Were very happy with Wrigleyville Vet being our vet for our Corgi pup. We initially went with them simply because they could see us soonest (~1wk) after getting our pup. Plenty of other vets wouldnt take new patients or had insane wait times.Weve met and had Drs. Bookstaff, Hardiman, Dudun, and Slossburg and all have been professional, direct, and great to deal with. The team in front is super helpful as well when you have to call in for anything (thanks, Chris!).Today our lil dum-dum ate a packing foam sheet while out and about and thankfully they could get us in ASAP to get it out. Billing, payments, and records are handled easily and you get your records electronically and in a flash.Anyway, we highly recommend them to anyone and theyve been great for our little Chorizo! If I HAD to offer any critical feedback, its that I wish they were taking new dogs for boarding because wed trust them for that (call me! Let us in! Haha), and cant wait for COVID stuff to be over so we can go in the lobby upon arrival as its so open and pretty. All in all, two thumbs up for Wrigleyville Vet and the care they provide.

This place is great !Were here for a few months with our dogs and the older one developed a gooey discharge from her eyes. We called on a Saturday afternoon and they had an opening the next morning (Sunday). Imagine a vet thats open 7 days a week ! They were very thorough with the exam and sent us home with the proper medication. Yes, its a little pricier than a standard vet practice but this facility is state-of-the-art and could handle anything from a routine visit to a serious emergency. I feel much better knowing theyre just a block from our place.

Brought my puppy in for her first wellness exam and had a great experience! Scheduling the appointment was easy, we got in within the week, they were quick to respond with emails and gave reminders leading up to the day. Dr. Hardiman took the time to answer my many questions and perform a thorough exam. They are an extremely busy practice yet the appointment did not feel rushed at all. Thank you!

Weve been using WV for just about year now. And, at first, I was a huge fan. Even when things went a little off-track, they were quick to get on it and I was always pleased with where they landed. In the last three months, Ive noticed a few things that are beginning to give me pause -- mostly because this is a premium facility and Im happy to pay that premium for a more personalized level of service and care. Regardless, the experience is beginning to feel more like take a number, and we cant accommodate you today, or theres nothing available until... when my problem is immediate (admittedly, for me...). I am increasingly less excited about this facility, which really stinks. They were amazing at the outset. Happy to see them grow but as customers and pet caretakers, were feeling increasingly taken for granted.

Such an amazing experience! Dr. DeSollar is our Vet and she was so caring for our dog and extremely patient. I came with 10-15 questions and she listened to all the questions and clarified everything before she began working with our dog. She spent 5-10 minutes letting our baby girl warm up to her and was just so amazing in her care for her. She followed up a few days after to ask how our girl was doing. The staff and team at WV is next level! Matt and Kendra were amazing! All of em were great and so friendly and helpful. I asked for notes from the visit and got a detailed document the next morning. We will forever be WV’ers!

Amazing vets and staff - Always kind and caring, super helpful, and always took the time to answer my questions. We saw three different vets over our time here so far and each one is WONDERFUL. As a first time dog owner, it was so relieving to find a vet center that truly cares about all their animals AND the animals owners! The Wellness Plan option is a huge plus and saves you a ton of money. 1000/10!!!

They were able to get my cat in on quite short notice and on a Sunday, quick and responsive. He was having upper respitory issyes. Vet was upfront about costs - gave me multiple options, and even though I went with the higher-end (bloodwork and labs), I still would have been able to get him medicine and treatment at a very reasonable price with the lower option.

I truly cannot express the high level of care and comfort that I received in a hard situation with this clinic. I was in need of emergency care for my little guy and was turned away by my regular vet with an option to schedule a week later. I found Wrigleyville Veterinary and was told to bring him in immediately. The tech and the Vet talked me thru what was the hardest decision I had to make. They made the experience painless for my little man and stayed with me through to the end. All of my Vet care will be with this center only going forward. I will be forever grateful for the compassion and care.

We cant recommend the doctors and staff at Wrigleyville Vet enough. When our new pup, Theo, was diagnosed with Parvo, Dr. Hardiman and Dr. DeSollar were extremely honest, supportive and communicative throughout the entire scary experience. They talked us through the treatment plan, answered the many questions and concerns we had, gave us updates on his condition at least twice a day, and even emailed an adorable video the morning he finally started feeling better. Theo is now making a full recovery and we beyond grateful to have them as our local vet!

