I was referred to Dr. Surapaneni about 4 years ago, after my doctor retired. I friend referred me to Dr. Surapaneni. When I first scheduled to meet with her, I wondered if it would be worth my driving 35 minutes to her office to begin a relationship with a new doctor. After the first visit, naturally, I didnt have an answer to that. After my second visit, I drove away feeling like she is on top of her game with her knowledge and expertise. I have happily been one of her patients since my first visit. Note: Dr. Surapaneni has a small office and she is the only human you will see that works there. Initially, I wondered about that. I can attest to her ability to handle all angles of her business effectively, with great concern for me as a patient. My experience with her small office has inspired my belief that doctors really do care about their patients as individual people and not just a number.

Ive been seeing Dr. Surapaneni for several years. She is kind, compassionate and takes the time to listen and address my many medical conditions, which is hard to find a Doctor these days that doesnt rush you in and out, and thats what I love about her. Because of my unpredictable work schedule, She is always willing to see me with only a day notice. I highly recommend her for anyone wanting a Doctor who will take the time to sit and talk with you. She has truly been a blessing in understanding my circumstances and has helped me more than I can express!

Dr. Surapaneni has been my primary care doctor for almost two decades, as well as my mothers and many of her friends. I owe her a debt of gratitude for the wonderful care she has given me over the years. She is sympathetic, caring and kind. At one time, I was sent home from the ER and diagnosed with an ear infection. The ER doctor rushed me out and handed me a prescription for antibiotics. I called Dr. Surapaneni and followed up with her. She found a shingles outbreak on my head that extended to my ears and placed me on an antiviral medication. I then went to my ENT doctor who stated that there was no ear infection, she was correct and that I already had hearing loss from the shingles which extended from my head to my ears. If she had not placed me on the antiviral medication i could have had permanent hearing loss. Her quick thinking and critical diagnostic skills saved me from a lifetime of hearing loss. This is one example of so many where she has listened patiently, found a solution to a difficult diagnosis and been there for me. Most doctors rush you in and rush you out. She spends time with you and really listens. This is especially important at times when you are very ill and unable to help yourself. Her ability to look at your over all wellness and health is a gift. I cannot recommend her more highly. It is vital for our wellness to establish a relationship with our primary care doctor. There often is no quick fix for many issues. Its important to keep your primary care doctor in the loop about all of your care - if you go to a specialist, make certain they send her the records from your visit. I rely on her to give me good advice, help me find a good specialist when needed and to take care of me. I am so blessed to have found her!

Small Family Practice Dr. Surapaneni (hope I spelled it right) makes me feel that she is my friend and takes exceptional care of me and my situation. She listens to every word I say and prescribes medication that is just right for me. When I go back she will ask me how the medication is working for me. She anticipates what could happen to me and checks for it. I really appreciate her.

Ive been seeing Dr. Surapaneni for many years. She is extremely personable and genuinely cares about her patients and their families. She is the smartest Family Practitioner I have ever known. Upon my first visit she diagnosed a rare disorder that had gone misdiagnosed my entire life. Its less business-like than most practices, which I very much like. Its like visiting a super smart friend who always makes you feel much better when you feel terrible. Recently I had the flu. Dr. Surapaneni called me at home TWICE because she was concerned!

Howdy! I found Dr. Surapaneni to be a very caring MD! She has been accurate in her assessment of my condition(s) and took appropriate corrective measures including any needed lab work or referrals to specialists. Her office and staff are readily available and pleasant. I recommend Dr. Surapaneni with complete confidence.**I was Dr. Surapanenis patient until I changed Medicare HMO insurance plan. My new plan forced me to change doctors (so much for obamacare)... I wish I could have stayed on as her patient.-Robby Shaw, Cedar Park, TX

My mother has been a patient of Dr. Surapaneni for over three years and I have to say that she is a terrible doctor and has a very unprofessional staff. Over the years I have had a situations where my mom was called by them and told she needed to come in for an appointment because they needed to see her at a specific day and time (no doubt to fill in their daily schedule) only to find out, after rearranging schedules to get there that they were too busy to see her. Not only did my mother get her appointment rescheduled, but she got a bunch of attitude from the doctors office manager when she complained.I have also had to deal with my mother running out of particular medications because prescription refill requests from our pharmacies have been ignored and sat in an inbox for weeks. This is a situation that has occurred multiple times.I take issue with her office staff because they can be very abrasive over the phone, that is when they bother to answer the phone at all during office hours. My experience has been that one out of two calls that I have ever made to her office during business hours gets picked up by answering machine.I have suggested to my mother that she should find another doctor on a number of occasions, but she is old, set in her ways, doesnt like change and likes having a female doctor. She is also a firm believer in the old adage The devil you know is better than the devil you dont. The major issue that I have with Dr. Surapaneni herself is that during the three years that my mother was her patient she failed to catch a major issue, congestive heart failure, that nearly killed my mother and put her in the hospital a couple of weeks ago and the reason that she will have to have an urgent open heart surgery later this week. Now I know that no doctor can catch everything, but this is an issue that I have been told has been progressing over a long period of time and should have been caught. My mother has gone to her numerous times with all of the symptoms of congestive heart failure over a long period of time and she failed to catch it.She failed miserably in my opinion and she is FIRED and will no longer be my mothers doctor. This of course is just one mans opinion, although the fact that she has been dropped by my mothers insurance company, who also want nothing to do with her, certainly says something about their opinion of the quality and professionalism of the service she and her staff provide. If you are in need of a good doctor in the Cedar Park area, I strongly suggest that you should find someone other than Dr. Veena Surapaneni.Richard Giraldez
