Hearing this from my friend, try to avoid this place if all possible.1. theyd charge you upfront for the full service fee, even if you have insurance. (charged my friend 220 for one tooth filling)2. they wont let you know if your insurance actually works at their dental.3. They will tell you your insurance might work and charge you half of full service fee, and if your insurance doesnt go through, they will charge you the rest of the full service. The worst is that you dont even know if they ever tried to reach out to your insurance company.4. Scheduled appointment at 10:30, the dentist didnt show up and accused my friend getting the appointment time wrong with no apology.5. very rude saying my friend dont know a thing about insurance or dental and couldnt care to explain. Said if you dont want it, you can go, I am a lot more busy than you are.

I tried multiple times to schedule a simple dental cleaning through my insurance. This office made that impossible. First they claimed they dont take my insurance, despite my insurance card literally listing them as my primary care dentist. Then they book an appointment, when I showed up they said they didnt take my insurance because it was HMO. They advised me to call my insurance and get proof of coverage. I called my insurance and got that and forwarded it to their office and they said the insurance needs to send them the list and that the document is not enough proof.Then they lied to me and said they called the number on the letter and nobody answered and returned they call. I called the number on the letter and was able to talk to a live person right away who confirmed my insurance covers dental cleaning at City Dental.A few weeks later they called and left a voicemail that they received the insurance information. When I called back after a week to schedule my appointment, they went around the same song and dance about how insurance changes weekly and that I need to check again with my insurance and how they dont take HMO, etc... They told me that I should call my insurance, when I said that was not my responsibility that they should call... the lady said we dont call insurances... we have been in businesses for 31 years.... well you just lost a customer.They seem to not be getting along with insurance companies and they arent very nice. I cant speak of their services but ended up switching to a different primary care dentist that scheduled me within a week and no insurance issues.

Dr Chang always takes the time to take care of her patient and makes sure her patient understands the care or procedure needed. She has taken great care of me and is very thorough. I feel very confident that the care I receive is in my interest for good long term care of my teeth.

Dr. Chang is so experienced in her field! I could not imagine having my teeth cared for by any other Dentist!

City Dental Chicago is the best dentist for me. Dr Chang is so good at what she does, Ive maintained my smile with regular checkups, cleanings, invisilign and veneers. I recommend City Dental to everyone.