I switched here from my old vet at west loop because their prices were more affordable. But the prices have gone up and theyve taken on so many new patients you cant get in to see anyone for weeks. The front desk representatives seem overworked and impatient when I call to ask questions and the last time my cat had a uti I couldnt get an appointment for over a week. I called to get a consult estimate for a very specific surgery and the front desk girl gave an estimate that differed $500 from low to high and then couldnt explain to me what she was estimating for when I was asking for a specific service. Then she told me it might even be more depending on what services I got. I booked elsewhere. I understand that surgical procedures can differ in price depending on the circumstances, but when I say flat out that Im comparing prices from one vet to another and I need the cost on three very specific procedures, I should be able to be given some more accurate idea than maybe 900, maybe 1200+ and up to 1500. The other vet gave me an estimate for the same services with no issue.Taking on so many new patients you cant see your existing ones is a bad practice. Even regular doctors dont do that. Theyve basically forced me into picking another vet. So good job, I guess, youve lost a very long time customer.Edit: since whoever responds to these likes to apparently purposefully make the reviewers look bad in order to, I assume, invalidate the review, Ill say the following: yes, I did have an appointment the day I wrote this review I was late to by twenty two minutes, not over thirty, WHICH I JUST VERIFIED ON MY PHONE CALLS. I purposefully left that appointment OUT of the review because I was late to it and I wasnt going to review on a mistake that was mine. I also did not hang up the phone before you could help me. I was told the next available appointment wasnt for five days after I apologized and said I could come in immediately. I told the receptionist to just cancel the appointment because I didnt have five days to wait. I was already feeling super frustrated with yall; my being late to a single appointment has nothing to do with that frustration and does not invalidate the review I gave. Additionally, the appointments Ive made have been made over a week to a week and a half in advance as the only available options, even when the pets are ill, so what I said is not untrue in the slightest. Why yall lying? Now you get one star. The fact that you took the time to write a condescending response instead of actually looking at what I said and addressing the issues with your staffs attitude and the rest blows my mind but I guess ultimately proves my point.

I found Wrigleyville prior to relocating back to Chicago after 12-years, first time with pets in tow. I had just closed a rather contentious relationship with a vet clinic in Denver (in fact I fired them for the games they played with me and my fur children) and was nervous about finding on here in town. I did review the commentary here on Google and was still cautious. But I was impressed with Dr. Bookstaffs credentials and figured I would give it a shot. I have been so impressed with the preciseness, professionalism, and friendliness of this clinic. They are willing to explain everything to you, even if you dont get it the first time. They are overall just great. My pup just was neutered by them, literally the day before I wrote this, and they were fantastic with being proactive and ensuring I am well supported while supporting a rather unhappy pup (merely because of surgery in general, not anything they did). The only thing I may not be to fond of is the hand off procedure with COVID precautions in effect. But, if that is the only thing I am a little miffed about, I definitely feel we have found our vets for life in Wrigleyville Vet. I definitely recommend them!

Came to Wrigleyville to establish care for my two elderly dogs after moving to Chicago. Weve had 3 appointments here now for checkups, labs, and a dental. They are SO busy and overwhelmed, and the staff can be pretty hit or miss. Some staff are cheerful, others answer the phone with a sigh and can be impatient (prob due to being busy). Months-long wait to get an appointment. Despite the expected pandemic challenges, Ive had a couple of negative experiences that will cause me to look elsewhere for care:1. Defensiveness/gaslighting from Dr. Hardiman - The wrong follow-up labs were drawn on both dogs due to a miscommunication. I understand that people are busy and mistakes happen, but what *really* got me was the fact that rather than just apologize and make it right, he got defensive and blamed me for not coming in sooner for the bloodwork (nevermind the fact it took me over a month to get that appointment). I was in tears after that conversation because his comment left me feeling like my dogs progressing kidney disease was my fault. I know its not, and Im doing the best I can on my schedule and budget, but damn.2. Brought the above dog with kidney disease in for a dental cleaning, an appointment I waited 3 months for. She is 14 and needed some extractions, so naturally I was a little anxious. Got a call at 1:30pm touching base during the procedure to say my dog had gone into heart block and had been a little unstable under anesthesia. Then not a single call all afternoon from anyone to say she was ok. I finally called them at 5:30pm just to make sure she was ok/alive. After no further communication all evening, I decided to drive over there anyway and showed up outside just before closing time... the lights were off and all. It was like they forgot her??Im trying to be sensitive to how the pandemic has probably affected things as they were clearly very busy, but I cant really find an excuse for Dr. Hardimans snarky comment. It was really impossible to build trust with this practice after that.My constructive comment for the practice would be to take even 60 seconds to have someone (anyone, really) call the pets owner just to say hey, surgerys over and theyre ok. The details/updates from the doctor can wait, but a quick phone call could have saved a lot of stress for me that day. Also thank you to Dr. DeSollar for her empathy as I was pretty anxious by 8pm lol.

Full disclosure I have only been here for their veterinary services and both of these times have been during COVID so I have literally never walked into their office. They do a great job taking care of the pups without us being there, which is great because one ours freaks out at the sight of the front door. It does seem like the techs can be a little hit and miss with their coordination at times - relaying info between the vets and us. While theres never been a bad experience it does feel like they work hard to turn a profit, offering maintenance plans and additional services with every visit. In one specific event our dog went in for his vaccines and then I received a reminder 2 months later that he was due for a rabies shot. Its hard to think that couldnt have been done during the one visit. Overall taking the doggos there feels pretty transactional, but thats understandable given the situation. I will continue to go here in the future and plan to update this review once we are able to step inside.

