Yall, seriously. Dont do it. Unless you plan to spend the entire day at the office. Staff says that they are on a first come, first serve basis regardless of appointments. Only thing you see is Mcclerklin running around like a hamster in a wheel. Not really doing anything. The office needs a deep cleaning, new furniture, paint, and its super tiny. I understand if patients dont have a choice because apparently shes the only one that takes medicaid. But, if you have a choice.. Dont do it.

If I could give it a negative stars I would. Both visits took over 2 hours. The second visit everyone waited ( me personally 2 hours before even going in a room) due to them not scheduling appointments correctly. Someone had a surgery and they didn’t schedule people out far enough so everyone was waiting. Only one doctor working for all the patient

If you are referred to this office please DO NOT GO! Ive had 3 office visits after the 1st I asked my primary doctor to refer me somewhere else. I took off of work to come in and the doctor ran from room to room. My appointment was at 8 I was out by 8:20. She came in was very short with me. She cut me off when talking and prescribed me antibiotics Ive already had. My last appointment was june or july I was suppose to be getting weekly shots. I was told it would have to be preapproved, I had to answer all incoming calls, and once approved everything would be sent to my home for me to administer. I havent heard or gotten anything yet. I followed up in August the person that answered stated they would let the person who sends in the request know and have her call me. Its October and I still havent heard anything. The older lady in there makes my blood boil every time Im there she is not a people person at all and definitely shouldnt be working in healthcare.

I was very hesitant to go to my appointment after reading all of the negative reviews, but I also didnt want to wait another few months to find a dermatologist. I was surprised to find that the office was nothing like the reviews claimed. I liked Dr McClerkin, and most of her staff was polite enough. Everything was clean with little clutter. I appreciate that she didnt want to hack away at every spot she saw like some other dermatologists Ive seen. She was nice and chatted with me to keep my mind off of what she needed to do.

Called them to follow up on my referral that was sent to them in September. My primary care told me they sent it in September and resent it again today. Called this office and had to call 5 times to get a answer. The lady didn’t have any customer service skills. Told me that they are the only medical office that takes Medicaid in SC and they have 2,000 referrals a day. I then replied well it’s been since September since it was sent. I said well what has taken so long and she said they’ve been closed due to covid, which to my knowledge everything has been open since June maybe even July of 2020 so I find that hard to believe. I then told her if I can make appointment and she said one minute and hung up on me. People do have skin cancer out here and other issues that people need taken care of!!!! Don’t waste your time here. If you have Medicaid you are better off going else where and paying out of pocket!!

When she first opened here in Columbia SC she was AWESOME. but now she just runs around for the money not the care

AVOID AVOID AVOID.Have tried scheduling an appt for months and months. Noone would ever answer the phone in their office. Finally get one through referrals at my primary care provider. Took over an hour to get here. Walk in for my appointment and am told The Doctor had an emergency and is out, you have to reschedule. Call to reschedule your appointment. At this moment, Im standing inside of their office. Leave and go to my car. Im disabled, and have extremely difficulty walking/getting around. Tried to call x3 times in the parking lot to reschedule. Surprise, NO answer.This place is a joke.Again AVOID AVOID AVOID save yourself a headache and go elsewhere to actually get your skin condition treated.For McClerklin office itself. Ignoring phone calls is gonna kill your business. Its also a GREAT practice to call scheduled appointments and inform them of cancellations, ASAP. But again, noone seems to know how to work a phone there. You can find proper training for all of this.Reading back through the reviews, it seems any occasional positive reviews are just damage control, as they target & reference specific negative reviews.Dr. McClerklin. Never got to meet you, but no matter how good of a medical professional you are, at your practice, your staff being undertrained, unreliable, rude, and not answering the phones, will run your medical practice straight into the ground, no matter how good you possibly are.

The staff can be a bit much, you will have a long wait, its not the newest building, but Dr. McClerklin is amazing. She is quick, direct, and to the point. Be ready with a few questions and pay attention. She is not a doctor that will baby you, she will stick to the facts, and be in-and-out the room within 5 minutes. But if you follow her advice you will be pleased with the results. I saw 2 doctors prior to her, she was the only one who could give me a proper diagnosis. I work in the medical field and would definitely recommend her.

Horrible experience!!! Run from this place. Its been 2mnths and I still dont have my prescription and no one will ever answer the phone. I really dont think they even care to improve the quality of the service. The Dr. was really nice and helpful, maybe its her staff and she needs to fire all of them. You dont give people this kind of service. I still have an untreated skin condition. Really didnt want to post this, but its only fair to the next person.

My sister went Dr. MCCLERKLIN Sept 23 2021 and had the must worst experience. Mcclerklin talk to her very disrespectful and her tone when she first walk in the door...My sister was in tears as she walk out the door. I wish it was someone I could talk to about this . I call her office to call me never received a call

I took my son today who is 24 with Down Syndrome and the office manager or whomever she was preceded to verbally attack me while signing in that I didn’t have a mask to which I replied I don’t but if you have one me and my son will wear one. She said they did not have any and preceded to make me wait in the car, I look at the waiting room and like 6 people were also not wearing masks. She was loud and she attempted to humiliate me and my son. After waiting in car for 45 minutes I determined that this was not an office that I ever wanted to go to again. We left and will go elsewhere. Btw, they also never said you need a mask when I made the appointment.

