Went in to the Canton location to get a pair of glasses and Tammy was a FANTASTIC help. She made the whole process so comfortable and fun, when getting glasses is something that often makes me nervous, she made it feel the opposite. I appreciate the amazing service she provided, with additional help from Pauline as well. I will absolutely be back. A great store, they really take care of you here.

Absolutely amazing place! We first went here when my husband had an issue with his eye. The doctor was able to diagnose him right away and prescribe him an antibiotic. Once his eye cleared, we went back for an updated prescription for contacts and glasses. Both times have been absolutely amazing! Everyone is so nice and helpful. The doctor is amazing, helpful, and actually listens! The atmosphere is beautiful. 100% recommend this place! When I need an updated prescription, I will definitely be going here! Thank you for such great care and customer service!!!

Visited again from an annual exam and glasses. Love this place and the service I get. Though I missed some of the “old -timers” (Robert!) who took consistently good care of us when we first visited here about 12 years or so ago, it looks as if the good service and customer care remain with new folks. Mariana, the owner, has established a great shop with lots of styles for all price ranges, sophisticated equipment to ensure “stuff” turns out well, and pleasant and knowledgeable staff. I was pleased to see the needed attention to our health— beating the health of our eyes— as everyone was masked l and, given the store’s size, it was easy to maintain distance.

I thought the service they gave was decent. They were very nice and friendly. The doctor even got me a cup of coffee. There are so many frames in this store. Awesome selection

Hands down the best eye glass store in TOWN!!! Just recently went there with my daughter to get an eye exam and new pair of glasses. From the minute we walked in we were treated like family!! Not only did they make you feel like family, but they took extreme precautions with keeping everyone safe in this pandemic. Each station was sanitized and wiped down before and after we browsed through all the glasses. The doc was beyond knowledgeable and they had the most high tech equipment for your eye exam. Definitely will be back!!

I asked to get my PD to compare it to another eye doctor and they wanted to charge me $40. I used to go to this store for 4 years until I moved. Ridiculous.

First pair of glasses ordered, was ordered wrong and I had to wait an extra week.The day I went to pick up my glasses, I sat and waited for almost an hour, while the associates spoke amongst each other, until one of them came and brought me my glasses.Customer satisfaction must not be a concern.Adjusted from 1 star. Received a phone call after I left a review and was asked about my experience and received an apology.Perhaps customer satisfaction matters, and I just had an off experience.We’ll see next time.

If you have never been to this place, you definitely need to check it out. Besides being the nicest optical store I have ever been in, they have the largest variety of eyewear I have ever seen from your basic pairs to the top of the line!The staff here is friendly and very knowledgeable. They made me feel so comfortable and safe while I was there. Everyone was maintaining a comfortable distance and also was in a mask. They also have wipes and hand sanitizer at every station. I definitely will be back soon with my kids to get eye exams and update their eyewear as well!

Dr. Karana is the BEST! She changed the way my husband sees in his contacts by fitting him in daily disposables. She is extremely knowledgeable, thorough, and patient. Robert is a very talented and professional eye wear specialist. He treats you with courtesy and respect. I will never go anywhere else. Also the eye doctor she is the BEST. She is very detailed with her eye examinations.

My experience at Direct Optical has always been phenomenal. I have been coming to DO since my first pair of glasses at the age of four, and have only tried one other provider. During my busy and frugal years at college, I tried the online provider Eye Buy Direct, and thought I made the best decision because of their prices. Needless to say, get get what you pay for, and I had some pretty cheap glasses for almost 2 years.I finally came to my sense and made my way back to the business I know and trust. Direct Optical has a wonderful selection that isn’t too overwhelming and their staff makes you feel well tailored to. I trust my vision with them, and they will always be my first recommendation.

