Took both my pets for their 1 year wellness check up and shots. Dr Cresswell and the entire team are outstanding. They answered my questions thoroughly, anticipated my needs, and they were friendly. I don’t know how they do it!

I’m not a person that writes poor reviews nor am I a person to complain but the experience we have had going to Blum Animal Hospital has been more than upsetting. We have been going for a little over a year bringing our 1 year old puppy. Ever single time we’ve gone, we have had to wait outside for at least 15 minutes (past our apt) sometimes up to 35 minutes, which we would be okay with if it were communicated with us. Almost every time we have gone, our dog has had to see a new vet that does not know his profile and is unprepared. He is not a difficult dog, just a high energy puppy and we understand that. However, during each session apt they call us to tell us how poorly behaved he has been and is biting (which we have NEVER seen him do). It worries me why my dog is so upset every time he goes there. He is well trained and has never exhibited problem behavior. During his last apt, I was asked if I wanted to go in or take a call with the vet during the session and I was unable to go in because I had to drop off my partner, and they said that was perfectly fine and that the vet would call us. 10 minutes later we received a call saying they couldn’t “restrain” our dog and that we needed to pick him up and reschedule our appointment. Again, I was shocked to hear this. I am hoping that my dog has not been labeled at a problem dog, and if he was I wish they would have asked me to go in with him (to help calm him down) before the appointment not when I am 10 minutes away already 20 minutes late to do their poor time management. I am also hoping that everyone has had better experiences and maybe ours was just an unfortunate rarity; however we will be trying a different vet clinic in the future. I apologize if this is taken the wrong way, we just want adequate care for our doggo.

Dr. Enriquez is so nice and knowledgeable and the vet techs are all super nice and amazing too! I’ve taken my dog here for a couple years and would definitely recommend it to anyone

What can I say? Unfortunately, yesterday Tuesday June 29th my poor little man had to be put down at this very vet however it most definitely was not their fault. Im glad they were able to do the best they could to keep him calm and sedated enough to pass away peacefully and with less pain than he would have at home with such a panicked family. I hold no grudge or anything else whatsoever with the first assistant who was only doing her job and was trying to give us an actual emergency hospital for animals since they did not have the equipment nor proper treatments on hand for what my little man had come in with. I do apologize to the doctor who helped us and to the whole team here who had to push back their patients just for us but Im glad that they were willing to do what they could for us what many others didnt unless paid upfront. The doctor and her technician(s) were very helpful and Im forever grateful that they succeeded where others couldnt, they dropped everything and went straight away with no questions so thank you. I wish I could have gotten the doctors name, or maybe I did but was too lost to even acknowledge it. He may not have come home with me, but at least hes no longer suffering. When Ive finally healed and learn to love another little boy or girl again, I know where to come.

This place is probably the most overrated Vet in Chicago. My dog was in pain and had a terminal condition, Blum refused to accept him and only offered an appointment two weeks later. They didnt even try to fit him in with cancelations or anything. Caveat Emptor, go somewhere else.

Ive never had a vet be so thorough and thoughtful for my dog, Shileaux. They do not rush you through the visits or conversations, and in my case our vet spent a lot of time looking into Shileauxs history and researching solutions. Also, my dog has severe anxiety at the vets office, and they were very good at doing what they could to not make her feel threatened. Our vet also would answer questions and check in via email in between visits and stayed very involved when I had to take Shileaux to the emergency vet.

They are the best in Chicago. They take such care with my precious dog, and treat her like shes their own! All of the doctors are great, very thorough and caring. My dog has a little anxiety at the vet (who doesnt), but they put her at ease. I cant say they are the most inexpensive vet in Chicago, but my precious pup is worth every penny!

Blum Vet is a great place to bring your pet. We’ve been going here for 6 years now after moving to Chicago and have watched their continued growth and enhancement.Scheduling the appointment online was a breeze. There’s a cat entrance and dog entrance, with half-walled waiting areas that eases any stress your pet might otherwise have from overstimulation. There are also hooks on the reception desk (see photo) to place leashes if you need them.As part of our visit, my cat received a complimentary toy and was given lots of treats.The care that Blum provides is stellar! The staff are extremely attentive. During our vaccination visit, they checked my cat’s weight, teeth, musculature, nails, ears, etc. and vocalized observations and status on his health.If you can, book your cat’s next visit with Dr. Hudson.

I’ve been taking my pets to Blum for decades. Dr Marks is now the go-to vet for my dog Callie. Everyone at Blum is kind, helpful and caring, and I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Marks. They might be pricier than some others, but to feel that my pet is being so well-cared for makes it worth it to me.

