I ignored all of the negative reviews on google, and went here anyway. I was originally seen by a Physicians Assistant (who seemed generally helpful) and told that I needed an upper GI scope and dilation. What I was not told was that the 15 minute procedure would cost more than a two night stay at a hospital for my wife to give birth to a child. I received bills from five different entities for a simple procedure with a cost totaling thousands of dollars. I was also told that it would relieve my symptoms for a considerable amount of time, at minimum a couple years. The symptoms were back within two weeks. The billing seems intentionally confusing with costs from different entities with the same billing description (looks like Im being double billed for the same thing). After calling and speaking with them, they just repeat the same thing as an answer to the question of why Im being billed twice, which does not answer the question at all. After the first visit, I was genuinely happy, but looking back, they seemed quick to get me into an expensive procedure that did me no good at all.

I had an appointment to see the PA. I recently moved here from Texas and my gps led me to an apartment complex over a mile up the road. I had already driven 40 minutes from Saratoga Springs to get to Draper and was in bad physical shape. After driving in circles and not finding the office, I called to let them know I was lost and needed some directions. The receptionist said I had a window of 15 minutes that I could be late. I told her the intersection where I was and asked if she could give me any information to help me get to the office. She was not helpful at all except to say that it was close to a Sinclair. She then said, “so will you be here by 3:15?” I said, “Well that’s why I’m calling you. I don’t have accurate information and need help, but I’m trying to get there.” She still gave me no help except saying they are on the East side of I-15 (not near the freeway) and by a Sinclair. So I continued driving and finally found the Sinclair so I start looking all over at all the buildings to see an address or a sign. I started seeing addresses but didn’t know the side of the road so I called the office again and this time she says “Behind jiffy lube”. I ask her to hold on the line because I’m not seeing it and finally she offers the crucial info “it’s in the family first building”. I find it. Although there is not a single sign anywhere on the building that indicates Utah gastro, I park and enter the building. Again it is uncomfortable and confusing because there is a tiny entryway and finally I see a small sign on the wall that Utah Gastro is in the building. There’s ones waiting room with several windows. One woman was waiting on somebody at a window. One lady was on the phone and was waving for me to go back out of the office. Apparently I needed my temp taken before I could come in. So I go back and stand in the small entry and wait several minutes for her to get off the phone and come take my temp. Then I’m finally told I can go to the last window for Utah gastro to check in. I get up to the window and by this time the clock says 3:19. I am very flustered and exhausted, feeling very sick and emotional. But at least I had all the paperwork filled out. But no. I was 4 minutes late so she refused to check me in. I was like, “you’re joking, right? I called you twice while I was right here just trying to get a little help with directions.” There was not a single person waiting in the Utah gastro area. But nope. That’s the policy. 4 minutes late. Doesn’t matter any extenuating circumstances. You can miss a whole afternoon of work, drive for an hour and a half, call them several times so they know you’re trying your best to get there, but 4 minutes late is 4 minutes late. I felt so disrespected. She says, “would you like to reschedule?” No. Never. Tell Ally she lost a loyal lifelong patient because there’s no way I’m going back.

I did not have a good experience with Dr. Krishnamurthy even after several visits and procedure at her Draper Office. She pushed a certain expensive biological medication which I was not comfortable. Second and third opinions from other doctors confirmed that I did not need the extremely expensive medication she prescribed. Furthermore, an alternate prescription did not go through to the pharmacy for two weeks and the staff wasnt of much help. I was in pain and without medication for almost three weeks. I would not recommend her to my family and friends even after getting treatment from her several times. To be sick, in pain and to deal with Dr. Krishnamurthy and her staff can be extremely frustrating.

In a nutshell, this practice is negligent and I ended up in the ER because of it. Read on to see why...In Dec. 2018 I had a CT Scan which was reviewed by this practice. They told me that all was normal. Today I went to the ER and they found several large kidney stones during a CT Scan. I asked them to pull the images from the CT scan preformed in December and low and behold it showed kidney stones. If this practice had told me about the kidney stones in December I could have avoided a lot of pain and wasted money on an expensive ER visit. Do yourself a favor and go to a GI clinic that will take the time to do a good job.

Office staff is horrible. I called to get doctor authorization (for the insurance company) on a prescription that was prescribed by the doctor. They put me on hold and proceeded to talk badly about me and think of an excuse to tell me as to why they couldnt do that. If they would just put that much time and energy into helping their patients IE their JOB, instead of literally LYING, they might actually accomplish their work. I was going to have an endoscopy and continue care with them, but I would advise anyone thinking of going there not to trust them. Or just find a different doctor. Horrible patient treatment and care.
