Literally the devils children run this place. They told my mom they would throw her out on the street over a billing dispute. She is bed bound, gurney only transport. She is relatively young and full mental faculties. They threatened this on multiple occasions. BTW she was walking with a walker when she got there. Oh and she got COVID here and they don’t care about the people but other then that they are great!

My husband was admitted to this facility for rehab after hospitalization, it was the most horrible experience, first of all he lost about 10 lbs. in one month, second he was black and blue on whole one side of his body, his toes were scraped and infected from dragging on the floor (they did not put foot rest on wheel chair), he was not shaved or cleaned. He also told me that one of the male worker hit him. I gave one star but I think is one too many I wish I could give a ZERO.

My grandmother was sent here 2 weeks ago. Tested negative for covid. Spoke with the nurse today and she has now tested positive and is in isolation. She went here for physical therapy, not sickness. I was not contacted yesterday when they received the results because they are not calling families. Having my grandmother moved out. This place is horrible. Lack of communication, care, and consideration. Elderly/disabled should be treated with dignity. Not put in a room and forgotten about. Dont send your loved ones here.

I would highly recommend Rosewood/River Pointe Post-Acute. The staff is what sets them apart from the rest. They care and it shows, everyone always seems to be smiling and friendly. The hallways and rooms are cleaned regularly and thoroughly. The activity department does a great job at keeping patients involved and the Social Services team are always there to help you find the resources you need and more.

My Father has been at Rosewood for almost 1 year and has been very well cared for. The staff is excellent and the head nurse has always gone above and beyond to help my mom and I with any concerns that we have! My dads condition is extremely difficult to manage and without this facility my moms, who had been caring for him, health would have most certainly declined. They have always been extremely accommodating. Everyone at Rosewood is warm, caring, and really has genuine concern for their residents.

FULL of spreading COVID 19, we didn’t get our family member out soon enough and now he has it a few days later, and then my husband got it. They also don’t answer call lights quick enough, many times it took over an hour for any response, people were yelling out for help. Many times I would call and it would take multiple calls till someone answered and sometimes no one did. It is very worrisome to not have staff attend to your family member and then you can’t reach anyone. They also didn’t implement some of the doctors orders and took a few days to implement some orders. There were definitely a few stellar staff members, I’d name them, but both ended up on leave when COVID struck. The only reason this place has higher star ratings is because staff have rated it highly. I don’t like to be negative, but this place is unsafe.

The staff are very friendly and really make you feel welcome in the facility weather you are a resident, a family member, or staff. I’ve seen some great relationships between the staff and residents here at the building. Our therapy dept is friendly and work hard to get the residents to there highest level of function possible. Our nursing team seems to be well educated and ready to care for our residents. If my mom needed nursing care I would not hesitate to send her to Rosewood Post Acute.

It is said that the Rosewood Post-Acute Rehabilitation Center in Carmichael was awarded, by some accrediting agency, Five Stars in recognition of its provision of superior health care. Admitted in 2017, my wife is a long-term resident of the facility. Based upon my wife’s and my direct experience with the quality of care offered by the Center, I also award Five Stars to the facility but with a twist. Here is my take of that.First Star is earned by the CNA’s who provide the daily hands-on care of the residents. There are several who are outstanding in attentiveness, who assure extra help whenever needed, and who are kind and unflappable. Their work is not easy, probably the most difficult of daily tasks; and they are under-appreciated. I would nominate ‘the several’ for special recognition.Second Star goes to the nursing staff; many are especially caring. The nurses make sure everything runs smoothly, and some of them are really effective in this regard. Upon admission, my wife was diagnosed as being in her death process. I credit the nurses who took care of her and brought her back to living and continue to do so. Of course, my wife’s power also assured recovery. She now is stable and enjoys life much more – a true miracle of medical science and care!Third Star is for all the personnel who work hard to keep the facility clean, well lighted, and fully functional. While probably always ignored and forgotten, these personnel provide the essentials for openness and welcoming of residents and visitors. The maintenance, kitchen, activities, and social services staffs round out these essentials for a smooth operation of all functions. Rosewood is very effective here when all parties communicate.Fourth Star has to do with creating and maintaining an overall environment that is open, clean, well lighted, and friendly. That environment is exemplified in the attitudes and good cheer of all staff and residents. Happy environment means good care and good health.Fifth Star belongs to the administration of the facility, to the top management. Rosewood is now under new ownership, and its Administrator provides the right kind of leadership – including an hands-on approach, his accessibility – which was most impressive to me. I once had a conversation with him about what it means to be a resident and what it means to their families. He spoke about his philosophy of caring that is supportive of life, well being, and rehabilitation. He spoke of essential caring and sensitive support for the elderly and severely infirm who face their end of life. He said the purpose, then, of Rosewood was to develop a place for confronting such difficult human conditions. I was deeply moved by his views and saw that the grand improvements made at Rosewood were due to him. Finally, the stars add up to five as the ultimate accolade. That does not mean there are no concerns or problems. What it does mean is that solutions will be found. Of that, I am sure.

