Everyone is always very professional and pleasant, no matter how busy the office is. It is really nice to be able to get all diagnostic studies, evaluation and medications in one place. Running around and waiting for labs, etc is difficult at best when you are sick and/or worried. Thanks for having it all in one spot and delivering care with excellence.

I read Google reviews on this location that was the best out of a few other locations which prompted me to receive treatment specifically from this location. Overall I can say I was satisfied with my decision to use this location.

I was shocked to find out the person who took my vitals was not vaccinated for Covid 19.And she said she was sceptical of the vaccine and didnt worry because she had had Covid and had the antibodies. The majority opinion of the scientific community says this is not enough to prevent the spread of new strains vs vaccine and boosters. I am perplexed that you allow this in a medical facility.

This is one of the best urgent care we have been. Great customer service, from the front desk all the way inside. Wait time is less. Meaning from the front area to going inside waiting for the doctor within the hr you are seen. Very thorough, fast and they follow up. Tests are done, read and explained.Highly recommended.For Patient First. Please don not change your service. Thank you

PA Deanna Shapiro was so nice & informative. Her and the tech who took my tests made me feel comfortable to be in the office! Took about an hour to be seen, but compared to other urgent cares I was not complaining or upset about it.

Support staff are nice and try their best but the doctor who saw me rushed through his diagnosis and insisted on treating my sore throat with some nasal spray. He barely peeked into my throat and missed the white patches which were all over the back of my throat. When I asked him about them, hoping he would give me some antibiotics or something, he stuck with the nose spray. Not surprisingly, the spray has done nothing. My throat has gotten worse and now I have to go see another doctor. Also, the nurse thought I came in for a physical because no one asked me the purpose of my visit. Just a colossal waste of time and money.

Very kind people. Reasonable wait. Cared about my wellbeing and even though they didnt see a fracture in my X-Ray, they provided a referral for a hand specialist and checked to ensure it worked with my insurance. Much appreciated!! So grateful they didnt say youre fine, bye, because I actually did tear a ligament in my hand. Also very patient with questions!

Excellent service. Good History and Excellent Physical with a 12 lead EKG, multiple breath sounds, throat and neck check plus extremity reflexes tested. I couldnt believe the Doc actually touched me and didnt dictate simultaneously.

The wait time and ingress processing was smooth. COVID protocols and having masks available upon entry was excellent. Staff was comforting and professional. PA on staff was nice, thorough, and informative. They had my primary care already on file, so I know my records will be shared with them. For immediate health care, I always like Patient First.

I’ve always had a poor experience at this place but decided to give it another chance after two years. Bad idea. The staff is friendly and doing the best they can with the patient load, but once you get back into a room there is no care. I was asked to give a urine sample but their sample cups have no tops (not maintaining sterility if the sample isn’t sealed after - poor medical practice). I waited for about an hour to be seen once I was in the room. I listened to others who arrived in rooms after me be treated first. Once I called the front desk asking if I could leave, someone magically appeared to help me before I could walk out of the building.

I would not ever go back to this place. The only reason they get three stars is because the lady at the checkin desk was very kind and the lady who gave me an ekg was very personable.it was also very clean and I only waited a short time…my biggest issue was the doctor.A few weeks ago I went here with heart palpitations, blood pressure drops, dizziness, and extreme fatigue. The doctor was very dismissive with me, did not discuss test results thoroughly, and told me to drink more water. My pee was crystal clear…I was drinking enough but still dehydrated. He could not explain to me why this was the case.I basically had to beg to get an ekg done even though my heart was acting erratic. And to top it all off, they charged us for coming in “after hours”…which we did not. I was out of there ten minutes before they even closed. My friend highly recommended them because it’s right by the hospital so you can avoid the ER; but they will send you there if necessary, but next time, I’ll just go to the ER! I ended up my other doctors after that appointment and they were all shocked that patient first didn’t send me straight to the ER based on my symptoms that particular day. Also, my other doctor was able to explain how I could be so dehydrated even though I was drinking a gallon of water. I feel like this urgent care just made me feel like I was inconveniencing them.On top of my issues, my friend went there recently with clear gallbladder pain and they misdiagnosed her with heartburn. a few days later she was in the hospital getting her gallbladder removed!

There’s always a long wait time when I come here so I usually prepare for that but I came here the other day for bladder complications and waited an hour to get checked in. I took a urine test, and then waited 20 mins for a room, then I sat in the room for 1.5 hours just to finally see the nurse practitioner for them to tell me the result of my test and they gave me NO diagnoses and told me to see my primary. It was a 2 mins talk. I understand that they are busy but just felt like they didn’t offer me any information. Huge wast of time and money. They’re processes are very poor and I just am done relying on them. This is the second time I came here for them to not give me any information, the first time they completely misdiagnosed me a year back.