We recently switched to Blum per a friends recommendation and we could not be more pleased. If youre looking for a vet to really partner with you and troubleshoot on the best route of care for your pet, this is 1,000% the place. Our dog has had on/off diarrhea for a few months and our prior vet was no help so we switched to Blum... after our first visit with Dr. Warren, she had laid out great treatment options and informed me on everything I needed to know to make a good decision for care. She explained what to look for, if/when to come back, she assured me that there were plenty of care/treatment options for our dog and that she would commit to helping us find the right one. Turns out that the first treatment option has worked and our dogs stomach problems are completely gone. Every time I called the office with specific questions they were able to answer on the spot or got back to me within a couple hours. And everyone I spoke to was unbelievably helpful, patient, and caring.

I was very excited about Blum since I live nearby and was happy to have somewhere so close if needed. I brought my puppy to get spayed here. It went fine but they upcharged us $300 from what they originally quoted us.We had lots of issues with her recovery and kept calling and would constantly get told we’d be called back and most of the time we had to follow up to get answers or we’d just not hear back. Most of the time they would either contradict themselves from something they said previously or they would forget information we already had told them, for example my puppy’s medication wasn’t working for her and after 4 days of constantly telling them the exact medications and prescriptions they called me and told me to try that exact combination, not noting or remembering that that’s what I’ve been telling them a thousand times was exactly what was not working.In addition, every time I’d call they would laugh off when I mentioned I had never heard back the previous day, and would laugh at my mentioning the medication isn’t working as if it’s cute. My dog is in pain, can’t get her energy out, and is miserable but it’s cute that nothing seems to work on her?This coupled with the final attitude of the last lady we spoke with, that claimed I didn’t tell her something about our puppy (which I had SEVERAL times, she was just too lazy to check the notes like everyone else we had spoken to) confirmed we won’t be returning to Blum.

Our dog Bruce sees Dr. Yohanna and we have been thrilled with the level of service. The techs there are also phenomenal to work with. We have admittedly gone more than we thought we would since we are working through some health issues. Even without being able to go into the office with him due to COVID, Blum has handled everything in stride and continued seamless support.If Dr. Yohanna isnt available for a last minute visit, we have had great experiences with the other vets as well. They have immaculate record keeping and remember things about Bruce that we have completely forgotten. We couldnt be happier with Blum!

I don’t know what to think or say after a second opinion I got for my dog’s surgery.Blum Animal Hospital told me that I would need to have most of my dog’s teeth removed and a cyst removed and it would cost $2,400. I took her for a second opinion to my family vet of 20 years 4 hours away and was told she didn’t need to get as many teeth removed and they would laser off the cyst and it would cost $500 - $700.I’m starting not to trust their opinions and I think they are up-charging me and telling me to get surgeries and tests my dog doesn’t need. I’m going to find another vet.

First off, I cant speak highly enough about Dr. Scott and her team. Their professionalism and care in which they treat all of the animals going in and out of the clinic is unprecedented. Incredible people work there.With that being said the prices are absolutely ludicrous and VCA should be ashamed of the asinine up charges they have on their medication. VCA did $2.1 billion in revenue in 2015. I couldnt find more updated figures and Im already tired of writing this review. VCA was acquired by MARS in 2019 for $9.1 billion who does $35 billion in revenue annually. Screw it lets charge everyone more!!!1. Clindamycin (simple broad spectrum antibiotic) 30 capsules - 300mg-VCA Cost: $45-Marianos (Kroger owned) Cost: $6 (with free membership)= 750% up charge (dope - thanks MARS, VCA and Arthur and Robert Antin - Brothers and Executives of VCA Animal Hospital and their $2.8 million salary each in 2017 plus the $364 million they made off of the acquisition of VCA from MARS in 2019)2. 4 vaccines and some fungal/antibiotic ointmeant that I dont know the names of because I didnt receive an invoice totaling $485 that included the examination. I have zero knowledge nor the inclination to find out the cost of these vaccinations but going to the vet and spending $530 total is just a little outrageous.I wish I couldve done a breakdown of the ridiculous up charges the vaccines had, but Im tired and a glass of wine is calling my name.In summary good people inside Blum animal hospital, but VCA, MARS and the Antin brothers you suck.All the best,Alex

I recently rescued a pup and had to have their first vet appointment over the phone. Dr. Scott did an amazing job walking me through their exam with our dog, and made sure to answer all questions I had during the appt. I felt like my dog was in great hands, and look forward to meeting the staff in person when things get back to normal!Im really happy we chose VCA for our little guy.

My partner and I brought our new puppy, Stella, to VCA Blum for her first check up. Dr. Baker was incredibly helpful and patient in answering all of our new puppy parent questions. She was detailed and clear regarding the care plan (ie vaccination schedule) for Stella. Additionally, as we were unable to go into the clinic with Stella due to COVID-19 safety precautions, Dr. Baker and her assistant ensured that Stella felt safe during the appointment without us physically present. Dr. Baker provided her contact information in the event that we had additional questions. We look forward to continuing to work with Dr. Baker in the future as we were incredibly impressed by her expertise, professionalism, and warmth.

