After being sent to multiple doctors without any answers about what was going on with my then 4 year old daughter, we finally landed with Dr Hawkins Holt. She was able to immediately diagnose my daughter with JIA and began treatment immediately. Her bedside manner is wonderful - so important, especially when dealing with kids.I was worried about what was going on with my daughter, but Dr Hawkins Holt was reassuring and explained everything about this diagnosis.Last night we were able to stop the medication and I have a very happy little girl who is pain free.Thank you, in deep gratitude.

Receptionist and medical assistant were all great and polite. Dr. Ali I just wished understood that just because you’re labs come back normal does not mean I don’t have RA. I have been suffering in silence for months 5 months postpartum and RA runs in my family. My mom developed it postpartum as well. I am in excruciating pain daily trying to take care of my daughter. It’s a terrible feeling having to suffer when the people that are supposed to help (doctors) don’t believe you. Maybe it’s because I’m only 26. She told me that I probably held my daughter the wrong way and maybe I just have ppd. Even though I told her my pain is most severe when I wake in the morning and the pain changes between both hands constantly. Either way I just hope one day doctors actually become the help they were trained to do. This isn’t my first time being ignored/ misdiagnosed by a doctor either.

I have been 3 times and continued to have to go over the same information while Dr.Ali types the whole time but clearly isnt listening or reviewing her notes. There is never discussion of pain management or preventative measures like diet (reducing salt for inflammation) exercise etc. I am consistently told to just get another x-ray even though the first provided no information, consider injections, and begin alife of Tylenol every 8 hours. She is dismissive and does not listen.

Dr. Alis (rheumatologist) care personifies excellence in medicine! professional expertise and warm, friendly bedside manner. Dr. Ali possesses the rare combination of an extensive knowledge base, up-to-date technical expertise, and finely detailed diagnostic skills with a caring, compassionate, empathic presence and personality. Dr. Ali is passionate about caring for her patients’ needs from a holistic perspective, actively coordinating with other specialties involved in my medical care, keeping me as an equal partner in decision making. Dr. Ali always actively listens to my personal narrative of what has brought me to seek care and asks thoughtful, intelligent questions along the way. I feel heard and understood and at no point do I ever feel rushed while in her care. She is incredibly thorough in her physical examination all the while explaining to me what the physical exam tests and their findings mean in a way I can understand. I am grateful for Dr. Ali and her caring medical and front desk staff!

I came to this practice after dismissive treatment at another facility and honestly they were probably better. 2 stars bc she at least ordered labs/x-rays. Front desk staff were ok, not exceptional but not bad (in my experience). I have been seeing Dr. Lorenzo. She was not cold but not a warm person either. Definitely dismissive even after some abnormal labs. Scolded me for not wanting to take a certain a medication she prescribed that would likely make another condition I have worse (not taking the medication was decided with another physician who treats the other illness). I broke down and cried bc no one has been able to help me and I know something is wrong, she told me to just lose weight and exercise (great thing to tell a patient with a history of severe eating disorders). I asked if there were other things I could do for pain/symptoms as I am flaring seemingly every week or so and she assumed i was drug seeking and stated I would not receive opioids (I did not ask for such drugs and never have) I am relatively young and apparently even in this line of work youth equates to health. I know my body and I am not stupid. I can’t speak for other docs here but so far I would not recommend this practice. I know the docs and staff are busy and all but it hurts no one to have some compassion for your patients.

The front office staff/ receptionist were extremely rude and unprofessional. I have never been to a medical office that allowed so much disrespect to other staff and patients. The doctors and medical assistants were all very professional and friendly.

My first (and only) appointment with Dr. Ali was extremely disappointing and disturbing. Not only did she misdiagnose me, but she was the coldest physician I have ever encountered. I have never experienced anything like that before with a doctor in my life. When she entered the room, I immediately sensed her negative energy. She said a weak hello and went straight to the computer. I handed her notes I had typed about my symptoms and history, along with the five pages of information I was given to complete for the visit. She took the papers and put them down on the counter. She glanced at them maybe once throughout the visit. She was extremely cold and disinterested in anything I had to say. When she physically examined me, she stood far away and glanced me over. She could not be bothered with me. When I showed her an area of concern, she actually laughed and told me I was wrong. This area of concern was later diagnosed by a dermatologist as a serious condition. On a positive note, she and her assistant did reply in a timely manner to my requests for more information through the portal. Dr Ali made me feel small and unimportant, and she did nothing but add to the distress I was already experiencing. It is very upsetting that someone like her has put herself in a position to help people when clearly that is not at all what she aims to do as a doctor.

