Dr. Ragsdale is very knowledgeable and can explain everything about my exam in a way that is so easy to understand. By far the best eye doctor I’ve ever been to.Emily is amazing at picking eyeglasses and fitting them properly. I’d come to this clinic just for them. But, the whole staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and friendly. Such a pleasure to have all of them in my healthcare arsenal.

I would not come here if you have children that need an eye exam. My 10yr and 7yr old were seen here.. The eye doctor we saw didnt even introduce himself. I have no idea who we saw or I would have included his name in my review. The whole time during our appointment he kept repeating to me that my 7yr old daughters eyes were really bad. Well thanks for telling me several times like I didnt know that already. She has been wearing glasses for 3 years now. She wears them all the time and is so good about it. Also the selection of childrens frames was disappointing. I was never provided a physical copy of my daughters eye glass prescription. Had to arrange another time to come and pick it up from the front desk. This should have been given to me while I was checking out. We will be searching for a new place to go next year. Hopefully this place reads this review and looks into doing better especially with children.

I dont have vision insurance and so I searched for eye doctors that had reasonable fees. The eye exam only cost $115. Some places wanted $350.00. The exam was the best I have ever had. They took photos of my eyes without dilation! Thats a big plus and safer for my eyes. The glands of my eyes were also checked. Ive never had this done and it was so beneficial to see and know how important these glands are to eye health. Dr. Reggie was every thorough and took the time to examine and explain my options. Very friendly and personable approach. And now I am confident that my eyes are healthy. I look forward to my next annual visit. I highly recommend Founders Eye Care!

So appreciated the great customer service and consistent policy for care during this COVID-19 pandemic. From the moment I entered the front door, I was immediately greeted and told what their protocols were for engaging their services - temperature was taken each time I came in, social distancing was observed at all times, and masks were worn and required by all.In spite of risks due to pandemic, every single individual I worked with were personable, took their time to address all of my questions and needs, and still managed to be efficient in assessing and meeting my eye care needs.I am happy to recommend this practice. Dr. Ragsdale and his staff rocked!

I got my first ever prescription and glasses here and it was surprisingly easy and done within the hour. I was helped immediately by Dr. Joseph Raffa. He was easily able to get my eyes to clearly again in no time! And the technology they have, its so interesting! They literally scan your eye through a couple of machines and he was able to tell me a history lesson on what my eye has been through!Very affordable, takes medicaid and got my glasses within 2 weeks. Highly recommend.

I have scheduled appointments for my children and myself with Dr. Raffa. He was so great about making us all feel comfortable; is fun-spirited and amiable.During our exam, Dr. Raffa explained the parts of the eye he was looking at and why (even for the children) in a way that we could understand without talking down to us.All the staff we’re pleasant and we will gladly return for all of our family eye care needs!

This place is the best. My whole family comes here and we all love it, kids included.It’s very clean, the staff is very friendly and we have never had to wait more than a few minutes to be seen.I think my favorite part is the state of the art technology. It’s nice not having to get your eyes dilated AND get a better examination at the same time.The doctor is great, he is through but not overbearing. He did answer several of my general “what is that” type of questions when looking at the freaky images of eyeballs and he happily answered everything.

Poor: (1) the Dr hustles you through so he can get to his next patent and maximize profits, (2) the glasses I finally received had bent frames the technician there fixed them marginally ultimately saying that was the best that could be hoped for (3) attempting on 4 occasions 12 months later to make an appointment, no one answered the phone, I left messages with no response (4) finally got a hold of someone and they put me on hold for 9 minutes - I then hung up and called back - told them I am done. (5) I will be finding another Optometrist.

Dr Ragsdale is super nice and gives great advice. The whole team here is really friendly and the office has a relaxed vibe. Everything about the experience was very simple and easy from scheduling to check in to the appt itself.

My last pair of glasses came from a discount chain and I simply wasnt happy with them. Just picked up my new glasses from Founders Eyecare and theyre perfect! As the old saying goes, you get what you pay for. Many thanks to Dr. Ragsdale and his excellent team.