My dad was admitted at this location right after he had a stroke and was at Kaiser morse for about a week. this location, with the help of the staff, helped drastically change my dads life! In just a month, he was able to speak and move more than what he left the hospital as. Whenever my mom and I would visit, we were always greeted with a smile and there was always someone there. I didnt have to experience using the call light because they were very attentive to caring for my dad. His Physical and Occupational Therapist were very engaging and encouraged my dad to step out of his comfort zone and keep going. His Speech Therapist helped improved his willingness to communicate with us. He always spoke positively about the staff and I would highly recommend this place. He went from not being able to move and talk to us to being able to talk, walk, and perform his activities of daily living tasks like changing his clothes and using the toilet. They would groom my dad weekly and take his showers every other day. My mom and I would causally converse with his nurse for the day and they were all so kind and would give a little background of their life and most of the therapists has more than 15 years experience in rehabilitation and thats one of the many reasons why we chose Rosewood Post Acute!

I am not one to write a review on a facility in which I work for, but I have to say Rosewood is definitely a place to check out for yourself or a loved one. I have worked 9+yrs as a nurse and department head in Acute hospitals & for various SNF companies. In comparison I would have to say that they did not offer the same level of care that we do for our patients. Sure we are not perfect (yet😉) & have room to grow. The difference with us is we listen to concerns/comments made and make the changes needed to improve the quality of care provided for our patients/residents. The culture that is being built within our staff is one of Teamwork and Family. I am very happy to be a part of this TEAM 🤗

All the some travels into the near by rooms. Unfortunately my mother received the room right next to the entrance! She called me the same night she got there to pick her up. She needed to use the bathroom and no one came, not even after 30 minutes. When I got there I had to take her. Ofcourse pee all over the floor now! I told them to mop it up, they said the janitor is off, 11pm at night, and he had no access to a mop. So he took a bedsheets from my moms bed and mopped the floor. We complained about the smoke. And the employees said: what no smoking signs? Do we have them? My brother took pictures of the signs. Oh, there is so much more....we pick up mom and took her home. DO NOT TAKE ANYONE YOU LOVE, & DO NOT GO YOURSELF TO ROSEWOOD REHAB IN CARMICHAEL.I was transferred to Rosewood Rehab in Carmichael following surgery on Saturday. For starters, they would not give me access to a walker until I saw a physical therapist, after the long holiday weekend. They wanted me to limp or hobble to the bathroom. They expected my arrival & yet my bed was bare, no sheets or blankets. I had to lay down on the plastic mattress until they got it together. But the real problem was upon intake, they check you for bruises or bedsores. I had none of the above & realized they had to see for themselves, so I complied. However, the nurse (her name was Story), did something I never could have anticipated. Without warning, instead of looking for bruises & bedsores, she reached out & grabbed me with BOTH HANDS, in a Very, Very personal spot & manhandled me. I felt violated & told her to stop. Her response was to threaten me & told me that she was going to continue what she was doing or I would be kicked out of the rehab center.Another nurse came in & asked if I refused to comply. I told her that they can look, but they cannot touch me in the personal manner that they just did. This nurse also threatened to kick me out of the rehab center. Then a man came in claiming he was the head nurse. He asked me if I was going to comply and I told him they could look, but not touch in the matter that they previously did.I told him that I was more than willing to comply with what was necessary but not to be violated. I told him I had no bed sores or bruises in the areas they wanted to look, & I would be more than willing to sign a waiver to verify that information. As with the previous two nurses he told me that if I did not comply I had to leave. Not long after that an ambulance company came to pick me up and take me away. Now my doctors and social workers are trying to get me into another rehab facility that does not inappropriately touch their patients. But they cannot get me into rehab because Rosewood Rehab Center listed me as non-compliant.A quick translation for non-compliant means I am not a Cooperative patient. That was a brutal lie. I was more than willing to cooperate but I was not willing to be violated. What they did amounts to sexual abuse. Now I am home trying to recover from my surgery and Ive tried several times to call the director of nursing and also the administrative office director, Michael Moore. I left a few nessages for Michael. No response. Its so funny how you cannot get a response back, no matter how many times you call, when the facility does not want to admit they are in the wrong. I have been told on multiple occasions this is medical malpractice and to get the lawyers ready. It has been confirmed on multiple fronts that the nurses do not have the right to touch you in an inappropriate way and at the very least should have asked permission. They had no permission because what they were doing was wrong. So I hope everybody reads this post and please whatever you do dont you ever go to this facility and dont let a loved one go to this facility. If they did that to me, a woman capable of speaking up for herself, can you only imagine what they would do to somebody who is more elderly and not able to speak on their own behalf? What do they do to the patients when the families arent around to watch?Honestly Im scared. I am more scared for the people still in Rosewood rehab facility in Carmichael, because I am now safe from their Wrath. The worst they could do to me is stop me from getting the care I need to recover by listing me as non-compliant. And in itself that has been devastating.

My room mate and I pressed the red call button for hours and were left the climb out of my bed (not easy) and wiggle onto a commode set at my bed side. Just positioning myself on the god awful bed became an hour of struggle. Dont go into their toilet which looks like something built 40 years ago (on the cheap).
