Competent staff and calming environment with massage chairs and tvs. i appreciated the attention to details like adding lip balm to patients lips before exam/cleaning and the mouthwash before the exam.

They make you feel super comfortable throughout the appointment. TVs on the ceiling and massage chairs! What could be better?

I’ve never been a fan of going to the dentist and typically get bad anxiety, but I had such a great experience here! Everyone is so nice and makes sure you are comfortable and satisfied. I’m so happy I FINALLY found a dentist I like and no longer feel anxious about going 😊

I have been going DPL for over 5 years. The staff there are very friendly and accommodating. Erika is the best dental hygienist I’ve ever had. Like anyone else, I hated going to the dentist. With Erika she makes going there so much easier. She gets the job done with minimal discomfort. I had to get a deep cleaning once and she was so good that I barely noticed I was there for a deep cleaning. Dr. Allen is also very nice and personable. I would highly recommend this practice. They also relocated to a new location which I enjoyed. Very clean and modern. Keep up the good job guys!

My family has been going to see Dr. Momongan for years. He’s excellent with children. Best care, professional staff, office always looks clean and sterile. I have always been pleased and amazed at the work he does.

How many people reading this enjoy visiting the dentist? Enjoy needles? If you do, that’s great. Me, I’m not a fan, probably because I am prone to cavities. I’ve always joked that I need a doctor that comes in wearing a clown nose and honking a horn. Does Dr. Momongan do that? No. However, he is a great guy and helps put me at ease. In fact, he did such a good job last time, that I didn’t even notice the needle. I’ve always thought he did a good job and that was the icing on the cake. Well, that and we joked about him singing the sound of music while doing the injection and he did! However, he needs to work on his pitch and tonality. ;)Should you visit him? That’s up to you. I can’t guarantee he will sing to you, but I can tell you I enjoy him as a dentist.

I visited Dr. Flak office to check on a broken tooth and a dull pain i had for weeks. Both Dr. Flak and his charming assistant Serena received me with big warm smiles, listened to my broken tooth story and made me feel at ease . Dr. Flak checked my teeth and we were surprised to find the pain is not originating from my broken tooth but another tooth with 1 year old crown done by another dentist . He explained to me clearly the possible cause of my pain and suggested q solution that would not cost much - it seems the top of the crown tooth needed extra filing to relieve pressure from the bite and we scheduled another session to deal with the broken tooth. And yes the dull pain faded slowly this afternoon then disappeared the next day!I am very happy to find Dr Flak and his assistant . I trust his level of expertise and quality of work and above all i appreciate that they share with me details keeping 2 way communication . I never felt rushed or being pushed with unnecessary services.

Everyone at the practice is great, from the front desk staff to the hygienists to Dr. Allen. I like him a lot. Hes seen me through a real adventure in dentistry.

Dr. Momongan is an excellent dentist and I love seeing him! Ive had fillings and cleanings done in his office and it is always a pleasant (as pleasant as a visit to the Drs office can be) experience. Would definitely recommend!!!

Staff is warm and welcoming. New space is very modern. I did not wait long at all. Hygienist was professional, knowledgeable and thorough. Dr. Momongan is consummate professional, giving recommendations on good oral hygiene and answering questions. I feel like it’s not a chore but a spa day for my mouth! Love the goodie bag!

Beware the cash vs. insurance. My insurance usually paid $129 per dental check-up visit. I assumed I would pay that amount or less in cash when I left my company and my insurance ended. (Normally whenever I paid cash for medical or dental services, Ive paid less than the insurance amount). So I was very surprised that my cash payment for a dental check-up was $258 cash instead of $129. I am only giving it two stars because of the higher cash payment. Im not sure why they charge so much more for cash than they would the insurance companies.

Ive been with the practice since moving to Chicago. Although a little farther than walking distance, still the great honesty and quality of care you would want to keep!

Dr. Flak and his staff are amazing. Ive never had a bad experience. They were also extremely accommodating after I lost my insurance, and through a rather unique dental problem. I would recommend Dr. Flak to anyone.

They do a great job explaining everything to me and I feel like they want me to keep my teeth!

The hygienist was straight up AGGRESSIVE with the floss, like she was angry. it was unlike anything i’ve experienced at any other facility. i brush twice a day and floss regularly but she went at it so mean that my jaw still hurts hours after the appointment, so much that i’m icing it and taking pain meds. don’t come here unless you want to get your jaw beat the hell up

Never have had a more painful teeth cleaning in my life; the hygienist used a mini blade to stab my gums. I have gotten my teeth cleaned elsewhere every year, it has always been a fine experience, this was beyond awful. The dentist also claimed I had 9 cavities he could see on the xrays...I dont trust them at all...will be seeing someone else.

