Dr. Laura was recommended to me by a trusted cochlear implant rep. Although there are a number of audiologists near where I live, and I have to drive nearly an hour to reach Clermont, I never regretted going to her. She keeps up on the latest technologies, trains upcoming audiology students, and most of all, devotes time listening and responding to ensure the best hearing experience. She has guided me through both my cochlear implants, which have changed my life.

Dr. Laura spent 2 hours with me despite my 1 hour appointment since the lapse between my last audiology and cochlear implant appointments where I used to live and now caused some unforeseen problems. She cares. The front desk is knowledgeable and very helpful. I’m thankful to have found the expertise but especially the care.

My husband suddenly started having trouble hearing, after multiple attempts to dewax his ears at home, I called Citrus Hearing Clinic. Id never had any experience with an audiologist and my fear was they would try to push hearing aids right away. Very pleasantly surprised to not have that issue at all!. Dr. Laura was WONDERFUL! Very patient, answered all of our questions and actually referred us to an ENT, even called the office directly for an appointment for us. We will be back to Citrus Hearing for regular hearing checks!.

Dr. Laura is awesome! She does not try to sell you a particular brand, but the best aid for your specific issues She is very responsive to questions or issues as her ongoing patient. Well worth the 45 minute drive from The Villages.

I’m not local so I’ve never actually been here. My aunt shared a post about their Deaf/Hard-of-hearing placards with me so I reached out asking about them because I can’t seem to find anyone down here providing anything like it.I got a response very quickly. Not only are they EXTREMELY nice and professional, but they’re sending me placards for my wife and I since we can’t get our own here! They’re not in it to rope in new clients or make a quick buck like some audiologists do. They actually genuinely care about their target clientele, even if that person might not ever stop in and just simply had a question or two.If I ever move to the Clermont, this practice will be my primary audiologists in a heartbeat!

I was referred to this clinic by a friend and I am so grateful. Dr. Pratesi and her staff are wonderful. From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed and received compassionate care. The staff were all very professional through the testing, fitting and even check out process. This is a place where they will take all the time necessary with you, will explain things well, and will go the extra mile to get you exactly what you need as a patient and consumer. Dr. Pratesi is the most patient and helpful audiologist that I have ever visited. She has happily answered my questions (on numerous occasions) before I even visited her for the first time. She has been very flexible with my busy schedule. She takes the time to explain everything that she’s doing and the reason behind it. Her goal is not to sell you a pair of hearing aids and rush you out the door. She takes the time to make sure that you are hearing your best and comfortable. I highly recommend her!

We have been to several Hearing Clinics. We were not impressed with the others. Dr. Laura and her team were very welcoming and made sure we understood all the ins and outs of hearing aids and services. Laura checked my husbands ears, cleaned them and listened to us. Pleased we found her.

Dr. Laura Ann is only incredible! She has calmed my overacting mom questions more times then I can count! She is very VERY VERY good with my daughter and explains everything to both my daughter and myself. Her front office has a variety of informative materials to read as well as an informative receptionist! I’m grateful to live so close to her. Laura Ann is the only audiologist that you need to see. Period.

I really loved going to Dr. Laura’s practice! They staff is friendly and the atmosphere is bright and happy. I especially love how conveniently located it is right in downtown clermont.The prices are reasonable, and Dr. Laura sees you promptly. I’ll be recommending this location to my friends in need of audiology. Oh, and she specializes in pediatric and geriatric audiology, but of course, anyone can be seen by her — including me!Highly recommend.

My first visit with Dr.Laura was probably the best audiology appointment Ive had so far and Ive had many.I was having trouble with my cochlear implants and she was able to quickly identify and remedy the problem.She did a very thorough exam, formulated a solution to the problems I was experiencing and implement a solution. My hearing is as good as its ever been. Her staff was very knowledgeable and professional.She took as much time as needed to speak with me on any aspect of my hearing and how to maintain my equipment etc.The fact that she is hearing impaired gives her more of an insight to my hearing problems moreso than a audiologist with normal unassisted hearing.Thanks so much for all your help.Brian

I would give 10 stars if I could!! Dr. Laura and her staff treated me like I was their most important client. After seeing interaction with other patients, I know this is the culture that is instilled at her office with everyone. Every question was answered with patience and specific details, and every concern settled with understanding and expertise. I did not encounter any “high pressure” sales tactics and was able to select the best device that met my needs and lifestyle after receiving details on all products available. After selecting my device, it was programmed to fit my specific needs for hearing correction. Not just some product off a shelf sent in the mail. I never realized how much life I was missing! Every sound has so much detail. My only issue is that I don’t sing as well as I thought I did!I have never felt more comfortable at a doctors office and highly recommend Citrus Hearing Clinic.

Dr. Laura is the most caring doctor Ive ever had. She listened attentively to absolutely everything I had to say and took my whole story into consideration. Any concerns I had were addressed warmly and without judgement. She went above and beyond for me and did it with a smile. Not once was she ever too busy for me. I consider Dr. Laura a part of my family and everything a doctor should be. I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Laura and the staff are amazing. Very few places (especially medical related) seem to be personally friendly today. Scheduled visits are fast (one we even walked in due to a small emergency) and everyone in there treated us as if we were their only clients and not at all as an inconvenience.We have four kids, maybe more soon, and we have been using Citrus Hearing for the last two years and looking forward to many more trips!

We cannot say enough good things about Dr. Pratesi! She is kind, knowledgeable, professional, engaged, funny and warm. My grandmother moved in with my mom after living alone, we noticed she needed extra volume for everything. We took her to see Dr. Laura who diagnosed total hearing loss in one ear and lower levels in the other. She was wonderful, very kind, knowledgeable, and professional. She recommended a BiCros system that would allow her 360° of sound. She explained that when your ears no longer have the ability to hear the brain loses the capability to pick up auditory cues. The hearing aids not only helped her hear but after a few months of wearing them, she was able to hear better even without the aids in. Its such a relief to be able to speak with my grandmother without raising my voice. She told me it had been years since she was able to hear the crickets sing. Thank you, Dr. Laura for giving my grandmother the gift of sound.

Dr Laura was extremely knowledgeable about my condition, explained the problem in an easily understood way , showed empathy, but most importantly her treatment worked. Her kind and caring manner will keep my family coming back to her.

I brought my 2 year old in today because her ear was hurting. Even though we didnt have an appointment Dr. Pratesi was able to squeeze us in! Turns out my little girl has a full ear infection in one ear, and a developing ear infection in the other ear. Even with the major sensitivity in both ears Dr. Pratesi was so gentle and patient with her! She helped my daughter and myself to calm down and explained what was happening in kids terms for Ellie and adult terms for me. She even let Ellie push the button for the test and gave her a sticker! Very good with kids and helping parents understand what is going on. Will definitely be coming back for future treatments! Thank you Dr. Pratesi!
