Love this salon and highly recommend Samantha. I recently started coming here and am so happy with my hair. Samantha takes time to listen to what I want and adds her own ideas so my hair comes out better than I expected. The salon is clean, no wait time, easy to get an appointment and there is parking behind the building.

Ive been going to Dellaria for haircuts for over two decades... first a couple years at the Newton location, and since then over in Brookline. After we were married, my wife started going there as well. We had a son, and he started going, too. :-) Obviously, we love the place, and are always psyched with the work that Allie does. It may be a bit on the pricey side for short mens cuts, but its totally worth it.

I have been going to Dellaria Brookline for 20+ years now. Not only are the services the best of the best (I am often asked my random strangers who does my hair color!)- but they treat you like family. Everyone I have ever interacted with- from the front desk- to having my hair washed- it feels like personalized service and that they all really care.

Go see Allie, shes the best!! The whole salon is very clean and everyone is super knowledgeable and friendly.

I booked an appointment for a color, cut and blow dry based on the website for the Brookline location, after doing so I got the confirmation and was so excited to get a new haircut. On the day of my appointment (about 1 hour before) I was called by representative to inform me the time slot that was booked (based off the services and time slots they offered) was not long enough. The representative was very unapologetic and blunt and I do not recommend using them based on this level of unprofessionalism.

I came to Dellaria in Brookline looking for a new salon since I just moved here. I am a pretty basic client- long uncolored hair, and I just need layers touched up and dead ends cut. I made my appointment for 9am knowing they open at 830 so I wouldnt be opening the location. I arrived at 8:50 and the salon was dark. I thought maybe I had the wrong place and triple-checked my emails and texts where I got even more confused. The address in the emails says 332 Harvard but the business says 322.At 9:05 the receptionist ran across the street and let me in. She didnt ask my name or check me in at all so I awkwardly sat down in the waiting area and waited for direction. Then she started to do her own hair at the salon chair right in front of me. I sat there for another 15 minutes until another girl walked in and completely ignored me. She went to the back of the building. 5 minutes later, she came out and asked my name, and escorted me to my chair. It was 9:20 when I finally sat down with no apologies about the lateness.The cut itself was okay but I asked for long layers and can confirm that I have ZERO layers in my hair right now. Id also like to add that the receptionist ignored two calls while she was straightening her hair. When I was ready to check out, I waited at the front desk for Sasha for another 3-5 minutes before she came in the front door with Starbucks.Like I said above, I am pretty easy about what my hair looks like and I have never complained or wrote a review about a bad restaurant experience but this salon experience was absolutely terrible and I wont be going back or referring anyone here. I understand people run late and that some requests are difficult to execute but all of these combined experiences added up were awful.A bad haircut is fine and I can live with it and give a salon another chance but the way I was treated here is unforgivable. A front-facing person for a business should not be as rude as Sasha was. This was quite possibly one of the worst salon experiences I have ever had.

So this place is amazing. Not only is everyone very sweet but they are VERY skilled. I always feel beautiful leaving here! My only thing is when I got my hair colored, it wasn’t the exact color I wanted but it was still beautiful so I couldn’t find fault

Ive been having my hair cut and styled at Dellaria-Brookline for almost 20 years. The salon is always running on time and the one time there was a mixup, the salon more than made it right. My stylist is Shelley, who is just fabulous! I am always completely satisfied when I leave. Dellaria has an online appointment scheduler which means making an appointment is very hassle-free. Since re-opening during Covid, the staff has been extra vigilant (the salon was always super clean) about wiping down chairs between clients. All-in-all, a really great salon!

I met with Samantha who was an absolute delight to talk to. She was patient with me and my needs. I was going from long hair to short and hence had a lot of anxiety but she did a fabulous job! The haircut was to perfection and Im totally in love. Definitely my go to place from now on!

I had a great experience at Dellaria. Booking was very easy online and the cleaning protocol at the salon seemed quite good as well. I have curly hair which is hard to style, but Anna did a great job at it. She very carefully evaluated my hair and talked to me about styling and care.

Took good precautions with covid. My trim ended up pretty uneven and my color wasn’t corrected. It was definitely a difficult ask but I wish they would’ve told me to reschedule for a longer period when they could’ve fixed it. I also felt like I was being gawked at for my hair dye gone wrong (I mean it’s quarantine people, don’t act like you’re surprised home hair color has never been bad before). I left happy but after I washed and styled it myself I saw how bad it was. I don’t think I’ll be going back.

