LOVE Dr Soudan but HATE the office enough to possibly not return. It is always freezing and they schedule very badly here. They’re always late and you’re not allowed to come late even if they’re behind. They also will not inform you if they’re running late. I had an appointment canceled and I had to reschedule and then had to wait an hour and a half before I got in.

Dr. Soudan is very knowledgeable and experienced. He takes the time to explain to my medical issues and how to best treat them. During my Procedures he always helps in keeping me relaxed, he has a great sense of humor and it really helps keep me distracted. The entire Medical Team is always very friendly, helpful and professional. If I have any issues or concerns they take care of it right away. I’ve been a patient at the Columbia location for a few years due to my various medical needs and highly recommend Dr. Soudan and his team to anyone seeking relief from back and neck pain. He and his team work so well together and have helped me tremendously !!

Dr. Soudan came highly recommended by my PCP, my radiologist, and a very close friend! The office staff was friendly and professional! They accommodated me as a new patient with an appointment within two days! Dr. Soudan was extremely thorough in reviewing and explaining my MRI and his recommendation was spot on! Had my first procedure the next day and that went very well. Would highly recommend him and his team!

This is the best pain center in the area. Before coming here, I had tried 4 others, and was not satisfied and was left living in great pain until I met Dr. Soudon. Dr. Soudon listened, and heard my feelings, and my story. He welcomed me and relieved all my pains and tears. I was so Happy I had found him. He is the Greatest Pain Reliever. He is also very Gentle with his hands and explaining everything to you. Having Pain, living with pain is no Joke; and anyone that experience chronic pain in their life understand and also understand when you find a Great healing Doctor, how much you value them. Thank God for Dr. Soudon and the National Spine and Pain Center. I highly recommend and also along with Great atmosphere and services; how can I also forget the Greatest Assistants too. They are Wonderful making you feel relaxed. Thank you all.Patient, Ms. Nora

The medical staff from the Dr.s to the assistants (CRNP, etc.) have been great. From day one of being referred to Natl Spine and Pain Center, theyve been more than very helpful. I like this approach; doing whats best for their patients to resolve or relieve their pain with the best medical technology at their access.I would like to give a special Thanks to Ms Tamika Scott, CRNP (Columbia, MD) and as well as Dr. Soudan for being the great Compassionate Professionals they are. Ms Scotts transition after coming on as my CRNP has been very smooth. Shes been very caring and attentive. Much Thanks!

He is caring and compassionate. He is VERY skilled at injection therapy. I will continue to put myself in his gifted hands as long as he is working (Please dont retire, LOL).

NSPC has accepted my rare disease and its repercussions to my anatomy. The offering of sedation for ablation is so much easier to tolerate. The staff of the operating room are pleasant and have friendly open attitudes. I am treated with validity. I have been a PT of the group since inception. Not treated as if one had the plague, if you get my meaning. Pre-Op nurses are pleasant. I am new to this office (Columbia) and so far Dr. Sudan seems to be a nice Doctor. I dont feel under a microscope on first through third impressions. Not treated as such at prior locations as well fyi. Hagerstown, Cumberland, now Columbia. Moved in the last 15 years, thus three locations.

Dr. Soudan and the staff are wonderful. The wait time, however, sucks. They tell you to arrive a half hour before your appointment time, or youre considered late. For example, if your appointment is at 1:00pm, they will tell you to arrive at 12:30pm. If you arrive at 12:45, youre late. EVEN THOUGH they run late!! I arrived a half hour early to my appointment and wasnt seen until a half hour after my appointment. So I waited for an hour. I understand they want you to be early so it doesnt back the doctors up, but if theyre going to have you come that early, there should be no reason for that long of a wait.

Truly a world class pain clinic. My wife and i just moved here from Colorado and this is our 3rd pain clinic. The clinic is run like an Emergency room so the bed side manor can get lost: however, i didnt come here to get Johnson & Johnsons sprinkled on my bottom. I came here to get relief. The only other group of medical professionals i have seen that are the best of the best is my Neuro Surgeons team. This team at Spine & Pain is top of the class and best of the best. They accomplished more in diagnosis and treatment in 2 visits than our last team did in 2 years. They have blessed us and restored hope in our life at a time when we needed it. We thought that we just had to keep suffering on down the road with that is as good as it gets. Our last clinic was giving me shots for something this clinic took care of with a pill. I am not saying that you will not get shots, however its debatable if my last clinic was just padding their paycheck with my pain.Or they were the worst of the worst. And they were since this clinics treatment involved less pain for me and far beter relief...