As of right now August 5, 2021, 1624, Ive been waiting for 1.5 hours to see the doctor. My appointment was at 3pmI got here at 245pm. I had a referral to Savanah but noooo I said let me come here since Im right in Columbia. I think I will call Tricare and have the rest ofthese office visits canceled. Will post again after I see doctor.

I Contacted this office to schedule an appointment for my daughter. They gave me an appointment for Wednesday, June 2 at 9 AM at the Florence South Carolina location. We arrived a few minutes early to find that the building was locked and the lights were off. If there was an issue with this appointment at the Florence South Carolina location I should have received a courtesy call and reschedule for another date or another location. I lost time away from work and my daughter missed a day of school for this appointment This is unlike Dr. McClerkin and all our past visits. To reach her office is impossible unless you know someone who lives in the area and can go there and physically speak to one of her staff members.I am very disappointed in Dr. McClerkin and her staff for not even informing me that she was not going to be at the Florence South Carolina location. Something needs to be done and if someone can recommend a good dermatologist, who will actually be in the office and provide the service I need for my daughter’s eczema.

Terrible place, its the worse place....Im not recommended this place for nobody!! We wait a lot, eveything dirty, the dr doesnt even looks like a dr, there is not organization, the most worst place for to be clinic..... some day the health authority has to come here!

The worst doctors office on this planet, you will get sick trying to get your skin checked as my husband said. I have no clue where to start from to complain about but one thing for sure I will be reporting that place to Health Department. First off they horrible with phones, we were running late because I had to unexpectedly take care of something with husband in wheelchair so I called to let them know, first call someone answered and said please hold, that hold turned into 15 min wait so I hung up and after blowing up their phone 25 times a young lady answered and after I explained the situation she said no problem just come on in. We got there an hour after our appointment. Secondly, the office is not handicap accessible at all, no parking spot reserved for handicap, and the so called narrow path that goes to the back of the office not safe, definitely not an accessible path, a trash can and the bushes was blocking the way, I had to push the trash can. Inside office no space for him at all not even the waiting room area he wasn’t able to get through the doors so they put us in one storage room area supposed to be a patient room. It was dirty, full of boxes and chairs and even a ladder was in there, I had to rearrange the chairs for my husband to fit in. The nurse said “we will always find you a spot” but we wasnt expecting a storage room. It was 1pm and we were told that they go on break from 1-2pm but how because when we arrived at 12:30 that place smelled like a kitchen, and the staff was already eating at the break room. Let me not start about the staff because they are very rude, the ones who didn’t know about our situation and why we were late made a very rude comment and said “bye bye “ and walked out the door after telling us to return after 2pm. All the staff 4 of them but 2 stayed in and very upset about being left behind by the others. One nurse asked Dr Patricia if she was going to see us but Dr Patricia didn’t want to bother she was ready to join her staff herself. We decided just to leave and will never return.We were looking at the other reviews on here and honestly Dr Patricia should be the main person to read what people think about her practice and not ignore the fact that she just running a practice to collect money. Ma’am you are over 60 and your place of practice definitely shows that you don’t care any more but just there to collect money. This Dr was referred by our internal medicine doctor but I guess maybe once Dr Patricia cared about her practice?! Maybe! It’s very nasty in there and could use a through deep cleaning. I can’t believe with Covid Dr Patricia thinks it’s acceptable to run a practice that filthy. Overall it’s sad experience. Please STAY AWAY !

I love this dr office. Dr mcclerklin is wonderful she is very nice and explains what she is about to do. And works hard to get you feeling great in your own skin. I love how she is very understanding and explains things in a way you understand. And very patient as well great job!!

Where do I begin.....I have been calling for 2weeks trying to cancel an appointment and no answer...voicemails full... then tried to email...email rejected. Anyway I was canceling bc my experience was very unprofessional. Had a 8am appointment but wasn’t seen until 915am... when the dr finally comes in the room she was about to touch my face with bare unwashed hands. She rushed the visit and just prescribed me meds which I didn’t even pick up. I don’t recommend taking a dead skunk to them! I suggest they close down for a few months and get customer service training.

I was expecting to walk into a hot mess based on these reviews. That was not the case. I had a morning appointment and waited almost 40mins before being called back (no problem), there were 3 people ahead of me. One of the reviewers said she didnt even look like a doctor, lol! Its true, she had on her regular clothes and jeans at that but so what! Let me just say, Dr. McClerkin is absolutely amazing! I have been using the same meds and also shampoo prescribed by different dermatologists for a while and I just figured there was no fixing this problem but let me tell you, this Doc prescribed me some meds that worked immediately, and I couldnt even believe it. I even have a skin condition that is verrrry rare and she knew exactly what it was and the meds for that even worked better than the ones I have tried in the past. I showed her the meds I was on and she asked if certain ones were working, ones that had nothing to do with dermatology, and I said no so she prescribed me a different medication for that and Lord!!! Im glad I found her and glad I went despite the reviews. She is quick, straight to the point and I was in the exam room no longer than 5 minutes but she has been doing this for over 30 years and this is her practice SOLO, she has 2 offices to run, so if you have to wait a little longer or feel a certain type of way about the staff (which I think are all really good friends or related because they act like family) please be patient and give Dr. McClerkin a try because she is the best!!

