I spent 2 months here recovering and rehabilitating following 3 months of surgical recovery at Kaiser Morse. This was all during Covid when no visitors were allowed. My experience was wonderful. All staff were kind, attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. Sure there were times when my call light wasn’t answered timely or commode wasn’t emptied for a bit but those were rare instances and certainly not the norm.I was very impressed with the wound care expert (Raisa). She was exceptional. And I’d heard stories about how awful the food would be..not here! The food was delicious! I’m more than thankful for my time spent at this facility and highly recommend it for rehabilitation services.

Unorganized staff. Lost my grandmas clothing that she brought in and a television fell on her in the middle of the night and it took 2 hours for anybody to get to her. I do not recommend this place. If I could I give zero stars I would.

This review is to publicly thank Jessica, a member of the staff. Her supervisors are Jeremy and Fairen. During the August heatwave of temps as high as 112 degrees and smoky air from the nearby wildfires, Mom was wheeled to the front window for my visits to boost her spirits but because of the aforementioned conditions, the windows were kept closed, compounding the difficulty in communicating while we both wore Covid-19 masks. Jessica sanitized her cellphone and headphones for my mom to use for clearer communication and I was able to call Jessicas phone with my cellphone and give Mom a daily visit to keep her mind occupied during her recuperation from hospitalization. The phone and headphones were wiped and hand sanitizer was given to Mom before and after use. Jessica recognized the situation and took practical steps to resolve it. For the past month, Mom has continued her recuperation at home with no problems. Thank you, Jessica!

Most of the CNAs are OK but he management is incompetent. I was there after surgery on my left foot at Kaiser-Roseville during August 2019 to September 2019 and Shannon the RN is a nasty vicious person. She had to discharged to a dumb called Blessings where the caretaker left at 3pm and left the inmates in charge almost all ex-cons who were very hostile to me. I ended up calling 911 and the Citrus Heights PD responded while a dope party was going on. They also missed up my returning to a nice independent senior living center.

I have to say, Eskaton has been in business for 40 years and to only see 5 reviews tells me that the few that are on here are not indicative of the care that I am seeing. Yes the building is older, but the staff is on it. My mother is getting outstanding attention and care. I have spoken with much of the staff, including the 40 yr in service Occupational Therapist in charge of the OTs and PTs and he is knowledgeable and easy to work with. There may be better facilities, but you would not be disappointed in the service and medical care you would receive here.

My Dad was here to recover from a broken hip. My biggest concern was that patients are given a call button which is supposed to summon a caregiver, but whenever I was there and Dad needed assistance, no one EVER responded to the call button! I would have to roam the halls to find someone willing to help. More than once when Dad needed help, a nurse was literally standing right in front of his room, but she refused to help - it was not her job!!! She said I would need to find the caregiver assigned to his room. One time we waited 40-minutes for someone to come help him, and this was after I asked at least 5-people to please come help him, and each one said it was not their job. I hate to think what happens to patients who do not have a family member with them to be their advocate. That is my biggest problem and concern about this facility - unresponsive staff who really dont seem to care about the patients. One assistant almost dropped my Dad when helping him in the bathroom - he was not apologetic. He was simply not attentive to what he was doing, and treated my Dad roughly! Other problems are the food is unappetizing. The carpets are an unfortunate design that looks faded and dirty. Its loud and chaotic. Not restful at all. I am really concerned that Kaiser has this place on their list of choices to go for rehab. Our experience was very negative

This place is fantastic. You buy into it, then you have independent living, assisted living, nursing home care, memory care, and amenities like fitness center, post office, bank, shops... Its like a small village.

Terrible facility. Nurses are incompetent & negligent. Patients with severe issues are left unattended for hours. Would not recommend this facility to anyone for any amount of time.

I am vegan and had to fight almost every meal to get something I could eat. The CNA and support staff were good. The nursing staff was mean and ugly tempered for the most part. Two and three days went by at a time before anyone bothered to help you wash up or anything. Given the choice again I would never willing come here for recovery again

My mom is currently a patient there, 88 with fractured hip, they only get her up one time a day to walk with PT not once weekend or holiday, dont respond to lights for help to bathroom, wont give her food she can eat even after meeting with dietician ... sores in mouth no one will address and they say she is ready for discharge home .. hasnt even walked with walker alone to bathroom ... extremely disappointed in care, shame on Kaiser for sending their patients there with sub-standard care.