Dr. Momongan is great, friendly and explains what’s going on with your teeth well. The office location is great for parking. And the experience is awesome, good music playing and TVs on the ceilings so you can watch whatever cable tv/Netflix/etc you want!! Highly recommend.

Was referred by my doctor. Went for a consultation. Everything was fine until the Doctor entered the room. First he did not even introduce himself. There are a few doctors in this office apparently. The first thing he said was your root canal costs $.$$$ and we can do it today. This is before he even examined me or looked at the x-ray the assistant took. When I questioned him about needing a root canal without him examining me. He walked out of the room and called me a Jerk. I was about to leave when he reentered and continued his sales pitch on having a root canal. I ignored him and asked him to examine me before trying to sell me something. He quickly looked in my mouth. I could not wait for the uncomfortable appointment to be over. I will never go back to this office again. I dont care if ever tooth I have falls out of my mouth. It is better than dealing with a car salesman person. I left and went to another dentist and guess what no need for root canal. Dont go here.

Ive been going the Dental Practice-Lincoln Park, specifically Dr. Momongan - for over 12 years. Ive never experienced a problem and always know what to expect when I arrive, get examined, and leave. They have great dental hygienists that are personable, friendly, and educational. I TOTALLY recommend this practice to anyone in the area.

Worst practice ever. During the cleaning, they cut my gums with the mini-scalpel. Way more blood than there should have been in my opinion.Also, they told me my insurance should cover the basic cleaning and only AFTER the cleaning, they tell me my insurance only covered a small amount so I owe nearly $200 out-of-pocket. For a basic cleaning! For these predatory practices, Ill be reporting them to the Attorney Generals office.

To avoid absolutely ! They missed a part of an instrument in my root when they try to care a cavity.

I hate going to the dentist, but Dr. Flak is great and makes the experience better than another dentist Ive had.

I was referred to Dr. Momongan by a co-worker, and want to preface this review with the fact that Dr. Momongan is a very sweet and nice individual. On my first appointment, he informed me that I had 4 cavities, and that they should be filled in 2 appointments. He hit the nerve of a tooth during the drilling of one of the teeth. He was unable to numb the tooth any further because he had already given me 7 shots of lidocaine and kept missing the nerve, and the adrenaline in the lidocaine shots was giving me the shakes. I had to endure the rest of the filling through short spurts of drilling since the pain was so intense, and I could not have anything further to numb the location. I had to go visit another dentist, who over the past year has given me several treatments to try to reduce the chronic pain and sensitivity I now have due to the filling. I also complained of a 2nd tooth in pain after the fillings and the new dentist discovered one of the other fillings was not shaped properly, and was jabbing my gum and he had to file it down. That tooth, 6 months after being filed, is still tender to floss next to.Despite my terrible dental experience, I actually did consider sticking with Dr. Momongan, but the customer service at this office is absolutely terrible, and pushed me over the edge into choosing a new dentist. The staff is among the rudest Ive encountered from any professional service firm. Despite the unfriendly conversations when I tried to schedule appointments, I also had a billing issue which was the straw that broke the camels proverbial back. I received a bill nearly a year after this incident for $104. The bill said I was 60 days late (even though I never received any other notifications since my appointment nearly a year ago). The bill was also blank with no explanation as to what it was for (no service date, no description, no codes, no nothing). I called the office to find out more, and the receptionist said she wanted to ask another staff member, and asked me if she could call back tomorrow. I said sure. I never received a call back, so I followed up 2 days after my original phone call. This time, a receptionist named Judy, put me on hold after I explained how Id received this mysterious bill. About 10 minutes later she picked up, and seemed confused as though shed forgotten I was on the phone. I expressed I was getting a little frustrated, and just wanted to understand the bill, and then pay it, if it looked to be accurate. She snapped at me and said, You dont need to get frustrated at ME. Im only one person. She then put me on hold before I could object. About another 10 minutes passed, and she finally picked back up. She walked me through all of the transactions, all the while clearly upset at me - I perceived her highly negative attitude as rudeness. It looked like the bill was correct after she ran through everything, and she was still so flustered that she was about to hang up on me. I asked her to please not hang up, as Id still like to pay the bill. I was really unsure why she was continuing to act so short and rude with me. I gave her my payment information, and before the conversation appropriately came to end, she hung up on me. What an overall nightmare of an experience - worst service ever.
