This place is a joke. They make you wait 2 months for an appointment but because my fiancé was showing covid like systoms they wouldnt let him in. The 2 covid test they gave him cane back negative but they still refused him entry. They skyped him and would only discuss his covid like systoms and not answer any question he had regarding the actual reason he scheduled the appointment to begin with. We were told to schedule another appointment after the hospital figured put what was wrong yet when we tried to call they said hes a new patient since he never entered the building. I filled out all his paperwork and hes a patient there but because they denied him entry and arent accepting new patients anymore they told us to move doctors. After already switching to him and changing his insurance over to this doctor they switch him again. This is a total joke and an abuse of power. I get the covid precautions are necessary but this is ridiculous. Sickness should be taken more seriously now that covids around but no one can get into the doctors because no new patients due to covid. They set it up so they ca get paid without actually seeing any patients. I hope everyone working there is proud of themselves for turning away people in need when theyve been waiting months

This was the very first place that I took my children were every single person was genuine and helpful. The dentist office was knowledgeable, prepared, clean, and didn’t treat my child like a profit.

The pediatric dentists are amazing. We live in bradenton and drive an hr and a 1/2 because they are that good. My son has sensory processing disorder and they do an amazing job of making him comfortable. He has been to 3 other dentists but Brandon community health is the only one he doesnt have to be sedated for. Great job guys!!

I couldnt have been happier with our whole experience. The staff made my 4 year old as comfortable as possible and were so nice. Glad we picked this office. My son had a tooth pulled yesterday and is not afraid to go back. I highly recommend.

Absolutely disappointed with their referral authorization process. They do not communicate clearly, and are not helpful on the phone. My mother was sent to have a CT scan that needed a blood test before the scan. Since she is a hard pick (went two times to their labs and they couldnt find her veins), she was asked to go to a hospital for her CT scan. Its been 3 weeks and weve been trying to get an authorization for the CT scan for a provider outside of Suncoast, and even though they claim they have left messages with the provider, the provider/hospital hasnt received any reason for not getting the authorization yet. Weve been forced to reschedule this CT scan 2 times now! On top of it, the CT scan requires the blood test as I mentioned before, and Suncoast did not send any form of communication to let us know we needed to add another request for the blood test, we learned about it from the provider!!!!! One more thing to wait for: the blood work order/authorization... Patients shouldnt deal with this bureaucracy, Thank God my mother has her children to help her out, but what about a sick person that doesnt have neither the energy nor the time to deal with this???? Absolutely nonsense. There is a better way, and I hope Suncoast figures this out soon enough.

Worst place ever, they have you on the phone waiting for hours if is up to them, they are very rude. Let me start by the first appointment it was annoying since the start they made my daughter appt for Dover when I lived in Brandon, they told me I could just go to the Brandon office, it was an entire deal about it when they provided the wrong information. Let me not even mention (Maria (Dover) from referrals with her Cancerous tumor mistake on my 4 year old), I been trying to get my daughters vaccine records and physical for school for 2 days and they keep giving me the run around with this issue. They gave me a phone number to call and get the records but they never answer or they just hang up doesnt even give me the option for voicemail.

Not always kid friendly. But its the best place to go to get pediatric dental and optometrist in one place. Plus they have an adult doctor, as well as counselor or behavioral services. And many more useful services.

I was there yesterday they said was full and to have comeback at afternoon so I came back 30 mins later and they said the same thing that already was full.So I came today morning and they said the same thing so was going on?. 2 months ago I ask for covid19 vaccine and they refused to give to me, yesterday I ask for the same and said they dont have enough. So I am a new patient and I need to have a pap smear and mammogram done. Well you need a new patient appointment first (2-3 weeks out) in which nothing can be done besides getting your medical history, and then you can make an appointment (another 2-3 weeks out). But then I was scheduled for a pap smear first since the slot was sooner but if I book that then I cant schedule a new patient appointment for my mammogram until AFTER the pap smear...like what?! Scheduling is totally off and makes no sense...

Went in for a check up and lab work without getting an appointment and was taking great care of and was done in less than an hour

I’ve called here 3 times, and each time been on hold over 30 minutes. Every time, as soon as I’m next in the line they disconnect. It’s not me, it’s not my phone, the prompt says “you’re next in line” and then they hang up. Never been there, but obviously won’t be able to with their phone services. My last hold time was 41 minutes

This place is run by un professionals who make false promises and do not do what they say. They Waste a lot of time of people. Dr LaRosa is optometry department is one of those unprofessionals. Try to avoid this place. Every time you go there, you will wait for hours and hours.