We took our two cats for their first vet visit since adopting. Our experience was pretty good. A lot of pre-appointment information was needed to help with the visit, but once that was filled out, we rested easy, and were ready the night before.We pulled up to the curb, called the office, then dropped off the kitties with the assigned vet assistant. It wasnt too crowded on the street, and everyone wore masks.They then gave us instructions to get to the designated parking lot. Its a bit tough to find - theres two other prominent lots around the building you need to avoid before finding the lot off of Aldine St.Then, we just waited. Took about 20-40 mins, then the vet called us with a very thorough assessment of each cat. She was patient, professional, and answered all our questions. I really appreciated her patience with us.After discussing treatment needs and other pet care issues, we gave payment over the phone, and then pulled back around to pick up the cats. Everything felt very professional, very safe, and I think we received quality veterinary care. Our cats were also pretty chill upon being returned to us.Thanks for a great visit, especially during COVID-19!

My 9 year old lab was misdiagnosed with arthritis when in fact he has no arthritis and instead a tumor on his paw that needs his whole leg amputated now. This would have easily been avoided if the the doctors there cared enough to actually feel his lump and suggest alternate ideas to me. I will be taking all three of my animals out of this hospital, because I cannot trust their opinion anymore. They didn’t even offer to pay for any of the 10k amputation surgery or refund my previous x rays / arthritis medication.

I have been going to Blum since 2001. Dr Georgesen has been there pretty much the whole time. She always greets me with a smile and a hug and addresses my concerns with compassion and a sense of humor when its called for. I arrived early for my appointment yesterday and didnt wait to long before Toby and I were taken back to the room. Toby got his checkup and shots and we were out in less than 40 minutes.I cant imagine taking my pet anywhere else. When I call with questions the staff is helpful and friendly. When I bring my dog for appointments its always a very pleasant atmosphere (even if my dog is being disruptive). What can I say? I love Blum! They are the best.

Blum Animal Hospital always exceeds my expectations. I have two greyhounds, which in case you’re not aware, they have different blood chemistries than other canines, and they always take the time to talk about the differences with me and don’t compare my dogs to just any other dog. Even when our regular vet is not available, we still receive quality care from the other veterinarians and staff members. Thanks for taking care of my two greyhounds and making us feel a part of the Blum Family.

I love Blum! The vets are very responsive and cater to my dogs needs -she is aggressive to other dogs so its usually stressful, but they handle her so well. I moved to a different neighborhood but still choose Blum because they are the best. Highly recommended!

Blum is amazing. Each person on the team is knowledgeable and so willing to help. I have taken my cat and dog here for three years. Recently I have been impressed by their renovations and fear-free commitment for kitties.

I cant say enough great things about Blum! We started going to Blum when we brought home our Newfoundland puppy, Lloyd. We visited Dr. Baker for his vaccines over the course of a few months. She was thoughtful and detailed with all questions we had, and provided recommendations on the breed. We also had concerns on crate training and when we reached out to Blum online, Dr Baker called us within 30 minutes (at 7pm) to talk us through what to do.Lloyd recently had an upper respiratory infection, too. He was wheezing and I started to get nervous about what was happening. I called Blum, and immediately was able to speak to a tech and get an emergency appointment within the hour. I then received follow-up phone calls and check-ins to ensure he was okay.As a first time dog owner, I cannot recommend Blum enough! They are accommodating with scheduling, put you at ease with any questions, and are SO loving with all pets. Lloyd loves visiting Blum and we do, too!!

We had to bring our 13 3/4 year old labrador/golden in for an emergency visit on Saturday. Dr. Yohanna was very responsive, kind, communicative, thorough and determined to get to the bottom of Nalas problems, which are now diagnosed as a UTI. The entire staff with which we interacted was supportive, calm, competent, and very helpful. Nala is on two meds now and is doing so much better. We could not be more pleased or appreciative. Blum has been Nalas vet since we relocated from the East Coast 6 years ago. I highly recommend them!

Blum is my (and my dog and cats) favorite place! Weve been going to Blum for 2 years and I only wish I had found them sooner! They have always been very positive/friendly/kind, and I am especially impressed with how theyve handled pet appointments during the pandemic. We love you guys!

Had a fantastic first vet visit here - the process was modified due to COVID-19, in which we had to do the examination on the phone, while I was outside the hospital, as the Vet examined my Puppy. They were so patient and detailed with my numerous questions, and I left feeling very thankful that I chose this for my doggy! Highly recommend!