My experience with this facility was outstanding. The wait was under 10 minutes and I didnt feel like my appointment was rushed. From intake to walking out the door, the service was professional, efficient, and I felt taken care of. This last point is especially important to me; healthcare should be personal, thoughtful, and compassionate.Dr. Moe Zan was professional, took the time to explain what she was doing and her thought process, and actually listened to me and was patient. Her assistant, Rosie (sp?), was extremely helpful, efficient, and professional.Thank you!

The only reason Im not giving this practice 1 star, is because for a long time I felt very well cared for by Dr. George and all of the nurses and staff. Now the front desk staff are extremely unhelpful, rude at times, and Dr. Georges medical assistant hasnt answered the phone once. I used to be able to count on this doctor and his assistant to stay in touch, but for a year we have been constantly playing phone tag and its both exhausting and distressing because I often am calling for urgent matters such as medication refills and arthritis issues Im having. Even this week, I called promptly ahead of time to make sure I wouldnt run out of my medicine. And yet, he didnt pick up the phone when I called for authorization, didnt call back for going on three days, and now Im cutting it close with my medication. And this isnt the first time! I understand that especially during a pandemic, you will be busier with more health scares and issues from patients, but this kind of behaviour is inexcusable. I really appreciate all Dr. George has done for me over the years and I still respect him so much, I wish he could move to a different practice.

I had been seeing Dr Hawkins Holt for more than 10 years. She became curt, and seemed to have a cold bed side manner; her nursing assistant Jen is horrible. I complained about Jens inability to follow up after scans, meds refills etc and Dr Hawkins Holt had me call someone at the front desk. It became clear that she wasn’t worried about me or my illness. I left this horrible practice after 10 years. Look elsewhere as most of the good nurses are gone!

Please Please Please Save Yourself The Time & Do Not Come Here!!! DR.ALI is Horiible!!! Cold, Non-Caring Dr I Have Ever Met. Absolutely No Bedside Manner. Misdiagnosed Me Twice! & Downplayed My Pain & Care. So Disappointed & Confused To Why She Is Even A Doctor If This Is How She’s Gonna Treat Her Patients. Just Money Hungry & She Will Have You Going In Circles. No Sympathy Nor Empathy. Never Again, But I Should’ve Read The Reviews Beforehand Because Her Name Is All Through Here. Smh & Don’t Get Me Started On Her Other Staff. Like I Said, Go Somewhere Else Or You Will Regret It ...

As a health care provider, I am saddened by the substandard, culturally incompetent, and racist care I was provided here. I had a terrible experience with Dr. Thomas Lang. I was not heard and after being told by Dr. Lang that there was nothing wrong with me, I went to get a second opinion and was started on treatment for an autoimmune disorder by a physician who actually listens and actually cares about people being well. I know I was not heard or taken seriously here because of the color of my skin and medical studies all done with people who don’t look like me. You can tell simply by looking around the waiting room the population this office is intended to serve. I am glad I trusted my inner prompting, did not take Dr. Langs advice, and found a provider who actually listens and cares enough to take time and try to help rather than dismiss concerns. Additionally, the overall administration and operations at this office are substandard. I had to fill out a medical history twice, and was asked the same questions two weeks later by reception. They told me I never provided a medication or medical history, which I spent about 30 minutes completing during my first visit. Its extremely concerning and bordering on malpractice when a doctors office says they dont have pertinent information on file that is needed in order to have a full picture of the patient and make an accurate assessment. Finally, they sent me automated health education after my second visit about a condition I was told I do not have. Needless to say, I wont be returning here and suggest that if you are a person of color to stay far away from Dr. Lang.

I called asking for an appointment to treat such and such. Made appointment. Waited for, went to appointment and paid copay. Got diagnosed with such and such (which I had already been diagnosed with). Then told no one in their practice will treat me because they dont treat such and such unless you have something else as well. Why couldnt the front desk have told me that when I called? It was a waste of time and money and I left in just as much pain as I came in with.

I have been a patient of Dr. Hawkins-Holt for almost 6 years and am very grateful for her care. She always listens and addresses my concerns. I never feel like I have to prove my symptoms and pain. I also appreciate the nurses and staff, particularly in the infusion room. With all that comes with having RA, Im glad I dont have to be stressed by inadequate health care.