Went in because I’ve been having complications with my skin and the derm doctor was so rude, dismissive, and she even laughed when I was answering her question. When we started she asked what was going on and when I started to tell her she cut me off instead of letting me finish. I will not be going back here

If I could I would give this practice a zero!!!No one knows how to bill insurance or better yetCall the insurance. Uneducated women sitting in front office with only one phone with all lights blinking, not knowing how to answer the calls. I see why this is a private practice. This practice deserved to get a low report.A hood ran practice. So sad that when I went inside everything was dirty and not sanitary. I was hesitant walking up the steps....if your intuition tells you something is not right believe it. Awful awful experience. Never get my money. If you value your health stay from this practice.

I wish I could give them no stars. I came 10:50am for my appointment at 11:10am , I didn’t get called to the back until 12:40pm the doctor didn’t come to the back until 12:56pm she asked why I’m here as soon as I said acne (didn’t even let me finish saying what else ) she asked how old I was I told she said my insurance doesn’t cover for that , so I sat there all that time waiting just to be turned around . They need to do better !

This place is beyond RACHET. The doctor and the staff is so rude! The state needs to private investagate this place they would definitely be shut down. Lost a days work for nothing the doctor came in the room and left back out and never came back in so we got up and walked out. I would not reccomend this place to anyone!

I read the reviews and I agree on one thing “ the place is old” . My first experience with the staff was excellent. I have a rash that’s was popping up all over my body. I felt like someone was rubbing sandpaper over my skin while I was covered in fire. I went to my Dr. she gave me antibiotics and cream I was fine for a few days then I was back to being in pain snd covered in more rashes. So I went to the emergency room, one Dr. came in couldn’t figure out what was going on. So she sent another Dr. in , same thing. Then in walk all 3 Dr. same thing. One of the Drs kept saying over snd over was “ this is unusual “. He prescribed me a steroid pack and said “ I hope this works”. I was discharged snd told to seek a Dermatologist bcse they had no clue what was going on. My discharge papers said I was treat for rash and unknown skin eruption. I chose this Dr bcse she was black and I thought maybe she would understand my skin type better. I went there filled out paperwork the Dr came In with her assistant and we chatted about her dog for a few . She asked me a few questions looked at the rash and within 5 mins told me what I had. The last Dr. in the Er was correct about the steroids bcse it stopped the burning and pain but he still didn’t know what was going on. . Dr. McClerkin not only told me what was going on with my body, she also gave me a crash course of this type of rash. Although there is no cure for this type of rash and not much know about it the Dr gave me the correct medication to help with the healing process. Don’t let these reviews keep you from a Dr . Who know about about your skin. I read the reviews and I still took a chance and with Gods help I made the right choice. Although my rash is talking longer to clear up than usual it wasn’t a surprise bcse of my crash course and my research I knew it was a possibility. I will voice my opinion on how the office looks but anything else as far as staff and the Dr knowing her stuff, I have no complaints. The only reason why I didn’t give 5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Is bcse they can and should do better by the office.

The Dr is sweet , the staff is very unorganized. The building in columbia was very dirty the lobby had stains all over the seats and patient room number 4 was a Horror story .all the upholstery wasissing off the exam chair.amd was covered with a sheet of paper.it looked like it was 4 years to late of being put in a dumpster. The sterile surgical packets had brown spots all over like looked real nasty. When question they said they were clean dit worry about that..

The office and exam rooms were filthy. The exam table was torn up and looked to be about 50 years old.. The walls were even gross.. The staff was rude and the doctor walked out of the room 3 times while in mid conversation. I wouldnt take my dog to that place. ZERO STARS

The office is very bare and dirty. It needs to be painted. There is nothing at all inviting about the place. The nurse that came in to my room never told me who she was & didn’t have a name tag. So I didn’t know if she was a doctor, nurse or maid. The staff won’t answer the phone & there isn’t a voicemail to leave a message. So I have been waiting on test results and I live an hour away from the office or I would just drive there! I am very disappointed and won’t be going back! I am also still waiting to see if the mole they removed is cancerous or not!!!

This doctor is very rude! All she did is asked me about what insurance I had, She did not give me a chance to state why I was in the office. She assumed it was acne and I was there for a RASH on my face which she said was eczema. I will NEVER return to her office. Her staff was very friendly but she was not.