Started out really good and was excited to get a procedure done that should last for a year. I have been living with constant pain for 10 years in my Thoracic Spine. I got a test procedure done to see if it will help and I felt 100% better and got really excite. I schedule the procedure (Radiofrequency Ablation), and got an appointment two weeks later. The Friday before the procedure which was on a Monday i get a call asking if I can reschedule because something came up with the Dr. I was disappointed because I was really looking forward to getting pain relief but rescheduled for the next week. I show up for the appointment 45mins early because I just want to get this done and feel better and 20mins after my scheduled procedure the nurse says they tested the needles and they didnt come back clean so I will have to reschedule because they cant guarantee they arent contaminated. Why are they just now testing 10mins before my procedure? When you have chronic pain this news made me want to break down and just give up. Looking for another Dr. now.

Dr. Soudan and staff are very good. The problem is their corporate systems. They have tried to stream line things so much they are applying the same policies/operations to all their centers which does not work. I was told to show up 30 minutes early for an 8:45 am appointment. They dont open until 8:30 am..duhhhhh. Update: I wanted to edit this to compliment Morgan the office manager at this location. Recently UHC has been using the Opioid Crisis to deny people proper medication essentially to cut down costs. Morgan and PA Seashole were instrumental in cutting through their pre-auth stonewall to help me get back on track. Thanks

Dr. Soudan is fabulous, system is terrible. Instructions to show up at least 30 minutes prior to an appointment and then will wait up to 1.5 hours (my first time) to see the doc (45 - 1 hour standard wait time). Staff at front is very rude. Automated call to verify appointment that does not have a cancellation option. I spent at least 10 minutes on hold yesterday to reschedule an appointment. Gave up and hung up and am trying again. I called once to see how far they were running behind (to save sitting for more than an hour in the waiting room) and the person at the call center was abrupt and rude and told me if I was more than 15 minutes late, I would forfeit the appt. If you can tolerate all of this, Dr. Soudan is outstanding. Be prepared.

I had been recommended to Dr. Soudan from a lady who is a nurse, not related to this practice. She had pain issues and had found relief at National Spine and Pain with Dr. Soudan. I figured if its good for her, it might work for me. I had spine surgery in 2011 and was near bounced out of their office when I had the nerve to complain about spasms and, what I later learned, is Radicular Neuropathy. I had seen 2 pain management docs before going to see National Spine & Pain in Columbia. Previously, I had been given short term pain meds for what has really become 24/7 pain. Dr. Soudan gave me a couple of epidurals (which is common practice) but in much different areas than before. The spasming finally stopped. The neuropathy continues as there was substantial damage to the sciatic nerve prior to surgery. For that I was given Gralise (gabapentin-I had been taking Lyrica with another doc which didnt really do much) which helped quite a bit. For the constant back and leg pain, I was given a long term pain med that FINALLY gave me some hope that I could get back to living again. The long term and a short term pain med on an as needed basis and I am happy to say that things are, well... OK. They are not great. Thats up to me. I need to lose some weight and get some stress off of my back and joints (MY prescription, not Dr. Soudans-he has been very ginger about stepping on toes and cut me some slack on that front, with the advice that less weight = less stress-he appreciates that I get it-nough said). I now see his Nurse Practicioner (or Physicians Assistant-I always get those two mixed up) Marilyn Seashole every month for follow up, med adjustments, and advice. She always takes the time to listen no matter how much I grumble and complain. I suppose she has adopted certain tools to cope with just that!I have learned that it makes plenty of sense to jump ship if youre not getting the care and attention you need when it comes to medical care. If it doesnt feel right, it isnt. But since coming to National Spine & Pain, I have found continued relief to what was very debilitating pain. I still have pain, but its managed and I can live my life.
