I love living here. Im in the independent living. The staff are kind & accommodating. Food is excellent

Mom and dad have been here for about a year. Dad is hard to please, but he loves the food and the staff here. The residents are friendly and really seem to look out for each other. When mom got sick, several people asked after her often and greeted her warmly when she returned.The upgrades they made recently are also great. They have a beautiful new pool and a new dining area.The prices here are also affordable and the apartments are very nice.

Mom lived at Discovery Village Boynton Beach for almost eight years until her recent passing. As Dementia overtook her she eventually graduated to the memory care floor for which she spent about half her stay. No matter what floor she was on she always told me how much she loved the facility and staff. I think she felt secure and she appreciated being treated with dignity. Throughout her life she always spoke her mind when she thought she was not being treated well but she never had a cross word to say about where she lived or those that took care of her at Discovery.Staff knew her as a very happy person, dancing and singing with the entertainment provided and they felt that she lifted up the rest of the residents with her behavior. During her early time there she played bingo (which she really enjoyed), participated in arts and crafts and listened to visiting speakers.Until she became less mobile we would walk the halls and discuss the many vintage pictures that are hanging throughout. It seemed that the only advantage to dementia at the time was that you could walk the same hall several times and each picture was a new discussion. We laughed at that.I can’t thank staff enough for all the care they gave mom and the constant updates to my brother and I as to the state of her well-being. We wholeheartedly recommend this facility should you or your loved ones require such care.

I recently moved my sister into the assisted facility.It has proved to be a perfect choice.To a person, everyone has been helpful, welcoming and most of all caring...from the administration people we dealt with , desk staff, nurses, activities and floor aides.The room is simple, clean and efficient.They are in the process of a facelift in the hall carpeting and outside grounds .The size of the facility is such that it feels intimate, an apartment building as opposed to a hospital.My sister is very happily settled and I would highly recommend Discovery Village

My mom had been at Discovery Village at Boynton Beach for 3 years. It has the most caring and kind people working there. They are so responsive to my moms needs, and keep my brother and I informed of everything happening with our mom. I am always able to reach out to someone to discuss my moms condition and needs. Mary Allen and Nikki have been especially wonderful in helping my mom, and our family, through these highly emotional years. Most importantly, my mother was incredibly happy there and felt safe, that is of paramount importance to us. Thank you to all the terrific people at Discovery Village of Boynton Beach-you are all so appreciated for the work you do. Sadly my mom passed away-at almost 94 years old. Her last years of life were made comfortable and safe. We will forever be grateful for the kindness shown my mother.

Discovery Village at Boynton Beach is a wonderful, caring, comfortable place. Mary Allen, the director of the assisted living building, is amazing. She and her staff go to any lengths necessary to insure the comfort, safety, and happiness of the residents. The apartments are all newly remodeled, and the food and activities are great. The chef is wonderful, the food is always really delicious. The staff do not come and go, the same people have been caring for my mother for the entire year that she has lived there. She is very well taken care of, I am notified immediately if any issue arises. I do not worry at all. We are very glad she chose Discovery Village.

Discovery Village has amazing care. The nurses are amazing and the community is beautiful. My mother has a brand new apartment and she loves the food. I would definitely recommend this community!

I have lived at this facility for almost three years but since the pandemic and eating in our apartmentsThe food and the menu have hit bottom. Most of the time there is nothing on the menu for peoplelike me on a restricted diet to eat. You would think they would have an alternate menu as I am sure I amnot the only one in this predicament. Have been happy here but am seriously considering moving. The chef?here and the management seem to like status quo. NOT ME.

Our client is so happy at Discovery Village. He has made lots of new friends and he enjoys the food and activities. But whats most important is the care that he receives. Safe, happy and healthy. We cant ask for anything more.

My father has lived in Independent living and there is always activities going on. The staff is extremely friendly and its a big improvement from the Brookdale a community he was at in the past.

