Dr. Molen and his staff were very professional and warm. I had an emergency root canal and they got me in quickly. He took the time to explain everything. His procedures were the latest in technology. It was pretty pain and stress free which is amazing considering my fear of dentists. I had very little pain after. I wouldnt go anywhere else after this experience. It was also very fair and affordable.

Dr. Molen and everyone else in the office were extremely nice and helpful. Ive had many root canals before from my previous dentist, but this one was by far the easiest and least painful from Dr. Molen. He explained everything as he was doing it which was comforting. I would definitely recommend going here to anyone I know.

I needed a root canal called and got in right away. Staff was super friendly no wait when I got there. Dr. Molten was awesome he explained everything he was doing very friendly and professional. Most comfortable dental work I’ve ever had done! Price was reasonable too!

Dr. Molen expertly removed 3 roots from my molar and then found a small fourth root and removed that too, each root was abnormally long, 22+ millimeters, and I had no pain during his anesthesia. I consider it a perfect root canal.

Dr. Molen and his staff were amazing. This was my first root canal and I was very nervous. Most of the time in my past when I’ve needed cavities I haven’t been able to get very numb and experienced extreme pain. I told Dr. Molen this upfront and he gave me extra numbing - I was shocked I didn’t feel anything! I had a retreat on a old root canal. Dr Chad Molen was great, let me know what he was doing during the procedure, tooth has be pain free since. the price was less than other endodontist. next time I need a root canal I will go to him rather than my regular dentist.

My dentist wisely referred me to Dr. Molen for a root canal, knowing that this particular tooth required a specialist. Now, 24 hours later, I cant imagine having it done any other way. Dr. Molens front office was organized, informative, and on schedule. His dental assistant was skilled, efficient, and ensured that I was comfortable. Dr. Molen kept me informed during the whole procedure, letting me know everything he was doing and what he was finding. But the best part is that I experienced zero pain during and after the procedure. My original tooth pain was gone immediately and I was back to normal activity within a few hours. Cant say enough good about the experience.

My dentist said I need to see a Endodontist with my tooth pain, and I found Dr. Molen. He was very detailed in the x-rays showing me the lines of the roots to the lines of my sinus. I came in for my first root canal, I expected a very painful experience from what Ive heard about root canals but instead had a quick and painless procedure.I only had about 1/3 of the tooth remaining and it was all the way in the back of my mouth, after the numbing kicked in the entire procedure only took about 45 minutes and was completely pain free, the pain I felt after the numbing wore off was nothing over-the-counter pain medication and a nap couldnt handle.

I just went to have my first ever root canal done. Dr. Molen was fantastic. He was friendly, made you feel comfortable, there was virtually no pain, and he talked the way through the whole procedure so you knew what was going on the whole time. I will definitely be using Dr. Molen again. You can tell he knows what he is doing, and is very very good at it.

I presented Dr. Molen with a very complicated and difficult tooth which required a root canal procedure. It was a small, front tooth in my lower jaw which protruded forward and had been dead for many years. The tooth’s root canal was totally closed off with calcification. In the past, other dentists recommended against a root canal in favor of extraction. Dr. Molen took the time necessary to find the calcified chamber of the root canal and skillfully and carefully opened it up and was able to save the tooth. He also clearly explained in detail what he was doing throughout the entire procedure. He made sure I was comfortable and took the extra precautions and time necessary to make sure the tooth was taken care of quickly and correctly. Dr. Molen and staff made this a pleasant experience and I would recommend him to anyone in need of a root canal procedure.

I have never had to have a root canal done before. So, I was quite anxious. My experience with Dr. Molen and his staff was wonderful. I would definitely go back if the need arises. I am most appreciative of his kind gentle manner. His staff that was also pleasant and helpful. He is excellent.

I have visited South Mountain Endodontics twice for root canal procedures. They were right on time calling me back for the procedure. The office staff were professional and kind. Both root canals were about as pleasant as could be expected given the circumstances. It was pain-free and Dr. Molen really seemed to know what he was doing. Something I really appreciated is that Dr. Molen was really good about explaining to me what he was doing throughout the procedure so I never felt nervous. Ive been to dentists in the past that just work silently and youre never really sure whats happening. While I hope I never need another root canal, this is where Id go if I did.

Dr. Molen is excellent. I was so nervous when he started and the only pain I felt was the initial poke of the needle (that was not much since he had previously numbed the area).. He explained everything he was going to do just before he did it. He made me feel so relaxed, I almost fell asleep during my root canal. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Molen has the best chairside manner of any dentist/endo that I have been to. He explained everything as he performed the work along with his expertise made this redo of a previous dentists work quick and correct finally. He fixed what the dentist messed up. I like the low key office, feels like there is more focus on me and no distraction. I also liked that I actually fell asleep while he was working, no gas. I was just numb and at ease. Total focus on the patient is what is lacking at other places. Great work.