I was seen within 15 minutes of my arrival and taken to get x-rays. My treatment from the time I was registered up to when I was released was positive. I felt that the PA was personable she remembered when I came in before with an unusual headache and other symptoms. I like that they take your pain seriously and do all that they can to help you.

Everyone was so nice and efficient! They were sweet, and I was in and out of the building in only an hour! I was also very pleasantly surprised that they were able to disimpact my ears on the spot. My only expectation was to be able to get an Rx for antibiotic ear drops and they greatly surpassed that so I am 100% recommending this location to the people I know. I really enjoyed my CNA (I forget her name but she had glasses and short, curly red hair and is ~50yo) and my PA Jackie!

I have put my information on the screen, and then wait almost an hour to see dr. There were so many people came later than me, but those more than10 patients saw dr way before me. Even there wasnt emergency one. Beside that, overall experience were good.

It’s obvious Patient First cares very little about supporting them as they try their best to deal with the crazy patient loads they have now with Covid again. I wish I could’ve made their day better but they looked exhausted and overworked while the older Asian lady looked on.

Everyone is so very kind here. I felt like I was listened to and helped to the fullest of their abilities. Ive been here perhaps 3 times for myself and never once felt like a burden. They helped me through the trouble of having no insurance and treated me the same when I got insurance. Really, one of the best places Ive ever been.

The young ladies who registered and triaged me were very professional and easy to talk to. They have great personalities for their roles within the office. The physician was also professional and personable. He and the assistant evaluated my situation and came up with the best plan for me. After getting my stitches the nurse followed up with giving me a shot and wrapping my finger. That was excellent teamwork by everyone today!!! Hi-five to all of them!

I went in for a covid test, with symptoms and all, but apparently they performed other tests on me and i ended up owing $175. I was so confused because all i wanted was to find out if i had covid or not, and the lady at the front told me the visit would be free as long as i had symptoms and it was ran through my insurance. i called my insurance company who told me the covid test part was free but they ran the claim through treatment instead of diagnosis. i was not treated for anything and was not aware other tests were being performed. i feel like i was deceived and robbed basically. i cannot even afford to pay this $175

* If possible, I would give absolutely 0 stars *I came in with very bad ear pain and said I believe I had an infection. The MD barely glanced in my ear, didnt palpate the area, etc. I was told it probably was an infection, and to take antibiotics - but if it continued go to a dentist because it might be my jaw. Even though I told them it wasnt my jaw - the pain was in my ear. I took the antibiotics as prescribed. I woke up the next day in EXCRUCIATING pain (10x worse), hearing loss in the affected side, and visibly swollen and red tissue in my face and decided to go to an ENT. After actually looking in my ear and evaluating me - they found I had a severe infection, as well as Bullous Myringitis (blisters all up and down my ear canal) and visible cellulitis of the face and surrounding tissue. They put me on steroids, antibiotics (as the ones given to me by patient first dont even work in adults), and ear drops. Had I not gone and been seen by them, and continued with the treatment patient first gave me, I could have gone deaf, septic, or worse. I have never been so frustrated and appalled at lack of care.

Went to Patient First in Columbia for a COVID Rapid Test. Waited for only a few minutes before taking test. The staff was very helpful and I was finished in less than an hour. Worse place to go, they take for ever to file with your insurance, specially when you have primary and secondary, I was seen March 2019, a year later I got a bill for $25.75 paid them, then in January 2020 still sent me to collection and stated that I sent my payment late, I just got a notice in the mail dated 9/2/21 asking for $40 more dollars this is late fees and interest, all this time I didn’t hear from anybody. This is the way they make revenue from the patients, with daily interest and fees.🤮🤮🤮

I called the day before I arrived to make sure they would see me as a primary care doctor and do specific labs and the doctor told me they do the labs and would see me and to just walk in the next morning after I had been fasting. So I go in this morning only to be turned away, they refused to see me after I explained multiple times. I never wouldve wasted my time coming in if I was just going to be turned away. Not sure if all locations are like this or if its just the columbia md location but dont waste your time.

The older lady working the front was very unprofessional and made me feel like she didn’t want me to be scene just because I didn’t have my medical card. The nurse who did my blood work couldn’t get the band from around my arm and kept pulling it while the needle was still in my vein which left a scar. She had the nerve to do it infront of a student and didn’t even say sorry for what she did. Besides that the doctor was amazing.

