My experience with this place of business has been excellent. They are thoroughly assessing my health needs. And giving me the opportunity to participate in my care prospectively.

I was treated really well from beginning to end. The only thing missing was the person who could tell me about insurance coverage and cost was not available. He will call me next week so I look forward to that and then deciding what to do. My questions were answered and everyone was very pleasant in serving me.

My overall experience was very positive. The office called me immediately to address my referral and make an appointment with Dr. Shepler, MD. Registering in the online portal saved me time upon check-in. I was greeted personally by Dr. Shepler with-in minutes of my check-in time. Dr. Shepler examined me and engaged me in the process to enhance my eyesight through a surgical procedure. He explained everything in detail. I then met with his surgical coordinator, Kelly Payne. I was very impressed by the time spent explaining all aspects of my procedure, hospital admittance and aftercare. I feel that I am in good hands and truly appreciate the professional and friendly atmosphere of the Hill Country Eye Center team.

Everything went smoothly: sign in, waiting, and doctor’s visit. Dr. Shepler explained everything very well. Asked if I had any questions and I said no, that everything was clear. Then later in the evening at home, I did come up with a couple of questions. But forgot to write them down! Overall, my visit with Hill Country Eye Center was very good.

What a pleasure. My 90 year old mother and I are both patients of Dr. Restivo and he and his office takes excellent care of us. This week for our appointments, we barely had time to sit down in the waiting room before they called us in to the examining rooms. They are both efficient and attentive and we hope to continue as their patients for years to come.

Dr Restivo conducted two surgeries since my torn retina was repaired last year. His manner helped calm my fears, and he has so much experience with lasers that the procedures were done quickly! My appointment was for 2:00 and I saw the doctor at 2:00. Perfect! Was rather surprised at the COVID protocol… guessing because it’s Travis County. All office staff were cordial and pleasant, very helpful.

This was the best visit ever - they dilated my eyes at the beginning of the preliminary testing & by the time all of that was completed, I was ushered into the room to see Dr. Restivo rather than back to the waiting room for an endless wait. Dr. Restivo came in almost immediately and was his usual welcoming, outgoing self. All in all I was out of there much earlier than any previous visit - & I appreciated all of the covid protocols - felt very safe even though I am fully vaccinated

Dr.Restivo’s office and staff are highly professional in the manner that n which their patients are treated. They put you at ease and explain what they are doing.

First and foremost I was running late and called to see if it was ok, which it was. But then instead of the 15 mins it was more like 40 mins and they called to confirm that I was coming and still took the time to provide excellent care! I would recommend hill country eye center to everyone!Most doctors offices will tell you you need to reschedule if you are going to be 15 mins or more late.. never mind that you still have to wait almost an hour to see the doctor. Not here, they are very accommodating!

Super considerate and helpful. Used them for LASIK surgery and were very thorough in explaining the process and answering questions while making sure I felt comfortable. Definitely made the experience less scary.

It was my very first visit. Everyone was happy, polite and professional. Dr. O is a hoot and a half. I love his demeanor. He has a high level of energy and its clear he loves his job. The only reason Im awarding 4 stars and not 5 is because none of the technicians whom I met with before I met with Dr. O, introduced themselves. A little banter along the way to tell me what this test or that test looks for would also go a long way. Still everyone was very nice. Looking forward to my follow up in 2 months.

Appointed to see Dr Shepler regarding removal of my eye. My eye has had many prior surgeries for glaucoma, and cornea has been grafted twice. It had just gone through a viral infection and lost the cornea again. He talked with me and gave me some hope for keeping the eye for now and a referral for a cosmetic contact that will make the eye appear normal. It was such a relief to know there was an alternative at this time . He left me with a comfortable feeling knowing the parameters at which time it would be time to remove the eye - and also that he was available anytime I need further consult. A very nice Dr. with an honest recommendation.

It was straight forward. When you get to the parking lot call the office. They will come out and ask the cv-19 check list and take your temperature 🌡. Once completed your allowed inside. There where 2 assistants when i arrived one of the was not very friendly. I wont say who.Its a lot easier if you fill out the paperwork on line also.After that its a short wait to see the doctor. The Doc was one of the better doctors Ive visited straight forward with a plan of action.I do recommend this facility!

I have been seeing Dr. Shepler for a good while now, and I think he is very thorough as a doctor. Hes done some eye surgery for me as well, and that turned out pretty good. I was there recently for an appointment, and was kept waiting for nearly an hour over my appointment time in the waiting room. I understand things get busy, but there should be a staff person coming to you and notifying you (and apologizing) when theyre overbooked. Ive had this happen with other Dr.s offices as well, and it makes you wonder, if IM LATE for my appointment time, they want to ding me for a missed appointment and charge me for that... but they think nothing of wasting YOUR time sitting there, with no communication whatsoever. Had I not gone up to the counter and let them know they never called me back, they might have left me sitting for another hour. On the other hand, their patient coordinator, Judy, is REALLY excellent and always takes good care of me.. like her a lot! So, if they could just get the staff organized and more professional, this would be a top-notch experience.

I have used Hill Country Eye center for a number of years, and until now I have been very pleased. Sadly they are now charging $45 for my prescription for glasses. I feel that I paid for my office visit and I should have access to ALL of my records. This may drive me to another service provider.

I was introduced to Dr. Todd Shepler for my first consultation. I had been having trouble with the shape of one of my eyes that showed to be wide open in pictures in a bad way. He did his diagnostic testing quickly and thoroughly and knew exactly what the problem was. I will be have corrective eyelid surgery in the near future.