We recently adopted a pandemic pup from PAWs and they are affiliated with VCA, so we brought Ruby to Blum for her first wellness appointment. In these strange times, I wasnt able to go in with her but the whole process made me feel like she was being taken care of. The Dr called me 15 minutes after I dropped her off to share what was going on and made some recommendations. Everything was very smooth and well organized and Ruby came out with her tail wagging! She even had to go back in for her nail trim and had no hesitation, so I knew she felt safe there. Thank you to the staff and Dr. Henriquez.

Im a first time dog mom to a female dog who is almost 4 years old. She was rehomed with me and so I brought her into Blum right away as my friend takes her dog there and has nothing but great things to say. I felt that my dog was very well cared for by Dr. Creswell and I appreciate that she was able to answer all of my many questions on the phone with me while she was in the exam room with my dog. Super first vet experience from the employees on the phone while scheduling the appointment, to the employees I interacted with on day of appointment when I dropped her off, to the excellent care received by the vet!

I needed a last minute rabies vaccination because we are planning on taking Indy to travel with me. My vet was booked and Blum was able to squeeze us in! We met with Dr. O’ Riley, she and her vet tech Matt were amazing!Indy doesn’t love going to the vet but they did such a good job of trying to make him feel comfortable there! She talked though his exam saying what was good and what needed work, which isn’t something any of Indy’s vets have done before.The other office staff was super friendly, the office was clean and tidy. Of course there were plenty of treats for doggos and even little plastic bowls of water for them in the waiting room in addition to treats for humans at the front desk.The cost of the exam and shot was super reasonable , especially for the last minute service we needed. Would highly recommend using Dr. O’Riley as a vet to anyone!

Extremely kind staff

Dr. Cohen was great, in these Covid19 times it is difficult. We brought our 11-weeks old puppy for his first visit and Dr. Cohen spent more than 30-minutes wth us on the phone while examining our puppy and after. Dr. Cohen was thorough, explained everything well, professional, overall excellent service!

I chose to bring my newly adopted 9 mo Lab mix here and absolutely loved the experience. Their social-distance-friendly process during COVID was top-notch and was exactly as described when I set the appointment. Dr. Hudson was so friendly and informative. I appreciated how he explained his recommendations and took the time to assure me that while I have a very energetic puppy on my hands, he was very well behaved. Were happy with our choice to bring him here! Highly recommend!

I brought my puppy here for the first time, and I had an amazing experience. Even though I am unable to physically be inside with my dog, the staff made me feel at ease with my puppys first checkup. Dr. Yohanna was extremely thorough and spoke to me over the phone while assessing my puppy and administering vaccines. He was able to answer all my questions, and I could even tell over the phone he cares a lot about the animals he cares for!

LOVE everything about Blum! Was referred to Blum by a friend when I first got my pup over 3 years ago and I couldn’t be happier with the care my dog has received since day 1. The staff could not be any nicer or more professional. All of the vets and vet techs are wonderful. Communication is always prompt and thorough. From silly concerns to serious matters, there is no where else I feel comfortable taking my fur baby!

Blum staff is very attentive, professional and extremely competent. I have left my cats with them for tests and surgery and am confident that my pets are treated with the best.quality care. I would not hesitate to recommend Blum to pet parents.

Best vet Ive ever been to! I have an old bulldog who tends to be ornery and Blum was AMAZING with him!

On time with appointment, no wait, went right back to room for scheduled appointment. Vet techs very friendly and efficient. Appreciate their timeliness and efficiency and communication. The vet tech recognized my dog was a little apprehensive when he walked into the room and asked me what my dog prefers regarding handling, treats etc and if he can have high value treats like cheese etc before approaching him and I appreciate that. They understand each dog is different and discuss it with you. 😁