I was referred by my primary care physician, who I trust. However, I have called both offices for the last two weeks and have been unsuccessful in getting an appointment, speaking with anyone nor leaving a message. After reading the reviews of others, I have decided to look else where. If not being able to make an appointment is any indication of the type of service I would receive, then it’s not looking good. And although I would really like to support my African-American sister, thanks, but no thanks!

I had a 230p appointment and as I type this review it is now 409pm! She came in for 2 sec. only to leave right back out again to do something else. This was my second time coming here trying to give her the benefit of the doubt that the same horrible service I received 15 years ago had gotten better, but it hasnt. Its not worth your time or your co pay. Find another dermatologist!!! Im surprised she is still in business...

I advise you that if you can look for another clinic, do so. I have very bad experiences with this clinic. It is normal to feel frustrated that is how I felt and I feel. To be brief, my 7-year-old girl had consequences of a bad work that without counting the bad attention of this place ... the first day they almost closed with us inside waiting for the doctor that without counting the bad treatment of the doctor did not let me speak or explain the situation of my daughter was like a Badly educated robot without a treatment towards the patient. My advice, if you can, get out of there.

I would not recommend this place to anyone!! I took my daughter to have a wart examined. We were there for over 2 hours before being seen. Once we made it to the back we were there for another hour before she ever stepped in the room. She proceeded to use an expired bottle of numbing agent and cut the wart off of her leg without gloves and without using sterile instruments. As she removed it, it fell to the floor WHERE SHE LEFT IT!!! When I made a comment about it she acted like it was fine. It was the worst experience I have ever had with a doctor. She shouldn’t be allowed to continue practicing. Her office should be shut down due to the filth and negligence!!

My fiancee had a appointment twice here. Both times we drove a hour in a half and both times they never opened. Apparently they have so many bad claims against them. Never get anyone to answer the phone. The two times Ive got someone to answer they were rude. If you are closed you should reach out to your patients and let them know. This place is a disgrace and I hope there business closes down permanently

They got my skin right i havent been back in a few months and i stopped using my cream and my skin is still clear. it does take almost two hours for them to get you in but when they do your out fast

My husband have went to three different dermatologist none of whom was able to give him a correct diagnosis .when he came into this dermatologist the staff was very very awesome ,doctor McClerklin treated him with so much respect she didnt make any assumptions. she was very accurate with diagnosis she showed him pictures in a book, she did a biopsy and confirmed diagnosis. I really just cant say anything bad about his experience awesome!!! I would highly recommend her to anyone who is dealing with any skin issues👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾😄

Excellent all around!It’s sad to see all of these negative reviews citing “need new paint” like what does not liking the color of the walls have to do with someone taking care of your skin?Even saw a comment that the Dr. doesn’t “look like a doctor”???? What kind of complaint is that? What does that even mean?And people saying long wait times and hard to get on the phone? All of these comments have been made since COVID started.Of course wait times are gonna be longer, everything is longer.They can’t be blamed for a world wide pandemic.Yes I’ve waited longer than expected sometimes, in person or on the phone, but that’s not on them at all.They are super courteous and clean, and take COVID very seriously with temp at the door and sanitizer where needed etc...Everyone has been a PLEASURE to deal with from the the person I made the appt with, to the wonderful women at the front desk, to the Dr. all the way to the nice lady I check out with.I hope they know they are wonderful and help so many people.I’ve been here 4 times and will continue coming back to them, any time I need anything.Thank you very much all of you!

The service at this office is horrible I had an appointment at 8am and was not put back in a room until 10am the it took another hour just to be seen. The staff is nonchalant and like to over-talk you when they no longer want to hear what you have to say especially Mrs.Karen. This visit was my worst experience yet.

I urge you... Travel further, do more research, or just wait until you can find a better doctor to see. This is especially if you have keloids. She is extremely rough, drive thru services, shabby office, and I didnt stand a chance of a better outcome because she left my treatment at a standstill instead of referring me elsewhere knowing everything was time sensitive. Like you, I read the reviews and went anyway out of desperation. DONT. Her staff is very nice though and they seem to try and make up for everything else they know is wrong. Stay far away.

My appointment was at noon on a Wednesday, at 2:30 was still waiting for my turn. Asked about my appointment and was told that the office goes by first come first served. This was the most unorganized office I have ever been in.

She is awesome and friendly. She took her time and discussed the concerns regarding my son. Her suggestions worked. Now my daughter getting great care as well.

My 9 year old son was referred to these people for his skin condition on his hands. They NEVER pick up the phone and the voicemails are full . We was trying to get in touch with them for nearly a month. I had to end up taking my baby all the way to MUSC in Charleston. They need to do better

The staff is not knowledgeable at all about anything in this doctors office, from insurance to making appointments etc. I talked Karen and she told me i had get certain things from my insurance and had call her back and gave me her personal phone number. The day of the appointment the office had no idea about my appointment or insurance info. Usually the doctors office takes care of insurance and authorization. Please dont go to this office

Terrible, the wait was awful and the place is very unsanitary. I went here with my sister and let’s just say the place looks like a run down church. You would think they would look at the reviews and change some things up but it really looks unsanitary and not a safe place for skin and laser. There is food on the floor and seats, dirty chairs, and doctor does not make things speedy. I wish she had more help in this facility. If there is another option please try to talk to your doctor and see if they could recommend you somewhere else, will not be coming back here.

