We also always appreciate the love and care all staff show to our pets. Overall, we receive excellent veterinary care.

Very thrilled with Baileys vet visit! The team was super helpful, professional, and did a great job of making Bailey feel comfortable. Bailey isnt a big fan of the vet, but this was by far the easiest vet appointment Ive ever had. Shes a nervous dog, but handled the entire visit well thanks to the awesome attention and care your team showed to her.

I saw a kitten get hit by a car on LSD so I stopped to grab it. I searched the nearest vet and Good Vets was the closest one. I ran inside with the cat squealing and bleeding kitten and without a pause, the women at the front desk took the kitten to the back and started helping it. This vet was amazing. I 100% recommend. They are in it for the animals, not the money.

The staff at Good Vets are always kind and compassionate. Although my cats dislike going to the vet (because theyre cats), I know they are in good hands when theyre there. Id definitely recommend this vet!

I really liked how we were able to come inside the clinic and that the vet gave us a free sample of Revolution! The vet and the tech were very thorough with explaining to us all the procedures and tests that were done. the thorough explanations of all the medical tests/procedures done to our fur babies!

A couple of weeks ago I had an emergency with my dog - he was vomiting and had excessive bloody diarrhea. I tried calling several emergency vets who all refused to see him after acknowledging this was a serious emergency and he needed to be checked out immediately. Finally, I called GoodVets in Streeterville and even though they had a packed schedule they allowed me to bring him in immediately. The staff and doctor were absolutely wonderful! Their treatment was comprehensive and at no point did I feel they were overselling me (many offices would when youre in a stressful situation and just trying to do what is best for your beloved pet). I 100% would highly recommend GoodVets to anyone looking for an amazing vet! Will be switching to them for both of my dogs general care.

My dog entered his twilight years not too long ago and has begun to experience a number of different health issues. Navigating these unfamiliar issues and determining what is best for my little guy continues to be a source of considerable stress. This office has made this difficult process exponentially easier, and I am extremely grateful for their support. Every person that I have interacted with has been kind, empathetic, patient, professional, and responsive. In particular, Dr. Shauer has been extraordinarily attentive, patient, and responsive despite my incessant calls. The entire front office staff is also wonderful and have talked me through distressing situations on more than one occasion. Moreover, they have been able to secure needed medications for us within a matter of hours. I cannot recommend this office more highly and feel lucky to have their support in dealing with this.We enjoyed our experience at Goodvets prior to the development of some of our dogs more serious issues as well. My nervous (and often aggressive) dog has clearly preferred his time at Goodvets to any of the other vets I have taken him to in the last 15 years. He regularly cuddles up to Goodvets staff, something I had not seen him do at any Vet prior to this.Rocky appreciates everything as well!

This is the best vet I have ever been to. I had a terrible time getting my cat in the carrier I was scratched & my cat was wailing & hiding in a corner when we 1St arrived. As soon as I spoke to a lovely woman at the desk I felt calmer she brought my cat water & asked if I needed anything. Then when Dr. Shower walked in it was like Ahhhh. My cat came to him & he got blood cleaned ears & other procedures & not a peep out of my cat. I will tell everyone I know about Goodvets its the best vet Ive been to in 35 years. Thank you Goodvets for everything. And I never post anything but Goodvets deserves anything I can do for them.

This is by far the worst clinic I have ever been to. They gauge you for services that you dont need and turnover is high. Stay away from this place if you care about your pet.

If you live in the neighborhood this is the place to go. Its expensive but so is every other vet in the city. Everyone is always attentive and takes their time to answer questions etc. Their automated scheduling system is easy to use, the web portal is convenient to keep track of when to get his shots etc, they respond quickly to e-mails, invoices are e-mailed as well so easy to file claims for insurance etc. Get your preventative meds on chewy though!

This place used to be so great, but things have really gone downhill. I was one of the original patients and have seen firsthand the decline in service over the past few years. It seems that management is more interested in profit than in helping animals, which a quick Glassdoor review confirmed.Cat Issue: we adopted a new cat and were required to set up veterinary care within 5 days. He also had an issue with his eye that I wanted looked at sooner than later. GoodVets did nothing to accommodate us. Their first available was more than 5 days out. We brought our cat to our old vet same day and turns out he needed to see an ophthalmologist. So glad I took him elsewhere!Dog Issue: my dog has several health problems - part of having an aging animal. I called this morning because she was having trouble breathing. I spoke to the same associate, Elyse, as a week ago during the cat issue. She did nothing to try to get us in and said first available was 4 days out. Once again, I brought my dog to her old vet and she was seen immediately. Turns out my dog is quite sick and waiting 4 days for care could have been detrimental.Elyse mentioned they don’t have availability because they are understaffed. While I understand there are labor shortages in the current environment, Glassdoor shows me these issues had been there pre-pandemic. Management hasn’t done enough to retain staff leading to an unreliable vet.When you have a pet with health issues, you need a vet who is reliable and willing to put animals’ health above profits. I’m disgusted.

