What started out as a terrible morning was made so much better by Mr. Hastings at Hastings Optical. My glasses broke in half, and I searched all over the NRV for some place to repair them. I work right in the town center, and just a block away was my answer. I walked in after visiting another optical office downtown, and Mr. Hastings immediately went to work to assist me. He attempted welding my frames back together but there just wasnt enough surface area to hold them together. So, he searched for a pair of frames that might fit my lenses. Not finding an exact match, he took a pair of frames off the shelf and molded them to fit my lenses, then fitted them for me. I was out the door in under an hour and paid what I felt was a very reasonable price for his time and attention. I moved to Christiansburg last fall after working here for two years and have been in search of a new optician. Folks, there arent many opticians out there who can, or be willing to, do what Mr. Hastings did for me today. He reminded me of my optician growing up, who is now retired. These guys are few and far between. Do yourself a favor, and skip all the fancy high dollar opticians and visit Hastings Optical. Im very glad I did!
