Dr. S and Emily have been the most awesome providers. I’ve been a patient since 2015 and Dr. S was who I saw most of the time at the beginning. She has worked with me to try to relieve my pain. As she got busier and more patients, I was put with Emily. Emily is just fantastic! She listens to you, she takes her time with you and she works with me to try to find ways to help with my pain issues. I have some congenital issues that have progressively gotten worse with time. Emily goes above and beyond to help me find ways to relieve pain. I cannot thank Dr. S and Emily enough for being so kind and patient with me through this journey. They understand that I am in great pain and they try everything possible to help relieve the pain. I could not ask for better treatment and providers! The staff of Palmetto Pain Management is also outstanding. They go above and beyond to help you with anything. I’ve had to call a few times for different issues and they are always polite and helpful. If you need pain management, Palmetto Pain is the place you need to go to!

Palmetto pain management is one of the best facilities to go for for chronic pain than I have ever been to, the doctors and nurses really do care about what is going on with her patients and will do whatever it takes to help people I have relief with pain. I have never had any negative experiences with palmetto pain management and I’m sure most of the patients will say the same thing. I do want to thank them for such caring service.

I have been a patient of Dr Riber and Emily McKinney since 2004! I have been there for so long because they care about me and they show me compassion and that is hard to find.Chronic Pain is a difficult thing to deal with and you have to have a doctor that truly cares and Palmetto Pain Management is the place to go!

Very poor competence by Dr. Riber. You see only a PA once a month. Dr. Riber wants to use epidurals and injections (dangerous steroids if used too often will destroy good cartilage in the body) and prescibes meds for neuropathy (nerve pain), a non opiod med. He will not prescribe opiods for many a patient. You never see him except during injections and he is not friendly then. I would highly recommend that you not go to this pain clinic, especially Dr. Riber. I played a very high level of tennis and have to have both knees replaced, my neck is torn up, my lower back is torn up, my shoulder is torn up, and I am now also going to have a hip replacement. I have very severe chronic and acute pain. Dr. Riber made my conditions much worse. As a patient from the medical field I knew right away he had no idea what he was doing. STAY AWAY FROM THIS CLINIC!!!!!!!

I must admit that I was nervous as I walked in the door. I Had Major Back Surgery in March of 2018. I have been to a couple of pain clinics since and was treated like cattle or an addict. I must say that Dr. Stanislaus is awesome. I’ve been going to Palmetto Pain Management for a couple of years now. My back is in a terrible mess. My pain was unbearable. They never gave up on ways to manage my pain. Dr. Stanislaus changed her schedule in order to get me in for a shot in my sciatic nerve on my left side which also had Bursitis in the left hip. Palmetto Pain Management provides you with doctors that have specialized in the study of pain management...a process that takes 9-12 years of university level study. Doctors and Physicians Assistants have dedicated themselves to controlling pain and it is evident at PPM. I was drugged & shelved for many years I was on the fentanyl patch & oral opioid medication and discharged after 14 years on daily opioid medication I was discharged without medication or a referral or any information other than we are going to contact your insurance adjuster and refer you to a doctor that will continue your medication. When the PA made 2 prescription mistakes I was blessed to have a Great pharmacist and she caught the medications. When the PAs errors got so bad instead of addressing the PA, I was told by Dr.Riber that clinics were being closed left & right & fear of the Government resulted in discharging me. I was seen and discharged by a member of the administration. I was billed as thought I was seen by a medical professional. I was discharged without medications, or even a referral and though I was reassured that a referral was being made after about a month of waiting I started the process of trying to get my chart.Each time I picked up another part of my chart I was told it was complete.The 1st time it was missing the last year,The 2nd time they werent able to find it & finally discovered Dr.Riber had it, I picked it up and it had a cover letter stating dates & that it was complete, NOT! it was still missing the final month!The 3rd time I showed up with the police and the CEO Fred Riber, (the owners son)denied it & then went in & returned with the final month.This was the second time I was forced to have a discussion in the parking lot of Palmetto Pain Management! Confidentiality does not seem to matter to Palmetto Pain Management BUT IT DOES TO ME!My medical record was grossly incorrect! I am now having to TRY & GET IT CORRECTED😡. Please CYA!Please know I am very concerned for clients of Palmetto Pain Management who do not have the education & skills I do and being some so mistreated will result in desperate attempts to control the pain & avoid withdrawal through inappropriate means.Please if this happens to you go to an emergency room & allow them to assist you.FYI Being physically dependant is not the same as OUD! I am doing my research and I encourage you to, I was told I was being referred and I would continue the same meds, then I found OUD on my chart? I am on a discovery of information & I wrote a letter to the doctor requesting incorrect information like Right shoulder and Left shoulder issues🤷🏼‍♀️ Ive never had any shoulder issues and the OUD, I do not meet the requirements for a diagnosis of Opioid use disorder! Please take care of yourselves prayers.

I can not say enough about Emily Rosenfeld. She is a doc that goes above what she needs to to make sure your pain is managed to the best of her ability. She cares about you not just as a patient but as a whole person. Emily listens to what you have to say and if something isnt working she adjust to see if there is another way to address your issues. I am so thankful to have Emily in my life!!

