My mom went to this facility for rehab after a short hospital stay. She was there for nearly a month.In that time, she was bathed with hair washed just once — though the people supposedly caring for her recorded bathing that never took place. It was the norm to find my mom in the same clothes or same pajamas for several days in a row. The directors solution was to advise me that a sign could be placed at her bedside to remind staff to change her clothing. My mom was wounded somehow — — which is easily done since her skin is so fragile. However after the injury she was left in a bloody shirt until I arrived to change it. Later the wound was dressed without ointment or a non stick bandage so it reopened when the bandage was pulled off. My mom was accustomed to having a straight Catheder three times a week with an at home nursing agency. It was a pain free process. At Manor Care, my mom reported that the Catheder was excruciatingly painful. . Clearly the staff did not know what they were doing or have proper tools. At some point the staff stopped taking my mom to the bathroom and put her in diapers with cleanup whenever they felt like it. She got to sit or lay in her excrement regularly.The PT in this facility was a bright spot with qualified Q and professional staff. They were some individual aids and or nurses that were kind snd competent. But on the whole the place is definitely not where you want to be when you are vulnerable. The management — aka Bob , the Unit Director, is completely ineffective.My advice … go elsewhere. I’m not sure my mom can recover from nearly a month of laying in a bed with very little attention.

I came here for rehab. Ive been to other centers for therapy, but Manorcare has been the best. I would recommend this center to others!

All the nurses were very nice and helpful and would answer any questions. The CNAs are nice and willing to help youn no matter what it is. I have seen them go out of there way to help The building is kept very clean at all times They have many different activities to help pass the time I would recommend this place to anyone

It is comforting to know that I can trust my care with the nurses and therapists and be confident they can get me back home! All of my therapists are excellent and I feel like they are my friends. And although, I miss everyone when I leave, I am happy to be home but it is good to know theyre there if I need to return in the future. The food isnt too bad either.

From the point-of-view of the caregiver, ManorCare has been great! Active communication with me especially during COVID times to keep me informed is greatly appreciated. Therapy is outstanding and the nurses are pleasant and helpful when I call or see them. Very happy with this facility!

Everyone has been wonderful and treated me great! Therapy has helped me to reach my goals and the food wasnt too bad either! Very happy to have chosen ManorCare to have therapy at.

I definitely enjoyed my stay. Loved the food. My PT Amy and my OT Jen were wonderful! They kept me motivated and made my goals to get back home seem realistic always. Manorcare did the best they could with the COVID restrictions.

Each day I noticed myself gaining strength! I began my stay not being able to put weight on my right leg and am now able to comfortably walk. Everyone is willing to help with my needs and listen when i am worried or have any issues. My therapists are always devoted to their work and are great at motivating you towards your goals.

I noticed a big deference in my health from when I began my journey at Manorcare and where my progress is now. The most positive.aspect of my stay is the friendly staff. Kayla, my favorite nurse, treats me as her own family and makes sure all of my needs are met in a reasonable time frame. I trust my therapy and health needs with Manorcare because I know they will get me back home with safety and confidence.

The CNAS, nurses, and therapists at manorcare all came to my rescue when I thought I would never walk again. I was so overwhelmed when I first arrived and I will be forever grateful for all you did for me.

I was very pleased with everyone who helped me during my stay at manorcare utica Ridge. My nurse Celia was very kind Andy patient with my needs and on top of all my medications. My therapists took the time to be personal and treated me like a friend. I loved the food and that I received everything I asked for from the menu. Housekeeping is also doing an excellent job at keeping everything clean and tidy!

My stay at manor care has been wonderful. The nursing staff is great, very friendly and always go out of their way to make you laugh. Jen and Amy in therapy are excellent. When you enter the therapy gym they all make you feel comfortable and like you are part of a family.

My entire stay was better than I could even ask for or hope for. The entire staff has been great and I can always expect the same great care anytime I’m in need of a therapy stay.

I was very pleased with the therapy I received, nursing, and meals. Therapy was able to stick with my expectations of my stay. Nursing and CNA staff was very friendly and encouraging. I am very happy with my stay and I look forward to returning after my next surgery.

Because of my last few skilled stays, I knew I could trust Manorcare - Utica Ridge to take care of me and get me back to my home with confidence to care for myself. The entire staff is fabulous, especially my CNAs Grant and Andrea. They never treat me as an inconvenience. Kayla and Sara Jayne were wonderful nurses with great bedside manner. My favorite part of my stay has been Sarah, my physical therapist. We are very similar people and it feels as I though ive met my soulmate in her. The wonderful staff help to keep my spirits high and it helps greatly with my recovery.

I was able to reach my goals and return home safely because of the wonderful staff and great medical care that I received at manor care utica ridge!

The nursing staff is great at manor care. The therapy staff is wonderful and very knowledgeable! I am Verdi satisfied.

My mom was at this location and her care was wonderful from both therapy and nursing. Physical therapy was so good and they got her up and going and back home! All of her nurses were so good to her and to me as a family member, they worked with me on a daily basis as her advocate. I truly couldnt have asked for better people to work with as far as the nurses and the therapy department!! Definitely recommend !!

I have worked for Utica Ridge for two years. I have also had the pleasure of having my father in law here as a patient twice. I feel that the team did an amazing job with therapies and getting him stronger to return home. He really enjoyed working with Jo and Sarah in therapy.

