I had a okay experience this time around at Thirty Hair. I walked out with the color I basically went in with and was charged almost $200. The only thing that looked different were my roots. Come to find out I was “undercharged”. I’m a very nice and patient customer I buy products and tip regardless of the outcome of my hair. The second time I went in not much was done other than the stylist stripping my hair to get the old color out which made a little difference. I understand it’s a process but this was never explained to me initially. There was no miscommunication. I specifically told the stylist she had dyed my hair previously months ago. It sucks that I had such a bad experience this time because I enjoyed coming here. I appreciate all the other times I was taken care of, but they seemed not to care this time around. The color I asked for was chocolate brown.

Amber is AMAZING! I came to this salon back in February with box colored black hair and all I wanted was to go lighter and add dimension to my hair. I didn’t have a specific picture or anything, I gave my trust to Amber and she did not disappoint! Her work is amazing, and she is one of the nicest/sweetest people I’ve met. She makes my hair appointment fly by and I leave each appointment feeling brand new. Her work on my hair has truly boosted my confidence and self esteem, and for that I am very grateful.

I have been going to this Aveda concept salon for over 10 years, since before they were in this Columbia location. I saw a few wonderful women who eventually left the salon, but then found Kara who has been my go-to stylist for many years now. I only get a few face framing highlights and a haircut every few months, but she makes me feel great every time I go. I recommend her highly, and my mom and sisters now see her too. She is great at listening to your vision for your hair, suggesting options she thinks will work with your hair type, and always helps my hair look its best. Their salon has been extra cautious during covid, and everyone was masked and thoroughly cleaning when I finally returned after many months away. After one visit, I wanted to tone down the highlights I had gotten (it was within 2 weeks of my original color and the salon was super kind about fixing the service and making sure I was 100% happy with my hair), but Kara was booked. Instead I saw Emma for that color correction and Amber finished up my visit with a wash and blow-dry. Emma was fantastic, and if Im ever in a bind I would be happy to be in her chair again. She was kind and funny and patient with me as I explained what I wanted changed about the color. Amber did a great job with my blow-dry/style and was also really kind. Everyone at this salon is super talented, personable, kind, and great at listening to your ideas. I highly recommend this salon!

Wonderful staff, very clean, and amazing hair wizardry. Go see Cara or Lucy, they are both phenomenal.

I went in to get a wolf cut and as close to strawberry blonde as possible (I wasnt expecting to get there in one session). I wanted layers, long in the back, long bangs, and as light as would be healthy. I expected to have multiple sessions to get the color right, but I didnt expect to look unfinished when I left. My roots werent touched at all, when my stylist specifically asked if I wanted them done too. I ended up with a short in the back bob. I paid full price and went straight to CVS to buy a box of dye, and Im now going home to dye and cut my hair myself like I have been for the last 10 years. If you want to get nothing you asked for and to leave with untouched roots and patches of unbleached hair, go here. If not, you might as well save $275 dollars and screw up your own hair for basically free.EDIT: The owner and I worked things out as best as possible, and while Im still unhappy with my hair, the prompt response and care from the owner is very appreciated. I would absolutely recommend this salon. It feels very safe with Covid protocols in place. I have also loved every cut I have gotten here (which has been about 4, and I’ve been going here for about a year and a half). I also have glowing praise for Emma. I recently dyed my hair for the first time with her, and I didn’t love the result at first. A week later I came in, and got it toned to my new desired color (free of charge)! I am so pleased with the result and would recommend this salon (and Emma!) if you are looking for one.

Scheduled an appointment for Emma in the evening after work. Did not have any wait time when I arrived. She is very nice, talented, and professional. I definitely continue scheduling my appointments with her in the future.

Stopped in to fix the gray while I had time on my hands. Lucky Lucy drew the short straw and was able to work wonders with my super fine hair and all those darn baby hairs. Excellent colorist and conversationalist. Worth every penny to spend time with her.

Emma has been doing my hair for several years now and as fickle as my hair can be, she makes it beautiful every single time! The blond is gorgeous and cut show my curls off to everyone! I will be a long time client!

First off, I called this morning the representative was super nice and warming. I book an appointment with Allie. Walking in you feel like your at home. It’s clean and they practice social distancing between clients and everyone is taking all COVID measures.I’ve been to plenty of salons in my life and this place was by far the best. Allie was amazing!! She talked to me about exactly what I wanted. I didn’t feel like I was being pressured into something I didn’t. I walked out super happy and felt beautiful. Thank you, Allie! After serendipitously seeing a sponsored post for Thirty Hair while I was scrolling through my IG feed recently and my experience after my first visit with them yesterday--I have absolutely found my hair tribe!From the moment I walked into the salon I was greeted warmly by the woman at the front desk (*I absolutely feel terrible because I didnt get the chance to catch her name*)Amber got me into her salon chair in no time!Shes my absolute new favorite, and is so amazing at what she does.She made the entire coloring process a total breeze and a relaxing environment.😊We struck up a ton of different conversations about our lives, so it was nice to talk and get to know someone outside of the usual pandemic bubble Ive been in.🙂I also want to bring up how amazing Amber and the rest of the wonderful staff at Thirty Hair is when it came to safety protocols:-Everything was sanitized before and after being used or sat on.-Masks were worn by everyone-And the social distancing between everyone was on point!11/10 recommend Thirty Hair.Thank you so much again, Amber! I love this salon for numerous reasons, and here are some of them. 1) It is always clean and gorgeous inside. 2) The hair stylists are incredibly talented and do exactly the look I’m going for. 3) Aveda is amazing so ya that’s a huge plus! 4) Incredibly easy and quick to make an appointment and tbh I love the reminders they send because I def forget my appointment sometimes. 5) I’ve gotten an insane amount of compliments on my hair and people actually want to know where I get it done, @ Thirty Hair ofc :) So ya, def recommend this beautiful salon!