This Eyecare provider is hands down the best experience Ive had when it comes to an eye doctor visit. Im new to the area and needed to get into the eye doctor. Im so happy when I did a search on providers in the Castle Rock area that accept VSP insurance, that Founders Eyecare was one of the first options listed. From the online appointment booking to the friendly, knowledgeable, and courteous staff, every part of my visit was a 10! My doctor, Dr. Raffa was AWESOME! He was polite, prompt, thorough and very informative....and he wore cool socks with 2020 on them!Anyone looking for a new eye care provider, selecting Founders Eyecare is an absolute no-brainer! So glad I did!

I first met Dr. Ragsdale about 5 years ago at Kat Eyes in Elizabeth. He has since left that office for his practice at Founders Eye Care. He is very professional and personable. I had eye surgery a year ago and I go to him for my check ups. I cant think of any doctor I would trust with my eyes, other than Dr. Ragsdale. I do like his staff also, very nice ladies.

This was my first visit to the office. Staff was very professional, experienced, and highly trained. They were prompt and my appointment was very quick and thorough. Im an orthodontist and focus my career on the highest level of patient interaction and customer service, and they get a top score from me. I have been going to Dr. Ragsdale for four years now, hes been a great doctor. My kids and husband see him as well, up until my son broke is glasses. We went in to order a new pair just the frames as there was no damage to the lens. Ive waited over two months for the frames and when I call to see what is taking so long they say theyll call back after they call the manufacturer. They called back to say the manufacturer had the glasses on back order (which they never told me the four times in the last two months Ive called) and the glasses are to be two shipped to them and I can come in that day (hopefully Wednesday) and get his lens in the new frame. Ill update to whether this happens or not. I should of be made aware or the back order before placing and/or paying for the frames.

My husband had an ulceration on his eye and Dr. Ragsdale met him at 8:00pm to see him and give him medication. He was knowledgeable, quick, and made it possible for my husband to work the next day without pain. Thank you Dr. Ragsdale!!!

Ive seen both Dr.s Raffa & Ragsdale. Both are fantastic! I have some eye issues since birth that I was for sure would throw them off. They both were not only familiar, but knew how to correct and/or compensate. Great personalities and the new office is very nice as well. I would recommend my best friend to go here. Its a bummer when someone has a such a bad experience that they write such a destructive review. I hope they give Founders a chance to rectify the situation.

We have been going to Dr. Raffas office about 3 years. He is very kind and patient and a great eye doctor! His office is clean, modern and has state-of-the art equipment. He has helped me through dry-eye issues and he sees my sons. My oldest son went through several weeks of Vision Therapy which corrected his focusing problems due to eye muscle weakness, alleviated his headaches at school and his baseball game improved! We highly recommend Dr. Raffa!

My 10 year old son came here for the first time today. We had to find a different optometrist since the place we have been going to for many years no longer accepts our insurance. FPVC is the only place in Castle Rock that accepts our insurance, which is why we picked them. We saw Dr. Ragsdale with his assistant, Jillian. The appointment was to get my son fitted for contacts. Everyone was very polite and patient with him. Jillian had such a calm nature about her, and spent a lot of time getting my son to understand the ins-and-outs of wearing contacts. Dr. Ragsdale was very personable and reassuring. Their pricing was also very fair. They have only seen 1 person in our household thus far, but they have gained 6 patients since our whole family will now be seen here.

Dr. Raffa is a very good eye dr. However, the office staff....HORRIBLE, CURT and RUDE!! I went in for an exam in Feb and tried contacts for 2 weeks. Called to let them know to strengthen the prescription and they said they had to call me back. Didnt call back! I called another week later and tried to order contacts and they said I couldnt because my insurance didnt pay the bill and that couldnt order until I paid the bill. So it was ok to order contacts before I or the insurance paid?!?!!??! And now that the insurance wont pay I cant get contacts?!?!?!Ok, well pay the bill went we get the invoice, I just wanted to order contacts. Called 1800contacts to order in which they had to confirm prescription at Dr.Raffas office and they refused! My husband called and was nice and calm first but got rude because of the office staff continued to be nasty. I went there in person to ask for my medical records and they refused waited for the Dr. The receptionist left the room and called the police!! All I need were contacts and for the bill to be mailed! Still no contacts!

Great Doctor, Amazing Staff and overall an excellent experience.