I have been going to Blum Animal Hospital for ten years now, with my ten year old Pug, Butters. You will not find a better animal hospital in all of Chicago. I would venture to say you will not find a better veterinarian in all of the entire country than Dr. Natalie Marks. I kid you not, my dog is beyond excited to see her every time. I tell others who work at Blum that shes his favorite person, and once faked a limp just to visit. (100% true). Dr. Marks has treated my dog like she would treat her own family dog, and has provided him with the absolute best care possible. She takes time with patients and their owners, and makes sure to explain everything in great detail so that you leave understanding the action plans. In fact, she take extra care with him, and always make him feel like a VIP (very important pug!). When Butters has had a health concern, she has been incredibly compassionate, and even when he had to have surgery that she couldnt perform, made a point to check in on him after his surgery. Im telling you when youre at Blum, its like your family. Butters will be turning 11 soon, and I owe a lot of his great health to her.I also must say, I came in with Butters this past week almost first thing in the morning when they opened. I didnt have an appointment, but Butters had been acting very strange all night (he wouldnt stop panting in my very cool apartment), and I knew something was very wrong. The staff could not have been more accommodating, and they put me at ease right away after I had spent an entire night worried about Butters. They checked us in, made sure to find a doctor who was available, and within ten minutes he was being examined by a doctor, Dr. Sheenan. Its true, my dog wasnt on deaths door, it turns on he seems to have a bulging disc in his spine, but they still made she to get him in right away. Dr. Sheenan was very thorough and understanding. She explained everything in great detail, and answered everyone of my annoying questions. She has also been available by phone when I had follow up questions. It goes to show that the quality of all of their vets, and not just my own.So dont walk, RUN to Blum Animal Hospital! Ask for Dr. Marks, and tell them Butters sent you. You wont regret it, and your pet will thank you later!P.S. I want to address one thing that others post in their reviews, and that is cost. Veterinarian care is expensive, and Blum Animal Hospitals fees are on par with every other animal hospital. They arent significantly more expensive than anyone else, and even if they are a tiny bit more, youre getting a better quality of service. Also, it is completely false that they try to milk money out of anyone, or that they do unnecessary tests. A lot of the times you bring your pet to the vet, it isnt as simple as just looking at the pet and knowing what is wrong. Tests are needed to diagnose the condition. It is their jobs to exhaust every avenue to find out what is wrong, and in some cases its necessary to save the life of the pet. As a customer/patient, you expect them to do this so your pet can be healthy. If youre worried about the cost of something, talk to your vet. Ask questions. You have the ability to ask to run one test at a time. Be active in the conversation. However, before you get a pet, especially a dog, realize that veterinarian care is going to be expensive, and plan ahead. If you know youre not going to be able to pay to keep your pet healthy, do not get the pet. I would also recommend pet insurance, which you can get for a small monthly fee. It will pay for a lot of the costs of care, and help you breathe easy.

Marshmello LOVES Dr. Cresswell and the whole staff at Blum! The front office is filled with highly competent staff who are excited to see Marshie and me. Theres a doggie water fountain, treats, and belly rubs galore in the lobby - dog heaven. Equally (more so?!?) important, the care that Marshie receives is outstanding. Dr. Cresswell answers all (and there are a lot) of questions without ever making me feel rushed or dumb. I love this vet and so does our pup!

Editing to add a comment. This animal hospital continues to amaze me. During social distancing, they still completely took care of my cats and communicated fully with me. I’m beyond impressed!!

Despite the difficulties presented by Covid, Dr Scott and Blum Hospital did a beautiful job with Xena at her annual check-up. Dr Scott took as much time to talk with me on the phone as I needed, and gave me good advice. I recommend them highly.

Wish I had brought my senior dog here much earlier. This is the fourth veterinarian that I have taken my dog to. None of the other vets were bad, but Blum is excellent. The staff was the most professional and detailed staff that I had encountered. The space was well thought out and clean. Additionally, Dr. Marks had great bedside manner and her experience and thoughtfulness made me feel confident that I was giving my dog the best care possible.

I love Blum Animal Hospital! They are committed to stress free vet visits and really take their time getting to know the animals in front of them. They have separate entrances for dogs and cats, allow stressed pets to stay in the exam rooms instead of remaining in the waiting room, and even use pheromones to calm cats and dogs. I cant say enough about how wonderful this place is!

I recently got a new puppy, and was immediately referred to Blum by a friend. They were able to schedule our first appointment around my schedule, and we were in the office within a few days. Once there, we met our new vet (Dr. Warren) who was friendly, patient, and super knowledgeable about our puppy. The entire staff was warm & welcoming, and our puppy had a great experience. We even got a call a few days later from Dr. Warren checking in on Theo. We really appreciate the thought and level of detail that goes into each interaction they have with us. Were looking forward to going back soon!

It is the very best care for my kitties. All the doctors, the entire staff, and everyone associated with Blum are courteous, professional, and truly caring. I completely trust which gives me peace of mind. My babies are happy and healthy!

This is an update. With Covid and not being able to go in to the office it is difficult with our high anxiety dog. They work with us to get him the right anxiety medications and this last visit Antonio was excellent in working with our dog.As always appreciate the time Dr. Cohen spends with us on the phone after the visit to explain all results and answer all questions. They are so caring. So professional and such excellent service. Can’t say enough about how well they treat our dog (high anxiety) and us. Always make us feel comfortable. Thanks Dr. Cohen, all the Techs’s and the front desk !!

For the last 6 years, Blum has been with us for the good times and bad, and each time, we’ve been met with the utmost compassion, grace and professionalism. Will never go to another vet in Chicago. Dr. Hudson (and many of the other docs) are top-notch in expertise and character. Very grateful for all they’ve done for us. XO

Lovely practice with highly qualified, and very caring, professionals. Each visit or procedure is comes with a next day follow up call. The fees are on the higher end but the care our pup receives is outstanding.

