Waited 5 hours to get the results of a CT scan. I understand they are busy but the poor service is ridiculous. I would rather have dealt with the pain than the miserable experience I had here.

I went to this ER last night around 3 AM for severe back pain. They put me in a wheelchair (with no footrests) and rolled me to the back of the waiting area. All but the slightest movement triggered the most intense back pain, and I was literally screaming in agony while they completely ignored me...for almost 4 hours. I even tried calling 911 from the ER, but to no avail. Shortly afterwards, someone finally came to me and asked if there was anything I need. I told him I needed to get out of that chair, he told me I could continue to wait for an undetermined amount of time, or I could leave. Since I couldnt sit in that chair any longer, I told him I didnt have any choice, so he rolled me to the door and I spent the next 30 minutes hobbling across the street to where my girlfriend was waiting for me in the car.All the 5-star ratings are from various Live Guide accounts and are total fabrications, possibly even paid for. My experience was identical to every 1-star review here, and like most of them, I dont want to give them ANY stars. The staff are rude and apathetic, and the waiting room is filthy, complete with a few bugs flying around. There are some fantastic doctors at Baylor and I have nothing but high praise for every PCP Ive had with them, but sadly, this ER is a disgrace and shames Baylors reputation as one of the best medical centers in the metroplex.

Stay away from this emergency room. They mis-diagnosed my wife. Go to another hospital or urgent care in the city. I’ve been here twice. Each experience was terrible. I will NEVER go back. Their Rules are from the 40’s and still don’t make sense . If you take a love one there you will lose all contact with them. No place for you to sit or go. This hospital makes millions of $$ but they tell you to go home. No way to contact your loved one once inside. Homeless people all around begging for money, Food, etc.

I was told by a nurse at Baylor that they are letting nurses in the Neonatal ICU opt out of the COVID-19 vaccine. I recommend not giving birth here.

Dont go here. Especially by yourself. Staff is rude and grossly under qualified. Never go here alone as staff will not advocate for you. If youre in any state where youre unable to fully advocate for yourself do not trust the healthcare workers here to advocate for you. Instead of correcting mistakes staff continuously plays the blame game and doesnt attempt to fix clear and identified issues. From triage to discharge staff here is unable and unwilling to provide patient centered care or even appropriate care. Evaluations are not thorough, hardly any questions are asked, if your symptoms are not alleviated with 1 intervention you are told, I know you feel like were not trying to help but what do you want from us. All in all just dont go. Terrible staff and youll leave feeling worse than when you came.

My brother went to Baylor ER last night and the NP who saw him was very rude and didnt act like she was interested in treating him. He went there for falling, he fell 4 times in a half of day. They did a cat scan and she said there was nothing wrong. Well, his Spinal cord doctor called him this morning and said he needs to see a neurosurgeon tomorrow. It showed a bone is pressing on his nerve in the cervical area.I would give them a ZERO if I could. Im VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH HIS TREATMENT

Next time, I will definitely go to a different ER. I arrived with long term breathing problems, severe headaches, body aches, and elevated heart rate. I gave detailed information including that my pains are getting worse when I just go up the stairs and so does my heart to race and I had a hard time breathing . They did blood work, EKG, and one X Ray and monitored me by having me lay down for several hours, then determined there is no issue with me I told them that movement makes my heart race and out of breath and they sent me home even though I still had the same symptoms. The recommendation was to take Tylenol and wait for the COVID test result which was negative. Unbelievable. Now, I am trying to find a MD that actually cares.

This hospital has the best group of medical professionals! The service was superb from top to bottom. I thrive very careful on excellence in customer services from any organization. When it comes to your health, I feel that everyone should be an advocate for your health. The waiting room area was clean. The Wait time in the ER was less than 15 minutes!! As a Certified Nursing Assistant by trade, I am very observant with every detail. There were no errors. My congratulations to a pleasant hospital visit as a new resident of Dallas Texas, very pleased 😀😀 keep up the good work and dedication to your calling.

My husband arrive around 9pm didnt get called to the back until 12am to talk to the nurse. I believe around 1am is when he got called to the back to draw blood. So around 2am he was finally put in a room. For a whole hour no one came and introduce their self, ask if he was in pain or what was the paim level of his pain. He set there for a whole hour pushing the button no answer and then when the nurse jacklynn did come he told her that he been calling for for a hour because he was in pain and how their are very unprofessional and she told him oh well. What nurse tells a patient oh well when they are in PAIN! I finally got in contact with the supervisor Ashley who is over emergency room for tonight and she did not care that nurse jacklynn was Neglecting my husband.

Came in at midnight and all the staff I met were very kind and helpful. They made sure to describe everything they were doing which put me at ease and that we were comfortable by providing us warm blankets. The facility could use a fresh coat of paint and new chairs but what can ya do. They will take good care of you.

If I could leave less than 1 star I would , I came in at 7:13 pm for a hand injury , here it is 11:05 pm , and I am still waiting , the male nurse dont know his name but really colorful , interesting tattoo on his shoulder, is terrible , I called for my nurse to come in the room , and he told me he could help me over the call button , so I ask for a guest service team member to speak with about this atrocious wait time ! Thank god Im not having a stroke or a heart attack , because this hospital will literally LEAVE YOU FOR DEAD ! Due to this experience at Baylor University medical center , i will never visit another BAYLOR ever again , nor will my family or my children , I knew I should have drove a little further and went to Methodist ! Oh and by the way, while I have been waiting for 4 hours , all of the nurses are sitting around talking about getting balls to the walls drunk whatever that means ! Goodness if you Love , your loved ones NEVER TAKE THEM ANYWHERE NEAR THOS PLACE !

Never been to a hospital that was as caring as Baylor Medical. The people in admissions were friendly, the nurses were Superb, second to none and the PAs were great. I have never been to a hospital where the staff actually seemed to care about your well-being like Baylor does. I will never go to any other hospital after going to Baylor. Hands down the best Ive ever seen!

Arrive about 3:30pm complaining of chest pain, palpitations and headaches. It is 8:30pm. Was told if they thought anything was wrong with my test they would move me up. Then told me average wait time is 6hrs and 21minuted and I only been here 4.5 hrs. I always chose wrong.

We told her no but she never ask what insurance I had? I am not homeless or illiterate. We work have health insurance a very good insurance. If I could give less than a star I would.

Pain management is poor here. If you are in severe pain do not come to this hospital!!! You will suffer badly. The staff is super slow!!!!! This is not a good place to go for serious health issues. Go to medical city or UT Southwest if you have severe problem.

Unclean waiting area, extremely long wait times every step along the way, brought s/o to ER with open bleeding wound, he sat in the waiting room dripping blood on the floor which I might add was already next to visible yellow liquid that was on the floor along with an empty coffee cup ... I think that says enough
