Wow, the people working there definitely dont want to be there. So I tried to make an appointment online but it showed none available. I decided to see if they take walk ins. When I got there there was a female worker arguing with another person. I decided to try my luck after and ask her if they allow walk ins. Instead of her simple answering she walked me over to a sign posted on the door which was hidden because the door was open. The sign said no walk ins. I told her ok well I tried to make an appointment and it shows the next 2 Saturdays with no availability. She then rolled her eyes and told me there are tons of appointments available online and walked away.I walked back out into the lobby and another woman told me she was having difficult getting information from the same woman. I walked into the clinic hoping to get someone else to help us and then same woman came up to me. I told her we both checked again and there are no appointments and am I doing something wrong. She showed me on my phone instead of selecting the test u actually need you have to select all other tests. Which is frustrating that the system is set up like that and she didnt explain this to us sooner. My recommendation would be to visit another testing site. I actually ended up going to cvs to get my test done. Low cost and no fuss. Check out your other options. No one deserves to be treated like that.

UPDATE: I was sent to another location where I was assured and was given the paperwork that urine temp is between 90-100! That meant that this Quest Diagnostic Lead was not being truthful as my urine temp was in this range and he wanted it higher. It is very clear he wanted to fail me for whatever reason. As he told me he would fail me and I would lose the job.Luckily, I have an employer who has my back and was able to pull me away from here. I am glad I was able to go to another location where I was treated with respect.I went in today for a pre-employment screening for a new job. I have taken these before for new jobs, so I was familiar with some of the protocols. I followed instructions and right after I was done, the person who was collecting my sample observed it for a few minutes and said the temperature was not right. I was puzzled by what that meant and I was like “ok”. He immediately went up to the front desks girls whispered something and they’re like he’s the best of that, which I thought was odd. He told me I’d have to take it again and provided water for me. I googled online and said that urine is body temperature and I thought it must a fluke. I forced myself to go as quickly as possible hoping I could make it out (I was on my hour lunch break from my other job). I went again and touched the stream coming out and felt it very warm. He came in again and barely looked at it and said it wasn’t the right temperature and that I only had one more chance. Dumbfounded, I asked how that is possible. He implied the urine was not human. I requested if someone could observe me take the test and they said no. I called HR for my new employer and told her the situation. I am pretty sure the lab worker was dead set on failing me because he thought I was trying to pull something. Additionally, he made comments like he’d never seen someone urinate so quickly between the first and second tests. I have a job that I am trying to get back to. They had me there for almost 2.5 hours. HR from my new employer called. I told her the situation and the wild implications this worker was making. She said to go home and that they would send me to a new facility next week. The staff was very rude. Every time I asked a question or inquired clarification I was treated rudely. I kept my calm and was asking the questions any person who is physically urinating into a cup and being told it’s not human urine would ask. Extremely unprofessional and when I asked for the manager this guy said he was the lead and that he was military. Like that somehow makes the situation OK. Should have seen this place has 2.5 stars before I signed up to go here and treated like a criminal.

This place deserves zero stars. My daughter had an appointment on Tuesday 8/18 at this location. We preregistered before said appointment, but still had to wait a long time. It was evident that the two ladies taking my daughters blood were very inexperienced. My daughter has small veins that are hard to find. Hence, any experienced technician would know to use a small needle. The lady used a very large needle. She stuck the needle in and the blood spurted out. She removed the needle and stuck the needle in my child a few more times. She twisted the needle around to no avail. The tech gave up and another tech took over. The second tech continued to use the big needle and proceeded to poke my daughter various times to no avail. By that time my poor daughters arms were bruised and her eyes were watery from the pain. They informed us that they could not take her blood. This whole experience was a painful waste of time. Today my daughters blood was taken at the 3rd Ave office in Chula Vista and the technician did a great job. She used a small needle and took the blood right away at the first try. My daughter informed me that she didnt feel a thing. It was confirmed to us that what happened to my daughter on Tuesday was completely unprofessional. This 4th Ave Chula Vista office is horrible!! those 2 young female technicians need more training and supervision.

Every time I go to a quest lab I leave enraged. Every single time. I went to one today and apparently they stop working before they close, so even if you get there before they close, too bad, they wont do any work. So that place said to go to this one. I got here, not a single person here, but they say theyre only taking appts. Not a single person there. Not 1. I hate Quest. Every single time I leave Im angry

Called prior to going in for a pre-employment drug screen and the recording said that they started at 7:30 AM. I showed up and checked in at 9:20. About a half hour later I was called up to the front desk and told that drug tests now do t start until 10 AM. 10 AM came and passed and I noticed that my name wasnt appearing on the monitor so I approached the woman at the front desk and was greeted with great rudeness and provided no help. I then signed in again . This time my name did appear on the mi Igor but I had to wait an additional 20 mi utes. This place is horrifically managed and I think that Quest needs to fire everyone here and start over.