When I arrived to see Dr. Molen, my pain was extreme. He took wonderful care of me and I will always be grateful for his skills to resolve the tooth problem. His bedside manner and overall confidence in his work made me feel very comfortable. I saw Dr. Molen for the first time this past week. I was having intense pain from a root canal done by a general dentist two years ago. Chad and his staff were very nice and informative (thus two stars instead of one), however I am certain his treatment plan of doing 4 root canals was a terrible diagnosis... 4 root canals???!!! I got a second opinion from another endodontist who said I only needed 2 root canals......... Then i went to a DENTIST who said I needed zero root canals and gave me some antibiotics which would help a nasal cavity infection. Everything was solved within 9 days and Ive been completely fine since. Literally 4,000 dollars saved.Just do yourself a favor and spend the 90 bucks extra and GET A SECOND (maybe even third) OPINION!!!

I had a crown put on elsewhere and an abscess developed. I was referred to South Mountain Endodontics for a retreat of a root canal. I was told by the staff at SME that the dentist was really great at understanding and figuring out what was actually going on, and they were right. He took a few x-rays and realized that I did not in fact need a root canal at all. I was charged a consultation fee, and free to go. Thanks so much for your patience and understanding!

Working with them was an A+ experience from start to finish. I was referred by my dentist office (Half Price Dental). My first call was answered by Dr. Molen personally and he got me on his schedule for the following morning. I really appreciated that, without my asking, he provided the anticipated cost of the procedure so I knew what to expect. As a side note, the cost was $400 less than the other two quotes I received from different endodontists.The procedure went very well also. I was greeted by the office manager, completed some quick paperwork (first-time client) and was taken to a chair right at my scheduled time.Although this was my 6th root canal and I know the gist of what was going to be happening, Dr. Molen did a phenomenal job of talking me through what he was doing, what he was seeing as the procedure went on (specific to my teeth/infection/roots/etc), and then recapping the post-procedure care after we finished.Ive spent too much time in a dentist chair for only being 28 years old, but Ive come to appreciate the little things, which Dr. Molen showed acute awareness to. Things like pre-numbing an area before the full application to make it less painful, checking to make sure lips/gums werent being pinched or poked, explaining the different odors, etc.The procedure was yesterday and, as expected, Im still waiting for soreness to go away, but South Mountain made the process as pain-free as a root canal could be! Im in Orem, but it was worth the drive to Draper.Now the question is, will Dr. Molen invite me on one of the epic bike rides that I got to hear about during the operation ;)Thanks for a great experience.Hopefully I never have to do it again :D

No one wants a root canal but if you have to have one this is the place to have it done. I made myself sick worrying about the pain and about the unknown. I experienced no pain and every step was explained in a way that kept me at ease. I appreciate the staffs patience with the high level of anxiety that I had. What an unexpected suprise. I wont be so worried if I need this service again.

Recently I had a tooth that needed to be retreated for a root canal. Dr. Molen was very gentle with me and explained everything he was doing. I have a small mouth and worry about dental work as it can be traumatic for me. He was very careful to make sure I was comfortable and even took care of a cold sore I had developed. I feel secure now if I need this kind of work again because I know Dr. Molen will take excellent care of me! I recommend him and his staff to everyone.

Root end infection - ouch! Was in the chair within 24 hours. Professional service would reccomend to anyone.

He quoted one price and then after the work was done, I was charged more, for nothing more than the usual work and nothing extra ordinary. I disputed the price and he didnt budge. I went to him expecting the price he personally quoted. The front office said that the price was the same as all other Endontists in the area (900.00 and above). I went to him because I thought it would be less expensive. I would have gone to a different Endontist if I wasnt deceived like this.

I had a terrible experience before I found South Mountain. I felt completely safe and comfortable having my double root canned retreat done with Chad. I definitely recommend.

This Endodontist uses a method called Thermo-fill. Its outdated and has been shown time and time again that its not the best method for rootcanal treatment. This method could cause your tooth to split in the root (if that happened it would be painfull and you would loose your tooth) and it doesnt create a good seal at the end of the root which is needed for the rootcanal to be successful. It is more common for a general dentist to use this method but rare for an endodontist. Thermo-fill method is not covered my some insurances. They know better and so should he. I would gues that he does know better but for some reason he still chooses to this old, unethical method.

Horrible office staff. Coworker gave them insurance card and they claim he didnt so they didnt bill insurance. When called to ask them to bill insurance. They treated me very rude and said they were not willing to bill insurance. Would never recommend this office to anyone.