I tried this salon based on a recommendation from someone, and they did not disappoint. I felt like I had been going there for years. My stylist, Kara, was amazing and offered suggestions, and it turned out exactly like it was supposed to. Everyone was very friendly and made me feel welcome. The salon smelled amazing too. I scheduled my next appointment before I left the salon. Highly recommend to others.

I have been going to Sarah for ten years. I followed her to Thirty Hair. She is knowledgeable and up to date on new products. I will go in with a hair cut or color idea and can not really describe the look. Sarah knows what I am looking for and I always leave with the perfect color and cut. I love Sarah so much and trust her that she was a huge part of my wedding day. She made me feel so pretty and important on my big day and I have pictures to prove it. Her staff is always friendly and make you feel comfortable. I will never go anywhere else.

Recently went to Thirty Hair after my stylist changed salons. Love this place! Its a bit hard to find, which is my only complaint. Staff is friendly, place is clean, and everything is wonderful!

1st time visiting this salon. i had the pleasure of having Sarah cover my grays and give me a trim. The salon was clean, very welcoming, every single one of the employees either greeted me with a Hello or gave me a nice smile. I have been getting my hair done by Sarah for years, she is the only hair dresser I have ever considered going to since she did my hair for the first time. I have had nothing but great experiences with Sarah, which is why I followed her from her former salon to Thirty Hair. I always leave exceptionally satisfied with her salons staff, service, and end results. The people who work there treat their clients with so much care - from front desk, to shampoo, to styling, each and every person you deal with makes you feel welcome and at home - not something you often hear about a salon. I have personally recommended this salon to at least 5 friends, who have all had just as good experiences and continue to book appointments there, as well. Its nice to be able to give a recommendation that you feel 100% confident about and enjoy sending people to! The staff here is extremely professional and knowledgeable in all areas, so when I did finally take the plunge to chop off my long locks, I couldnt be happier with the outcome. I would like to thank Sarah and her team for always doing a terrific job, and for allowing me to get out of my comfort zone when it comes to trying new things with my hair! I have been seeing Sarah for my hair for a while and Ive been to this new salon several times and I will continue to travel from Baltimore City to go to Thirty Hair. As a woman who has had nightmare haircuts in the past I tend to be hesitant with a new stylist. But never once have I felt that way with anyone in this salon. I trust them completely with my hair which is the most important. But it is also so nice to actually enjoy being in a place while you get your hair done. It is beautifully decorated and you are always offered a beverage while you wait either for your stylist or for your hair to be done. And of course everyone on staff is so friendly. If you were going to go to a salon for the atmosphere this is the place to go - it just so happens that they are AMAZING at hair as well.

Great front desk, friendly staff, convenient hours. However, this last appointment I had was a big disappointment. My previous two visits were very satisfactory. This time I had a partial highlighting, which looks like the stylist sprayed blond on the front of my head and left the crown and back dark. Ive even had someone ask me if I did it myself!! So disappointing...wont be going back. I shouldnt spend that much money on a service and come away feeling (and looking} like this.

This was my first time coming here and I am absoloutely amazed with how my hair came out! Emma did balayage on my hair and she did an amazing job! 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking to get their hair done. I wll definitley be coming back in the future!

Went in for root color. Asked for purple, but got brown. Was also charged for all over color, when only roots were colored. Called to ask for refund/correction, and was told Id be called back. Never received call. Extremely unhappy. Dont trust their colors, and question their charges.

Today was my first time visiting this salon and it will not be my last. I got a wonderful cut by Lucy. Lucy, and all of the other staff I interacted with, were friendly, talented, professional, personable, and the list goes on. The salon was clean and organized, and the price was right.

It was my first visit today and I saw Emma! As an Aveda fan myself, i was thrilled to find out that my hair could be treated with Aveda color!! I did not even know that was a thing! Game changer!!! I left with beautiful color and healthier hair! The atmosphere is great and everyone is lovely including owner Sarah! This place is a must if you like Aveda and great customer service!

My haircut was fine, but the color was hideous. I went in to get my roots touched up (brunette to blonde), and they actually died my roots DARKER than they were when I came in. The opposite of what I asked for. The color looked like it was just randomly slapped on - big chunky splotches of dark here, blonde spots there. It was really terrible. When I asked for a refund for the color portion of my visit, I was told they have a strict no refund policy. So no matter how badly they butcher your hair, youre stuck paying for it. They offered to try fix it, but I do not want them anywhere near my head again. I have a strict I dont pay for what I didnt receive policy , so I will be disputing the charge with my bank. If I could give them zero stars I would.