Waited two months for an appointment drove an hour to get their appointment was at 10:30 I wasn’t seen until 12:30 one particular receptionist was very rude as I was explaining to her my phone didn’t have much service and was making sure they haven’t called my name after 2 hours of waiting I was told to sit in a separate room by doctor and then One receptionist proceeded to ask did I not have a car to sit in very rude and unprofessional I had read all the reviews which weren’t good at all but In desperation for skin condition I went anyway . After biopsy I’ve waited 3 1/2 weeks which I was told only takes1-2 weeks I haven’t received not one phone call about my results so I’ve called this office 15 times in the last two weeks and always says I’ve reached after hours and I call in between 8-5 which their supposed to be open just please read reviews and take into consideration what people are saying ......unlike me lesson learned

Do not recommend was there for 3 hours! Appointment was 1045 didn’t get to the back till 1230 then still had to wait another 30 minutes for her to come in the room. She doesn’t even do a full examination of what ever you have going on. She just glance at you and writes a prescription. Do not recommend and will not return

Had my first visit today and it was very busy and the wait was very long. Frank was very professional and kind. He calmed me down just with his kind words. He works very hard and everyone in the office keeps him busy every min of the hour but he remains calm and makes every frustrated customer I seen him check out out smile after leaving his office. He makes the visit so much better. Thank you Frank for being ..you. Great customer service!

Do not recommend. Tried to cheat me out of an insurance refund by not notifying me about it and refusing to mail it. Spend your money elsewhere, let these clowns go out of business. Maybe whoever replaces them will be both competent and fair. A lot to ask these days...

The unprofessionalism I experienced today was extremely sad. My appointment was at 8:30 I wasn’t seen until 11:20. I wanted to give the doctor a chance however I should’ve listened to the reviews From google. I just ended up walking out. No one ever contacted me for a referral that was supposed to be done last week. After calling the office today the referral was never made. Not only did I not receive treatment my results from my biopsy were hard to believe. The confusion and un organization going on in this place should be reported so that everyone can get trained all over. I will never go back to this office.

Dr McClerklin is the BEST !!! She knows her stuff , my son had the worst case of Eczema. None of the Doctors I worked with had any idea what is was until I saw her ... Shes AWESOME !!!

I have been going to Dr. McClerklin for years and I must say she is an excellent Dr and I found her to be very friendly as well. For many years before seeing her, I had been to a few others. None was as effective or explanatory about the diagnosis and treatment plan.Be advised that the wait time can be long and the patient traffic high. The Columbia office is tight (especially in the hallways) and the waiting rooms tend to overflow but note that the space is currently being remodeled. She is certainly worth the wait.I find the staff helpful and pleasant, though the patient volume does seem to have an effect. They are about the business 1st but they take care of you.Bottom line- a great doctor in need of an improved space.

1st appointment and it went very well. Ms Karen and Dr McClerklin took care of my needs. The wait time wasnt long at all and I was in and out. Would recommend to anyone.

Staff is VERY unprofessional. I’ve tried calling SEVERAL times about the medicine my daughter is taking and I ALWAYS get placed on hold and then they’ll hang up the phone. Tried calling again only to be placed on hold and then they’ll hang up. I wouldn’t advise nor refer NO ONE not even my worse enemy to them!!

If could give this place a negative star I would! Let’s see here got there and was given new patient paperwork to fill out. Flipping through pages to and there goes another patients test results! I mean right there! I immediately flew hot! I work in the health field and went straight to the window and the girl up from acted as if it was no big deal!! Then we get called back. The doctor flew in and out within 2 minutes. Put what she called “beetle juice” on my daughters legs and of course my daughter being small asked if it burned she got snappy with her! The nurse we had was very very pleasant! Then we go to check out and as any check out at a doctors office I assume you give them your power, pay and leave. Well not with this one. You literally have to sit in another waiting area forever and wait to be checked out! I finally get called to be checked out and he guy picked a pharmacy to send my daughters medicine too!!! Didn’t ask me where are pharmacy was, just chose one for us and when I told him we don’t use that pharmacy or even stay anywhere near here he made the comment that he had to delete everything and start over!! Bottom line is I wouldn’t refer my worst enemy here!! This place needs some professionalism and way more than that!!! Horrible!!!

Great physician. Very knowledgeable and dependable. The wait is a bit long, but she is the only dermatologist that can see you within weeks instead of months. This is important because I needed a dermatologist immediately.

Visited her Columbia office once, and didn’t see her..My concerns were handed to her from afar.I personally felt out of place.Having trying to establish a relationship to correct my issues, I needed to see the Doc, and know that my best interest was at hand.I try to support my own, but with this kind of unconcern I’d not visit again.Others, have complained of the same service. Not a good look for a needed profession.

