Ive been a patient here for many years. The staff is ALWAYS kind and courteous. They recently added Chris A. to the Parklane Rd. team and I appreciate it. He brings a different type of energy to the office and I love it. Hes very patient, knowledgeable, courteous, empathetic, friendly, and down-right funny. Please keep him at this location!

Had a wonderful experience at the eye doctor today. Dr. McClay has my eye doctor for many years. Always thorough exam and explaining all the details of the x-ray. Had the best time picking out new glasses. Can’t wait to get my sassy new look.

Always nice and friendly. They have a good selection of prescription glass and sun glasses. Always professional and will work with you if they dont have the frame or style you like. Definitely recommend!

Nice facility, helpful staff to explain the different options in frame selection and insurance co-pay amounts. The Doctor took her time with us and explain everything thoroughly. We didnt feel any sales pressure afterthe exam to purchase frames from them.

My doctor is so wonderful omg! The lady who did my other exams were nice too. Excuse me but I don’t know the lingo! The lady who did all of the pre things before the doctor came in was great as well! I love it there. Check out was a breeze as well. Quiet setting.

I dont understand why any business would double book appointments. Why was I not informed of this when I was contacted to confirm my appointment a day before? Total waste of my time and I will find another optometrist office that values their patients time. It would also be nice if they inform you of their new location when confirming your appointment.

I have been going to Apex eye care for 5 years. They have great customer service. I feel Dr. McClay explains everything he is doing and answers all my questions. He is very thorough. Selecting glasses is always fun with a wide variety to choose from. I would recommend Apex Eyecare for your eye needs.

The doctor and front desk desk staff are great. Very professional. My family and I have been coming to this eye care center for nine years for our annual exam, and I’ve never experienced what I experienced recently. I am very disappointed that I was NOT made aware in advance of an out of pocket expense for my husband and I to have a retina test that we have had for free for 8 years. In talking with the site manager Shana, she was very rude in telling me that it is their “standard of care”. I understand that, but I should have been given the option to accept that care or not!!! I have called four times since speaking to Shana, as I have requested to speak to either the Regional or District manager about my concerns. It’s been almost three weeks now with no return phone call. My experience with the Manager, Shana, and the fact that in almost three weeks no return call regarding my concern - 1Star!!!

Their equipment is up to date. Ive never seen equipment like the ones that they have, which allowed for more accuracy. The doctor immediately did a contact lense fitting. However he did not inform me that there is an additional fee for the contact lense fitting. If I wouldve known that, then I wouldve declined and requested just an exam for glasses. The entire staff were pleasant and friendly.

The staff has worked diligently to identify an issues with my fathers eye exam not being recognized by the DMV in order to obtain a renewal on his license. Trying to get the doctor to stop long enough to correct his name on the paperwork and resubmit it has been high unsuccessful.

Both my wife and I were seen by Dr. McClay and his staff. Everyone was very nice. The eye exams were fast and easy. My wife got bifocal contacts too. She did not have any problems putting or removing them. The contacts are working just fine and she’s very happy now. And I am happy too.

Staff was great. THE Doctor was RUDE AND DIFFICULT TO COMMUNICATE WITH after prescription came back to strong in glasses and contact. We go into an argument about his bad attitude towards me expressing difficulty seeing in his prescription. One prescription contact was to strong he changed but when glasses came back refused to change. Said I would never see clearly. I went to another doctor and prescriptions were to strong, the new doctor gave me a new prescription and I see perfectly.

Ive come here for the past couple of years and have had a great experience every time. Takes about 30 minutes to go through my exam and get my contacts ordered. The staff are polite and professional. Dr. McClay is great, hes easy to talk to and cares about his patients.

My wife and I went late in the afternoon and they were still upbeat and worked quickly. One of the best optometrist visits I ever had!

