I went to Contact High for the third time last weekend. Each of the three visits that I have had at the massage studio have been more than satisfactory to say the least. Brian has been my therapist every time and I wanted to write a review specifically regarding his understanding of my needs and the quality of the services that he has provided me. The first time I went I was carrying much of my stress and tension in my neck and shoulders. Brian sat down with me and talked about what we wanted to focus on and he listened attentively as I told him about my chronic pain. The next time I went, my pain had travelled to my lower back, most likely due to a horseback riding fall. Once again, Brian talked with me before the massage to get a better idea of what areas we wanted to focus on and any concerns that I had. Finally, my last session (last weekend) was another massage that was focused on my lower back. This massage came after I had been through months of physical therapy, which was also very helpful for my lower back pain. The thing that most impressed me about Brian was that although I asked to focus on my lower back again this time, he managed to switch up the routine massage and actually help me do some stretches to increase mobility. I really appreciate his level of caring and understanding of my different concerns with each of my visits. I already have another appointment on the calendar and I would 100% recommend his services to anyone looking for a quality massage for a reasonable price.

I had a massage with Brian, and he didnt waste any time getting to my problem areas. He focused on what I needed to be focused on with a combo of trigger point massage and deep massage. Until I met Marvin at Contact High Massage, my most memorable message was delivered by a Thai masseuse on a luxury cruse line. Marvin knocked her off the pedestal and he is now the one to whom I will compare all others.

I have been getting massages from Marvin for about a year now, and he has made a huge difference with my scoliosis pain levels day to day. I prefer the deep tissue massages as they seem to really break up the intense knots I tend to have. The atmosphere at Contact High is relaxing, comfortable, and welcoming. Marvin is great healer and I am happy to do business with him.

I had high hopes for this massage based on the reviews, but it really missed the mark for me. Marvin was pleasant, but his massage technique needs a bit of work. He did a half body dry deep tissue massage. I have gotten massages regularly for the past few years and I’ve never had a dry deep tissue. I didn’t mention it because I wondered if maybe it would allow him to go deeper, but I didn’t notice a difference. Mostly just a lot of friction and discomfort from his hands. There was a lot of stretching involved as well which I didn’t understand or particularly like either. Not to mention, he spent way too much time on areas that I noted on the intake were not a problem for me and very little time on the areas that were bothering me.Lastly, I was thrown off by the 5 minute talk in the beginning about their service offerings and price structure. I think that should be explained after my massage and not during my massage time.Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place based on my experience, unless those are things you enjoy.

Contact High Massage is a very professional and affordable massage therapy clinic. I work with the head massage therapist, Marvin Chambers, because of his signature skill of clinical deep tissue massage. After four years of college hockey and two hip surgeries, Marvins work allows me to remain active as I deal with the scar tissue remaining in my hips and the muscle tightness surrounding my hips. Deep tissue massage isnt for everyone, but I promise you it is absolutely necessary for anyone dealing with chronic issues.I havent tried the other massage options yet, but Im sure the standard Swedish massage is fantastic because if Marvin can perform the most technical massage flawlessly, Im sure the other massage types are just as great! I booked the 60 minute half body massage via Groupon. The massage was booked with Marvin. While he was pleasant, his technique could use some improvement. Ive gone to several spas for massages so I was expecting a certain ambience. Marvin definitely missed the mark with this.

Marvin is a miracle worker! He has a different technique - myofascial release - this has been the only thing that’s helped work my knots out! I’ve even tried trigger point injections which didn’t help much. Definitely recommend him if you’re looking for a deep tissue massage.

I hardly ever post reviews online, but Marvin deserves this. I chose Marvin despite a couple negative reviews because I was in pain and he was available. Marvins technique includes myofascial release therapy which is ALWAYS performed without oil or lotion. It is designed to unstick fascia which is the connective tissue layer between skin and muscles and it cannot be accessed with oil or cream on the skin. This is a deeply therapeutic clinical massage, not a spa relax massage and Marvin describes it as such on his website. Can people read? Did it hurt a little? Yes, it did. It always does (for those of us who have received this therapy before.) Did I feel better the next day? Yes, by leaps and bounds. Marvin also makes this therapy very affordable and accessible. Which is a good thing because for those of us who are all stuck-up, we need more than one treatment in a short period of time to see real results. I did not mind giving Marvin a generous tip because I recognize that he is pricing himself well below what is typically charged for this therapy. I just booked my second 1/2 body clinical massage appointment. Marvin is the real deal and extremely professional.

Horrible. Dont know how anyone gave more than 2stars based on massage that i got. Waste of an hour. Was barely worked on. If u think this is a massage, youre off your rocker. A sign in the room suggests as much as a 30 pct tip. Yea right! More like , give me my money back.

I bought a groupon for a half body Deep Tissue massage and scheduling was very easy! As a first timer for deep tissue massage, Marvin assuaged my fears and made sure I was comfortable and adjusted accordingly. Ambience was good and he was very respectful. While I realized that deep tissue massages are not for me, I will definitely come back for a swedish or relaxing massage! I recommend!

Marvin is a god send. HIs technique is different than anything Ive encountered before. Ive got anxiety/depression that causes pretty bad muscle tightness/soreness. As soon as i get off the table after a session with Marvin, my body is at complete peace as he had found every problem area, some I didnt know existed prior to getting on the table! Dont be thrown off by his technique and that he doesnt use oil, if you need deep tissue relief, Marvin is the man for the job!