The staff was sweet to our puppy and the vet was very helpful and informative. I had plenty of time to discuss a treatment plan with the vet and never felt rushed. I also felt that we went home with all our bases covered and a well-thought-out plan for how to keep our puppy healthy.

We moved to Chicago from AZ and needed a vet for our dachshund, Napoleon. We don’t own a car so we needed something close by that would be easy to get our dog to. Good Vets fit that bill, being only a 15 minute walk away but I must admit I was hesitant to go to Good Vets because they APPEAR (I don’t know this for a fact) to be a franchise of sorts, as they have a few different locations across downtown. I figured if it was a franchise, we would be just another number, but boy was I wrong. We see Dr. Griffin and she is wonderful. Upon our initial visit she took the time to answer all our MANY questions and we didn’t feel rushed at all. While we have only physically seen her for 1 visit, we have had numerous phone calls from her as she follows up on nutrition, bloodwork and surgery that he has had with other veterinarians for his myriad of special health issues. She checks in to see how he is doing and if he needs anything. After seeing the same vet in AZ for his entire 12 years of life, it was going to be hard to find another vet that we felt we could trust with our furbaby, and we definitely found that in Dr. Griffin.

GoodVets has been great with Remy. Its always easy to get an appointment, even at the last minute. The online system is convenient, its easy to keep track of when hes due for an appointment, and most importantly, I feel that the vets and staff are caring and good at what they do.

I came in to get my 1 cat’s nail clipped (I was an issue with soft paws) and brought both cats (for emotional support) they charged me for 2 exams even though I told them it was just emotional support to have them both there and I had another appointment in the week for a shots bc they said they could not do the shots at this appt. At the second appointment they charged me again for 2 exams. The man said he was not a vet at the first appt and could not do the shot but when I inquired about the charges I was told he was a vet (which is why they charged me? ) I was very specific I did not want to duplicate the exams & charges when I made the appt and when checking in. No one cared to correct it when I addressed it to the front desk.Additionally - they had their weights wrong they had both animals for the same weight. I had to point it out and they went back to the vett / tech (not sure at his point).Disappointing to have this experience being new to this vet. The lack of detail and care for smaller details has me concerned with the overall care.

Although I do not use this particular location for my veterinarian needs, I just used them for a grooming experience that was well worth every penny. They have a phenomenal staff. Very pleasant, organized and caring. We brought Dolce here to be groomed. Since it is primarily a veterinarian location, they did a free wellness check on Dolce before grooming him. I would definitely recommend this location as a primary place to take your pet to be fully groomed. Dolce was extremely excited after being groomed. We are very happy with the outcome. Had to take my cat in for what I now know is a thyroid problem. The staff is professional and helpful. They pick your pet up from your car in the parking lot and the doctor calls you during the examination and then they bring your pet back. Very efficient and professional!!!

Going to GoodVets was a game changer! Dr. Lauren Redies was awesome and able to vaccinate my dog when other vets were unable to. The whole staff treated me and my dog like family and id highly recommend to anyone in the area!

This was our first time to visit the vet, we adopted the 2 years old cat two months ago. We brought him here because he vomited a couple of times and refused to eat. The vet team treated him pretty well, and we are considering to have the primary vet in here. Cat is at home now, still not eating after 10 hours back from the hospital, behaviors are fine beside of this, will keep looking.

Everyone is so friendly and caring! Yamuna gets nervous in the car on the way to the vet, but when she gets there and recognizes all the vet techs and vets, shes so excited and happy! The fact that everyone who works there knows Yamuna, remembers her, and loves her is the best part.Everyone there makes me feel very safe in terms of Yamunas safety and not once has anyone made me feel bad or laughed at me for bringing her in over a small concern or one that solved itself overnight!

Goodvets is awesome for pet owners. They always recognize my dog and she is always so excited to see them. They are very consistent about following up after treatments, and the prices are also much more reasonable than some vets or animal hospitals around the Chicago area. Once, they even called to see how my dog was doing after she had been treated at an entirely different vet, which was greatly appreciated. I hope that Goodvets continues to provide such great and caring services!

This is my third vet beside a specialty vet. Im completely happy with them, They are thorough, they listen, arent dismissive, and sincerely care about the dog by talking to him and making him feel comfortable instead of, hell be fine. Everyone is always very kind, and very sensitive to budget, making it clear what is essential and what would be highly recommended and what might be useful/helpful , but not absolutely necessary for now (as in my case, x-rays). They dont push services or products on you that you dont need.