Special shout-outs to Sandy, who manages the salon with so much grace and skill and to Shelley, who is the kindest and most skilled stylist around.

This is the best salon in the greater Boston area. Zaza is a wonder. Sandy is warm, genuine, and a charismatic leader. The whole team is professional and full of good humor.

If it wasn’t for the 2 receptionist’s at the front desk, a blond and a brunette I would give this salon 5 stars. No one wants to walk in and be greeted with attitude. If your not a happy friendly person you should not be working in customer service. The face of a business needs smiles always. I called to schedule a same day appointment the lady on the phone put me on hold and hung up on me probably by accident. when I called back she had such attitude. Other then that annoying bit, they were able to give me a appointment right away which was super convenient and awesome. My daughters hair dresser was D and he was AMAZING! Very talented. He was super friendly and attentive. My daughter was a bit shy but she loved him. The back of the house seemed super up beat and friendly we were all talking with each other even the clients. Don’t let the front desk scare you away, if you can get passed the snotty front desk you’ll be very pleased with the rest. D gave my daughter the best haircut! Thank you D!

I’ve been coming to this salon for years and getting my hair cut and colored by Heather. She’s an experienced and skilled stylist so I always walk out with a great haircut and color, and in addition to that, I just love spending time with Heather while she’s doing her work. She’s an absolutely wonderful person. And Sandy runs the place beautifully, always on top of everything that she needs to keep track of, but in a fun and supportive way to everyone.

The first image I received from the Salon was of space, soft light and graceful silhouettes ; the impression remains after many years. The artists work on you to make you more beautiful, and when you leave, your self confidence is higher than when you got in ! They all are Gifted and have a real interest in not only the look of your hair but their health! The prices are very reasonable and also, a good point, you do not wait and feel that you are wasting precious time!

Have been here a few times, all with different stylists, but I have to say that (male) Sam who did my foil highlights this past visit was AMAZING. He was the only stylist so far who knew how to work with my hair so that I ended up a vibrant blonde. 10/10 will be going back to him.

I love Dellaria Brookline. The atmosphere is casual and relaxing. I have been going to Rachel Tseng for 10 plus years and she is everything to me. Sandy, the manager, holds it down and works magic with the schedule when you just need to get in. Now that I think about it, I have never seen or heard a dissatisfied customer while in the salon. That’s actually quite impressive.

Realky great for a mens haircut!! I struggle to find a salon that can cut my hair short and actually make it look nice. A crew cut just doesnt suit me and a good scissor cut needs talent. Thats what delaria has to offer. It was busy when I went in so I definitely recommend making an appointment.

Shelly is awesome. She is very fast and does exactly what you ask her. My hair is curly and gets out of shape fast, she always gives me an amazing cut that stays in shape for months.

This is really dependent on the stylist. My first visit was fantastic but the second time I was with a different hair dresser. Some will communicate and some will not and just go through the motion. I believe that their work and hair cuts reflect the type of person. You really need to be with a person that loves their job and really enjoys it. Unfortunately my hair stylist gave me the stereotypical hairdo without any questions. There were some parts that were awesome and others were not great. The worst part was having the stylist shave my hairline back. I know there are some great styles with that square look but I am upset that my stylist shaved my hairline only on one side thus making me look that I have a receding hairline. See the picture attached (this was taken two days after the haircut).

I’ve been getting hair cuts here for years and though they have had a few issues with stylists who do men’s cuts I have still been satisfied!

Based on previous reviews, I in with high hopes. Sorely disappointed. I clearly stated to the hair dresser that I wanted to keep the lengthy and just add a few layers to lighten it up. Simple enough you would think, yet as I walk out with my once beautiful long hair chopped, I guess I needed to be much more explicate. Then l again what can you expect when the give you a two minute consult. Between that and the lack of atmosphere it is fair to say I will not be returning.

Seems there is a trend here...this is the place to get all your hair cut off even if you dont want it to be. Asked for my hair to be cut slightly shorter and to have a gloss treatment for shine but not color. Cut nearly all my hair off, like I was joining the military, and colored what was left of my hair. Also, rude service too. Im not sure why I keep feeling lucky when I get last minute appointments, good places are always booked and if you can get in same day, why ask for trouble? If its not a big deal go to Walmart, better job, better service, 1/3 price...yes I said Walmart and its not sarcasm...
