Earlier today I had written a review in which I expressed disappointment from my haircut I received today. However, in what seemed like 20 minutes after I wrote the initial review, the owner of this company personally contacted me and offered to make everything right. We scheduled another appointment and boy did she make everything right. not only was i given a fantastic haircut, but was also given a complimentary beverage and a hair wash. The owner of this business shows true work ethic, and an intense want to make sure everyone that walks through that door leaves with a smile on their face. This kind of motivation is far and few between in Bryan/College station and I am glad to have found a business that practices that. I will without a doubt continue to give them my business.

This place gave me the best haircut I have ever had! Xhuljan was my barber, and he gave me exactly what I was looking for, absolutely no complaints! Best barber I have ever had, super sociable and great professionalism. I am absolutely blown away by this cut. 10/10 would recommend to anyone.

I’ve gone around a lot of places to get a haircut and so far I hadn’t been able to find the right barber. My new barber, JT, makes me feel confident with my haircut and he styles it just how I like it. He makes me enjoy my time there and I really appreciate how well he does. He provides great conversation and never disappoints on a good looking hair cut.

A trendy haircut saloon. Lots of barbers to choose from. Has a very convenient appointment system that lets you choose the barber of choice. Walk-ins are also welcome. The prices are slighter on the higher scale but worth the service.The premise is wheelchair accessible. Parking is available. Environment is clean, well lite with nice music playing. The staff and owner are super friendly and helpful. Every barber has their own style of cutting hair but are always ready to offer suggestions if you are unsure of what cut you want.

I started going here a few weeks ago based off a recommendation of a friend. J.T has been my barber every time and he always exceeds my expectations. His haircuts are always on point and he’s a easy and fun person to talk to. Everyone is entitled to do what they want but if you haven’t gotten your hair cut by him you’re missing out.

Atmosphere:For a not so big establishment, they do have a substantial amount of barbers with ample amount of space. The seating for customers is kind of tight with it being close to the product display case. One issue is just the parking, due to having a small number of dedicated spots in front of the business. If it does become packed customers will have to find nearby parking.Service:Although I havent gotten a haircut from there in awhile due to barber moving, when I arrived to the business I did see quite of bit of barbers taking their time and patience cutting their customers hair.Quality:Was able to catch a glimpse of some haircuts once they were done and looked like barbers did a great job.Note: If youre a fan of Suavecito Pomade, this is the place to go because they normally carry original scent, as well as seasonal scents and collaborations.

Myself, my husband and our two foster children all came for haircuts. The stylist are very professional and when the youngest threw an absolute fit, the one cutting his hair was super nice about it and didnt say anything about it, only tried to calm him down and get done as quick as he could. Loved the rest of the family cuts as well. Awesome place awesome ppl awesome price!!

My husband took my son to get his haircut here earlier today (our first time going to this place) and the appointment was set with Curtis and they did a horrible job at it. My son came to get a haircut for his band concert tomorrow (May 25) at school and now he feels embarrassed to even go to school tomorrow. They ruined his hair and there is no way to fix it, we have to wait for his hair to grow out again to be able to fix it. Do not recommend.

My husband went here for his haircut, and we are very pleased with the result. We booked an appointment online and got it the same day with JT. He did a fantastic job, took his time, and gave suggestions as he cut his hair.

Eight different walk ins eight different barbers all very professional and do a great job!!! Not many places you can get this!

Renee has cut my nephews hair twice now and both times I’ve been more than satisfied with the level of service, professionalism and her ability to understand my vision as I’m not a hair expert. He’s 12 and he’s told me he enjoys getting his hair cut by her better than the other places I’ve taken him in the past.

Set up an appointment with Anthony, you won’t regret it. Anthony gets better every time I come in. He spends as much time as possible to make sure your fade is perfect and pays attention to things most barbers don’t. He knows exactly what I’m envisioning when I want to switch it up a little and delivers every single time. I’m really picky about my cuts and he has never disappointed me. Absolutely the most talented barber I’ve ever been cut by, and trust me, I’ve been through a lot.

Pros. The hair cut met my expectations and earned all the four stars.Cons. The promise on the website turns out to be just a promise.I booked an appointment online out of three possible packages which they did not seem to care which one I booked and just assumed it was the basic one.A complimentary drink sounds like a big customer service move on the website, but it is a bigger failure when not offered in person.I understand it is a popular salon and it must be tiring after a long day but I suspect a 5:00 pm customer pays as much as other ones and deserves the same attention.So, I would recommend the haircut but dont have high expectations of great customer service.

