Super professional... extremely kind, friendly, and helpful. We were seen on time ... in for a check up, appointment was at 3:00... we were walking out the door by 3:20... Dr. Wax was very thorough, answered every question I had... without being condescending, or impatient. I HIGHLY recommend the Eye Center... and .. you don’t have to go into Baton Rouge... that alone is worth giving Eye Center a try.

My family and I have been going here for four years and we love it and will continue to use this business for our eye needs. The staff is always friendly and so are the optometrist. They treat you like family.

Dr Wax is very great! He is fast and knows what he is looking for and how to help you. My son has been going here since he was 5 years old. The office is always exceptionally clean, and the staff are so kind. When I bring my son in- they give me his school excuse first so I don’t forget to ask. Just little things that really add up to make the visits so much better than any other office I’ve been to.

Most useless place ever bought a pair of glasses not even a month ago and the broke due to a manufacturer defect and they wont replace them wanted me to pay to replace them i wouldnt use them again and im telling everything I know who uses them to stop

Dr. Wax and all his employees are always to polite and courteous. Also Dr. Wax exams my eyes very well. He explains everything and why, being Im a diabetic. And wants to insure me, my eyes are being well cared for. I wouldnt go anywhere else.

I used to see Dr. Wax and somehow got put with a new doctor not sure of her name, she was very rude, charged me $75 for a contact fitting I have been fitted before all she did was up my prescription, also did not tell me about this fee until after i had checked out and left, I received a voicemail stating I left without paying...even tho I was never told about this fee, I was told years back it was a one time fee for my first time getting contacts.. also they did not call me when my glasses were ready, very unprofessional experience, I have used this place for years but will not use them any longer.

The first thing that I notice when I walk in the building is the wonderful atmosphere. The staff at the front desk are friendly and helpful. I have been going to this eye center for a few years and have had a wonderful experience with the assistant and the doctor. Not only for myself, but for my shy daughter as well. I like how descriptive the optometrist is with helpful information and tends to speak in Laymans terms. I hope others have the same experience that I have when getting their eyes examined.

Friendly knowledgeable staff. Dr. Wax explains everything about the exam so it is easy to understand. The doctor and his staff are punctual and efficient, I was in and out in less than an hour for an exam and a glasses fitting!!

If I could leave ZERO STARS I would. I was given a script so low I cannot see a thing from far away. A script I haven’t worn in over 15 years. Even after I gave him my current script he still decided to start me with one much much lower than where I was currently at. Most incompetent doctor I have ever been to. Biggest waste of money EVER!!! Now I have to pay to see doctor that actually knows what they are doing to be able to see right. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!!

Went in last April to get glasses for our son. Called ahead and they were so cold on the phone. Didnt seem like she was happy just annoyed. The ladys at the front desk were so ignorant and didnt help at all. Thought maybe it was an off day for them. Called 3 weeks later to check on glasses ordered she was very rude said shed call if they were ready. Today called to schedule an appointment and she huffed when she answered the phone rudely stating company name then said, hold! I just hung up. Third times it for me. Im going somewhere else. If theyre not happy they need to move on and go work somewhere else. Doc should recognize this and know its hurting his business...

Today was my fourth visit to The Eye Center of Denham Springs, and the first time Ive ever gone to the eye doctor for a problem instead of my annual eye exam. My right eye was causing me quite a bit of pain, and I wasnt sure if I should get it checked out or if it was minor and would go away on its own. I decided on Tuesday morning I couldnt deal with it, so I called & they were able to see me just two hours later that same day, which was perfect for me. The receptionist I talked to when I called was very sweet. When I asked how much this visit might cost me, she was willing to call my insurance company to find out. Within an hour she called me back to let me know the cost, which was very reasonable. When I got to the facility a couple of hours later, both front desk employees greeted me. I only waited about ten minutes before I was called to the back. It turns out I did have a corneal ulcer on my eye, and Dr. Brandon Wax was very glad I had discontinued use of my contacts and had come in, because it could get much worse if not caught early. He prescribed eye drops and had me come back in on Thursday for a recheck. They had already planned a staff meeting for first thing Thursday morning but when they realized I needed to come as soon as they opened, they insisted on me coming at 8:00 am if that worked best with my schedule & they could meet after that. That is what I call excellent service! I returned today and they saw me very quickly. Thankfully, the ulcer is almost healed & I dont have to return. Like I said, this was my fourth visit (the other two visits being annual exams), and each time has been a great experience. It hasnt taken me long to be seen, and the entire staff is friendly. Dr. Brandon Wax is very nice, easy to talk to, and you dont feel like he is rushing the patients. My husband & I have had terrible experiences at other eye doctor offices, so we are thrilled to have found a good one!

I picked up my glasses on an afternoon they stayed in the case cause they are my work safety glasses, I took them out at work the next morning and noticed a small scratch on the left lens, I call them they said once I take them its on me. So I wont be going there anymore and Im stuck with 250 dollar scratch glasses.

Normally, I prefer to deal with small/local businesses. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend Dr. Waxs business. Due to an error on the front offices part, I was screwed out of some of my insurance benefits and had to come out of pocket. I was sent a bill 4 months after my visit with no explanation. They were rude and unsympathetic and not willing to correct the problem.

I would like to first say that this review is not about the staff, everyone was nice and friendly. My complaint is with this “fitting fee” that i had to pay $95 out of my own pocket for when I have insurance that has covered my visit at every other place I’ve ever been. I received no different treatment here than I have received at a Walmart vision center or sears optical etc. I was handed a pair of contacts and given a place to sit to put them on. It’s my fault because I as told to sign a waiver that there is a fitting fee. I should have asked how much but was told that my insurance would likely cover it. I didn’t find out that it didn’t until it was time for me to leave. I took it upon myself to call around to other places in the areas and no one else has this “fitting fee” that they have. Since the level of service was no different here than other place I’ve been, I won’t be returning only to pay an extra $95 that I don’t have to pay elsewhere.

I dont recomend this eye center. I will NEVER return to this place. The doctor was beyond RUDE and UNPROFESIONAL. I went back for a recheck 2 months later instead of one. He insisted that it was 4 months, however I have a bank statement and reciepts from that visit to prove otherwise. Regardless of the time passed I was willing to pay again to get my script correct. His attitude from the second he stepped into the room was uncalled for and completely innapropriate on top of getting my script wrong for the 3rd year in a row. Do yourself a favor and find a different doctor.

Wish I could write a decent review, but its 9:30 am on a Saturday and I cant get them to answer the phone to make an appointment for an eye infection. Their hours state 9:00a - 2p on Saturdays.