I have never left a review anywhere before. I am beyond frustrated with this office— my cat will be having his third appointment in a month and it is entirely due to their vets not doing a thorough job. It’s more expensive than any other vet I’ve been to and they wouldn’t even reduce or waive the re-check fees for the follow up appointments even though it was their fault. I wanted to get my cat back in ASAP, but I had to wait an extra day because sunday appointments have extra “convenience fees,” another thing I’ve never experienced at other vets. Every phone call I’ve had with vets (no in-person right now or video during apts) has felt rushed. Customer care person was polite and everything, just bad policies and practices. go somewhere else.

My sweet little Jazzy is going through a tough time at the moment - we’re trying to get her newly diagnosed CKD under control. We’re close to “frequent flyer” status at this point (5+ visits in under 3 weeks). The staff - specifically the front desk and intake staff and Dr. DeSollar - have been so kind, informative, reliable, available, and patient with my 8464648 questions and, more importantly, with Jazzy. They are able to offer a variety of appointment times so I can schedule with Dr. DeSollar, they’re very good about offering different treatment plans (but make a strong recommendation with good reason when I need their expertise), have appropriate medication/supplies/food on hand, and are always there to listen, take notes, and follow up quickly when I call between appointments. Dr. DeSollar even took the time to use her super smart vet brain to calculate the appropriate dose of a medication I had ordered from Chewy - not from them - to make sure Jazzy was going to get the correct dosage. I landed at Wrigleyville vet because of location and necessity, but will stick with them by choice. My kitty is well taken care of here, and at the end of the day, that’s the most important thing.

Im not typically a fan of online reviews, but my experience with Wrigleyville seems important to share.I was excited to find a new vet after moving to Chicago, but my first experience was very rough. The clinic staff elected to perform care I didnt ask for or need without verifying first. I called three times prior to my visit to say exactly what I needed done, and they ignored all of those calls and charged me for the additional services. I wasnt notified about any of these until the bill was due.On top of that, they called me back to pick up my dog but forgot to tell anyone in clinic - I waited more than an hour outside their front door before someone realized they needed to go grab my dog. The staff watched me through the window the entire time (while bringing other dogs out to their owners) without bothering to check why I was there for so long.

We recently moved to Chicago and my frenchie must have scratched his eye. He was squinting for a few days and his conjunctiva (white part) was red. The first appointment I could find anywhere was here, and though his eye was 95% healed by that time, I wanted to establish care somewhere. I loved the receptionist I spoke to and felt good. They explained after intake/triage the procedure was to call me to talk about potential tests to run and get my approval first. No one ever called. 45 mins later, we were told we could pick him up with a call from Dr Hardiman that his eye was indeed mostly healed, but he gave us eye drops to be “extra cautious.” I wasn’t thrilled that no one called me to authorize the testing, but my husband (who picked our dog up and spoke to Dr Hardiman on the phone) said he really liked him, so I didn’t complain. The next morning I woke up to my poor dog’s eye completely shut, very red, and he was aggressively clawing at it. I hadn’t given him drops, and nothing else had happened. When I called the vet, they told me it must have happened when they “scraped his eye” (a procedure I never agreed to). No one told us at pickup that they had caused further trauma to the eye and he could be worse. When we called worried and upset the next morning, they told us we could come PURCHASE a cone to stop my dog from scratching due to the damage they caused. I also asked to speak to the vet, since I gave them a healthy dog and was returned an injured dog, and he never called us. I had to follow up with the receptionist 3 times to even get revised care instructions before close. Full disclosure, because this is COVID I never met Dr Hardiman or interacted with the staff in person. I understand there are emergencies and vets are busy, but if I give a veterinarian my pet, he runs tests that injure him without my approval or telling me the risks, and I call to figure out what happened, the veterinarian who ran the tests should take 5 minutes (even after close!) to call me and explain what happened. I also understand mistakes happen. Had Dr Hardiman called and demonstrated that he cared that his test unintentionally injured my pet and given us revised instructions, I would not have written this review.I have had very few overtly bad vet appointments. Eye issues are dangerous for pets, which is one of the reasons I insisted on making an appointment when every vet was full and my dog’s eye was essentially healed. A day later his eye is still shut and he woke up clawing at it again - and still no call fromDr. Hardiman. There are too many other highly rated vets in this city. I really suggest any new patients go elsewhere.

Changing my review to a 1 star from a 5 from when I started using them from when they first opened. The vet side of things should really be held separately than their daycare, boarding side of things - which is the worst. As someone who has been using their services and spent thousands of my dollars here for care once I needed them the most they decided to shut down their boarding to revamp their services because they didnt know how to operationally handle the requests, yet they were increasing prices all along. They were not redirecting customers to anywhere, they simply told me to google it. Anyone with a brain and a dog in chicago knows its impossible to get your dog in anywhere to be interviewed due to high demand. It was months before I could get him into anywhere.I wont be spending my money to go to this establishment any more until I start seeing reviews that this placed turned it around.