During these difficult times Blum Animal Hospital made it very easy and very safe for my old lady much loved cat to have her annual physical. Payment was made over the phone, they met me at the door, and my Tama cat received great care and follow up. Thank you to all at Blum and to Doctor Hudson in particular.

We had a health scare with our cat and needed him to come in as soon as possible. They provided us with an immediate time slot to come in. Then unfortunately our cat would not get into his carrier and I had to keep pushing back the appointment. Blum employees were so kind over the phone and so helpful with providing later appointments. When we finally got our cat in, we were seen right away by a very patient assistant Katie and Dr. Scott and they were able to do the necessary blood work right in house so we could get the results right away.I 100% recommend Blum Aninmal Hospital and I am so thankful they are in our neighborhood.

My cats have been patients of Blum Animal Hospital for 20 years now. When it was time to send my oldest over the rainbow bridge, Blum was very compassionate and provided her with a loving painless death. All the staff Ive ever interacted with seem very enthusiastic about being there, and interact with the cats in a loving manner. My only con is price.... it would be nice if they could offer discounts based on financial need. Care Credit is currently the only option offered, but its essentially credit. On at least one occasion I remember the vet we were seeing seemed very surprised by the high cost of a medication. Ill continue to take my boys to Blum as long as I am able to afford it.

The professionals at Blum have been there for Bibo since he first came home with me at 7-wks old! They just completed his neutering :-) and canine flu vaccines. I couldnt be forced to try another vet. Bibo even races into the building when he sees the door. Happy pup - happy owner.

I’ve tried most of the “popular” clinics in Chicago, and I’ve chosen Blum to be the best of the best!! They don’t see us as ATM machines like most others do. They offer the best care at affordable rates and they truly care for the well-being of all animals.

I took my pup to Blum for the first time because our favorite vet, Dr. Warren, recently moved to this office. My dog doesnt like other dogs and gets very anxious during car rides/vet visits. The old vet office I went to knew this and made accommodations for him, and I was worried this new vet would not.I was wrong, not only did they have a private room waiting when I got there (so we could avoid him barking at other dogs in the waiting room) but the entire staff was amazing and accommodating. The entire experience took so much pressure off of a usually very stressful vet visit! This is the best vet experience Ive had with my dog and will definitely continue to bring him here!

This was my vet visit to Blum and I was thoroughly impressed. My dog is shy to begin with, but vets make her extra uncomfortable, however Blum goes out of their way to make it an easy experience for the animals. The staff at the front desk came over to give my dog some love while we were waiting. When the vet came in for the exam, both got on the floor with my dog and the vet assistant held a cup of peanut butter for her to lick to keep her calm and happy while the vet checked her out. Overall it was a great experience and everyone there was super great to my dog.

We have been going to see Dr. Bridget Sheehan and the amazing staff at Blum for nearly 3 years. We have a pretty high maintenance dog and the staff from the moment you walk in are fantastic! The technicians are so professional and loving to the animals and the vets are beyond wonderful. Dr. Sheehan is truly compassionate, helpful and experienced. I have recommended her to friends and co-workers. Weve seen several of the doctors and they are all incredible! They take time to examine and explain whats going on in a way you understand, they are thorough and again, incredibly compassionate. I would never go anywhere else. If you are looking for a professional, thorough, helpful and incredible vet for your fur baby of any kind, I highly recommend Blum!

It was our first time and we were very pleased with our experience. We got updated vaccines, a general exam and a heartworm test. The doctor gave us all the information about having a ‘city dog’ since we just moved here. It was also super easy to schedule another appointment (because the doctor didn’t want to overload my pup with vaccines and she needed more than 3).It was an extremely clean office, and the technicians made it super easy!We LOVED the “new patients” sign with the names of the new pets. Super cute and made us feel even more welcomed.

I cant overstate what a wonderful vet Dr. Baker is. I love bringing my pets in because I know were going to get great service and have all my questions answered and her follow-up is thorough. The support staff is also great. Highly recommend.

A fear free practice makes a big difference for pets, and I see the proof every time I bring my cat to Blum. She loves exploring the exam rooms, and even thought she typically refuses treats at the vet, she loves the little cups of tuna they keep on hand for cats. Dr. Johanna is wonderful with Olga, has been so helpful in managing her medical conditions, and always reaches out personally regarding any test results. I know my pet is in good hands every time I visit Blum, and I couldnt ask for better care.

Always clean, staff is top notch and I wouldnt trade Dr Cohen for the world.They are always so nice to Zoe who happens to be a rescue. Sometimes shes no so easy to get along with but she has no problem at Blum.