This place is terrible!! My mothers appointment was for 10am and it is now 1:30 and we are still in the waiting room. Also two people parked crossways blocking my vehicle in so we couldnt even leave if we wanted to. The staff is unprofessional and required her copay over an hour ago but still Hasnt even moved her to a room. Apparently if you are a new patient and they give you the stack of paperwork to fill out better make sure that you sign in or you will be bumped down until God knows when about being seen according to the very rude lady behind the counter they see them in the order they sign in so it doesnt matter what time you have an appointment for also if they Far Over book so that it runs into her lunch hour she will make it sound like it is your fault that she is going to skip her lunch to ensure that you are seen RUN RUN FAST AS YOU CAN!!!

She is a great dermatologist. I have known her for years. I have worked with other dermatologist that is not as efficient as she is. She will take patients that no other dermatologist will take. So if you go in to her office and it is full. That just to let you know she is that good and other dermatologist denied seeing them. You will be please when you leave.

I was referred to this Dermatologist by my co-worker. I came and read the reviews and went back to my coworker and told her that I was not going to someone who had reviews such as these. I ran into a long time friend of mine whom I knew had bad skin in the past. I complimented her on her skin and asked her where she went. She told me Dr, Mcclerkin. I called and set an appointment. When I got there the wait was long(Because Dr. Mcclerkin is the only one there). once I got called back, she introduced her self to me and shook my hand. She knew exactly what was wrong and prescribed medication accordingly. Shes not a perfect dr office but she is African American and she knows about all types of skin. I will be going back.

Ive been going there for 6 years. I have to say the wait time is extremely long but well worth it. As far as dead bugs never seen them. Yes it has small quarters but she is an awesome dr. Who excepts all types of insurance. For some who deals with medicaid she treats her patients as if there the richest persons there. So yeah the place is small and the wait time is extremely long but who is going to care about you like she does? what would you rather have a Dr. Who you have to see a m.a and then wait 20-30 minutes and they only see you for 5. Like said before well worth it.

Horrible place. Wait times are outrageously insane. First time going there but will def. be my last time going there. I waited long enough over two hours and then still didnt get seen. The furthest I got while being there is to taking of insurance/id plus co-pay(before even being seen by the ONE DR THEY HAVE THERE). Also hippa privacy was also violated as well as the fact the some of the wiring from the walls by floor were very easily accessible to young children. I didnt go to the bathroom there but I heard that the bathrooms were disgusting. Lastly, The entire office was FILTHY. That place is not suitable in my opinion to even be remaining open for business. The floors were filthy....it is like with this business PRESENT ABILITY/CLEANLINESS MEANS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO THEM. I have NEVER had an experience like this. This will most defiantly be my first and LAST time going to that doctor office. Also when you ask about how many people ahead of you the staff there just guess and dont try to find out anything like professional business personnel do.

I’m telling you every bad review you see is 100% accurate. I have never in my life been to a doctors office and waited two hours just to be seen. My appointment was at 8:30 and still did not get seen until 10:30. The staff is so unprofessional. They need more doctors instead of just one who really need more schooling. I drove an hour for this appointment. I would never come to this place again.Ever again and I am telling my doctor not to ever send me a referral to this place again. I would pay a million dollars before I go to a place like this again. SERVICE SUCKS

This place is TRASH and very UNPROFESSIOINAL. I understand its under Medicaid but step your standards up. My son had a appointment on the 1st of August and still has not received his prescription that was never sent. So if my son gets an infection it is this skin Doctors fault for MEDICAL NEGLIGENCE. I WILL NEVER COME BACK TO THIS DISGUSTING PLACE OF BUSINESS AND I RECOMMEND NO ONE BRINGS THEIR CHILDREN OR THEMSELVES HERE! Also they never pick up the phone. I called them about the prescription and have not received a call yet. DO NOT COME HERE. IF YOU HAVE MEDICAID CHOOSE SOMEWHERE ELSE

I had an appointment that was at 3 and had to leave. Was not seen. Waited until 4:55 pm and finally left. I had to reschedule and after reviews not sure on going back. Staff tried to get me to stay saying she is behind due to an emergency and she will be right in, just wait 5 more min. But I was like NO! This office is small, cramped, out dated, and in the hood. I passed it 3 times trying to find the office in the cut. I heard an was the best at her job for my type of skin but was warned AFTER I reschedule my appointment that her bedside manner is terrible. They do not even call for appointment confirmation or reminders. Maybe I should just show up at opening to get seen and out before closing.

This was an unbelievable experience to say the least. This facility is filthy at best. The place smells like a dirty house. The woodwork throughout is filthy. The ac filters were plugged with dirt. The staff walks around digging at their scalps. There are people hanging out all over the steps outside due to too many patients scheduled and they are panhandling outside the facility which I personally experienced. I did not return for my operation due to the smell and filth. Thanks to Obama dont care insurance, which is the biggest joke of the century, there is no where to go. I would rather die than go here. God help you if you go here. Also you may want to carry personal protection.