Thank you thank you thank you!! My uncle is able to go back home because of the great care he received after being hospitalized from a fall, hip fracture, pneumonia, and respiratory issues. It was a shame we placed him in a nursing home closer to home instead of coming to you directly. Your distance was worth the drive for our family!After failing at that other nursing home and having to return to the hospital, we did better research and found you!! Thank you to your Physical and Occupational Team!! They were the best!!

Having worked for the company back in 2012 - 2016, I was very eager to be back working with a great company that has many systems and processes in place for caring for the people of our community. The team at Utica Ridge is amazing!

My stay at manor care has been great. The nursing and cna staff have all been top of the line and Phil in physical therapy has done a wonderful job working with me.

This place is nice, but the people working there dont know what they are doing. Giving people wrong stuff all the time. Had a cell phone come up missing and when they move you, they dont give all your belongings back.

I admitted to manor care Utica Ridge December 2nd 2019. My nursing care and CNA’s have been top of the class. They go above and beyond. Michelle in speech therapy has been very helpful. Pt and of have been wonderful as well. Natasha continues to push me so that I’m doing the most of my abilities.

I’ve had a wonderful experience at Manorcare Utica Ridge, the nursing staff has been wonderful and has gone above and beyond. Phil in therapy works with me everyday pushing me a little bit further.

Absolutely terrible. pulling my mom out of here was the best thing we ever did. We actually thought my mom was going to die. Lost 10 pounds in 10 days at this facility.The staff told us her cancer was progressing (because they are doctors) when it was really that she was over drugged and having a reaction to one of the drugs. The staff doesnt know anything. They show up for a paycheck and that is it. Mom is home and doing better than ever. This place is unbelievable. DO NOT put a loved one in here.

I had a wonderful stay at manor care I have been treated nicely by everyone and the food is delicious!

I was in Manor Care for seven days. The physical therapy is excellent. The nursing staff and CNAs were very accommodating to my needs. The staff throughout the building is friendly and helpful.

I do not recommend this facility. Physical therapy staff were very good, but most of the medical staff seem to not give a whit. Bells are going off 24/7 from patients who need something. I had to follow staff when I requested something for my family member, otherwise itd be 30-45 minutes later in receiving it; i mean all the time, not just during busy times. No greeting when we got there (I mean no one came into the room to explain anything, say hello, oh youre here, zilch. Mom and family sat in room for nearly an hour on her bed when we got there, not knowing what to do). Most CNAs acted like they didnt want to work. No passion for the patient. No sense of urgency. Food was dismal. If I had my dithers, I would have driven Mom elsewhere that first night...very telling what was moto come. Im giving 2 stars bc Mom liked the pt staff. Otherwise, itd be 1 star! Ugh!!

I was a patient there and yes I can say for a fact that the staff will wait for you to leave your room and go through your belongings!! The 1st day my $ was stolen, another I went bk to my room and caught the aid going through my purse! 3rd shift is lazy and complained when i asked for my OWN scheduled meds! Like who does that?? Do not send your loved ones here. Administration did NOTHING when reported! Therapy staff was good thats the ONLY reason they get 1 star!

My brother was here and it was the worst experience possible. Beware if you are diabetic. Furthermore, they would falsify things in the chart. They will not pay attention to anything the resident/patient has to say or the family for that matter. They neglect to take the patient for testing appointments. You can ask questions but there is no guarantee they will tell the truth. I could go on with a whole lot more. The best thing we did for my brother was to get him out of Manor Care. He is already doing better.

Our son has been a resident at Manor Care Utica Ridge for 17 months because he has a traumatic brain injury. The CNAs have gone out of their way to accommodate us. The nurses could not be better. The nurse practitioners and dr. are very involved and competent. The therapy staff is the best we have had in 31/2 years - San Diego, St.Louis, Encinitas, Ca., La Mesa, Ca., St. Louis, and Ankeny, Iowa. The building is clean and activities are varied and fun for residents. My husband and I have been with our son everyday all day for 2 years and now 5 hours a day-every day. We know what goes on. We advise that you stay involved with your loved one, get to know the staff, work with them. They have a difficult job but they will respond to you if you show you also care about them. The administrative staff at Manor Care Utica Ridge is always available. If you are dissatisfied, talk to them. If you are happy, pass it along and give credit to those who helped. We think no one wants to be in a nursing home- but sometimes you have no choice. We would choose Manor Care Utica Ridge every time. We feel caring for our son is a team effort. We are thankful to have these professionals on our team.

If they cared , they would fix the problem . Looks like to me they dont, the low rating shows it . Its about the $ You get what you pay 4, and the staff shows. My advise, record everything you can, voice pics camera.

I wouldnt give them a 1 star either. Horrible health care facility!! Both my parents were taken out of there in worse health than they were going in. Personal items missing!!! Employees had no clue about anything. They missed transporting my mom to here Dr appts we had scheduled for them to transport her. They all mb need to find other jobs because clearly they dont want to be there! I feel guilty I left my parents in their care!

The staff is very friendly and welcoming. They helped out my family tremendously!

This is a horrible place !!! My mother in law was there for a month !! They r very short staffed !!! She had to wait for over a half n hour most times to go to bathroom and to gets her pain meds was a joke one day she went almost 10 hrs with none !!!! After repeating to ask !!! Would call me crying !!! Never put a loved one in this place !!!!!😡😡😡

Id give a zero if that was an option.