Absolutely livid. Today my wife was contacted by the office manager for mental health, she spokd to a woman by the name of Tracy. This woman said they had availability for tomorrow and wouldnt allow my wife to get a word in edgewise to explain that we were unavailable tomorrow for another Dr appointment. My wife, after several attempts to interject, simply hung up the phone. This woman cancelled my wifes other appointment scheduled for next week and has annotated my wifes account stating that they will not schedule another appointment until she speaks with this woman again. This is, without question, abuse of power and being a mental health clinic Im sure they get their fair share of patients that the clinic perceives as rude. Im curious how many times this woman, Tracy, has strong-armed other patients.

I was referred here by a coworker and Im so HAPPY I came. I have a 7yr old and have been coming here for 2 years. All the staff including the Dentists are EXCELLENT. Dr. Jackson is his favorite, but we met Dr. AJ today and she is awesome. They are totally hands on for the kids. I would refer anyone here. Nothing but a great experience. Staff wasnt very friendly and I was not impressed with the services.

I had covid testing done, the women are wonderful and kind. The process was less than 5 mins and they handled my nose with care. 😊The test feels like a q-tip in your nasal cavity, it wasnt too bad.

Went for the covid screening. Everyone is so professional and polite. This is the most organized setup I have ever seen. I work in healthcare and know how stressful things are. The people working were friendly and made everything run so smooth.

My daughter goes to the dentist here. You set an appointment just to be sitting there for over 30 minutes to go back . They don’t answer the phone . They just hang up the incoming calls. They schedule way too many people at one time during this pandemic. The office is super crowded . And they do not have a sense of urgency. If you schedule an appointment here make sure it’s your day off of work because one appointment takes forever.

Staff is very rude. I’ve had to reschedule my appointment 4+ times because they keep scheduling me at the wrong time. I am a mom of littles and my oldest child is in school until 2 so I schedule my appointments AFTER 2 so that I’m able to be available for him in case of emergencies throughout the day. I explained this to office staff the last few times I’ve had to reschedule. They completely dismiss you and your concerns and questions. Recently I scheduled my newest appointment for the 21st and they called me to cancel because my provider won’t be available that day, so I call back to see if I can see a different provider because I’ve been needing to be seen for months and trying to get seen for a few months and the lady on the phone told me that no providers period would be available before the 18th of January. I’m going into dental surgery on the 5th and have a long recovery ahead of me so I’m trying to get into the doctors for a multitude of reasons before January and they are saying that it’s impossible because there will be no provider available... I even asked about a different location and still...I was told no providers will be available until the 18th. So now I’m having to call my insurance to see about changing offices and providers and hope I can get seen before the 5th of January. This office is poorly managed and rude and they do not explain things to you when you ask follow up questions. They push you off onto the next person or out the door with attitude. I will never come back to this office again.

My husband waited for 2 hrs to get seen. And when he got seen for 10 mins they told him just to go to the hospital. And he paid $109 for all that... how dissapointing. We shouldve just go straight to the hospital then.

I have been a patient with suncoast community over 11 years. Warm and friendly staff, but they need to improve on their wait time and their hold times on the phone. Long wait time discourages me to make and show up to appointments.

Staff is polite. Unfortunately the wait here for absolutely anything is completely dreadful. I definitely wouldn’t recommend on a busy day to schedule with them. Even with an appointment I had to and hour to get attended.

I come here alot. I take my 3children and my mother here. Ive only ha one bad experience and it was at the entrance with Covid screening. The MA only took temp and did not ask the screening questions. When in the pediatricians waiting room a man came in with his 2 sick children and were not asked the screening questions either. If they were asked questions Im sure they would have told him to wait outside. Luckily the woman at the front desk responded immediately and told him to please wait outside. He hung out for a little bit while his son coughed and spit and she asked them again politely to go. They responded brought in the cleaning crew and wiped everything down and sprayed lysol and was careful with my 16mo old. I appreciated them for taking action with care❤.