This place is really a joke. I went there for an appointment at 8:45 and did not leave until 10:00. I had to tell them that I had to leave and needed to see the doctor soon. Just like the other reviews, she did not wear any gloves; which I find VERY unsanitary. She did not tell me what my issue was, just prescribed some medication. I have a follow-up appointment that I am trying to cancel and I have been on hold for now 25 minutes and NO ONE HAS answered yet. The recording speaks of the Lancaster office that has been cancelled for years, if you call the Orangeburg number it is the same recording; so why bother. The staff is so rude and unprofessional!!!! I will NOT refer anyone to this location and will NOT return. They make sure they get your payment prior to being seen!!!! They are just using insurance companies to get paid. I hate that I even have to give them one star!!!! RUN, RUN, RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN FROM THIS PLACE!!!!! Read ALL of the reviews, the ALL say the same thing. The place is disgusting as well, no upkeep of the inside!!!

Very nasty, long waits also called this morning about a cream she gave i was on hold for 20 mins so i hung up and called back only to hear the dr will have to call you back with that and here i sit and still no phone call all day i tried calling back and no one answers this is enough. I am finding my son a new dr and reporting to the state about the nastiness thats hepatitis central.

I wouldnt even mark a star. I only mark one to comment. The office smelled terrible. The seats are dingy and dirty. I dont know how they are able to work in there. I wanted to cry when I had to wait for my appointment in this office. I dont ever want to have to come back to this place. Ever. :. (

I would give her zero stars if I could. My high schoolers appt was at 930am. By 11:15, we still had not been seen. I inquired abt the wait and was told there were 6 patients ahead of me and only one doctor. We left without being seen and will take our business elsewhere. No doctor in this day and age books like that and wastes a patients entire morning. If it were an isolated instance, it would be different. But it also happened to me in their Lancaster office many years ago so they are still mismanaging their practice. Only reason we put up with it then was bc it was the only place in town who took my daughters insurance.

Waited almost two months for my appointment, only to arrive to a lobby full of people and a wait time close to 1.5-2hrs. I carved out time from work for this appointment, but couldn’t wait. I was told that she was seeing people quickly, but I didn’t come there for a quick appointment or to be herded through like cattle.. No thanks.

Shes a great dermatologist. Ive been going to different doctors over a nine year period, and none of them have ever gotten remotely close to the results Ive gotten from her. The only knock they have is the waiting, but Ive been looking for these results for nine years, so I can wait an hour after my original appointment time.

This is the worst. They answer and say hold on and put you on hold . Never come back. Ive called 12 times and cant no response. This is very unprofessional. Ive seen all the bad reviews to . Lets report this place to Medicare Medicaid etc. A lawyer and some news crews need to get involved. Lets do this people .

Awful and unprofessional place. My sister has been in severe pain due to possible vasculitis and had some biopsies done. My sister went to a rheumatologist and he sent a request for a biopsy they took from her stomach to see what type of vasculitis she may have. Dr. MCLERKINS office sent a report of a dry patch from her arm which she never had a biopsy on... she has been waiting months for answers and now bunches of money later no answers. Seriously do not recommend!!

If I could give zero stars I would. I regret not reading the reviews before making an appointment for this place. Very unprofessional and extremely nasty business. I mean dirty floors, chairs, walls. I was scared to sit down in the stain filled cushion chairs. Then I waited 2 hours past my appointment time to be seen. The doctor was all over the place. Staff kept coming in and out my room when I was trying to get undressed!!! I was scared to get completely naked so I kept my legging on which she made me take off in front of her! She did not use hand sanitizer or wash her hands. She did not use gloves. She touched me with dirty hands. There was no soap, hand sanitizer or gloves in the room or halls of the building. I watched them open new tools and then drop the sterile tools on the floor and put them back on the table to use. She just looked for a minute and didnt really pay much attention. Said a few stops could use some testing and said to make an appointment for that. I was extremely upset and aggravated at this point I told them Id call to make an appointment and left. People with Medicaid shouldnt be left with this. We have little resources and get pushed to this type of environment because we are low income?!? Disgraceful! I will be calling someone about this. This place needs to be shut down.

DO NOT GO HERE! This place is absolutely unprofessional. The doctor touched me with no gloves on. She also looked and acted like she had drugs in her system. I waited 2 hours to see the doctor just for her to not know what shes talking about. Smh Im so disappointed. If youre reading reviews to decide weather or not to go MAKE SURE you listen to the reviews.

As I sit in their lot on this day of 06-17-16, I just left out because every review was absolutely CORRECT. N to top it off today they had no air n it was packed. I wouldnt recommend my pet to this place & I dont even have one. I cant not put a star but I swear They DONT even deserve 1. Why the f would you schedule all theses patients wit only one Dr. IM DONE.

McClerklin is probably the best skin doctor for black people, you are gonning to find. I love white folks but they couldnt do anything for my skin condition. I MUST ADMIT!! Dr McClerkin office staff wasnt the best & wait times are long. However, many blacks go to her so wait times can get long. She also could use some lessons in slowing down & getting familiar with the client. When she comes in, she is at 100 mph WIDE OPEN!! She IMMEDIATELY starts working on you. Some may take this as rushing & unprofessional. HOWEVER, I WILL CONTINUE TO USE HER!! NO OTHER doctor has given me & my family the results this lady has!!

