Don’t bother. Find a doctor who truly cares. This isn’t the place.

The people behind the desk were kind enough. The doctor I saw talked over me during my entire intake appointment and didn’t ask me hardly any questions. I barely spoke. He kept making generalized statements about what he assumed I was experiencing and was often wrong but didn’t even give me a chance to actually SAY what I was experiencing. It was a really bizarre encounter with a doctor. He prescribed me pills will out really telling me why.

Staff at Mental Health Co-op has gone above and beyond to assist my family with anything we have needed. They are friendly and helpful, they communicate well with one another and with me. I feel like I have a team looking into my best interest and that is very reassuring.

Yikes. So, trying to check in, the receptionist was clearly in a bad mood already and was super unhelpful. Past that, I then waited half an hour past my appointment time, then an hour, then 2 (!!!) hours before a nurse finally called me back, handed me a cup and told me the bathroom is on the other side of the waiting room. This clinic does mandatory pee tests, and there is no way to be discreet about walking a cup of your urine back through a waiting room of people. She then had the audacity to chastise me about my blood pressure, which had spiked, because I have an anxiety disorder. Which is why I was here in the first place. Anyway, then she sent me BACK to the waiting room to wait another 15 minutes for the doctor to call me back. He was not the worst psychiatrist Ive seen, but he still wasnt what Id call friendly. I wont be going back here, it was a miserable and deeply uncomfortable experience.

Ive sat multile times for hours and hours after my appointment time for seemingly no reason or they dont have enough Drs.Besides that getting an appointment is almost impossible. Ive found myself waiting for months just to get an appointmnet after i was dropped because the Dr. Couldnt see me which is ridicul

I found the people at Mental Heath Co Op. to be very helpful, friendly and effective but due to the high demand of help thats needed,at times you have to wait a little longer than you would like, over all they do a very great job😊

I switched mental health providers a few years ago from VBHCS to MHC. I was referred by an acquaintance that I ran into at the Walmart. I had zero expectations other than it cant be any worse and it wasnt. Not only was it not worse but after about 6 months I actually began to see a marked improvement. After 30 years of being a Mental Health consumer Ive learned it takes both parties doing their part to equate to any lasting improvements. I still have the same diagnosis but my coping skills and my newly built support system make the rough days barrable and the good days even better.