JT was awesome, one of the few barbers that I’ve had that really listens. He talked me through my haircut to make sure everything was up to par, and even gave suggestions for what he thought would look good. Great barber!

This place is the worst place I’ve ever gotten my haircut at. Waited 40 minutes to get my hair cut (mind you they let 4 people in front of me who were walk ins when I had an appointment) got my haircut and it looks terrible. Never go to this place

Been going here for a year now. I use Mark, I’ve never changed and he’s one of the best ones there. He does run behind by a few minutes, but it’s not that big of an issue because it’s not like he’s lounging around. I’ve recommended 4.0 to a loads of my mates, and they’ve all come back happy!

I got my hair cut here after seeing it recommended online. I happened to be picked up by Lexis, though it’s very possible that all of the barbers are good at their jobs. I’ve never had a particularly good barber before, but this was easily the best experience I’ve ever had getting a haircut. The salon is a great experience, my barber knew what she was doing, and it was overall great, hence the five stars. The price I got was $25 (+tip), which can be pricey for a haircut and wash, but I still plan to come back here and get the same person to cut my hair next time.

Ive been going here since they opened and will very rarely go anywhere else. Jessica has been cutting my hair for many years and is second to none in my opinion. She has never stopped trying to learn new things in cosmetology and barbering, and that says a lot about how this place is run. Book an appointment online to avoid wait times.

Friendly atmosphere

Great atmosphere and great cut. Attention to detail. Would love to come back however....Had to park at Coyote Lot because of the limited free parking in front. Paid the fee in the box. Upon returning to my car I see that my car had been towed. Parking sign is very dated and has both a $2 and a $5 overlapping each other so its unknown which number is actually the updated fee number. Overall very unethical practice and unspecific parking fee instructions. Cant punish 4.0 Cuts for this, but just wanting others to know to not even mess with this lot and find somewhere else to park because illegal practices are practiced and routine in this lot.THIS ISNT 4.0s FAULT

First impression of this place is that the staff is genuine and friendly. Had a nice conversation with one of the employees while I was waiting to get my hair cut. Not the fastest job in the world but they take their time to make sure your hair turns out just the way you like it. Ill definitely be coming back again.

I went there two days ago for the first time. Jessica gave my hair very nice layers. She is polite and she respects your opinion of what you want. The price is not that expensive, lets say reasonable. I will totally get my next haircut there again.

I ask for a drop fade, and a drop fade was delivered. Juan Rafael definitely gave me a solid haircut. Easy to make an appointment, and reasonable price for the result.

Came in after reading the good reviews and was utterly disappointed. Usually I trim my boyfriends hair but, with a nice event coming up, we decided to have it cut by a professional. Professional is not the word to be used when describing the haircut he received. We provided a picture of what haircut he wanted which was medium length on the top then got shorter as it got closer to the neck. What he received was a mushroom head. Longer on the top indeed but no effort was made to fade the rest of his hair.For $20 we werent expecting a luxurious haircut experience but we were not expecting this. Weve had better experiences at great clips and even cutting it myself.This place would have absolutely no competition if they could cut hair.Maybe it was an off day for the barber, however, after this experience, we will not be returning.

Great service! Great haircut

The parking isnt that great, but everything else was exceptional. My barber, Jose, was friendly and made the process super easy. I just walked in, told him what I wanted, and he delivered.

I went here for 2 years but lately the customer service has gone down. I made an appointment and showed up about 5 minutes early. My appointment time went by and the barber was still working on someone elses hair, which is fine. He likes to take his time and I usually appreciate that. However, 5 minutes later he was still working on the other client. Same situation after 10 minutes...15...20. At this point I had to leave because he had not approached me to tell me how much longer it would be and I had work later in the day. I think they tried calling me a couple hours later but they didnt leave even a voicemail.I gave them a second chance and made an appointment (edit: with a different barber) 2 weeks later. I got texted at 12:00 AM by the barber saying that he wasnt going to be there and I didnt see it until I woke up that morning (with my appointment a little over an hour from then).I still havent found a good replacement barber but I dont think Ill be going back to 4.0 anytime soon

One of the barbers refused to make me a haircut because I brought my own tools since they have low hygiene. I never seen them sterilize their tools and During my previous visit, the barber used a cover that is full of hair. Do not recommend it.