Live down the street from this animal hospital and went here for the first time yesterday after one of my dogs had a stroke. They were closing in 30min but they took me in immediately which was so relieving and kind. I did not know what to expect since my dog was a new patient. My dog is 16 and I was not sure what her recovery would be like but I am thankful for Blum’s quick care cause they were so helpful. My old gal has been walking, going bathroom outside, drinking and eating on her own, seems like good signs so far.

Blum Animal Hospital has a wonderful staff that is always willing to go over your pets needs and discuss the best plan of action. They are attentive and very caring with your pets. Olive loves exploring and is always calm at this vet office. They provide care plans (prices) before big procedures to help eliminate surprises.

This was the cleanest and most professional vet I have ever been too. They had separate waiting areas for cats and dogs and provided my cats with towels treated with cat pheromones to calm them. Dr. Krishnan was wonderful during the appointment and even personally emailed me after the appointment to provide more information and resources. This place is wonderful!

Dr.Marks is by far one of the most compassionate vets I have met. She takes the time to answer all your questions even when you can tell (by the number of people checking in the room) that she is busy. She is thoughtful of what she says when explaining difficult news. All of the staff here have always been wonderful. Very happy with this group.

I wouldnt take my sweet kitty anywhere else! The staff is so kind and really works hard to make sure my cat is healthy. Dr Hudson was so kind and my cat wasnt scared at all during the exam.

We went to Blum to get a second opinion about a mass that was found in our schnoodle. We met with Dr. Cohen and he was very welcoming and helped us process what he found and how to proceed moving forward. Our dog was very scared being in a new vet and they handled her so well and gave her plenty of treats to help ease her anxiety and make it a positive experience for her. I would highly recommend Blum.

Blums commitment to taking care of animals and people alike during Covid-19 is incredible. They took every precaution and still made sure to give my pup treats and the same adoring attention they always do. I feel lucky to have found a vets office like them to care for my dog.

Blum Animal Hospital is by far the best vet I have taken my dogs. The entire staff is friendly and the facility is always clean. They move quick to get you back but the veterinarian takes their time with you in the room. Dr. Evans is the best Ive had and extremely thorough! I leave happy every visit. We started off really liking the Blum Animal Hospital but changed our minds after about 6 months of service. They constantly referred our dog to specialists for thousands of dollars worth of surgery. The vet would spend about 5 minutes with our dog and we would be surprised with a $300+ bill for the visit.Eventually we went for a second opinion and was told our dog didn’t need any of these specialist surgeries. The Belmont Animal Hospital worked with us for days and weeks to find out what was going on with our dog. They have offered comprehensive care and communication. They always discuss the cost of any treatment before they go forward.Do not go to Blum Animal Hospital. They over charge for poor service.

We love Blum! They were so helpful and sympathetic when our previous pet passed away. We recently got two new cats and we brought them to Blum right away. Everyone is welcoming, professional, and knowledgeable. We always feel certain that our pets will get the best care and that we can ask as many questions as we have! Just took my pup for a vaccination at Blum Animal Hospital today. The moment we walked in, the place was spotless, with separate entrances for dogs and another for cats. Attuned to anxiety the pets may experience, they offered (free) bandannas with pheromones for calming. The staff was caring and knowledgeable, relaying detailed information about potential side effects of the vaccination (which are uncommon).I would heartily recommend Blum Animal Hospitals for veterinary care.

I knew from the first appointment that Blum was going to treat my pup like family. From the people behind the desk who greeted us upon arrival to the person who escorted us to the room for Brando to have his yearly check up and shots to the vet, everyone was fully invested in getting to know Brando and making sure he was as comfortable as possible. Even when a recent emergency struck, it was near closing time on a Friday night and the staff welcomed us with open arms, took Brando back to be looked at, thoroughly investigated the wound on his foot, cleaned and bandaged him up without making us feel like we were keeping the team there late on a Friday night. I would send anyone with a four-legged best friend to Blum because everyone is treated as priority number 1! Brando and I love you all at Blum.

Very responsive and thorough and I was impressed with that part. Crazy expensive though. First time exam was $75 and flee/tick meds were $120. I know for a fact my friend gets the same meds for $48.

I just brought my corgi to Blum for the first time, and we’ll be patients for life!! The staff was the most welcoming, friendly, and caring vet staff that I’ve ever encountered. They listened to everything that was going on with my little guy, treated him beautifully, and kept the cost down so I wouldn’t freak out.I’m always worried about vets taking advantage of me, because it’s easy to spend whatever money we have to on our pets, but Blum is clearly helping pets out of care and love. Mordin and I will DEFINITELY be back!

