Excellent stay! The facilities and grounds were so clean and organized, and the staff were all EXTREMELY friendly and very helpful. There are no lakes or jaw dropping scenery to see, but it was a wonderful area with plenty to offer. The lot we were on and the lots we saw were all level, had full hookups and spacious. They serve bbq meals and other food (upon ordering) as well if thats something you want. Rec area was nice. Laundry facilities available. My favorite part was being allowed to have a fire pit! The site was peaceful and all around wonderful. If you like to venture from camp, there is a little like winery/pumpkin patch and brewery nearby, as well as the fabulous Carlsbad Caverns and Sitting Bull Falls for a short drive away.

Stayed here recently for a week, had a nice, semi shady spot. Close to the pool (which was small but nice), spots were large and had a grassy patio area. Clubhouse with games for the kids, small store, fenced dog park, good cell service, 24 hour laundry.. Staff was super friendly. About 30 min drive to Carlsbad and 1 hr to the Caverns. Great KOA.

Beautiful campground that is very well maintained. Lots of neat activities for kids and families - giant checkers and chess, basketball, rec room, and pool. Restrooms were spotless! The Tent Village was neat, having electricity and lights was handy, and water spigot too. We definitely enjoyed our quick overnighter.

This place is amazing. Lots of room and you have the option to reserve a tent site when you get there. The dog park is huge and the dogs are very friendly. The staff is very friendly as well and the neighbors are nice too. There maybe hot weather out here but it is still nice to come and visit. Cabins have a lot of space for it to hold 6 people. Everything is almost 30 minutes away but when you get into town you get to see a lot of cool things.

We had a great stay at this KOA! There was an abundance of wildlife for you to enjoy without even leaving the campground. The staff was super friendly, and they had hot water! Close proximity to Roswell, which was a really fun place to visit! One thing, the men’s bathroom was closed so my husband had to walk a bit to use the unisex bathroom in the middle of the campground. Past reviews from a month ago mentioned the same thing. If it’s been that long, it’s time to either get that project wrapped up, or find a different contractor.

Not a big fan of this KOA. No refrigerator in the four person cabins, but there was air conditioning. The cabins could use a better cleaning. It was very dry and dusty, which kicked in my long forgotten allergies. We stayed here when the mens shower room was closed for renovation. The males had to use the three unisex shower rooms, which were further away from our cabin and half of the time occupied. The ladies shower room was good according to my wife. The unisex shower rooms were often dirty with a half dozen or so flies. The flies made it hard to eat outside at the picnic tables, as well. Not to mention a litter of cats lived under the unisex shower rooms. Not all RV sites have trees for shade as in the case of our traveling companions. Since it was over 100 degrees each day, we had to create our own shady spots. We do not expect to go here again.

Least customer friendly koa I have ever stayed at. Staff not friendly at check in. Instead was verbally read a laundry list of rules which I had no intention of breaking and that were clearly listed on info sheet. Was invited to call for their bbq dinner service but when I called back to same staff 15 minutes later (and during ordering hours) was told not available. Facilities are nice, however.

Stayed for one week at the Carlsbad KOA and found it to be a good, solid RV park. Situated just off a highway between Carlsbad and Roswell, it was easy access to places we wanted to go and for movement to our next location. Check in was quick and the camp hosts were professional and courteous. They had a nice store stocked with supplies which is important since the closest store was almost 30 minutes away. The site was gravel and was generally level. They had two fenced dog parks and there were other areas to walk the dogs. The laundry facilities were good but we did not use the bathrooms/showers. One cool extra was the outstanding sunsets.

Nice spot to stay if you are traveling to the Carlsbad Caverns. There is plenty of space for your RV, with nice pull throughs. We arrived pretty late from watching the Bat Flight (around 9PM) and they had our paperwork in a box just outside of the office. It had all the info we needed. We needed ice in the morning and they had a store on site with reasonable pricing for it.

