When I moved to Allston in 2017, I was on the hunt for a good nail salon I can call home. I visited a few other salons in the area but they were overly priced and the work wasnt great.Its the most affordable salon I could find in the Allston Brookline Brighton area that also does great work. I have been going to this nail salon for about 10 years. It has had many owners, some better than others, but the current ones are great. I get the powder dip now and Kenny does a great job!!! Tanya, Claudia, and everyone else does a wonderful job too. They have been flexible with me, stayed late and such, they take care of their return clients, and always WELCOME new customers too!!!

They don’t offer tanning, despite their name. I called the day before to see if I needed an appointment to tan, and the woman said they take walk-ins, so it was ok to show up. The next day I went and they said “we don’t do that.” Maybe change your name to not include services you no longer offer so people don’t take time to visit.

I have been going here since I moved to Boston 2.5 years ago. This past year they under went a management change. They are as amazing as ever. I personally think their quality has gone up. I have gotten regular pedicures and manicures, gel, and acrylic all so amazing. My acrylic lasts for a solid 3 weeks as long as I don’t accidentally break a nail biking. The gel usually last me 3 as well! I recently got my nails done for my wedding. It just emphasizes that o should never go to another place. They are frequently busy/ but always worth the wait! I never feel like they are trying to rush even when there are people waiting. They all take pride in their work!

I’ve been going to this nail salon for 2 years now and I am always happy with the way my nails turn out. I go to Claudia for gel because she is friendly, quick, cleanly, and always leaves my nails looking perfect (long-lasting too, never chipping). Most of my experiences have been with Claudia, but I can tell the whole group is just as great. So happy I stumbled across this place after moving to Brookline!

This is my favorite place for getting dip manicure. A huge selection of different colors, clean facility, instruments, workstations. I usually make an appointment, but sometimes just call ahead. Very friendly and hard working staff. Highly recommend.

I have been getting my nails done since i was a child, so I am WELL versed in the ways of nail salons! I ALWAYS request the exact same manicure (full set acrylic stilettos, black gel coats w/ a matte finish) with COUNTLESS attempts at countless locations, theyve turned out crooked, lumpy, broken prematurely, shredded my cuticle...LOTS of less than desirable experiences to choose from BUT tonight, Awesome Tan Nails & Spa totally KILLED the set they gave me! Not only are they a stones throw from my house, they charged EASILY half the price of previous locations. I cant rave enough, location, price, friendliness, etc etc BUT the icing on the cake was that my nails are PERFECT! Theyve NEVER been this flawless before so Im as happy as a clam! 😁😎 (even the technician took pics of them after b/c he was pretty chuffed with how they came out). Done deal, Awesome Tan Nails & Spa has my business!

Went in for a gel mani and regular pedi. Great service. Nice employees. All for $52. Some of the employees also use venmo for tipping in case you dont carry cash on you. Will definitely be going again.

Its hard to find a salon in Boston who know how to properly do acrylic nails. I was really impressed with their work!

I recently move to Brookline and was nervous about finding the right nail salon for me. Thankfully I got to Tan nails. Keny did an outstanding job!Awesome prices, fantastic service and great ambience.Will keep coming back!!!

Ive been coming here for years because not only is it close to where I live and right off the greenline, the staff is very talented and work well with each other and the clients to run the operation smoothly. Ive tried other places but always end up coming back to AWESOME because they are the best in Brookline.

Unbeatable price a quality! My gel manicures here always last 2-3 weeks and they always do a great job. My mom came to visit me and she said she liked this place better than the one she goes to at home!

I will never come back to this place. My acrylic nails are crooked and uneven. While I was getting my nails done, I asked if he could fix them just to make them more even he proceeded to tell me he can’t do that because “that’s the shape of my nail and too picky. It’ll never be even”.If that wasn’t enough I had to clip my own cuticles. He thought it was funny. After I left come to find out most of My nails are not even on my nail. There is a gap between the natural nail and the acrylic. I’m very unhappy with this place.

I was going to try the new MiniLux in Coolidge corner but out of some nostalgia I decided to come back to this place, man am I glad I did! It was always good but they have stepped up their game. I got the best leg massage I have ever had with a pedicure: exfoliating scrub, hot stones, lotion, hot towel! Bliss! Its not my neighborhood anymore but Ive decided that from now on its worth the trip.

Sad we didnt have a good experience after reading other reviews.I told the nail tech 4 times the water was cold. She fixed it for about 1 minute.The chair I sat in kept turning off.The leg massage was minimal.My daughter was allowed to get a pedicure but the nail tech added designs to her toes and then took her over to the manicure station and did manicure with design as well. I thought she took her to get her toes dry. Either way, she should have asked me and not the 5 year old if she was planning on charging for all those things.I overheard two other ladies saying how rushed they felt during the manicure and that they were not happy with the paint job.This was a Saturday after 3pm.

I love this place ( I have been coming here since 2005) but today they did me dirty. They have a punch card and mine two away from getting a free manicure. She took the card ripped it up and gave me a new card. I did not think to look at it, she said the place was under new management. Once I got home I realized I had less stamps that I should have and instead of a free manicure, it was only $5 off. Not very cool of them. If you are going to change something like that you should wait till the card is finished and then explain that it is no longer a free manicure. So if you have a punch card beware.

A friend and I came here and had a great experience! We did have to wait a bit even though wed called ahead but other than that it was a great experience! We both had very good gel manicures and are very happy with the service!

I just moved up to Boston and was asking around for the best nail place cause I was spoiled in Florida...this place by far met my expectations! I had made an appointment and they took me right at my time even though the place was packed they got me started. They were able to multitask very well and made sure everyone was happy. I do the powder polish and am always so nervous to try new people and seeing how quickly she was able to do my nails I was scared to look. BUT when I did they looked amazing and I loved them!! I was on a time crunch and she was able to not only fit with my time but also make my nails gorgeous for my night on town. I will definitely be back and referring them to everyone. Thank you!!

Usually I have a decent experience but today it really wasnt that good. First I came in and asked if Claudia can do my nails and I was told yes, you just have to wait for her to finish up. 10-15 minutes later I asked how long she will be and at this point Claudia overheard me and said that she is in the middle of a pedi and still has a mani to do, so a while. Not sure why I wasnt told that the wait would be SO long. I asked to see someone else, which was fine (I didnt have an appointment). While drying my nails, I messed one up (obviously my fault but it happens) - it wasnt really fixed well so I had to ask for it to be re-done again and the guy who works there yelled at me that they dont have time to fix my nail 3 times. They fixed it and I couldnt wait to get out of there - I couldnt believe the rude customer service. Ill need to find a new spot!
