I am giving a 5 star review because i love Dr Mendoza he has truly made my childrens l experience a wonderful one. I have been bringing my kids in since 2015 and although i dread the hour long drive to the north side it is well worth it. i cant think of one of the front desk girls name but shes always annoyed when i ask a question but now i just stick to alma shes great and more than happy to help thanks again for all your help Dr Mendoza you and your staff are awesome

This dentist came highly recommended from a friend. We’ve gone a few times and overall everything is fine. It could be me but the receptionist have been a bit condescending and the dentist as well. I think the actual work they do is fine so I won’t go off of my own interactions since I’m not there for me. But I wouldn’t come back if this was my dentist talking to me like I just made it to earth yesterday. I’ve had multiple rude interactions and it’s making me regret driving from Oak Park to here.

I have been coming to this dental office for more than 10 years now. Both dental work as well as for braces. Dr. Mendoza is a caring dentist who cares for all his patients. He inspired me to be like him. I love ALL the staff, Dr. Tony, and Dr. Mendoza. Dr. Tony is the best and professional, love to joke around with him. Overall everyone is professional and I recommend you bring your kids for the best dental care.

I took my daughter for braces. I absolutely love this place. Staff is very friendly and they take their time to explain everything. My daughter felt very calm there. I highly recommend this place.

We’ve had a wonderful experience at Chicago Smile Specialist! My two daughters had braces and now I have Invisalign. Dr. Anthony is very friendly and so professional. Everybody is very nice and welcoming.

The doctor Ricardo Mendoza is great with kids. I have been taking both of my kids since they turned 1 and never had a bad experience. He makes your kids feel comfortable and explains to you everything so clear. I had to change dentist due to insurance issues but happy to say im back with them.

The entire pediatric team is outstanding! Every patient is treated with the utmost care. Dr. Mendoza is extremely professional and is very thoughtful and caring to all his patients. Bi recommend this pediatric dental office to all my family and friends.

I have been to this office three times with my son, and each time I have had to wait 30min, 45min, and 30min respectively. The last time I had to leave before we were even seen because I had another child to pick up. I have never been called to tell me they were running late, nor was I made aware during check-in. The receptionist each time was rude and unapologetic. I am completely turned off and will now start seeing a different dentist.We did enjoy the dentist himself, and agree with the other reviews that he was friendly and thorough. I just cannot condone supporting a business who has no regard for their patients time.

This has been my son’s dentist since he was small and Dr.Mendoza is great but after an incident happen .My son asked to no longer return to this dental office because he had to get surgery from not getting the right help right away and the one of the receptionist’s gave my parents the wrong referral for another child. They had to take the referral to UIC and that’s when UIC told them this was not for my child. To top it off they refer us to go to UIC but that location never answered the phone and the receptionist told my mom that in order for UIC to call back we had to leave a referral number with my son’s name. Everyone needs to be retrained at this office because they had my parents going back and forth. Wasting our time and my son was in so much pain. When the receptionist finally gave my parents the correct referral form to be taken to UIC after that my son couldn’t wait on UIC to call back. He was dealing with pain for a month that my son had to be taken to Lurie’s Children Memorial to get admitted to the ER and he had an emergency surgery. Definitely lost my trust with this dentist office and now my son lost trust for you guys. Next time when a kid complains about mouth pain just double check because I don’t want another kids to go through with that pain for a month and have surgery.

My daughter just got her braces off after 2 years and her teeth look great! I highly recommend Dr. Eltink and the entire team of professionals that support him. I appreciate the flexibility in billing and scheduling.

Although listed as a pediatric dentist, I highly recommend Chicago Smile Specialists for any age! Dr. Eltink and his staff have been so great throughout the entire orthodontic process (shoutout to Alma at the front desk!), theyve created a welcoming and comforting environment which Ive felt during each and every visit.I honestly cannot thank them enough for all the work theyve done on my smile, and for being wonderful to work with over the past two years. Ill miss them when my braces are removed!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND to any adult looking for an orthodontist.

We love this place. We definitely recommend Dr. Mendoza, Dr. Tony and all the staff! They are kind, loving people. We started seeing Dr. Mendoza after my 2 year old daughter (who is now 16) had a bad experience with a previous dentist. We were blessed to find Dr. Mendoza. His kindness and the way he cares about kids is what made my then-2 year old love going to the dentist. She never cried. Always left with a smile. My son was 4 back then (hes now 18) and he also never shed a tear. Growing up my kids eventually needed braces so we went through Dr. Tony; And that was also a very positive experience, including the finances! Amazing people, amazing dental office. We love you guys. We also have a special place in our hearts for Alma.

Ive tried a few places to do a cleaning or a normal check up on my 5 yr old yet this place has and will forever me the best place I have ever been.Front desk extremely polite. Wait time is very minimal and the doctor treats him so well my kid doesnt even notice hes getting anything don . 100 percent recommend

My daughter always feels very safe & comfortable going to her appointments because they treat her very well. We will continue to bring her and her sister here as long as we can.