My wife, with our daughter and I encountered this practice at a book fair inside the South Shore library 2/1/20. They offered a free screening of our daughters mouth. We joined them in one of the conference rooms in the library and let them check our daughters mouth. About 3 weeks later we got a bill in the mail for $114. They clearly led us to believe we were not being charged, and that this was just a promotion. Nor did they asked about insurance or any payment method. We were under the impression the services being rendered was at not cost. What they did and how they did it was definitely misleading and deceptive, under the guise that it would not cost us anything. If a dentist cant be honest, forth coming, and transparent in a small matter like this, how can they be trusted in a more serious matter?

I went to see the pediatric dentist because my son was in pain/ the office people had me sign all this paperwork then told me to have a seat I sat for over three hours and half waiting. I went to the desk asking why it was taking so long, she went oh, you didn’t have an appointment we will call you when we can. I’m like okay, I have a small kid seating here in pain and you telling me I didn’t have an appointment that you’ll call when you can she went yes. They should have said something to me before going thru all the paperwork and the wait. I am very disappointed, they didn’t care that my child was suffering. I do not recommend this office to any family

Had to take a family member here it is a great place that has everything all-in-one for those who dont have a lot of transportation or a lot of time or knows the area. Great customer service and awesome employees with understanding peoples situations

Dr. Simmons in pain management gave me 2 options for my chronic pain. My primary doctor suggésted one option. When it differed from her plan. Knowing prior to the next appointment she knew I did not do well with invasive needles in the past(cortisone shots), and did not want to give the alternative she suggested in the first place. I was dismissed from the office with no treatment for my pain. She was aware of all my information. I violated nothing. But was told I violated their policies? They were in such a hurry to get me in that no policies were made clear or read or given to me. Just sign here. By the 3rd appointment I was dismissed from the practice.

My primary care physician is at BCHC They have a very clean environment the doctors and staff do their very best to make you feel welcome and comfortable the minute you walk in the door. But one thing is for sure dont call the office to try and get through to talk to someone about anything I have been on hold an average of 15-30 minutes and still had to call back due to tired of waiting I no that yes they do get busy but the wait time shouldnt be that long

Doesnt deliver what is promised... Fees vary from staff member to staff member here. Absolute fight to accomplish what I needed done.. (Paperwork for the state) and wound up costing me over 400.00 and SEVERAL trips back and forth trying to have my paperwork filled out.

I was a total mess when I came in yesterday. The staff and management was very considerate and understanding. The supervisor down stairs went out of her way for me many times. My Medical Assistant, Victoria, was the most personal woman Ive ever met. She was very sweet and obviously, very caring.I truly believe this facility was a gift from God. I havent been able to see a doctor in 3 years due to lack of funds, but they made it possible for me.I really appreciate everything they did for me, and I will be returning for medical, dental and vision.

Initially loved this clinic, Dr. Fontoura gave excellent care- but calling in for an appointment was always frustrating. On average 2-3 months to schedule. The last straw- Recently I realized I missed my child’s 12 month wellness, called the same day to let them know my mistake and the earliest they could get me in was almost 3 months later! I asked if my kid could at least get her shots as a walk in appointment (which I had been able to do in the past) so I could keep her on the correct vaccination schedule and was told it had to be a full appointment- even after getting multiple messages by text and email telling me how important wellness vaccines were, there was no cooperation from the appointment line staff. Pulled all 3 of my kids from the practice, need to be able to schedule appointments within a month at most... Pediatric dentist was AWFUL- tried to charge me twice for the same procedure, wouldn’t let me back with my child for a cavity filling because I had the baby with me, but then was unable to complete the work, so had me come back the second time even though I still had the baby? Then recommended pulling teeth and orthodontic care for my 7yo? Very terse bedside manner, which is definitely not conducive to treating children with any kind of nerves about dentists- now seeing Dr.Jenny at Pediatric Dentist Associates- They are A WORLD of difference!

Called about 30 times today May 1st,2019 and not a single time has someone answered the phone. Need new receptionist that can answer a phone. Better customer service and maybe some new business development cordnators that can address that issue.

Was 20 minutes late driving 2 hours to get there, tried calling ahead 3 times As I knew I would be late due to traffic from an accident early on and after being on hold for 15 minutes each time the person who answered was a call center and call dropped on transfer. After waiting 80 minutes in the waiting room asked how much longer and said they couldn’t tell me. Literally, that they couldn’t tell me. Just left and will be finding a different pediatric dentist.