I try my best to support black professions but this experience is a prime reason why I am so hesitant. This office is so ghetto, rachet, and unprofessional. I will never bring my mom here again!!!! The woman doctor came in with no professional demeanor at all. The staff was all over the place. The doctor came in putting her hands all over my mothers scars with no gloves on. No telling what kind of germs she had. Two of the staff go into a heat argument about a 5,000$ bill some one charged by mistake!!!!!!!!!! My thing is if you dont have the time to give quality care to your patients, dont get a whole bunch of patients schedule at one time. Insurance pay good money for qua calllity care and if it wasnt for your patients you would be making a profit. This will be the first and last time my mom ever go to this ghetto, rachet, pathetic place!!!!!!

This place is completely horrible. My appointment was scheduled for 10:45AM Tuesday. I took off work to drive an hour and a half to get there. The front desk clerk did not even acknowledge me. After accepting my payment up front and waiting approximately two hours, we questioned how long it would be before I see the doctor. The response was we can reschedule. The doctor then came to my room, grabbed my file, and was redirected to another room where it took another 20mins. Once the doctor entered she rushed through the process. Did not ask any questions of who I was or introduced herself. She then asked my mother if she think I needed a skin biopsy, mind you I am a grown woman. The doctor did the skin biopsy without giving the area time to numb. Advised ME to call HER Friday with the results. I have called 4 times today and was unable to hear from the doctor. I will NEVER use this place again!!!!

Today is Tuesday June 11th 2019. Mu daughters appt was at 10 am. We got here at 9:30 am and now it 1:00 pm and we are still here. This place is ridiculous. The staff along with Dr. McCerklin is very unprofessional. They was very overbooked In appointments. They schedule all this appointments at the same time just for the money but dont give each patients five minutes to ask questions or voice there concerns. Dr. Mccerklin was in and out of the room on numerous occasions not letting us know what was going on. Mind you this is my daughters 3rd visit. You should know by now what u are treating her for. I asked about the injection what was the name of it and why was she getting it cause its not working. Then I asked had she biopsied her to find out exactly what her skin condition was. To my surprise they hadnt done one. How can u treat someone and not know there problem. This is the only doctor in South Carolina that except Medicaid. The recipients on Medicaid deserve quality care just like everyone else. And this place is not it......the state needs to come and take a look at just how the office is ran on a daily basis. I wouldnt recommend her or her staff to anyone!!!!!!

I waited well over two hours to be seen. She did not even examine all of the areas of concern, or hear all of my concerns; interrupted me while I was speaking. Left the room even while I was attempting to talk to her. Waited all that time for maybe 45 seconds of her attention. She didnt bother to take a full history. The paper work you fill out definitely doesnt cover everything. I left in tears after how rude she was. No reason to go back as she doesnt have time to even pretend like she is treating a patient.

My daughter started seeing this physician 4 years ago. While I must admit her wait time is extensive and the office not the newest, she is SKILLED when it comes to african american skin. She is now seeing me and Im seeing major results with old keloids fading quickly. I cant complain and will continue to see her.

This place needs new management! Sit for hours along with everybody else. And you cant even plug in your phone or tablets to keep yourself entertained! I dont care how good you are taken care of your patients is more than just in the exam room. Dont make ppl sit for hours schedule properly

How dare I NOT read the reviews before coming here. EVERYTHING these reviews say are ABSOLUTELY true! Horrible place and I have no idea how this establishment is still open. Filthy is an understatement and the wait time is crazy. I waited over 1 hour before they ever called me back just to check my insurance. Then they send you back to wait again after you lose your seat because both waiting rooms are packed and people are standing up. Waited another hour and a half before going to a room, just to wait another 40 minutes before being seen. Its only one doctor here and everyone has an appointment. They double book and everyone has been waiting for hours. She dont listen once your in there and she rushes you out. I will NEVER come here ever again. NOT worth It! Worst place Ive ever been and I will be reporting her because this place needs changes or needs to be closed down.

We sat in the waiting room for an hour, and got put in a room for another 20 minutes before asking why it was taking so long and the DOCTOR came in, had an incredibly bad attitude, saying well youll just have to wait and stay in your room. We got our refund and walked out! I have never been talked to that rudely by any doctor even after working with them. I wouldnt have given this place one star! The nurses and staff are incredibly nice but the doctor is a rude unprofessional lady I wouldnt go back if you paid me.

The wait may be long however, Dr. McClerklin is an excellent doctor. My family and I have been patients for nearly 20yrs. Ive been a licenced cosmetologist for over a decade and Ive referred many of my clients to Dr. McClerklin. We travel over an hour but its well worth the drive and the wait.

My mother went to Dr. McClerklin, she was ver short, spent very little time with my mom and no one answered the phone. Very, very unprofessional!!!!