Ive been here twice before and Ive had a great experience both times. I trusted Renee Pineda to cut my hair before a two wedding weekend and she killed it. I got 4 compliments within a week of getting my hair cut. Definitely will be going back to her before graduation.

I came to 4.0 Cuts as it was the only barber shop open on a Sunday, I can safely say that I wont be returning. The staff here is unconcerned with your time and will cut hair on one person for more than an hour. Small breaks and other distractions will consume their attention while your time waiting and getting your cut climbs. The quality of haircuts here is no more impressive but somehow more expensive than any of the national chains that are around either, so no points there. Overall the venue is nice and the staff are kind, but if your time is actually worth something I would suggest you go anywhere else.

This place is absolutely amazing! I had a botched hair cut done by Great Clips in town and Terry offered to fix my hair for free. Its not 100% perfect because the other stylist did such a bad job but it is way better than if I had left it. This place is so worth your money and they definitely care about their customers.

Just had the best cut of my life here at 4.0 Cuts. I’ve gotten a lot of fades from a lot of different barbers but this one exceeded them all. If you’re serious about your fade, ask for Robert. He truly knows what he’s doing.

This is the BEST salon in Cstat. I just went in for my first time today, not only is it very clean, played great music, had a bunch of TVs and the employees were very friendly...... But they offered me COMPLIMENTARY BEER! You guys have my loyalty! Ditch the other barber shops and salons and go to 4.0😎

Very unhappy with the lacking service, excessive price, and the terrible finished product. The barber stopped cutting my hair to spend 20 minutes working with another barber; one side was cut half as short as the other; she charged me $6 extra to graze the same trimmer across my beard for ten seconds; and I left with my hair washed in a wet mess without having it fixed at all. After that as a first experience, I would not recommend this place.

This was my first time coming to 4.0 and I was not disappointed. Reneé did a fantastic job for a fade and a trim. Would highly recommend her and this shop to anyone in the Bryan/College Station area looking for a reasonably priced trim and shave.

Jessica D is the one of the few people that I trust to cut my complicated, cowlick ridden hair. I always have a clean cut. Shes great to talk to, remembers things about me, and cleans up beards nicely as well.

**Update**After speaking about this matter with the owner directly, I was able to voice my concern. She was very open and understanding, and assured me that the experience I had was not representative of how she conducts business. She did apologize, and asked that I give them another try and set up an appointment with Joe Luis. Joe was prompt and professional, and I now feel better about staying on as a client. Im glad about this because as I said in my first post, I really do like this place. Thanks to all the staff who helped me with this!**Original Entry**I wanted so bad to like this place, but my experience here has been terrible. My first experience was when I took my 13 year old for an appointment with Jeff, and that ended up running an hour and a half passed appointment time. I thought well, he did a good job on his hair, so Ill let that slide. I decided to schedule with him for myself next time on a weekday I had off. It went well, except the next time I scheduled early on a Saturday, and the guy decided to text me 30 minutes prior to reschedule for two hours passed the original appointment time. I said no, Ill just go somewhere else. That was irritating because Im a dad and I have other things I had to attend to that day. I decided to give it another shot with the same guy on a Friday after work, and what happened? He sent me another text that day asking to reschedule for an 1 1/2 hours passed the appointment time. Whats the point of schedule appointments if youre just going to keep switching it up?! I told him again that I couldnt reschedule and that Id go somewhere else. The response I got was ok. Thats it. No apology. No offer to make it up with something like a discount on my next haircut or anything. Just Ok. Needless to say the customer service at this place leaves much to be desired. I sent the guy a cordial text expressing my dissatisfaction with the service and told him Id like to be his client if he could correct this error with his servicing. What did I get in return? Nothing. No response. Zero. I will not be going back to this place ever again.

Got my hair cut by Renee today she did a great job, my hair is faded and then I have man bun so its a complicated hair cut and shes always done a fantastic job and takes her time on me to make sure it comes out right. Bunch of great stylists and barbers here would suggest it to any man or woman.

My hair cut is always done correctly and fast. ( I get a comb over faded into a 1 on the sides)

I got a haircut and beard trimmed there was no wait when I went but that could be because all of the students were gone for summer break. Parking is a bit of a pain only a few spots road side.

Have made multiple appointments to avoid wait time, but I always end up waiting 10 to 20 minutes.The haircut itself takes like 50 minutes when it should really only take 30 at most.