I started out seeing Dr. Ezra Riber in the practice several years ago for severe pain. Dr. Jennifer Stanislaus took over my case and I now see Emily Rosenfeld McKinney, PA. I cannot say enough about both of them. Both Dr. S and Emily LISTEN and HEAR your concerns. They do everything in their experience and power to help resolve your pain. I have no problem telling them exactly how I’m feeling so they can find a solution. I’ve had different treatments with varying results but they never stop trying to find the one that works best. They jump through hoops to get you what you need even though their hands are often bound by insurance restraints (admittedly, getting in for procedures is a lengthy process unfortunately due to how skilled and reputable they are). I LOVE the care and concern, empathy and collaboration that they both give. And if Emily ever leaves the practice I swear I think I’d have to follow her. So Dr. S, DON’T LOSE HER! She just pushed through for me to get something resolved with an associated company that’s been going on for awhile - something they weren’t aware of (also with Dr. S’s help!). Long review but it’s because of how passionate I feel about these doctors.

After receiving no pain relief after three injections, i traveled a long distance to meet with Dr. Stanislaus. From the moment I entered the building I was treated with care and respect. After the initial intake, I met with Dr. Stanislaus. My experience was night and day compared to the physician at the other practice. She was beyond thorough and explained the MRI results using laymans words and a model skeleton. In addition, she shared another issue the other doctor never even mentioned.During the actual procedure Dr. Stanislaus explained every action along the way to ensure i understood what was happening.I would recommend Dr. Stanislaus and Palmetto Pain Management to anyone in need of excellent treatment and care, and I have.

Ive been a patient of Dr.Riber for about 13 yrs. I have headaches so bad that I would sometimes cry .I went to his office to see what I needed to do to calm them down. First, let me say this is the first facility I have went to who has given me another way to manage pain other than just medication! Second, PA Emily Rosenfield is now like family than who I see for managing my pain. Third, Dr Riber has done multiple procedures on my back and has done an outstanding job! They all truly care about you! And last (but she is definitely not least), the sassy check out lady who sets your next appointment IS THE BEST!!! Emily Rosenfeld is the rare healthcare provider who puts a patient’s quality of life above all else. She has worked tirelessly to find solutions to pain problems that felt hopelessly unfixable. Always, she takes the time to explain complex concepts and address patient questions and concerns. Emily has put great effort into my unique case, and my health has improved in ways that previously felt impossible. Beyond Emily’s excellent care, PPM returns phone calls promptly, scheduling appointments is easy, and visits are quick, despite how busy PPM is. They’ve worked very hard over the last few years to get patients in and out, with no sacrifice to the quality of care. The medical profession, and society as a whole, treats pain patients as inconvenient at best, and as pariahs at worst. We’re lucky to have Emily and PPM!

I began my experience with Dr. Riber several years ago. He was so understanding of my pain. I later began seeing Emily Rosenfeld a PA-C. She is very professional and treets me with great respect. I waited months ( unable to get out of bed due to inbearable pain) to see Jennifer Stanislaus. She said she was unable to help me. She has a dislike of opiates or any controlled substances.l had to fill out a form designed to make me look like a drug seeker ( lve never taken opiates on a chronic basis.) She injects dangerous steroids, however and has no problem with that. It appears that is her real money maker and she refuses to help anyone allergic to steroids. She lacks compassion and empathy ( which l pointed out to her). She replied, l hear that all day long. Negative reviews seem to disappear on her site. Beware of this doctor if you expect her to help you!

I have a rare chronic pain disorder that is extremely resistant to treatment and has no cure. But Dr. Stanislaus and her team have never given up. The staff feel like family - everyone cares and always wants to know how I am. Treating pain is a difficult thing to do, but I couldn’t ask for a better team!

Dr. Stanislaus is awesome! She was completely booked up and when I tearfully told her I had an upcoming wedding, she shifted her schedule around to fit me in so I didnt have to limp down the aisle. And she remembers EVERYTHING and helps simplify her explanations so they are easily understandable. I absolutely loved her.

This is hands down the best pain management clinic I have ever been to. I was starting to lose hope as I had seen three other doctors with no relief. The day that I saw Dr. Riber I knew I was in good hands. He looked at my charts and within two minutes he found the numerous mistakes that the other doctors had made. He then presented a logical plan of treatment and so far I have been progressing extremely well. It feels like he is helping me get my life back! The best part of the experience is that he just sat back and listened to me and really tried to understand my situation. The other doctors just gave me a series of yes or no questions and that was it! There are times when I have to see a physicians assistant and I can tell you that they are every bit as professional and helpful as Dr. Riber. The rest of his staff are all wonderful as well, Taylor in particular. She is always there to help me if I have any problems in between visits. If your insurance covers it, this is the only place in Columbia to go. Thank you all so much!

If you want to see a PA instead of a doctor at a place that does not record your appointment meeting records, are put on a shelf then a few years later be told the doctor doesnt know what he can do for you, this place is for you. If you want results, find a place other than Palmetto Pain & Dr. Riber.

Doctors does not have a clue of diagnosing a patient. You WILL NOT see results in anything they try in So Called Treatment. Every visit is the Same Exact Repetitive Cycle! Same questions asked, same documents form rating pain, and of course refill of meds.Thats all!DRs Do NOT care about helping their patients! All the Drs. Will do is just Refill ur Meds!