My uncle has lived at Discovery Village for 4 years, moving through the different levels of independence. I live in California and am responsible for all of my uncle’s care. He recently had a stroke and the staff were very helpful in supporting me to make the difficult decision to move him to the memory care unit. I had to move quickly and staff went out of their way to ensure the process was completed while I was there. Being far away, communication is key for me and the various people I’ve dealt with have been very helpful, supportive, and responsive. Staff in both the assisted living and memory care units have been kind to my uncle and me. My uncle enjoys living at Discovery Village; he feels safe, taken care of, and especially enjoys the music and many other activities.

My mother is in the memory care unit at Discovery and the one outstanding feature I have found is the level of caring attention the residents get. The director of the facility is responsive, professional and giving of her time. The staff are friendly and warm to the residents. For two years prior to Covid my wife and I went to the memory care unit every day and always found the residents pleasant and happy with their surroundings and personnel. I am now out of town and feel 100% confident that my 104 year old mother is being well attended. In addition, they have a wonderful personal service program which every other week take my mother to her medical specialist. Highly recommend this facililty.

Better than being at home because the staff is professional and needs are tended to in a timely manor with expertise.Feel fortunate to have found such a good place for my loved one. My aunt is being transferred to memory care and they’re making this, otherwise difficult time, a seamless proposition. I know she’s in good hands.All my questions are answered and that puts my anxiety to rest.

I have a long term relationship with Discovery Village spanning 7 years. For my Mom we followed the recommended pattern of Independent living, then IL with added services, then Assisted Living, then ALF w added services until now complete care.So very content and satisfied. They built long term relationship and insightful care for Mom. So many examples. She feels safe, respected and cared for. By the way, the chef at the ALF is awesome!! I often order an extra meal for myself!Yes, 5 star service and moderate pricing. Really happy. All the best, Gerry

I would not trust Discovery Village with the life of a loved one, or even a stranger. I wish I could give zero stars. The best word that comes to mind when I think of the care at Discovery Village at Boynton Beach is negligent. It appears staff on the management team are encouraged to write positive reviews under false names here which is very dishonest. During COVID-19, I walked in the lobby and no one even asked who I was or what I was doing there. After they finally took my temperature the thermometer read 95.6 and they told me I was free to go. I witnessed several people without masks walking the campus. They failed to shut down the dining room during the start of the pandemic and exposed my family and many others to the virus in such an at-risk situation. The health department has been called to investigate but it appears will change has been made to promote the healthy and safety of the residents. There is no leadership; the Executive Director is indecisive and is putting people at risk with his inability to make sound, consistent decisions and give direction.

Discovery Villages has caring staff who are continually conscious of the needs of the residents. My experience with the staff has been above reproach. All requests have been completed within a reasonable time. Safety and security are impressively 24 hours a day. I would recommend residency here for any family member.

Excellent caring staff. Intimate family atmosphere for your loved ones. Small enough to be treated special but large enough to have lots of activities and food choices. Centrally located so easy access. Definitely the place to consider For that special someone.

Discovery Villages has been a resource for many of my clients and I always know that the clients will be well taken care of! The staff are very attentive, loving and a pleasure to work with!!

My dad is a resident there in memory care. My family and I are so happy with the care he gets. The staff there are so pleasant and attentive. My dad is so happy there we have nothing bad to say about this facility only good and recommend it highly.

Assisted living associates have absolutely no bedside manner.I would NOT put my worst enemys parents in this facility.Rudest... Most uncaring and incompetent group of individuals I have ever encountered.Keep searching.Independent living has a very nice and professional staff.

This job is very unorganized, and has low pay, there is no room to grow, and management lack understanding, they require no experience because none of them have any. Only pros at Discovery is benefits and holiday pay! Trust me keep looking for another job, and thank me later!

Discovery village is a terrible place to give your time there not passionate about their food or residence, and rather throw away food rather then feed their servers they offer you a meal to take $3 out your check and the chefs won’t cook it or even give leftovers from that night and management ignores it all! Lost village should be the name!