I have been going to direct optical in canton for many years now, and I must say their service is not what it used to be. I called them this time only wanting an eye exam for a new prescription. They said that they would definitely do that. I show up and they immediately start pressuring me into getting the lenses there. I get it, they want to sell the whole package. They even offered me a great deal to try and keep me. Thats great. However, if I come in wanting only a exam, and I say no to the lenses, dont pressure me. I explained to the man that I wanted Blutech brand blue light blocking, and he said they did not have this brand. Therefore I would go elsewhere as planned for my lenses. When I said this, the man helping me got really short with me and said Whatever. Its your choice I then hand him a $10 gift card and my HSA card to pay the $65 exam fee. He says about the gift card Whats this from? What is it from??? Its a gift card. I said its a gift card and he said back No, what is it from. I said its from the last time when I came and you guys messed up. (They called me to say my lenses were done and once I got there they said they were not ready yet) He proceeded with taking it and then I paid and he got me my prescription and I left. He was short with me through this entire process after I made my decision. Direct Optical, you just tried to keep a customer, but in the process lost a customer. I dont need to be pressured, and I much less do not need to be talked to in such a way. I am sure plenty of your competition would love my business. I will never be back.

Honestly hands down the best place to go for your eye needs! The staff is phenomenal at what they do and will never let you down. They make you feel like home and will help you find your perfect pair of glasses. They treat you with kindness and respect and build a friendship with you. They go out of there way to find what your looking for they even custom ordered the glasses I wanted! This is my second time going there and it will not be my last. Great experience! I actually brought my measurements from another establishment, they verified them and made adjustments which made things better for me. I purchased at new pair of eyeglasses and they refitted my existing pair of sunglasses with new lenses. The team is top notch and I recommend them highly.

Why would I drive 250 miles for my glasses? Because of the way they listen to and serve their customers. Knowing youll walk out of there really happy with the way your glasses fit and perform. Robert is exceptional at tweaking and fitting frames for total comfort. Ill be driving that distance again when its time for new glasses. I think it’s a good place, the doctor is very thorough. The staff generally works well with you. I just had one negative experience. I have an insurance that provides me with one pair a year so for redundancy purposes I wanted an another cheaper pair for the office Incase I forget them at home. For the sake of saving some money i intended to to buy something online. That required some additional information regarding my prescription like PD number. I called the them up and the lady flatly refused to give information regarding MY prescription. How odd is that?? I really like the place and wanted to go there every year to leverage my insurance quota but this left a sour taste. Besides that the general quality of the place is good. I just wish they were a bit more transparent in giving me complete information that I deserved..

I broke a pair of my sunglasses took them back where I bought them they said they couldn’t fix them nothing they could do for me.That’s when I took them to Direct Optical they were more than happy to fix them for me! Super great staff totally recommend this place!

I came in with an impossible to fix limited edition pair of CHANEL sunglasses which Happen to be one of my favorite pair.Not only did Robert do the impossible and fix, the total experience was prompt and flawless. I cannot even believe how great the repair was, they actually feel more secure than when I purchased them.Hands down the most amazing optical service and sales professionals.

I went here with my 2 girls to check out the glasses selection. We had already had an exam elsewhere and just wanted to see some other frame options. We found the staff to be a bit forceful to sell. My kids just wanted to look around and try on frames. Even after we repeatedly said we would like to look around ourselves they continued to bring frames over and over. The kids wanted to leave because they were too aggressive. Won’t go back. If someone tells you they just want to look by themselves then you should let them do that. Read your customer.

I am a difficult case when it comes to vision. I like Direct optical a lot, the doc was very nice and helped me quite a bit. I was able to order what i needed and everything went very well. Gas permeable contacts, Soft lenses for sport, Glasses prescription.... Great place and worked with my insurance. Thank you again!

Please read! First time visiting an optical store. From the second I walked in I felt very comfortable and welcomed. Didnt know what to expect as this is first time ever Ive needed glasses. They explained the process and were extremely patient in finding the perfect pair of glasses for me. (And this wasnt easy as Im not used to wearing glasses at all). I definitely recommend to all. After having an awful experience with an impatient, pompous, and entitled optometrist who was flustered because I was not providing the answers she was hoping to hear, and then later told another optometrist that she purposely gave me a difficult eye chart so I would need a prescription, I knew it was time to switch to a new optometrist.Subsequently, I visited my primary care physician whom recommended Direct Optical Canton Optique. This office provided EXCELLENT optical services and the prices and amount of eyewear the office has can not be beat! The sales professionals were very knowledgeable and have a fantastic eye for fashion. I have never been able to find a pair of sunglasses that fit nicely on my face, but on my first visit, I confidently walked out with two! Moreover, the office itself was very inviting and cleanly.Furthermore, the staff was wonderful! While the optician, Pauline, was delightful and welcoming, the star of the office was Dr. Karana. I recently purchased 2 pair of glasses from Direct Optical, my regular glasses and a pair of sun glasses. The Doctor was fantastic, he explained everything in plain English so it was easy to understand. The customer service is excellent and the choice of frames is second to none. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, I especially liked that they had another person, on the staff, double check their work so that the lenses lined up correctly. The finished products were top notch and the best glasses and lenses for the price I have ever had.