Since moving to the city, we have taken both of our dogs to Blum and have always been impressed with the friendliness, attentiveness and communication from all of the staff. Earlier this year, our six year old Bernese Mountain Dog was diagnosed with bladder cancer and our lives quickly took a turn. During this emotional time, Dr. Yohanna was truly a Godsend. He was always willing to answer our questions, listen to our thoughts/concerns, provide referrals and recommendations and support our decisions. As things took a turn for the worse, we had to make the difficult decision to say goodbye to our boy. Dr. Yohanna was beyond reassuring that we had taken all steps to keep our pup comfortable and give him the best life. Not only was he helpful throughout this process, but he expressed the desire to be there as we said goodbye. Dr. Yohanna listened to our stories, looked at pictures and videos with us and helped us through one of the hardest moments of our lives. Even after that day, he has sent follow up notes and little reminders - just really showing the genuine person that he is. Thank you Dr. Yohanna and Blum for all that you have done for us!

After 26 years of taking my pets to Blum Animal Hospital my opinion of their excellent service is higher than ever. From the greeting when we come in the door until we leave they are unfailingly polite and professional. The vets and staff will explain things in as much detail as I need and are always supportive, providing options and recommendations for care. The practice is constantly evolving to reduce stress and raise the comfort level of both patients and their people. I cannot recommend them too highly.

My dog, Peanut, is very anxious and the Blum staff goes out of their way to makes sure there is a room ready for her as other animals heighten her anxiety. The staff is very friendly and caring. They explain the costs of medications and make sure I am aligned with those costs before carrying out any procedures. I would highly recommend Blum Animal Hospital to anyone that wants premium attention & care for their pet.

Our 4 pets see Drs. Hudson and Drs. Cresswell. As a medical professional, I find their communication to be forthright and clear, with respect and presenting a range of acceptable choices, without emotional manipulation. Outstanding care.

Weve been taking our 2 cats to see Dr. Baker for the last 4 years, and cant recommend her and the Blum staff highly enough! The entire team is amazing- theyre super knowledgable, calm, and friendly. The cats were rescued and can be skittish/nervous around new people, but taking them to Blum was always easy and not stressful at all.

I have had nothing but incredible experiences with Blum. We have moved to the complete opposite side of town, without a vehicle and still will always bring our pets to Blum. From the vet techs to our vet, Dr Baker, everyone is pleasant, attentive and with COVID we are unable to be in the exam room with our babies, we know they are in exceptional hands!

I am never surprised by the effort and ability to go above and beyond that Blum offers their pets and pet owners. They are so quick to shuffle around their doctors schedules to fit in your sick animal and ease your mind. From setting up an appointment, to the kind greeting you receive every time to the professionalism of all front office, nursing, and medical staff they are absolutely remarkable at their job. I am always pleased when I leave Blum and although I have moved a greater distance from their vet office, I still find them irreplaceable and make the trek to lakeview to have my dog seen by the cities best veterinary clinic.

I love Blum and Dr. Baker. They are hands down the best. I was going to Higgins Animal Clinic for about six years when I decided to give Blum a try in an emergency situation. I was so impressed by their care, follow-up and prices I switched vets. They are the absolute best, hands down and go above and beyond for you and your pet.

Blum has taken such good care of my puppy, Alfred, who has needed to come into the vet office more often than I’d like. Each time he is greeted by friendly, well-organized team members who seem happy to help him. We have seen three of the doctors so far and all three were professional, caring and took the time to answer all of my questions and to follow up with us as needed. The customer service and technology through the online services is excellent too. I highly recommend Blum!

Dr. Emily OReilly was very gentle and kind with our two cats, answered our questions and gave us much needed advice on brands of food! The waiting room has separate dog and cat areas which is awesome and all the staff we talked with were very friendly. Thank you Blum!

This place is the greatest. Separate entrance for cats and dogs and if your pup is sick, you skip the waiting room and wait in a private room instead to avoid spreading the illness. They have treats, water, calming blankets with the pheromones, non slip covers, etc. They have really thought of all details and implemented everything possible to put your pet at ease. They also encourage random drop ins for treats and love to help your pet feel less anxious about the vet.The workers and doctors have all been excellent as well. Friendly and caring and patient. I love this vet and won’t go anywhere else.

Went yesterday for a checkup for the first time and I, as well as my pup, loved it. The staff was super friendly and the pricing was completely fair. Super convenient free parking and separate wait area for dogs and cats. My pup was a little nervous since this was his first vet visit ever but the staff did everything possible to try to make him feel safe and comfortable.

One of my biggest concerns when adopting Cliff only a few short months ago was finding a vet that I could trust. Blum Animal Hospital made this easy! From the moment I called to schedule my appointment, I was treated like a VIP customer. The receptionist was warm and welcoming. I actually needed to visit the vet 10 days before my scheduled appointment due to a small emergency. They were able to squeeze me in 30 minutes later! Dr. OReilly was kind, reassuring, and informative! She made sure to explain all procedures and get my consent ahead of time. I will be going to Blum for all of my animal needs - highly recommend!