When I see low rated places I like to tell exactly what my visit was like so people know what to expect. In their defense, this seems like a VERY joyless workplace (for whatever reason). The employees were polite but not friendly. The facility is very worn- dirty would be unfair, but its older and doesnt give you a feeling of cleanliness. The parking lot was pure chaos but I got a spot. I arrived inside the clinic at 9am on a Thurs for a blood panel. There were about 15 people in the waiting room. The Quest website said the walk-in wait time was about 23 minutes. Around 9:20 I got called up for my paperwork and insurance cards. At 9:50 or so I got called back for my blood draw. That part was quick and painless. So, my criticism is the condition of the clinic could use some modernizing upgrades and the staff could use a pep talk. I dont feel like they were moving slowly but the website could have been more accurate about the wait time, and it would be nice if they had another phlebotomist working. But overall, lets be honest: I went for a blood draw without an appointment and it was done within an hour. They did their job with no frills. People with appointments go ahead of you, so I will probably get an appointment next time. Id say 2.5 - 3 stars overall.

Dont do the Saturday walk-in unless you have no other choice. Since the previous reviews, they must have added an electronic sign-in system. It projects how long you can expect to wait, but it is not accurate. 45 minutes on their clock was at least 1:15 in real time. They had three techs, and besides drawing blood, they each had to do the paperwork. There were rooms for probably three more techs, but just one more would have made a difference. This must certainly generate revenue for Quest.Take a sweater or jacket. The cold air blowing down our necks was uncomfortable, especially waiting over an hour. My husbands tech had a hard time getting a good stick. Ouch.

Ive been going here for years, staff has always treated me with TLC and respect. Also impressive is that they remember me by name, even though they only see me about once a year and undoubtedly have seen many thousands of patients in between visits. Nearly every one of my visits theres just one person on duty but theyve always acknowledged me promptly and Ive never had to wait very long. Plus theyre super de duper competent. One poke, done. Not sure what happened with some of the other posters, makes me wonder if they were paid shills for the competition. Totally doesnt mirror my experience.

Ive been to 2 other previous Quest Diagnostic places before this one and they were all super unprofessional and rude, and they turned me away. However, the Quest Diagnostic on 4th Avenue, I found their customer service to be very professional, kind, and patient. It was very fast since we made an appointment. Even though they didnt have the kind of TB test my sons doctor requested, they called them to ask if she be willing for them to do a different TB test. Its very clean for the amount of traffic that comes through here. The phlebotomist was super nice to my son despite not being able to find the vain on the first try. They were trying to be gentle. If we have to do something at the lab again, I am definitely going to go through them again.

QWORST...Go anywhere else for drug screening !!!The web site to select a place to do my test listed hours, that were wrong. When I called this Qworst Clula Vista location, the recording gave hours and they were different and wrong. The recording even gave me an incorrect web site to make an appointment. The only way to find out the drug sceening hours of operation are to show up in person. This place does not value your time.

Awful, awful service. The staff are so unprofessional and rude. I took my mom to drop off a specimen sample, which they forgot to give her the container for when she was there for bloodwork and we had to come again the week after. When we went to pick up the container on a Thursday they told me to collect the specimen for 24hrs and then bring it to the lab and that my mom would need bloodwork as well. We go in on Saturday morning, I tell the receptionist/tech/nurse whatever she was and she told me she needed to electronically sign in. We did and then another person calls my mom and asks to see the doctors orders and I told her we were dropping off a specimen sample and we were told she needed bloodwork done thats why we signed in. She wanted those orders and I told her she got them last week when my mom went in for bloodwork. The urine sample was part of that order, they forgot to give her the container and then apparently forgot that the sample comes with bloodwork. She was very rude. As I walked away to sit down she said stuff behind my back as well. They are very incompetent in doing their work and blame the patients. Also, when we were there, a patient got diarrhea while she went inside and all the staff were being very insensitive about it and holding their noses. Sheesh, theyre techs/nurses and signed up for that as part of their job and they couldnt handle an elderly patient who had an accident. If you can go anywhere else for labs please do so. Besides their rudeness and incompetence, the wait time is incredibly long. The wait time is longer than waiting in line at Disneyland but at least youll enjoy Disney. I would LOVE to give this place negative stars. Theyre not worth not even one stars