Terrible environment for tents. Birds are everywhere and called all day and night none stop. Our tent site was infested with large ants and cockroaches. We were the only tent campers on the site and when we asked if we can switch to another site because of the ants but the employees were very rude. They said they didn’t see a reason for us to change even though we told them about the huge amount of ants. I’ve been to KOAs around the US form Florida to California and this was the worst KOA experience. Never will I go back or recommend this site for tents.Reply:I understand nature is part of your KOA but when I requested to switch tent sites because of the ants it was declined. I wasn’t unhappy with your campsite filled with nature. What raged me was what happened when I asked to be switched to another empty campsite. I was declined even tho the other 5 campsites were empty the whole time I was staying at the KOA. I love ants but what I don’t love is when I ask for a change with a reasonable reason it was received as if I was asking for a upgrade to a cabin for the same price. The ants and cockroaches were literally climbing on my tent was it so hard just to move me 10 feet to the left?

Excellent RV park for families. Lots of activities for the family including: life size chess or checkers, horse shoes, swimming, basketball, play ground and large 24 hr activities room. The camp site was very level, wide and long. It had a grass patch with a picnic table and fire pit. Some sites have a table and chairs, swing, covered areas on a stone floor. There were a lot of people walking around and using all the facilities. It is far off the highway so its very quite. Its about half way between Carlsbad and Artesia.

The park itself was nice and well kept. The pool was closed I am sure due to Covid. My only complaint was when I was doing laundry and someone working on the men’s restroom remodel cut a waterline. They held my cloths hostage for over 2 hours since I could not open the front loaders in mid cycle. They did have to restart the wash from the beginning and they did pay for the wash. It just made for a very long night.

Tent sites are all dirt/mud— some insects present. Our site was fairly clear. Minor tree cover. Bathrooms are a decent walk away and were NOT clean— making slippers a must have for showers and disinfectant wipes highly advisable. Also— the birds can be quite loud throughout the night if you are sensitive to it. Altogether makes for an overpriced campground but adequate given the high volume of visitors to nearby Carlsbad Cavern National Park.

Very nice place. Its well maintained & peaceful. The RV spaces are large and each space has its own little yard with drass & a shade tree. Other parks in the area are all built with the sole purpose to make $$, just a dirt lot with no upgrades and spaces crammed together. And changing top dollar rates. So the KOA is by far the best in the area

We stayed here for 3 nights in a RV. The first night we got there we ordered their BBQ. It was all delicious. The brisket, smoked turkey, sausage and pork were loved by my family. They deliver to your RV and it was so nice to be able to set up and not worry about dinner after traveling all day. We did the Carlsbad Caverns and Sitting Bull Falls on one day and then Guadalupe Mountains National Park on day 2.. Nope! Never again! We had a neighbor setting up their tent at 2.30 in the middle of the night!!! Banging and flashing lights and waking everybody up. When we went to politely complain, we were threatened and addressed with cussing. The camping place is fairly good, but they shouldnt allow people setting up in the middle of the night, especially in a place that most people just get some rest before they continue with their roadtrip.Needless to say that we packed up and left. Thankfully, they refunded our money for the 2nd nights stay.

Stayed two nights while visiting the Caverns and surrounding area. Nice large pull thrus, friendly office staff, great brisket dinner brought to our site (order ahead as they have time slots) and two fenced in dog parks side by side, which is always my favorite as my pooch likes his own space. Little to no complaints here— the mens bathroom being closed was a minor inconvenience but not enough of one for me to not return to this KOA. However, there was one male staff member that made one of the females in our party quite uncomfortable on multiple occasions. Its a KOA in the middle of the desert. Bathrooms were clean and well maintained. The laundry had plenty of washers and dryers. There are a few shade trees. Sites are parallel, but reasonably spaced. Not much privacy though. Wifi is weak but ok for email. One neighbor was playing tunes a bit loudly. We tried to get the staff to ask them turn it down, but nothing appeared to happen. There seem to be a number of longtime campers here.

Not up to KOA standards. The park was empty due to Covid19 and all the site lots were overgrown. You would think that they would be able to maintain it now since nobody is here. When we checked in they had 4 people in the office and not one of them was actually out doing any work we actually had to wait for someone to let their dogs out before we could even register our reservation. I feel thats a very poor service for a KOA . They did not even practise social distancing or wearing of any masks. They even parked our trailer right next to another person when the whole campground was empty.