Dr. Lorenzo is a horrible doctor and I wouldnt recommend her to anyone. I wasted months with her, trying to figure out what was wrong with me. She was very cold to me and not sympathetic to my plight at all. I would literally leave her office crying out of frustration. The wait to be seen was long and her visits felt rushed. She absolutely did not care. It took me almost 5 days to get a prescription that was supposed to be sent the day I was seen. I found a wonderful Rheumotologist after leaving that practice who was more proactive, informative, and most of all very caring.

Extremely disappointed by Dr. Ali. I agree with other reviews that she is dismissive and she has poor bedside manner; very obvious she does not care about patient care. Filled out 5+ papers that she did not even glance at. After the entire visit was over she left, then came back to ask if the patient, my father, was diabetic. Had she glanced over the patients problem list and medications PRIOR to or even DURING the visit like any competent provider should, she would have known that he was diabetic.I am a medical provider myself and will not be referring any of my patients to her in the future.

My actual experience with my sons doctor was positive, but dealing with the front desk and trying to get a prescription renewed leaves me unable to write an overall positive review. My son saw Dr. Hawkins-Holt several times with no problems. She was always friendly and took care of him. However, we moved out of state, and I discovered my sons prescription had expired when I tried to have it sent over from his previous pharmacy. (I found him a new rheumatologist, but they had a waiting list, and his meds would be gone by the time of the appointment.)I called the office and left a message for Dr. Hawkins-Holts assistant, explaining the situation and emphasizing that my son only had a few tablets of medicine left. A couple days: nothing.I was worried I hadnt left the proper pharmacy info, so I called again and left another voicemail, specifying which pharmacy to send the meds to. Nothing.I called again and talked to someone at the front desk, but mid-conversation some sort of fire alarm went off and she had to go.I called again the next week and explained the situation to a front desk person and re-iterated that I had left several voicemails and needed to talk to someone directly. She said, okay, please hold and sent me to the voicemail of the assistant.I called again today and explained the situation AGAIN and emphasized that it was urgent and that he had run completely out of his meds. I reiterated that I had left several voicemails and needed to talk to someone directly and have the script renewed today. She put me on hold, and you can guess where I ended up. I honestly felt like bursting into tears.I recognize that this practice is very busy and we are not officially patients anymore, but this situation couldve been resolved within 5 minutes if someone wouldve just listened to me.

I was referred to this practice just this year and I have never, EVER called a doctors office and it ALWAYS goes to voicemail until being under their care. It doesnt matter what time of day it is. When the doctor says someone will followup with you, being that she called me to tell me my lab results were concerning and I needed to be referred to someone else for further testing, and I dont get a follow-up until 2 weeks later AFTER I called and left TWO voicemail messages. Right now all I need are my lab results to give to the specialist. What happens when Ive called FIVE times today? Voicemail. How can you run a medical practice and patients cant even get in touch with you when in need? Abysmal! Give me my results and Im DONE!

She said I have RA. I dont. My new Dr read the results she had gotten and I dont have RA! She waa cold and dismissve. She didnt even examine me. She stood across the room. She also didnt like the fact that I dont want to take osteoporosis drugs. My new Dr couldnt believe she didnt even touch me!

Once you get in to see the doctors, this is a wonderful practice. however, I have 2 serious issues: appointment times and follow-up phone calls. I know doctors often run late; however, at my last 2 appointments, I waited 45 minutes and 1 hour past my scheduled time. Also, I called 4 times in 2 days requesting a call-back but have not heard from the doctor yet. This is just unacceptable.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I am shocked and appalled at how I was treated on the phone by the lady at the front desk. I called to set up an initial appointment for my 5 year old daughter who has recently been losing her hair at an alarming rate, which was diagnosed by a dermatologist as alopecia (an auto immune disease). The dermatologist recommended we take my daughter to see a rheumatologist as so did her pediatrician. The woman on the phone was so rude and said “I don’t understand why you are calling here, Alopecia is not an auto immune disease and I even had to interrupt the doctor”. Are you kidding me?? First of all it most certainly is an auto immune disease and secondly I have never been treated so horribly when all I am trying to do is help my daughter. This practice needs to find a replacement for this woman ASAP!

The front desk and nurse is awesome. My first appt went great. My second appt however was completely opposite. After one blood draw, was told my lupus was in remission. Even though I constantly have heart problems, infections, skin rashes, random bruises.. etc. Was also told that lupus has nothing to do with my heart even though I was told by 2 different cardiologists that lupus is attacking my heart with labs and ultrasounds to prove it. Was also told that my sun sensitivity is because I am pale. I was born and spent 40 yrs in Tucson az, I didnt start having sun sensitivity until I was diagnosed with lupus 4 yrs ago. This Dr obviously knows nothing about lupus. I have switched Drs.
