I don’t know where to start! For most of my adult life I was shy to smile as my teeth never looked good. Then, at night, I have started to grind my teeth and was waking up tired. Finally, I decided to do something about it and visited the WL Ortho. From the very first moment, I did fell in love with everyone there. And how could I not? For my first appointment I went with my newborn, and the staff carried my baby on their hands, when Dr. Desai was doing an assessment. Every visit and follow up was so well handled, professional and super safe during COVID. The doctors and their staff are excellent and their standards are absolutely superior. You don’t need to be a teenager to work on a beautiful smile. One of the best decision I have made.

Everyone is friendly, knowledgable, and thorough. Always willing to answer questions and move my treatment along without any judgment. I cant recommend them enough and have loved my experience thus far!

Knowledgable Doctor, Friendly Staff & Super Clean Office! From the beginning, Dr. Arruda took extra time with me to explain the process, what the next 1.5 years would entail and the end goal. Getting orthodontic work for the second time was not ideal, but each team member has made the experience enjoyable! Would highly recommend for all orthodontic work, including invisalign (which I have right now), if youre looking for a team that truly knows what they are doing :)I also have felt very safe & clean entering the office through COVID with their precautionary steps including a pre-appointment questionnaire.

What a disappointing experience, time and time again with WLO. Both my dentist and oral surgeon recommended me to Dr. Arruda, and having gone through nearly half of my treatment with braces, Im truly puzzled how this business is so highly rated.Another poster commented on their scheduling, and they do such a poor job with this. No one should have to schedule themselves, ever. My braces were put in Feb. of 2020, so I had to go through of all lock down with no adjustments. There was a 4 month period where WLO didnt have me in their office once and billed me every single month, and when they opened back up they didnt even call to schedule me, I had to do it myself.In addition to their scheduling, theyre so busy that its impossible to get in the door in a timely fashion. (Which further compounds the scheduling problem.) In the instance your bracket or wire breaks, youre going to have to deal with that for a week minimum in my experience unless someone cancels their appointment.Lastly, the in office COVID experience stinks. The last few times Ive been in there, Ive had to wait in the chair for 20-30 mins before the doctor would see me. There was even an instance where someone was sat down 15 mins after me and they were seen first.I saved for years and years for this treatment, and this is the experience Ive had with WLO. These people dont make me feel like a valued customer, they make me feel like a cash cow.

My sons teeth look good, but Im not really an expert on the quality of orthodontics. Time will tell whether the teeth stay in place or not. I will say that, for $6,000 I would have expected that the orthodontists office would follow up with a reminder when the client needs to make their next appointment. They never do this. The onus is totally on you or your teen-ager to follow up and make the next appointment...in two weeks or in two months, whatever it is. Im pretty sure 10 years from now my son would still have braces if we had forgotten to make the next appointment. This was not related to COVID—my son got his braces long before COVID started and we didn’t get follow up calls then, either.

Everyone at this place is great! I got my braces off a few days ago. I love my teeth! This has been a great experience overall, besides a little pain here and there which is to be expected. If I had 10 stars that’s what I would rate this place! The staff are the most professional, friendliest, welcoming, and responsive staff I’ve experienced. Dr. Arruda and Dr. Desai have taken great care of me with their expertise and knowledge in the field. My teeth were really not the most proud to own but thanks to them I smile with great confidence now. My bite is absolutely perfect!!! I absolutely DO NOT regret seeking orthodontics! Honestly, I’m still in shock and can’t believe they’re my teeth. Big thanks to Kelsey (office manager) and the warmth she exudes when you’re walking into the office. Please don’t second guess your decision to seek orthodontia with the Dr. Arruda’s office, it would be one of the wisest decisions you will ever make!

Everyone from the techs, scheduling coordinator, financial coordinator, to the orthodontists are just fantastic. I don’t think I’ve ever used that word before but they embody it. I’ve lived in Chicago for 3 years and I have never been to a Dentist/Doctor’s Office that did not make me feel out of place until visiting this office. Almost all of the professionals here are women and it makes me feel so empowered and comfortable. Majority, if not all, of the techs and orthodontists are women of color which I have never seen in my 26 years of living. Representation matters! Not only are they extremely professional but they’re also warm and kind. They never fail to get back to me regarding any questions or concerns and they even had video updates throughout their COVID-19 intermission! I absolutely love it here and I’m so glad they’ve assisted me with treatment for the past year. I cannot thank them enough for everything they do. I want to thank Dr. Arudda(spellcheck) for creating such a lovely space with such lovely people!

I completed my first round of orthodontic care at 13 and failed to wear my retainer.... like every single other person on this earth. My bite shifted and I started to get headaches. Thank goodness for West Loop Orthodontics. Dr. A was able to offer me a wide range of options to correct my bite and alleviate the grinding. I have been wearing my Invisalign trays for 2 months and have already seen a pronounced difference. In addition to the excellent care received, I also appreciate the flexibility and accommodations of the front office. I have a 10-month-old who usually travels with me wherever I go. No one blinks an eye as my little girl is rolled into the office in her stroller, and rolled out upon completion of my visit. 5 stars all the way around!!

Kelsey was understanding and flexible with my busy work schedule and 1 hour commute to the office and made it easy for me to schedule appointments and any changes I may have needed. I was referred to West Loop Orthodontics (Dr. Arruda) by my dentist. It was last minute so I didnt know what to expect. To my surprise, the office was neat, clean, and updated! Dr. Arruda was great! First, I was late because I couldnt find the office. She was very patient and understanding and guided me right to the location. Second, I always have a million questions and concerns. Dr. Arruda answered each question (all 100 of them) without hesitation. Overall, it was an amazing experience and I will be returning.