Weve been going to See Dr. Tony for a little over a year now and he is amazing! Dr. Tony is very well versed in what he does and you can tell he enjoys it! Dr. Tony is very thorough making sure as parents we know what services would best benefit our child. I love how amazing Dr. Tony is making sure he includes my child in the explanation of her care. All the staff are also very professional & friendly! We particularly made a connection with Alma whos a jack of all trades. Shes always on top of the insurance making sure our claims are processed, as well as, working with us when it comes to scheduling and always provides a friendly reminder call of our upcoming appointments. She is also very prompt at returning your call! As the busy mom that I am it comes handy! The office is also always very clean and my daughters particularly love the kids waiting are equipped which is equipped with toys, books, a TV and comfy bean bags for the kiddos to sit or lay and relax while we wait. The wait isnt long. If you want quality care, with friendly front desk staff, a clean, safe and private environment I recommend Chicago Smile Specialist to anyone with children your child will definitely receive quality care!

All the staff are very friendly and helpful! Before our Arrival today they made sure to call to confirm we would be showing up and even were nice enough to inform us of current construction going on recommending we come a little early so we didn’t miss our appointment! Dr. Mendoza was also very friendly and great with my daughter! We were given a referral due to her being 5 and needing a rootcanal, so today we went just to have a check up so we know how to move forward. My daughter absolutely HATES the dentist but after meeting Dr. Mendoza and the wonderful ladies in the office she had a wonderful experience and is actually excited to be going back even though she knows she will be getting some work done the next visit. The office is also nice and clean! So thankful today went so well!

Great experience overall. Everyone is super nice and welcoming. They made my son feel comfortable and he is no longer scared of the dentist. They used the nitrous gas and everything went perfect while my son watched some netflix.

This is the best pediatric dentist in the city. Dr. Mendozas truly understands how a dentist visit could be scary. He makes the patients feel very comfortable by explaining to the children every step he is taking. He is always very pleasant and very professional.I have three children who have been attending this location for several years. They are always very content and relaxed when the have their check ups. They feel comfortable asking questions because they know that they will get an answer full of details.The staff are very friendly and interested in helping out and making sure that all questions are answered. There is always a reminder phone call before an appointment. The staff motivate the children to be responsible with their teeth by brushing and flossing daily. The show them how too.The office is very kids oriented with TV screens that are in the rooms as they are getting their procedures done. It is very colorful and clean. It is very organized and the flow of the office runs smoothly.This is the best place in the city and I would not take them anywhere else.

We have been going to Chicago Smile Specialists since my oldest was 2 years old, she is now about to turn 14! We have 3 children 13, 12 & 8.Dr. Rick and his staff are incredible, all of them are are gentle, kind and fantastic with children! We especially love it there because everyone knows our names;). My children feel welcome and excited to go to the dentist---yes excited to have a dentist appointment!! Alma who doubles as a hygienist and front desk staff is absolutely amazing, she takes care of our family as if we were her own! Do not go to any other Dentist, do not pass go, do not collect $200---go to Chicago Smile Specialists:). We have also chosen to have braces put on with Dr. Tony and he is also extremely kind professional and terrific with teens. Came here for braces and they did a great job. Awesome staff! Always helpful and friendly! Really glad my friend referred me to them. I broke my retainer and set back my progress but they are doing so well helping me realign my teeth. If you or your children need braces, please come here!

Highly reccommend! The assistants and doctors are wonderful with children, the decor is cute and its always clean. We also never have to wait after we get checked it, they take us back and get started right away.

I had a few consultations before I decided to get my braces from Chicago Smile Specialists. The staff made me feel comfortable and at home right away. I took my daughter for school check up, the assistant was so nice and patient with her, the dentist very friendly, she needed to come back for a treatment.I called several times to rescheduled my daughters appointment but they never called me back, in the 4th attempt I called them and they apologized for not return my calls and told me the Dentist does not do tratments on Saturdays, the only think he can do for me is a later appointment during the week.My daughter needs a fill in and is unfortunately he is not available on Saturdays.

I have been taking my kids here for several years. Dr Mendoza is so kind and gentle with the kids. My eldest was terrified of dentists after a bad experience with another dentist. All the staff was so patient with her and helped her work thru her fears. I used to dread taking her to the dentist and now it is no problem. Im able to schedule all 3 kids at the same time. Today they had 2 hygentists and the dentist working on my kids. We were done in an hour!My only complaint is that they are very busy so getting an appointment always takes time.

Dr mendoza is very patient and it truly does show that he loves working with children, he explains everything in detail in a way my child can understand. The staff at the front is as well very nice, especialy alma. I will be bringing my child for all her dental needs here

Very good afternoon UIC recommended me to the pediatric dentist that very good with special children. My child could not have x-rays of his teeth because no one had patience. Until I get to this place. The receptionists are so kind to one. They have a waiting room for children with their TV cartoons. Dentist Rodney J. Vergonite is so patient with children that it makes them feel like they are at home. He and his assistants are very kind and the attention he gives to one. I highly recommend this place if your children need a specialist and more with children with disabilities. Thanks Doc. Rodney Vergotine and his assistants.
