Dr Fowble is a very good doctor. I appreciate that he doesnt consider surgery unless absolutely necessary. I saw a doctor at Lexington whos first reaction was hip replacement surgery. Dr Fowble examined me and said that is not necessary. After a few hip injections, my pain is almost completely gone and Im able to handle spinning exercises. He is a credit to the medical profession. If I ever do require any type of orthopedic help again, he will be my first choice. 😄

I could tell immediately after I had my procedure done there was a difference in my hip!!! I would highly recommend Dr. Fowble and his staff for anyone needing a Hip Replacement surgery. The team that was at the Surgery Center.... AWESOME. I’m going to tell you I have been going to the hospital for numerous surgeries but this by far was the BEST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! If I could give ten stars I would. He is very confident and his work proved it. My physical therapist told me I am doing excellent compared to the number of hip replacement clients he has worked with.. I’m thrilled!!!

I had a total hip replacement on my left side two years ago November 27. I recovered in about four weeks and was able to go back to work lifting heavy doors and hardware and working as normal. My hip is as good as it ever was, maybe better, no pain at all. I let myself suffer for too long. I should’ve had the surgery five years ago.

I am a 53 year old active male who enjoys cycling and running but was to the point I could not run and was unable to sleep due to hip pain. Dr. Fowble performed conservative hip replacement (resurfacing) on my left hip in May and on my right hip in July. I am quite pleased with the results and look forward to returning to full sports activities in January. I would most definitiely recommend Dr. Fowble as he seems very knowledgeable and skilled in the hip resurfacing field and I had no worries or doubts flying in from out of state that I made the right decision. I have always been treated outstanding at Midlands Orthopedic! I needed to see Dr Fowble due to falling and within two hours I was in his office. I never expected to get in that soon. Another outstanding service! All the office staff were so friendly and helpful! Last but definitely not least, Dr Fowble was great! I have been seeing him for over 15 years and he had replaced 2 knees, repaired a rotor cuff and more. He is always do friendly, shares his knowledge, and does outstanding work. I have been a patient of Midlands Orthopedics for more than 30 years for a variety of health issues. I have great trust in the practice and even though I had never been treated by Doctor Fowble I have been very pleased with how my hip replacement surgery has gone. From Pre-Op, to the surgery itself to the follow up, everything has gone as good as I could have hoped for. With the technique of anterior hip replacement my recovery time was reduced and with taking caution I was up and walking within a day or so, needed a walker and cane for just a few days and 16 days after my surgery I am able to do some of my normal activities with caution. Three days after surgery, while still sore, I had a very low level of pain. And with the procedure being outpatient, after reporting for surgery at 6:00AM, I was home a little after 2:00 the same day thus not having to be in the hospital. Everyone on the team that treated me were terrific in doing their jobs.

Dr Fowable discovered my hip had a vascular necrosis and did a hip resurfacing 8 years ago. I was one of the youngest patients that had to have hip surgery. He is a caring doctor and will do everything possible to make it right.

Dr. Fowble is a great person as well as a doctor. He explained the issue that I’m having and he genuinely wants what’s best for you. He knows his profession and his patients. Most importantly he’s honest. I’m glad that he’s my doctor!

The staff was very friendly and helpful. They all interacted well with my children. Dr. Fowble didn’t let it bother him when my 2yo was screaming. Overall I was very pleased. They weren’t busy either so the visit went quick.

If you are experiencing difficulties in performing your normal activities due to hip and joint pain I strongly recommend Dr. Coleman D. Fowble as your orthopedic doctor. Dr. Fowble is easy to talk to, he listens to your concerns and is not quick to recommend surgery but will offer other alternates to ease your discomfort.I have suffered with pain in my right and left hips since 2014. I am an active person and the pain I was experiencing resulted in me not being able to attend my Zumba classes in 2016 and in 2018 I stopped attending my aerobic classes. My only activity was walking.After following Dr. Fowbles advice with minimum result, I finally decided to have total hip replacement surgery; my right hip November 2019 and my left hip March 2020. Since my surgeries Im a new woman. Im feeling fabulous. If you are experiencing discomfort in your hips, I strongly suggest you setup a consultation appointment with Dr. Fowble. I will only go to Midlands Orthopedics..I have been going to them for over 25 years..Dr C. Fowble has been taking care of my joints & did repair of my hip where my femur was slipping out of my socket..I was in agony..very few doctors are do this procedure..Now he has to repair my left since it is just worn out! I would not let anyone else do this surgery!..Dr Green has repaired several broken arms and Dr Rambo cured my foot drop..My spine was pinching nerves in my back! I hugging recommend them for your ortho & neuro care...Oh by the way..I did not mention that I am a nurse and have been certified in orthopaedic care..I also was the nurse manager for 8 years and worked with this group who was only on the floor!

Dr. Fowble did an excellent job with my total hip replacement. I am now six weeks after the surgery and able to do almost everything without noticing my hip. I’m able to climb and descend stairs easily, and I can easily put on my left sock and shoe - I couldn’t reach my foot prior to the surgery. The surgical scar is neat, and only about 4” long. Dr. Fowble is a nice person, who listens carefully to concerns.Dr. Fowble ordered three home nurse visits after the surgery, over three weeks, which was perfect. The home health nurses were extremely helpful in my recuperation. He then ordered PT, which has also been very helpful. I have also had good support from his nurse Katie, whom I have emailed on the Patient Portal when I had questions. Katie has been very prompt and helpful in responding.