Im a veteran. This center is VA approved. I wasnt sure what to expect but I was treated well and got taken care of in a timely manner. I appreciated the lady at the front desk making me feel welcome as a first timer there. My hearing aid piece was stuck in my ear canal. They helped pull 2out. There was a 3rd! I have to go to an ENT to get that one out it was just too deep. The doctor didnt push it which I liked. The technician who flushed my ears was kind. Warm water should always be used never cold as It can make a person dizzy and its uncomfortable. ( Just a tip in case you ever have to flush) We did what we could. We did our best. Thanks for yourhelp and being timely getting me in and out.

This visit was smooth from beginning to end. The parking lot was more than half full but I was in and out quickly. I didn’t have to wait in the exam room long which is appreciated any day. I had X-rays and was taken right away for that too. The staff was all top notch from check in to P.A.

The entire staff was friendly, the reception area was clean and I felt safe with the COVID policies and procedures in place. My wait time was extremely short, about 5-10 minutes in the waiting area before I was taken back to be seen. It was shift change and I still was seen by a doctor within 25-30 minutes. The doctor who saw me was kind, thorough and honest with me. Although I was ill, my experience was still a very positive one.

Reasonable wait time. Front check-in was OK, though the check-in person could improve a bit on her communication and personality.Nurse was great and the Physician Dr. Eun Kim was very impressive. I loved her thoughtful and clinical approach to her diagnosis. The only issue that I had was with the fact that they co-mingle people for covid testing with other patients - Their protocols were good though - safe distancing of chairs, masks and availability of touchless sanitizers. Overall good exerience. I would go there again - I have been to this facility 3 times over the last few years and have been impressed with the quality of their physicians.

Poor patient care. They don’t know how to follow waitlists and seemingly call people at random. Had to wait almost 2-hours to be seen. After 2-hours I left. This place is absolutely terrible..... Let me clarify beyond wait times that the staff was discriminatory and unprofessional. Since the owners response only caters to wait time, I think its important to note that this place only caters to certain types of people. I would not recommend this place if you do not fit the howard county elite profile.

If they dont fix your problem correctly, they do not let you come back without waiting in line, nor do they take responsibility, and make you pay again. Went In the evening, cuz got a decent slice on top of my thumb, they put on the liquid bandage that coats the entire wound. I wasnt home 1 hour before it had bled through, and continued to bleed through the night. I called first thing in the morning to tell they there wasnt enough administered and would like to cover the wound more properly. I was told, I have to come in for a follow up, wait in line, and PAY, and again for a job that was not done correctly in the first place.

I was super frustrated by how little information I was provided by the doctor after my appointment. It felt like she was simply checking off a box and rather than provide care, she just set me up to be anxious and panicked. I actually left the clinic in tears after my questions were barely answered and had to return a few minutes later only to be told by the doctor that I should check in a second time and pay a second copay. She had not checked my lymph nodes and when told, she stated that I should have informed her and this was new information for her. After telling her that I did not feel that I was given the opportunity and that I was trying to advocate for my health, she obliged. I do not think I will ever return to this clinic, especially not if that doctor is working that day. Given the number of clinics in this area, I feel that there is likely a better one out there for me to choose from.I will say that the support staff was very friendly and supportive and the office appeared clean.

Terrible experience. Was told at the front they do rapid covid testing, then was moved to a room in the back and had to wait over two hours before someone even came in to talk to me. Then was informed POST COVID TEST that they are no longer doing rapid testing. Was tested over two weeks ago and still haven’t received my results. Keep calling and no one will help me.

The office wait was somewhat long (~ 1.5 hour on a Saturday morning, holiday weekend), but staff was very nice. The doctor was knowledgeable and efficient. The reason for the 3-star review is that I was charged an additional $71 after-hours fee with no notification (not reimbursable by insurance). Their standard vs after-hour times are not posted anywhere, and the receptionist does not know what they are. They also dont send you a bill with cost breakdown unless you request it online.

I never actually saw a doctor, only a PA. The office was literally empty when I got there, but she rushed me through the process, not even letting me form full sentences before she interjected. Then she tried to give me muscle relaxers for a tendon or ligament strain, which was probably not her fault . When she tested the functionality of the joint she didnt apply any pressure. Therefore we couldnt duplicate the excruciating pain that I get when I try to lift anything over 2 pounds or use my right hand. Ive received that test before, so I knew what to expect. Being that I came to see a doctor, I thought to discuss that with the physician. When I asked her whether or not an actual doctor was available, she said that she was filling that role. How can a PA fill the role of a doctor? The education and training is not comparable. Going to the doctor is fiscal transactions, in which I pay to see a doctor! I paid to see a doctor not a 25 year old PA! Did I get charged the same as I would have been charged to see a doctor??? Ill never use patient first again.