The vet here seemed okay, but the vet techs do not inspire confidence.First, one of them didnt know whether my cat was white or a calico, so she left it blank on the rabies certificate such that another tech had to call back to ask. My cat is covered in spots!Next, I had to cancel an appointment because I tested positive for COVID, and I asked that the vet call me to discuss how to keep my cats safe from it. I had to ask three times on three consecutive days before getting a call back from the vet.The third time I called, the vet tech said, Im pretty sure pets cant get Covid from humans... which is just totally untrue per the CDC, everything weve known since like March, and the vet herself when I finally got a call back.I know the techs arent doctors, but this is your job. If you cant tell what color a cat is, and if you dont know by now that cats can contract Covid from humans, Ive gotta take my girls elsewhere!

I cant say enough great things about Dr. Stecher and her team at GoodVets. She has taken such wonderful care of our girl, Tortee Bear. Tortee Bear has had multiple health issues that were always diagnosed and treated expertly. Her road to recovery was not a straight line, but Dr. Stecher has improved the quality of Tortees life immensely and in turn, improved ours. You could not ask for a more dedicated, competent and caring professional. I enthusiastically recommend her to everyone I know.The facilities here are top notch and the staff is friendly and caring. They even have a special bed (pictured) and fleece blankets for cats who get anxious during vet visits. Pheromone diffusers also help to calm anxious patients. As a result, our girl has never felt more at home during her visit. She never in a hurry to leave!We will continue to visit GoodVets for as long as they will have us!

Physician (Neurology, Biochemical Genetics, Molecular Genetics) perspective: The sign of a good medical practice is how firmly they embrace their commitment to patient care. After having a discussion with their COO, I was that they are committed not only to patient care but to being an asset to those living in the Streeterville area. Streeterville has a high density of people and pets which pose health care challenges that are unique to urban lifestyles. I believe GoodVets is evolving their practice to be sure that they are aligned with the needs of the community. I am confident that they will require their veterinarians and staff to adhere to principles of putting their patients first. My discussion was both enlightening and reassuring.

I have nothing but great things to say about our experience here. All of the staff were great with my very timid/shy dog, they were thorough and efficient, the office was incredibly clean, and they were sure to answer all my questions and provide me with evidence-based answers. Highly recommend!

My dog recently had a hernia repair and a complicated orchiectomy. The surgery was a success and my baby is recovering very well. Dr. Demarco is definitely very skilled at his job. The staff is professional. I had recently left my dogs previous vet due to unfair pricing and inadequate care. I also felt that previous vets would try to overcharge because they assumed that the customer doesnt know better and will pay for unnecessary or even harmful procedures. I feel that the care my dogs have received at GoodVets has been fairly priced, and even more importantly, high quality. I am extremely pleased with GoodVets. Would highly recommend.

I stopped in recently with my cat Patti to see if I could get some advice from a vet about my upcoming cross-country move. Now, I know all cats are crazy, but Patti is a special specimen. I wasnt sure how well this would go over. Upon arriving at the office, I was pleasant surprised by the aesthetics. The feel was very modern, giving off more of a relaxing vibe like a yoga studio than the doctors office vibe I was expecting. The staff at the front desk were kind and inviting and I was seen shortly by the vet. To be honest, I cat hardly lets me touch her let alone anyone else. This vet must have the magic touch, because she had Patti subdued in moments. I was able to have her claws clipped as well as got the advice I needed as to how to best manage Pattis stress on the upcoming road trip. Great experience overall! If I wasnt moving, I would be back, no questions asked!

Really bad experience, they suggested a life long steroids cure for my 7 months puppy for a suspect allergy. Checked with a dermatologist and also the medication recommendations, it can’t be prescribed until the dog is at least 12 months old. Very upset, I changed vet immediately.

Facility is very clean, modern, and welcoming. Every staff member we’ve encountered (front desk, techs, Dr. DeMarco) have all been very friendly and the service has been very thorough. We have two dogs, one of which is a puppy, and the vet gave us as much time to ask all of our questions about their varying care needs and behavior since we’ve never had two dogs before. Just got our puppy neutered there and they give you a call throughout the day to let you know how everything is going.The service is on the pricier side, but my wife and I feel what we get in terms of quality care, comfort and location convenience makes it worthwhile and a great place for our two pups.PS - Dr. DeMarco is kind, knowledgeable and very patient. We highly recommend him to any potential first time visitors.

Modern, clean place with the nicest people ever when there or talking with them through email or on the phone. Mason was very nervous--they were very patient & offered in chicken broth & other healthy treats. The exam was performed on the floor with cuddles instead of the scary table. I highly recommend this vet!

Great people and place. Theyve put protocols in place for this time of covid that distance pets and people and still provide for the big and small things our animals need. My dachsy needed a nail clip badly, and I would not normally have taken him to a vet for that--but hey--GoodVets was happy to accommodate. We zipped over, I waited outside and five minutes later I had my pup back with normal length nails. Thanks GoodVets Streeterville.

