Two and a half years ago I had my dental operation with Dr. Godsey. It was a laser treatment for a periodontal disease I had. Other clinics told me there is only one treatment for this problem, the one that includes bone implants. However I decided to make some more research and found Dr. Godseys clinic. His treatment and technology are of the highest standards. He is a gentleman, respectful, patient, and above all a true professional. The operation went smooth, with ever-flowing anesthesia (Im a redhead), and with fantastic results. No regression after the surgery. In fact, the laser method allowed for healing, with some bone growth over time, covering the treated area. Although this was a (favorably) low-probability outcome - I believe it speaks for itself. I came back for regular checkups for a little more than a year post operation, all included. I am grateful and thankful for this wonderful man, his great team, and the miracles he creates. I strongly recommend Dr. Godsey.

The atmosphere of this practice is one of calm competence. There are excellent protocols in place to protect everyone from COVID. The assistants are very professional and friendly. I trusted their answers to my questions and concerns. They would check with Dr. Godsey if they did not know the answer. Dr Godsey is excellent. He will explain the procedure and any possible complications that might arise. He is also very concerned about the patients comfort with pain control being very important. He is always available to answer any questions and concerns before and after surgery.

I have had a recent complex extraction and implant post placement and bone graft. Dr Godsey is excellent at local anesthetic administration and his dental skills. His staff is excellent as well. I have had ongoing periodontal problems for more than 30 years and have seen Dr Godsey for the past 3 1/2 years since we relocated to Chapel Hill.I highly recommend this office.

I received highly professional, careful attention by all who work here. Their bedside manner is exceptional. Dr Godsey administrated the anasthetic so expertly that I did not feel it- the typically scariest part was a complete breeze.I would not hesitate to anyone needing periodontal work.

Doctor Godsey and his staff are excellent. They are warm and caring. On the first visit I received a treatment plan with an estimate of the cost. They file with insurance providers and so far the cost has been in line with the estimates. I am always well treated by all the members of the team and will surely refer others to the practice.

Had a great experience despite the fact I was having gum replacement surgery. Dr Godsey took away my fears by his calm, friendly, matter of fact attitude. Explained it clearly, but didnt say it wouldnt hurt some afterwards as many doctors do. His staff was friendly and helpful. Also the anesthesiologist, who explained all that he was going to be doing. They also provided me with a very informative pre-estimate before a big procedure, so that I know how much will be covered and how much I need to pay out of pocket. Really appreciated that.

Have not had my surgical procedure yet, but so far, this place has exceeded all expectations. This practice has really put time and thought in to patient experience, and it shows from the nice and comfortable furnishings in the lobby and exam rooms, the straight forward approach to presenting costs and scheduling, the extra little details and perks provided to make dental work a little less daunting, the friendliness of all staff, and the time that the doctor puts in to thoroughly explaining everything, including prevention, and their willingness to answer all questions.

I suffer from pretty severe anxiety and medical and especially dental procedures are a huge trigger for me. So I was really worried when I got referred to Dr. Godsey for a consult for a gum graft. At my initial consult, I was surprised by how warm and inviting the office was (Ive never been in a dental space I would describe as bright and peaceful).I was so encouraged by how warm and friendly Dr. Godsey and his staff was. Dr. Godsey explained everything very clearly and answered all of my questions. He talked through my options and what would be best for my situation and my anxiety. The staff clearly explained the cost and payment options.During the procedure, everyone made me feel comfortable and even presented me with a comfort menu before my surgery to help me feel as relaxed as possible. After the procedure, the entire staff was wonderful - I called multiple times with silly follow up questions, and everyone I talked to was kind, patient, and reassuring about my questions related to recovery.I still do not like the dentist and hope that I dont require any more periodontal work, but if I do, I will definitely be visiting Chapel Hill Periodontics & Implants and highly recommend their services to anyone in the Triangle area needed this type of dental work!

In the past couple of years, I have seen many different dentists and I can say that Dr. Godseys office has definitely been one of the best. Everyone there is always very welcoming and I have never had to wait longer than ten minutes. Dr. Godsey does a great job of making sure I understand what he is saying and giving me the chance for my own input. I did my frenectomy with them and will be doing a graft with them soon, and people are not lying when they say this place and swank and the people are super nice. Before my procedure, they gave me a list of accoutrements (a warm blanket, a hot towel, a lumbar support pillow, a book full of different soothing music I could listen to, among a zillion others) that I could have at no cost so that I was comfortable during my appt. I have had a great experience.

His staff are amazing. They explain everything in an understandable way and answered all of my questions. So many times the medical profession has lost their soft-skills which are as important as the medical treatment or procedure you are having! We designed a plan where I had input and came up with a strategy that would give me the results I wanted from the start. I billed for a hospital based general dentist for six years and was a patient of the now retired periodontist who trained Dr. Godsey as graduate student in Periodontics at the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry.
