I have gone there several times throughout my graduate studies for various types of muscle injuries. Every time that I have gone to the center, I was always well received and got an excellent treatment for my injuries. Place was always neat, clean, filled with staff who were nothing but professional. I could not complain about anything other than struggling sometimes to find an available spot. Either way, in my book thats a 5/5.

Ugh, this place is still just as awful as it was decades ago. On hold for days, and get completely different answers depending on who was on the phone with you last. BTW, my guess is I will get a CYA reply that will read so sorry you had this experience! No, they are so sorry I left this review, lol.

Capable of Very ordinary examination. not even intermediate stuff. Health center is just there to refer you to somebody who you can reach by yourself already.

USC conveniently only accepts USC insurance so be prepared for them to charge you like crazy for anything beyond talking to you.

My experiences with the staff have been mixed- while some doctors have been very friendly and receptive, I have felt dismissed by others. My main issue, however, is not with the level of care provided at the facility but in the exuberant costs of the center. Although students are provided with a number of free primary care consultations, anything outside of a consultation, such as blood work and testing, is extremely expensive. The only insurance that they network with is the Student Health Insurance Plan, primarily purchased by students who did not have health insurance prior to attending USC. My mother works for the government; therefore, I have state insurance through blue cross blue shield. One would think that the STATE FUNDED university would accept STATE insurance. As a college student not from Columbia I do not have a primary care physician in the area and finding a reputable one outside of the university has proven to be extremely difficult. Nearly all family practices in Columbia have horrible ratings across all review platforms and I do not feel comfortable trusting them with my health. One would think that the student health center would provide a cost effective place to recieve treatment considering the amount of tuition I pay every year.

Ive had nothing but great experiences when coming to the student health center. All the employees are insanely genuine and amazing at their jobs. They go above and beyond for every patient. I would reccomend even if you the slightlist concern over a medical issue, go talk to them.

The people here really care about their patients, so much that when I was admitted to the hospital for two days I was visited by Terry she is a very caring individual and so is the rest of the staff here.

For a campus that has many laboratories using chemicals, this place is unprepared for chemical related injuries. At least get the MSDS at nurse stations.

It gets by. There are free condoms on the second floor in the hallway across from the pharmacy. And no badge required to get to them. Hopefully once the new building is built theyll keep that service.
