If I was going to a place with only one restaurant, Id go here! Id go here even if there were a dozen restaurants. TRY THE PIES!! The service comes with genuine smiles from people who actually seem to be glad you are there. Nothing like being in town. And the only reason Im glad theyre not in town is because the Queen area is absolutely gorgeous, and I truly enjoy the restaurant and the forest.

Update 7/15/182nd visit since the new owners took over. Excellent food and the burgers are still Ginormous! Great mom & pop stop, come by and eat some good home made food.Great experience here this past weekend (5/7/17). My friends and family were super shocked by the sheer size of the burgers and homemade fries. From what I understand they may be adding a Queens Challenge burger... Burger patties were a little under-seasoned but nothing that cant be adjusted with the table salt and pepper :) Recommended!

Please update your hours. We drove many many miles just to see that you are closed. Kind of looks like the whole place is abandoned. Really irritating.

Absolutely awesome place. Green chile cheese fries to die for. Had a delicious brisket plate with some cobbler, phenomenal. People here were extremely friendly, just like the service. Check their Facebook for any updated posts to see if they are up to anything special, like Friday movie nights!

The Duke burger was delicious, and huge! The fries were tasty, and a large portion, but a bit soggy, but I had ordered takeout, and it took a bit longer to get to my campsite than I had expected, so thats on me and I wont dock any stars for that. The staff was very friendly. Ive taken 2 stars off because none of the staff was wearing masks.

I stopped in a few Saturdays ago and I dont recommend this place. They dont wear gloves or mask they let well over the amount of people that is allowed in their cafe. We waited over an hour for 3 burgers and fries. The burgers were soggy and they didnt give me fries with two of my burgers as I ordered I paid 40.00 for horrible food and service the people that work there look like they hate their job and have no customer service skills. For 40.00 they should have food out fresh and provide great customer service.

Definitely worth the drive! Service with a smile and large portions!

Ive been here 3 times. Usually to meet up with escorts to communication sites. It has never been open. Im guessing its a summer tourism operation. Very beautiful place though.

Went up for a shrimp boil. Had a great time! Got some evening rain showers, and listened to live music. When they put another event on, I would definitely consider going. Even got to hang out with the Sheriff.

Lived in New Mexico all our lives and decided to finally visit Sitting Bull Falls, near Carlsbad. Our son recommended the cafe in Queen and we were very impressed. We had a great green Chile cheeseburger and homemade fries. The strawberry rhubarb homemade pie with vanilla ice cream was also terrific. Made the trip complete!

Super nice couple run a cozy little burger joint. Ive traveled quite a bit - plenty of Midwest road trips, and they have the absolutely best burger Ive had. Will be making the several hour drive again - for their burgers and service!!

So disappointed not open on Saturday during Labor Day weekend. Arrived at 1230 to find it closed, no sign of closure at all or closed due to holiday. Nothing posted here on Google Maps... I checked, and it said it would be open. Maybe post if not going to be open. I get it, its a long weekend and you are like everyone else... Traveling or just want time off... But post it so the rest know not to come then... But what do I know...

They have a semi-famous burger challenge and a great selection of pies, with wonderfully friendly staff. I wouldnt take the burger challenge though, as the burgers are too good to rush. If Im ever climbing at Last Chance Canyon again, Ill be stopping in!

Order the pie. No specific pie, order all of them. To. Die. For. I ordered two pieces to go after our quickly served lunch - caramel pecan and pecan. Best slices of pie Ive ever had in my life & Ive tried lots of pecan pies. Secondly, the owners and workers are the nicest people youll meet. The burgers are cooked fresh - both gynormous and wonderful. We will continue to come all the way from Carlsbad for lunch, it is that good.

The mountain man burger, homemade pies, and the owners are super nice people, will sit down with you and have a friendly conversation or just ask how your meal is. Love it well worth the nice scenic ride up there.
