have never put extreme heat on my hair. I am Ghanaian and I have thick 4c hair and have extreme shrinkage. I don’t like people touching my hair and I’m extremely picky and I don’t want anyone who will just rip out my hair and not take their time. Andrea was amazing she was patient and listened to me and treat my hair with so much tenderness. I got a blowout with a silkpress and trim, it came out looking amazing! I am sooo happy with it. I also brought my tangle teezer brush for her to use because if you have thick curly 4b-4c hair you know that the truth and that makes detangling easy for the stylist. I highly recommend her. The atmosphere is ok...very quiet but great music, everyone was in their zone. I will forsure comeback in the future for another trim.

Scheduled an appointment wasn’t seen until 20 minutes after, no respect for customers time. My nail broke after a week, contacted the salon not accommodating at all. My nail should not be breaking after just ONE WEEK from the appointment. I will take my money and referrals to a salon that appreciates their customers.

If you go anywhere else to get your hair/nails done, you are doing it wrong!! THEY ARE THE BEST!! Everyone does an amazing job. I just got my sew in washed, blow dried and curled and I feel like a new woman! CeeCee was so nice and friendly & even fixed a couple threads in my tracks. Seriously BOOK YOUR APPOINTMENT NOW.

Kim is the best, we worked out a hair care plan. The salon is clean, their following Covid health care procedures, what else can you ask for.

Honestly, I was so excited to experience a new hair/nail salon in the community. The beauty bar is absolutely fabulous, the design and decor screams glam. I went to get my nails done and I believe I was paired with “ana” and I did not like her attitude. Her professionalism was garbage, and towards the end she was rude. She had multiple women translating for her and then seemed bothered when I wanted to change the color/or add design. I received acrylic with a polish change on the feet and it came out so pretty. BUT the attitude that I received while getting them done was foul and I don’t think it was right.Maybe I’ll give them another try but I left with a bad taste in my mouth and pretty nails. Sooo idk

This was the worst nail experience ever. I had an appointment at 10:30 am I called to tell them I would be arriving 10 mins late due to car trouble and I got there even earlier than I thought I would at 10:35. Then, they didn’t sit me down till 11:30am . Then the nail tech I booked (smiley) was not even the one who did my nails. My nail tech was rude about shaping and sat someone else down in the middle of doing my nails and did hers. Just a rude and let down experience in general for a place that looks so nice . I am also fluent in Spanish and the comments they were making about me was rude.very bad experience.

My nail tech was Ana, she was very unprofessional with me from the moment I sat down. Barely said a word to me but was speaking spanish to one of her co workersand one of her friends....the whole time, she gave me an attitude as well when it came to telling her what I wanted....down to the shape of the nails..I asked her what she thought about some ideas and she rudely said idk and that’s it!!?!! NOT what I expected at all from reading from the reviews. Kim and Smiley seemed like nice people, and it was a very nice and clean looking place so I will DEF try a different nail tech next time.