This place is fantastic. The staff is incredibly kind and thoughtful, the building, waiting room, and examination rooms are modern and spotless.It is a bit on the expensive side, but it’s a high end vet in the heart of the city — you get what you pay for!

My wife and I were visiting Chicago for the weekend with our dog. He developed a problem with his eye. We called our vet back home who said we should get him into a vet if possible. My wife and I called numerous vets in the area and none could get us in or called back. GoodVets promptly called us back and was able to get our dog seen that day. He is doing much better. The staff and team at GoodVets was friendly, helpful and gave great care. We were in and out in 30 minutes or so. Would highly recommend.

I took Kirby (my labradoodle) to Good Vets Streeterville and could not be happier with the results! Stephanie did a great job of cutting Kirbys coat so that keeping Kirbys face full and fluffy - definitely his best haircut to date! She also gave me some tips as to how to clean his ears to prevent from buildup in between grooming sessions. Thanks Stephanie!

A newly opened vet office but I had worked with Dr. Stecher before. She is great. Gorgeous facilities. Friendly staff. Took plenty of time to work with my special needs kitty. Validated my parking. My kitty has never been so relaxed at a vet before and she has always been well taken care of in the past- so that is saying something.

They vets do a decent job but the business end has always been problematic. In this time of social distancing they refuse Venmo on account of the extra 1% it takes over square.

I STRONGLY recommend this vet. My family Golden Retriever was in town and somehow swiped a chicken wing bone off the street and swallowed whole, in a matter of seconds, before I could fish it out of his mouth. Living in the building above this place, I frantically called them and they told me to come in and they would take a look. I arrived, completely emotional and they handled the entire situation with complete professionalism. Everyone was so kind to us and treated by eager, happy, crazy Golden as if they were his own, while calmly explaining all the information to me. They saw him immediately, no wait time. Will recommend this place to everyone, top-notch care and service.

I just had my second appointment with GoodVets. I have a 7 month old puppy. I initially had an appointment because I was under the impression that he was missing a required vaccine. I went back and forth with GoodVets several times before tracking down his records from the shelter he’s from. Understandable that it was difficult and I do not fault GoodVets for that. What did upset me, though, was the communication after receiving his records. Goodvets went back and forth several times on whether they had what they needed. They also confirmed that he did need the required vaccine. The morning of the first appointment, I called to make sure we had all of the records we needed. I was told we were all set. I show up and the receptionist, who had said we did have everything we needed, said we didn’t. Noticing the immediate annoyance on my face, she said she’d track it all down. Now I will say, the staff is very friendly, but there were several red flags. The first, I watched them weigh him. Approximately 52 lbs. when the tech comes in, he says 65 lbs. weird.... but I assumed it was a miscommunication. Then, the vet comes in. He DOES have the required shot they told me he was missing, but they recommended $500 worth of optional shots. Did they lie to me just to get me in the door? Fine, we’ll get the shots if you recommend them. My biggest concern was having his nails trimmed. He has black nails and they are scary to do, but I assumed a vets office of all places would do it. They bring him back with two done and the rest long. They admitted he was stressed and they recommended a sedative to help if we brought him back. He’s a puppy and I felt that was unnecessary, but they’re the experts. When I picked up the sedative a few weeks later, in preparation for his follow up appointment, I was very disappointed in the complete lack of care or information I was given. Red flag number one, they told me to give him 1.5-2 pills. IS IT 1.5 OR 2, I AM NOT THE MEDICAL EXPERT. ( I asked around and did some research and found that the dosage is weight based and chose to give him 1.5, but why on earth did they not make that decision as a vet instead of leaving it to a complete dog medicine rookie?). In addition to this, I had questions about how, when, and what I should do to give it to him. The receptionist did her best to help me, while going back and forth to the back to ask questions because no tech or vet would come forward and answer my questions. The day of the appointment, I give him the sedative and the appointment seems to be going well. I feel much more confident in the tech and front desk presence. Then I inquire about the nail trim, as I was told that if I gave him the sedative they could do it. This time, no nails are trimmed and they bring him back and say he’s too stressed. This time I had a hard time buying it. Do any dogs like having their nails trimmed? Again, it is medically necessary to trim a pets nails. Do you refuse any other medical procedure when a dog is uncomfortable? I asked the tech what I should do and she mentioned that he may need full sedation.... ummmm.... THIS IS A PUPPY! I will be going elsewhere for all of his care and I do not recommend seeing them to anyone with a dog that does more than just lays there while being poked and prodded.

Goodvets Streeterville is the best vet I have ever been to! I usually don’t take the time to write reviews, but feel compelled to after my amazing experiences with Goodvets. They take the time to get to know you and your animal, explain everything throughly, and make sure you are comfortable, informed, and follow up when needed. My dog recently got ill and they have squeezed us in every time to make sure my dog gets the care he needs.