My visit was great as always. I thought I had annual appointment but turned out I didnt. I told the reception clerk (sorry I dont remember your name) about my issue I was having with my glasses. The clerk pulled my information and seen my glasses was still under warranty. She put a replacement order in and show me the itemized receipt if I didnt have the warranty. Saved me over $200 I told the clerk thanks and she gave me a pleasant experience.

**warning- graphic picture. Horrible experience. I was charged for services I was not told about before they were done. If its not covered by insurance, you need to let a patient know beforehand. I was not told I was going to be dilated. The doctor put whitening drops in my eyes without telling me first or asking if it was okay. Luckily I had my sunglasses and was able to drive back to work. But because I was dilated, it made work very difficult the rest of the day. And the doctor barely looked in my eyes after putting the drops in.Then, the doctor put my contacts in for me. He didnt ask. Didnt give me the opportunity to put them in myself. My first thought was why is he putting his fingers in my eyes? Then I worried about whether or not his hands were sanitary. I brushed it off because hes a doctor. Surely he washed his hands. But I should have listened to my instincts. He wasnt wearing gloves, and I didnt see him wash his hands. Two days later my eyes felt a bit off. The day after that, I developed an eye infection.I saw a regular doctor because it was the weekend, who gave me antibiotic drops. My eyes got worse. Swelling to the point I could barely open them. And then a bubble formed on my eyeball. Like a blister. So I went to a different optometrist. He did a very thorough exam, and saw signs of both bacterial and viral infections. I had to be prescribed a whole different eye drop. One that was antibiotic and steroid for the swelling.My eyes are finally starting to make improvements. But I want to point out I have been wearing contacts for 21 years. I never touch my contacts without thoroughly scrubbing my hands first. I do tend to wear them more days than I should, but I absolutely do clean them nightly. I have never had an eye infection before this. I am OCD about the care of my contacts. And this is why. I am beyond angry. This is days of pain and misery. Unexpected costs of the exam on top of added costs of two doctor visits and two medications. The staff is great. The doctor was horrible. 0 out of 5 stars. Will never go back.

In the past they were great. Im not sure what has happened but the service is horrible. My prescription was incorrect 4/21 and I was charged incorrectly. Ill be looking for a new office for my future visits. Im still waiting on my correct glasses to come in!

I hate going to the eye doctor and usually end up having a 2-3 star experience. While still not an activity I would actively seek, Im glad to have found Apex Eyecare. The prices were reasonable and the service was excellent. Key for me was that the doctor didnt rush me and made me feel very comfortable with the process which helped us dial in on finding the best lense prescription possible. Highly recommended. You might google up on whether the glare coating is worth getting.

Worst eye vision clinic ever ever.Due to my safety glass missing, I need to a replacement asap. I was told it takes 2-3 weeks to receive the glasses. After 2 weeks, I made a call and then they said it takes 2-4 weeks. For safety issue, I call them every 3days to check out the status and drove their store every weekend.This week will be the fouth week and I did not get yet. They said their lab is mounting on the frame and take 3-5 days to arrive here by USP ground.Do they care about their patient? I do not think so. Whatever I asked them to expedite the process, their answer is nagative. This is very very very frustrate place ever I meet.I will also report my experience hopefully to other places but please avoid this place.

Worst optometrist and eye vision clinic ever ever. Think Twice before you go there. They show absolutely no care for their patients and all they want is to finish the exam quickly and send you to their glass department so they can make more money. After the nurse did all the routine, my eye exam with the optometrist only lasted 5 min including pupil dilation and my prescription was ready. I have had eye exam before never one was like this and I even doubt if this is legit...Even worse, I had a black eye due to basketball playing when I visited but NO ONE ever ever asked what happened to my eye - THEY HAVE been examining my eyes all time and no one including the optometrist ever asked. I had my dentist the same day and the first thing my dentist asked was my eye and I had my ENT appt the second day and the first thing she asked was also my eye because they show they care.Apex, of course I never brought up I need any attention to my black eye, but as a health provider and vision center show some care! It is hard to believe you truly care your patient in this way...I will also report my experience hopefully to other places but please avoid this place.