My sister called on a Friday afternoon for a next morning appointment. A conflict came up and she wasnt able to make the appointment, called to cancel, and was notified she would be charged a $35 cancellation charge. Shes been going here for a few years now and was never advised of cancellation policy, nor was she advised about the cancellation fee at the time she made the appointment. Now, she received a notice from a collection agency demanding the $35 fee. Not cool.

I had a great experience and found Robert and Diana to be very honest and helpful in choosing my frames, My Doctor was excellent, she listened to what I was telling her and she responded very well, so I could understand what was happening with my eyes. Buyer beware, this place will take advantage of you and tell you that you have a out of pocket co pay with your insurance. Which was false with my familys Insurance. When the appointment was made the girl took all the information and confirmed my insurance and said you have a $35.00 co pay for the eye exam. I told her no my insurance covers it 100%. So I got off the phone and call my insurance to confirm my coverage and insurance company said no co pay 100% coverage including exam and frames and lenses. Non designer of course just basic. Went for exam, and they pulled it again saying that out of pocket payment was need by the insurance. Which was false. They got tongue tied when I called them out on it. Then they did not know what to say. They started whispering and huddled around to come up with a story now that they are busted. Trying to tell customers to pay more then is needed. THIS PLACE IS A SCAM!!!!!! Also Ask for your prescription they wont give it to you. This place must really be hurting for business that they over charge you, I mean flat out lie by telling you, you have a copay when you dont. I heard of things like this happening before and now it happened again. Hopefully they will change there way of doing business. Im not a online shopper, I would hate a brick and mortar store to go out of business, but when they do well know why. Best of wishes Direct Optical in Canton, Michigan.

I appreciate how helpful the customer service people were. They showed many options and were very thorough. A year later they fixed my lenses after my mistake of using the wrong cleaner. I am looking forward to taking my new Rx to Direct optical after my cataract surgery.

Dr.Karana was very helpful and patient with me every step of the way which I really appreciated because I’m known to be somewhat of a hard person to deal with. She went above and beyond and even followed up with me after a week just to make sure everything was going well because I have very sensitive eyes and she was the first doctor to finally put me in contacts that were a perfect fit. I am so grateful for Tiansa because I have been to LensCrafters, pearl vision and even wal Mart and none of these places were able to figure out what brand of contacts would work well with my condition. This store is completely unable to make lenses ready by time! They told me 1 week now we are at the end of week 3 and I have to drive back home cause the lenses are not ready even they called me a few days before and told me the lenses are ready.The quality is bad and they are not friendly. Never ever again!

Dr. Karana throughly went through the exam and was very patient and professional. She answered any questions I had and was a pleasure to work with. Direct Optical Optique is the best place to go to I love this place

The staff is what makes this place great, helpful and friendly. Theyll adjust your glasses and fix them for free whenever you need it. Theres a lot of choices to choose from. It can be expensive though, watch out.

Ive been with DO for years. This year I tried to get my prescription changed in my sun glasses. They broke my frames in the process, b blamed me for giving them fractured frames, charged my credit card $369 for lenses. Now 6 weeks later, they want me to come in and pick out a new set of frames with a 25% discount. Thats pushing the price of my sunglasses north of $500. I attempted to cancel and they want to fight. Dont have time in this life to fight with an ethically impaired company.

Horrible experience. Their prescription was totally wrong, they overcorrected my astigmatism and messed up the progressive. I could not see my computer, everything was blurry.
